Excellent location. Lovely pool and bar area. However the room was really rundown as was the rest of the interior of the hotel. Staff very pleasant. Safe didn’t work so we had to take all valuable items out with us. Door felt like cardboard!

We specifically booked a kitchen unit so we could cook our own meals. What we received was a unit that had a frig, cookstove and oven and a 4 cup coffee maker. The problem was there was 1, qt size pot, 1, 6" fry pan, nothing that would work in the oven, that was it for cookware. For eating and serving we had 1 spoon, 1 fork, no knives for cutting, no mixing bowls only 4 dessert bowls. In speaking to the manager about the sparseness of the kitchen he said "most people don't really cook". BEWARE if you plan on "ACTUALLY" cooking.

Horrible room!

From the time we checked in until we left, all staff extremely friendly and welcoming made us feel like family! Local motel directly on boardwalk and beach , not in room much so pool, beach, bar and market next door was absolutely amazing!! We will be back real soon to visit our new Caribbean family !!

Small local hotel, right on beach, freen beach chairs and umbrella! Loved their little bar!!! Helped us with taxies! Not fancy...but a local feel!

This Hotel has a perfect location: right in front of the beach, between restaurants, convenience stores, and bars. The area is crowded when there is a cruise ship, other than that it is very quiet. Besides it is not a fancy Hotel I do recommend it.

Property well located and close to Supermarket and local restaurants. The hotel did not have ant laundry facilities.

The staff here are amazing. Always friendly, always positive and going out-of-the-way to meet guest's requests. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. The TV didn't work. (But I wasn't there to watch TV) There was no phone in the room. (But was nice not to be bothered with phone calls.) There was an iron in the room but no ironing board??? (Really??) The restaurant downstairs offers amazing food and cocktails . . . Yet there is no menu or mention of it in the room??? Surely you would want your in-house guests to know about all the facilities in your hotel and spend their money in-house?? **Hayley makes an UNREAL 'Cadillac Margarita'. . . . Just saying . . .

The property is conveniently located there should be an umbrella on the suites patio considering the high temperatures. Also on the days that there are no cruise ships in the hotel would not put out beach chairs or umbrellas when I asked for them I had to go further down the beach and rent them from another establishment

this is listed as a 3 star hotel and that is overall fair. it is an older property and is showing it's age with patched paint jobs, photo-aged blinds and curtains, and "non-OME" but functional "fix its" abound. However, it is on a very nice walkway around a beautiful and clean beach in a protected cove close to all kinds of ethnic dining and water sport activities. the bed was comfortable, everything worked even if it wasn't of Marriott level appearance. the staff was friendly and accommodating. the ground level of the building is a bar next to a small but attractive pool area and right next door to a local grocery store with a breakfast and lunch buffet. it is not beautiful but it is functional, inexpensive, and comfortable. If you are going to spend any large amount of time in the room, you probably should look elsewhere. if you sleep and change clothes there and are out enjoying the island the whole day but are on a budget, this will work.

The hotel and it's staff are fine. The location is good. Only a bit old and lacks many services, like not having enough towels to change. Overall good.

Great affordable place to stay when in St Maarten if your always out on the go. Staff was super friendly but then again the entire island is. Great food in the area and the bar downstairs is great also. If you’re thinking about getting a rental parking in the area is scarce lol. Would definitely stay there again

The staff was extremely accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met. While the kitchen supplies provided did not meet my specific requirements, the front desk staff promptly resolved the issue by obtaining the necessary items. Although the property itself may not be considered luxurious, it was well-maintained and its location was highly convenient.

Nice staff, hotel is oké. It's a bit old, but very welcoming. I liked the pool, bar and the other facilities around the hotel. The pricing is reasonable. I would recommend this hotel for low budget trips.

Run down and loud. To be fair though, it was Carnival season. We only stayed one night in the main hotel. Would not stay here again.

Another wonderful stay at Seaview. Perfectly located in Phillipsburg, providing access to Restaurants, shopping and outdoor activities. Will stay here again and again.

This review is about the seaview room where we stayed and loved. This was our first time in St Marteen and when we entered first the hotel i was taken back because it looked like a old motel. Then i was showing my room and i was left speechless. One floor stairs and we were right at the most beautiful beach just like Aruba but at a fraction of price. I am a clean freak and the room was spotless and everywhere we walked in the hotel was very clean. There is a market next door which was very convenient to fill the fridge and the hotel has a restaurant and bar. The good was excellent. We would walk late at night and felt very safe. The only down thing thats has nothing to do with the hotel was that everything was shutting down at 6pm. Overall we spent 5 wonderful days and cannot wait for next year to go back for more days. Thank you everyone at Seaview Hotel.

When I advised that I didn't like the bed, we were put into another room that was much better to my liking...really friendly staff...

Hotel itself is ok - the pool, beachand bar views make it better. there is a convenience store located in hotel which is the only thing really open after 5pm. Area is busy with cruise goers. gets really dead at night and a little sketchy. good cheap option for short stays but not great long term.

Great little hotel directly on the beach. Has a small unique pool facing the beach. Has a bar, serves a good selection of food and drinks. Staff was friendly especially Claudette and Ikeyma. Both of these ladies made my stay special and memorable. Some rooms are dated but Most importantly they have comfortable clean beds, cold AC and I had a fridge that kept my drinks ice cold. I wasn’t there for a luxury room.

Everyone was friendly including the staff at the attached pool/bar. Hotel was clean and was able to get into our room a little earlier than check in. The beds are a little uncomfortable. A lot of shops on this street on both sides of the hotel and of course the beach right out back!

The hotel was located in a great area. There is no parking at the hotel though. we had a room that was outside located next to the pool area on the second floor and there was one night where they played very loud music until approximately 11:00 PM. Most of the staff was OK, unable to call for a taxi and having;Most of the staff was OK however we did miss a activity event partially due to the front desk clerk, unable to call for a taxi and having us wait for 30 minutes. The pool area was nice though. We booked a double twin-size bed room. The room was very small.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were well kept and always cleaned.

Great to be back at the Seaview Beach Hotel. Lovely upgrades to the outdoor areas, including the cabanas and infinity pool. Owners are working continually to modernize the hotel rooms and interior spaces. Can’t wait to see what’s been completed next time I visit.

No Parking and place feels more like a motel

It's on the boardwalk, you can walk along the beach, restaurant, bars.

Clean and cozy. Everything we needed for a quiet excursion to Philipsburg.

Pro and cons place was clean rooms outdated but clean and crowded when cruise ships are in as the hotel caters to the cruiships so it gets pretty crowded during the days and when no cruise ships are in there's not a whole bunch open in the area ,very few dinning options after 6 pm enjoyed our stay the staff were all friendly and helpful and the area was affordable for cabs around the island and there's a bus stop right close on back street I would stay again

Overall. This was a good experience for me. I solo traveled there and felt safe. The staff was nice and helped when needed. I was able to walk to everything I needed. Took a taxi only when I wanted to. I highly recommend for anyone wanting a place that is easily accessible to the beach and tourist activities.

From my room I could hear the music from the bar, it didn’t bother me but maybe it would other people. The area mostly shuts down at 4/5 pm when the cruise ships leave. There are still a few restaurants and stores open. My bed was noisy but comfy.

A good option if you want to stay at Phillisburg.

This hotel is quite old. The hotel part of the facilities needs upgrading, for sure. However the grounds are wonderful and for me make up for the lack of modernization of the hot e l part. There is a nice pool, a bar with good drinks and good food right on the property. There is a grocery store on property. A bit spendy but handy. It is on the boarwalk so close to sand, beach and shopping. One siae is on the beach, the other on a main road for shopping .

Seaview still remains an affordable alternative for accommodation in St Maarten. It needs a little upgrading, need laundry facilities on premises a microwave in the room would be nice to heat leftovers from dinner, The pool bar is really cool to hang out

The cabana and cafe area is a bright spot along the teeming bay where cruise ships dock. The rooms are older and bare bones, but lead to a nice veranda overlooking the property.

The property focuses on their pool and bar that is in front of the Boardwalk. They pay much less attention to the upkeep of the rooms. With that said, I thought the bed and linens were very good. The place needs to be upgraded. They could charge much more if they invested in their property.

Perfect location! Walkable to all shopping and dining. 25 - 30 minute ride from the airport. Though our room with 2 twin beds is in need of an upgrade, we only paid $95/ night. Everything else about the hotel is spectacular! The infinity pool overlooking the Great Bay, steps from the beach, includes chair, umbrella n towel on the beach, the staff is great, pizza is delicious, great area to relax at night n enjoy music, a drink and the view. Would definitely stay again.

Location in Philipsburg and beach access (including pool and bar) are perfect. Rooms and services, although correct and functional, are in need of a little TLC... I can recommend for a short stay (beds were comfortable and room was clean), but don't expect modern and/or luxurious... until fully renovated. Very limited activities on the beachfront when no cruiseships in port.

N'ayez pas trop d'attente

Belle piscine et vue sur la mer. Personnel a la réception et au bar vraiment gentil. Mais la chambre vraiment pas insonorisé, pas très propre, beaucoup de cheveux dans la douche qui n'a pas de rideaux donc splash partout... frigidaire fait beaucoup de bruit. Contour de la porte de chambre pas étanche on voit la lumière du couloir. J'ai réservé le studio avec balcon et cuisinette mais la chambre n'était plus disponible et ils n'ont pas voulu me rembourser la différence car ils m'ont donné une chambre plus petite sans balcon et cuisinette. Beaucoup de moisi dans la salle de bain. Je n'y retournerai pas sauf pour passer la journée à la piscine.

I like everything about property

Staff is great, helpful and very friendly. The hotel is in need of a complete update, regarding the rooms, if my room is any indication. There are only two lights in the room. There’s a light as soon as you enter the room and a light in the bathroom. There are no lights or lamps near the bed or on the end tables next to the beds. That means if you’re in bed and you want to turn off the light, you have to get off the bed and walk to the switch near to the door entrance to the room and turn off the light, then you are in darkness when you return to the bed if it’s at night. The room furniture meaning the end tables and the desk need to be updated. There are limited outlets, and they are both behind the end tables next to the bed. There are no screens on the windows so if you want fresh air, the bugs have full access into the room. Thankfully during my stay, that was not an issue they were no bugs, I did not use the air conditioning as I don't like air-conditioning. It’s only three floors, there are no elevators. it’s located right in the middle of Phillipsburg so it’s very convenient to everything in addition to it being basically on the beach and boardwalk. Saying all of this I probably would return, due to price but it does need an update.

Late night, very loud, music outside room.

The rooms need an upgrade. Receptionists are freindly. Back of the hotel is the beach and walkable to some restaurant. Their restaurant has good foods. Parking is terrible. No place to park your car.

The location is excellent. It is right on the boardwalk. The infinity pool and restaurant are just beside the boardwalk and beach. The rooms are nothing fancy but all you need. The chef at the restaurant prepares excellent meals.

The beach view and lounge area are very beautiful

Too many stairs to traverse if you have alot of luggage or heavy luggage. No laundry facilities available. A washcloth was not provided instead got a medium size cloth to wash with so bathing was combersome. The closet had rust in the corner and looked dirty, wasn’t given the possibility of putting luggage in there. Closet was only good to hang clothes in hangers. However, the hotel has easy access to shops/stores in main shopping district in Philipsburg. The Casino is a few steps away if you enjoy that. Hotel is overall good but needs updating.

In the heart of the shopping centre and board walk activities. However, there was a rude waitress and bartender who addressed me as if I was not a guess or welcomed by the pool area. I guess I didn't look or fit the part. Other than that, the hotel is clean. The sea views are amazing. The beach access is easy and everything I need is right there. Parking is right outside the hotel doors. The renovations are almost completed and its not really noticeable. Will come again.

ok but loud music

It was ok, the pool is nice, but they had loud music playing in the bar/pool until 11pm which gets to the rooms so you can't sleep if you need to go to bed early.

Meets my needs.

Room was not what I expected actually I booked a city view room but got another room. Was very noisy until midnight I was never informed of this . Bathroom needs an upgrade toilet is not stable face basin water backs up in there. Room needs a paint job. There is to much dislikes so I will not be staying at this property again.

Clean Property, quiet and peaceful surroundings.

The property is undergoing renovations to the exterior. The rooms are clean but very dated. We did not receive the room I reserved and for which I had paid. When bringing it to the hotel's attention, they would not refund any difference between the room rates. They told me to go to Expedia. When I did and Expedia tried to contact the hotel, the property said it was after the fact and they would not give me any portion of a credit. I do not recommend this property until the rooms are redone. There are other places in the vicinity that I would choose over Seaview Beach hotel. I booked it because the price was reasonable but in this case, I didn't receive the value for the price. Pay a little more and get a better place.

Quality time

Our time at Seaview was awesome. We enjoyed our short little visit. The beach is right behind of the hotel and the pool is great.

The rooms need to be renovated and be cleaner but it looks like they were working on it. Despite that, location is great, bar and pool area are brand new and superb. Good for 1 or 2 night stay. Shout out to Claudette and Jessie from the bar . They were so nice and helpful.

I received a calm and lovely room that was very clean

The hotel pictures are NOT the rooms they rent to customers who book through Expedia. We were kindly explained that the nice remodeled rooms only go to guests who book directly with Seaview Hotel. We paid extra for an upgraded room and got something furnished 20 years ago. No coffee maker/pot in room nor in their hotel kitchen downstairs! Instant coffee packets in the hotel kitchen downstairs. You have to use the community microwave to heat water for the instant coffee = Sad. Expedia should NOT allow Seaview to post remodeled room photos. We felt deceived. Only photos of the actual rooms rented to Expedia customers should be posted. No one would be excited to rent the rooms with the actual photos. We definitely would have rented somewhere other than the Seaview had we known.

Located on the beach and has its own supermarket that does buffet breakfast and lunch so there was no need to leave

Property looks fantastic after renovation. I noticed nobody rented the cabanas, maybe they need to create rooms in that area to make it more profitable. They offer pool day pass for 10 dollars. Yeah, kids running and yelling all day. The Market is good, nice breakfast. For the price, it worth the stay.

We hope to return when the extensive renovation is complete as it looks as though it will be terrific. Right now it is a construction zone. Staff was exremely helpful and friendly and the rooms were spotless, but old. There will be an elevator but now there are 2 flights of stairs to manage. When finished there will be a pool, bar and many amenities and it is right on the beach. Stay tuned!

It was perfect for a one night stay- close to port. Lovely sea view, fluffy towels, beautiful tile floors. Clean, comfy beds.

THE STAFF WAS INCREDIBLY FRIENDLY AND GRACIOUS. I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THEIR GREAT SERVICE. WE WILL BE BACK WHEN IT IS DONE WITH THE RENOVATIONS.
