Good hotel, decent food options from half board package

The staff and general service levels were superb. Nothing was too much trouble. It's situated on a nice beach with a good sea swimming area. The rooms were clean and modern. Highly recommended.

All staff was very friendly and not over the top so you feel very comfortable. We stayed in the Royal Sea suite and the private pool is definitely a wonderful luxury. You are also on the edge of the resort so you get more privacy. Food was great, they accommodate dietary requirements ... nothing to fault. And did I mention the view is just stunning?

The hotel is beautiful and well kept , the staff are so welcoming and obliging every guest is treat like a v.i.p I have never stayed anywhere that has given such a personal service as they do . Perhaps the most beautiful and comfortable room we’ve ever had in many years if travel. Staff very friendly, but suggest a handout that repeats the large amount of info given on the welcome tour. We missed the dinner dress code and were confused about dining arrangements in general.

Best honeymoon ever!!

The hotel was absolutely stunning and I literally had the best holiday in my life :) The food was amazing and very reasonably priced and the customer service is just phenomenal. This is what t means to be customer centric!! They offer whatever the customers ask for (additional towels, bottle of water) and they go out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. We were staying at another 5-star hotel before coming to Seasense but the quality of the food, the staff, the rooms and the beach was just miles away. I would love to stay at this hotel again!!

Good location and well laid not but could do with better separation between Smokers and Diners in the evening.

Superb hotel.Adults only therefore quiet and relaxed.Infinity heated pool with stunning sea views a definite X plus factor.Service 10/10.Room 10/10. Food trendy and good -perhaps lacking a tad on the ethnic creole flavors.Beach outstanding,clean and extensive. Only two questions to ask: 1) Did you enjoy and 2) Would you go back.Yes and Yes.

Overall hotel and service great. Good also good. Lack of information in rooms about hotel facilities and how meal packages work - this would have been very useful. On last night we settled Bill and paid for any additional purchases by cash. Late night phone call followed by knock on door to check our payment receipts- felt like we had been trying to leave without paying when we had paid cash on every purchase. Left us with bad feeling and I did mention this on the in room review form but no apology as yet!

Probably better elsewhere in the area

Don’t have sea view from room despite being assured of it. Arrival service not great at all.

Seasense exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredible from start to finish and were there for whatever you needed. The room was clean and comfortable. The ocean views were incredible. The food was really good. The only recoendations I could make are to have more vegetarian options for the menu. Other than that.. I can’t wait to return!

Lovely personable new hotel

Newly opened 4 days before our arrival so a few snagging issues like not all rooms had luggage racks or coffee machines. Also our window was not locking but they moved us into a different room relatively quickly. All the staff try very hard to provide great customer service and were most helpful whenever we needed anything. We decided to upgrade our room in celebration of our wedding anniversary and Jason did a wonderful job helping us get a poolside suite and making it a most memorable stay. We really enjoyed the food too, there’s a fairly wide selection for dinner and adventurous dishes. Absolutely loved their foie gras soup, best soup I have ever had and their Mauritian mains were all very tasty! And my husband was particularly excited they had premier football channel! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and felt sad to leave. Special thanks to Jason and all the staff for making it a fantastic stay. Further thanks for the attentative dinner service from Ajay and a tall guy (sorry I didn’t catch your name but you served me the coconut surprise and said I was the first to order it!)

Brilliant staff make up for the problems

We were one of the couples affected by the various issues which forced the hotel to relocate us at Lux Belle Mare for our first night. We were upgraded to half-board for that night and received a complimentary lunch the next day at the SeaSense. And may I record our thanks for these gestures. However, may I now point out that the staff were absolutely brilliant - they did everything possible to make sure the guests could see they were doing their utmost to overcome all the hotel's teething issues. We only lasted one night in room 102, before it started flooding, so we were moved to 107. On our day of departure, we had both water and electrical problems in room 107, but again, the staffs' responses to these problems do not deserve any criticisms. Apart from all that, if these things hadn't happened, what's our opinion of the SeaSense? In time, it should be a very very good Boutique Hotel - somewhere between 4* and 5*. The buffet breakfast was very good and sufficient and included a hot cooked eggs dish of your choice. Most luxurious rooms are a stone's throw from the sea and little sandy beach. Beach loungers and thatched shading are provided as is waiter service. A much better stretch of beach is a couple of headlands away in the direction of Palmar - when we went it was completely deserted. But I cannot overstate how well the staff attend to their guests.

Some issues overridden by gr8 staff and setting

Arrived two days after the hotel opened so naturally there were teething issues, that holds back a perfect rating. In addition some things weren't ready to go (limited water sports whilst equipment arrived/limited spa availability as work was completing) However, the setting is beautiful and rooms open up directly to the beach. The staff were fantastic and helpful when things went wrong. Day by day we saw the changes in decor etc which was lovely. The food was very tasty. Would love to come back in a month or so as I imagine it will be great with the team there. Special mention to Jason and Satish who were very helpful.

Ein wunderbares und schönes Hotel. Da und dort etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Es wird aber rücksichtsvoll für die Gäste renoviert. Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit einer Terrasse und direktem Zugang zum lediglich 20 Meter entfernten Strand (eigentlich lag unser Zimmer direkt am Strand). Das war ein Highlight und absolut zu empfehlen. Der Strand ist sehr gepflegt. Alles in allem ist alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Das gesamte Personal ist freundlich, herzlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Vor allem beim Servicepersonal sind uns Jerome und Silvana sehr ans Herz gewachsen. Die Küche ist hervorragend. Das Frühstücksbuffet am Morgen und das Dreigängemenü am Abend lassen keine Wünsche offen. In den drei Wochen waren wir zweimal im Spa und haben nebst Sauna auch Massagen gebucht. Shika und Kasana haben uns hervorragend im Spa begleitet. Eigentlich ist um 11:30 Uhr Checkout. Das Management hat uns aber einen Late-Checkout ermöglicht und so konnten wir vor unserem Abflug die Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels bis zur Abreise am frühen Abend geniessen. Vielen lieben Dank, Youna und dem Management. Ein Urlaub im Seasense Boutique Hotel & Spa ist wirklich zu empfehlen.

Fantastisk ophold hvor billederne levede op til alt - og mere til! Service niveauet var sublimt og der var vitterligt ikke en finger at sætte på noget.

Romantik pur

Eine sehr gelungene und ruhige Anlage- übersichtlich. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Großes Frühstücksbüfett und Abendessen sehr aufwendig. Wer Abendessen mit bucht muss sich mit einfacheren Essen abfinden. Jederzeit kann ein Upgrade genommen werden. Preise sind sehr sportlich, vor allem für Aktivitäten und Spa. Sich unbedingt nach Alternativen umschauen.

Bel établissement et belle plage. Personnel serviable et sympathique. Bon Petit déjeuner par contre les repas du soir n’étaient pas à notre convenance.

Tout est très bien si ce n’est le staff qui n’est pas toujours très aimable.

Ett mysigt boutiquehotel. Det mesta var väldigt bra, men eftersom detta skulle vara 5-stjärnigt har jag lite synpunkter. Det var verkligen beroende på vilken personal man mötte om man fick bra service eller inte. Då vi kom möttes vi av en otrevlig kvinna som varken sa hej, välkommen eller såg till att någon tog hand om våra väskor. Sedan visades vi gudskelov runt av en annan mycket glad och trevlig kvinna och så fortsatte det. Första kvällen vid middagen var outstanding medan personalen en annan kväll glömde allt, kom med drinken till förrätten och vinet till desserten och till och med storgrälade med höga röster precis bredvid oss. Det blev ingen lugn och trevlig middag. Det var stopp i avloppet och luktade unket. En kväll fungerade inte air condition. Inte ett 5-stjärnigt hotell som jag är van vid.

All in all: fantastic!

The resort is beautifully located in a what seems like a private lagune at a stunning beach, good for long walks or runs. As it is on the more laid back east coast you can find it sometimes windy, so it is luckily never extremely hot. The place exceeded my expectations based on the pictures and impressions I got from the hotel webpage. Upon my arrival I was already expected, got a warm welcome from the front desk staff, and also the magament was there to say hello. Right after the immidiate quick + personalized check-in I got all necessary information, was shown the resort on the way to my room. Also the check-out was very convenient and easy and I could get a late check-out. Troughout my stay (10 days) I could experience a staff who really cares about their guests, from housekeeping, restaurant + bar service, front office to the management. Always someone ready to help and serve ones wishes/needs. The front desk was very helpful in planning /organizing some island tours for me. It also was arranged that I could stay one night on the not less stunning Chalets Chamarel (spectacular view). One gets all 5 Star Hotel amenities, such as daily essentials, complimentary Wi-fi, gym, bikes, local live music at dinner; I also want to mention the outstanding menu and lovely presentation of the food. Although, it would be nice to have some vegetarian options, which you certainly get upon request. It was easy to enjoy holidays. Thanks for a memorable experience!

Amazing luxurious hotel on the beach.

The rooms were great, with view of the ocean from the balcony. It feels very private, like you're the only ones on the island. The employees remember you and are very friendly.

Underbar resort med hög ambitionsnivå på fantastisk vacker strand. Vi letade länge efter rätt hotell och blev väldigt nöjda med vårt val. Hotellet är litet, personligt och en plats att verkligen ta det lugnt på. I och med att hela hotellet är nyrenoverat är det en fräsch och modern känsla över hela anläggningen. Tänk på att det är en resort och att det förutom kringliggande hotell är begränsat med andra resturanger och liknande. Rekommenderar detta hotell varmt.

Muito bom!

Hotel novo, confortável e com estilo de praia de bom gosto. Comida de qualidade e com cardápio variado. Há opção de serviço com all inclusive, meia pensão ou só café da manhã. O all inclusive não inclui todos os pratos do cardápio. Fiquei no regime de meia pensão (café da manhã e jantar). Os pratos são bons e saborosos. As bebidas são caras e pagas à parte, assim como os lanches disponíveis. Funcionários gentis e educados, sempre querendo agradar. A praia é muito bonita, com água com vários tons de azul. O hotel não localiza-se na melhor parte da praia, que fica na minha opinião, cerca de 1km de caminhada para o lado esquerdo. Ali sim, uma paisagem de recife de corais, piscinas naturais e água cristalina de encher os olhos!

Great relaxation

Beautiful newly restored resort. Friendly staff but some hiccups with service and food. There is nothing really to do in the immediate surroundings, but Mauritius has lots to offer if you invest in driving 1/2 to 1 hour away.

Struttura moderna e curata: tappa finale del nostro tour dell'isola, ideale per rilassarsi. Ci hanno accolto con calore e professionalità, personale sempre attento e gentile. Camera e bagno spaziosi, puliti e confortevoli. Colazione super: ampia scelta di dolce e salato. Abbiamo apprezzato molto anche le cene. Spiaggia tranquilla e perfetta per lunghe passeggiate (sempre con le scarpette). Bella anche la piscina con vista sul mare! Ci tornerei sicuramente!

nice beach, nice room, but one night no electricity and no water ,so we cannot take shower. And the most important thing are they are not honest! They try to charge us in different way, they send us the bill before check out, it said we order coconut in the bar that we never visit , it said we took the chocolate from mini bar which we never take. then we explained to the reception and settled. When I back to home for a few weeks later, we received bank statement, the hotel charge our room rate again, but we paid to expedia already! Then I report to expedia, expedia said the hotel didn't reply them.Really? it's over one month still no reply?! Now I hope expedia /hotel can refund to me if they are wrongly charge instead of stealing customer's money from credit card. otherwise , if ppl want to stay at this hotel should think before u stay, DOUBLE charge! i m not the only one

Neugebautes Hotel mit schöner Anlage abseits der Touristenzentren, zum Entspannen und Relaxen bestens geeignet, eingeschränktes Angebot an Wassersport-Aktivitäten, Spa-Bereich vorhanden, Ostwinde machen die Hitze erträglich, im Service beim Essen wird sich das Team sicher noch besser einspielen (dann sollten auch die 5 Sterne gerechtfertigt sein)

Good hotel, but troublesome reception staff

Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, except for a few minor inconveniences caused by the reopening of the hotel just a few days before our arrival. Due to the exceptional cleaning services, and restaurant staff, and overall view, we first wanted to give the hotel a 4 out of 5 stars rating. HOWEVER, the incompetence of the reception staff is causing me a very expensive problem of almost €1200 to this day. Even though we explained to the receptionist that our hotel stay had already been paid through Expedia, they have charged my credit card without my authorisation. Expedia has been trying to get our money back for a month now, but the hotel is not replying to their enquires, which is absolutely unacceptable for a 5-star hotel. This has cast a shadow over our otherwise wonderful holiday and has caused a lot of unnecessary stress and work for me.

Hotel refait à neuf, bien placé face à l'océan, proche de Trou d'Eau et surtout des belles plages de Palmar et Belle Mare; Chambre de luxe vue sur l'océan, très agréable, mais quelques petits détails à revoir pour améliorer vu le nombre d'étoiles et le prix : manque un miroir dans la chambre, une bouteille d'eau pourrait être offerte, quelques fruits aussi le jour de l'arrivée, pas de quoi accrocher les vêtements dans la salle de bain, il faudrait occulter la porte de la salle de bain qui laisse passer la lumière) Très bon accueil, le personnel est très poli, très à l'écoute et très serviable; niveau restauration, quelques petits réglages dans les prises de commande et ce sera encore mieux, mais c'est déjà très bien et très bon; super agréable de prendre le petit déjeuner sur la terrasse face à l'océan.

Les plus sont la plage de l'hôtel qui et magnifique et le plagiste Thierry qui et au top et la cuisine qui était excellente mais au niveau prestation ces pour moi un bonne hotel 3 étoiles jai vu beaucoup mieux

Espectacular. Muy agradable el lugar y Sus instalaciones. Preciosa vista, y toda las habitaciones están junto a la playa. Atención sobresaliente y amables. Servicio de spa bueno Recién inaugurado, faltas menores, corregibles Cocina sensacional La ubicación es lejana a grandes atracciones y aeropuerto. sale más barato un taxi del aeropuerto que el transfer del hotel.
