Nice resort
I love the bedroom and the bed only thing I didn’t like was the tv didn’t work I enjoyed the show this is my third time staying there the last time I met the Owners daughter and she was very polite and nice I am sending my family to stay there there
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be coming back!
The issue that we had upon arrival was having no wash clothes. We had to wash up one night with hand towels.
Satisfactory
Great resort! I highly recommend this property. Don’t listen to negative reviews. This place is great! Cleaner than most hotels in the US and lots to do! Also a great place if you like to plane spot as the approach end to the runway runs right by the private beach.
The staff are kind and helpful my husband and i enjoyed our stay would recommend to anyone. at first i wasn't satisfied with the room that I was giving because that's not what i have booked. was planning and leaving but changed my mind after i spoke with a wonderful staff sorry i forgot her name but a sales clerk at front desk i believe her name is Claudia. she is amazing. Just wanted to say a big thanks to all the staff for their hard work..
The room have a step up to the bed , that is not safe , need to be addressed. .
Enjoyed my time there. It can be a little loud if you chose to face the beach but other than that it was a wonder hotel with very helpful staff.
Customer service was poor. Hotel was out dated and the food made me sick
This is our third stay at Seagarden. We love the staff, the beach and food. Its clean and safe. The grounds are beautiful.
Poor staff
The property was good just amazing love it
Overall property was good i enjoyed my stay and the food was excellent. Lots of entertainment and restaurants options
Sea Garden provided the ultimate trip to JA. The staff is kind, helpful and genuinely want you to have a great time. The locals add the flavor of JA. I will be back!
The food was horrible and the set up of room. It looked like adjoining rooms but although the doors were closed. I can hear the other people clearly
While the personal overall is friendly, it would take time to fulfill a request. We had missing towels half of the stay. It would take a long time to get them after requesting. Room needs renovation. We were on the first floor, so we had hot water, but it was very hard to control the temperature once you open the shower. It would get very hot and then change to cold, then back to hot. There were some small bugs, including a lot of mosquitoes.
Serita was excellent and she was always going above and beyond her call of duty. She loves what she does! Great service .Leandra was also Excellent at her and treated us like royalty!!!
Beautiful property with amazing, friendly staff! Highly recommend staying here! We loved it!
The property was clean and well kept.
It’s a nice budget resort. The food was authentic and delicious. The facilities were dated but very clean. The entertainment was superb!!!!!!! Great performances and guests participated!
The room was ok but I didn't like the many extension cords, I had to use the outlet in the bathroom to charge phone. All the wall had a door, four walls, four doors so I could clearly hear the person speaking in the adjoining rooms.
I had a wonderful experience food and entertainment was awesome
Beautiful property, nice beach, the entertainment was very good, room was clean, but most of all the staff were extremely friendly, helpful, outstanding customer service. I would definitely come back to Sea Garden
N/A
The resort is older but the staff is wonderful lovely beach and food is overall good
Location is ideal. Food was great. Facility is aged and not kept well.
we loved the private beach right on the ocean
I loved being at this hotel! All the staff were very dedicated to giving us the best accommodation! Good food! Wonderful beach! We will definitely be back😍
We stayed here, because we had to come in early due to a snow storm. I would not stay here again ever! People were ok! Food was not good! Drinks were not good! Rooms were grungy! No and I mean no hot water or water pressure at all! About got hit by fall palm leave! BIG PALM LEAVE! This place reminded me of a place in a scary movie!
Alway stay there when in montego bay .
The staff was so nice. It took a day or so to get towels. There was a huge rat lurking around the jacuzzi. The food was surprisingly good but since I am not a fan of curry or spicy things I do recommend making reservations for the resturants. I think the breakfast was the best option as far as the buffet style dinning available. There is plenty to do and you will not be bored. We had a blast. The beds are hard. There is no blanket or comforter. Also the water pressure is funky and you need to play with it in order to get sustained hot water. Even then it's a bit of a chore. The live entertainment was amazing. They have a gift shop on site. One of the best vacations I have had. Would book again for the family. It was perfect for my kid. Nice small beach. Nice pool. Nice game room. It was all very nice. The rooms are under whelming but for what you get with the price you learn to be ok with it. We would return again!
Some of the staff was super nice, and some of them acted like we were an inconvenience. Also they make using the towels very annoying. Pool is beautiful, beach area is very nice. Room was super clean, and housekeeping did a very nice job. Bellhops were very kind!
This my third time staying at the property and I continue to recommend this property based on my prior experiences. It is the home away from home that I want. Anise and the team are excellent hosts. The fact that we can have access to a private beach managed by the hotel is a very positive thing, the views from the beach are priceless. I have had very positive experiences and recommended this resort to family and friends.
Even though we received a full refund, the property was in deployable conditions. There was an issue in the shower. It was dirty. They need to do aconditions. There was a issue in the shower. It was dirty. They need to do a whole lot of updates. We change our locations to the Catalina, which was amazing.
I’ll visit again
The resort employees were very welcoming, it was a great experience food was good. Room was cleaned each day I have zero complaints and would recommend this place to my friends and family. Felt good being amongst my own people and even better being treated as if I was home.
Great staff! Beautiful facility, the food was amazing!!!
Staff are very friendly, and it feels very comfortable and home like.
If you’re looking for a cheap stay, this is the place for you! The rooms look nothing like the pictures online and the food choices are minimal at best! The room had mosquitoes and the air conditioning went on and off the whole day! There was construction being done near our room which made it difficult to relax! I would not recommend this hotel!
Highly recommend
Location is decent and the property is clean.
Perfect location. Beach was great. All staff interaction was friendly and helpful!
Beautiful surroundings, clean comfortable bed and great local food
The Resort and the surroundings give you a close immersion in Jamaican culture. The place was clean, and the service was good. The check-in was easy with Giovany’s help. I have to mention the lady who was cleaning our rooms, “Cerite”; she was very kind, sweet and helpful. Our favorite resort crew member was ‘Lyndo’” He was very kind and respectful. He gave us some tips about how to move around the city safely, the cocktails he prepared at the bar were very tasty, and the most important part was his sincerity when talking about the exchange of US Dollars to the local currency. For him the most important part was to make sure we were safe, well attended, and that we were having fun. The only recommendation we have is that the resort needs more options on the buffet, the same food at dinner every day was boring by the third day.
Air Conditioner broke. Refrigerator broke. No wash cloths, no tv service, no phone in room . Do i need to say anymore
The resort was located near a beautiful beach and I like the short distance from the airport. The staff was very nice and helpful. I just wish they had more food options, the buffet is good if you like the local food. The resort is a little outdated, can use some updates. Overall good for the price and family orientated.
Excellent staff
Look you’re gonna see people on here talk about this property not being great. It’s what you make it. If you’re nice to the staff and tip they are amazing! If you want a 5 star room this might not be the place for you but it was clean, air worked and had a king size bed! We didn’t want to spend much time in room but had a great balcony…most of our time was spent at the beach area and there is plenty of spaces to get away from it all (4 beach areas and multiple covered areas for relaxing). Pool isn’t huge but there was never a ton of people in it! Food was good. Jerk chicken very good. Italian restaurant very good. Steak house was extra cost but very good. Buffet was fine and pool and bar area had burgers and things! If you’re looking for an inexpensive trip to Jamaica I highly recommend you check it out. Short walk to downtown Montego Bay as well. My wife, friends and I had a great time celebrating her birthday!
Quick 2nuights
It’s was good. Room clean but no hot water in the shower. The food choices is just ok and could do better with the food. Staff are very polite, professional and family oriented
We were very impressed with this property. My husband and I have stayed at Beaches Ocho Rio in 2023 and Sea Garden had nicer amenities and buffet food. We had a standard room with one king bed and the room was huge and very clean. Bathrooms were outdated but not dirty. We had hot water although it would quickly move to cold then back to hot during our stay. We didn’t report to staff. We saw housekeeping everyday and they were always going above and beyond with fresh towels and bottle waters. We ate at the 2 restaurants on property, the buffet, and the bar grill. The buffet food for dinner was flavorful and we both agreed it was better than Beaches buffet. There is one restaurant that costs extra money but our party of 4 people all agreed it was worth the extra $38 per person. It was a beautiful, romantic area with a 5 course meal. We ate at the Italian restaurant twice and it was good as well. There was nothing fancy about the pool but they did have pool volleyball, Plenty of seating and lounge chairs. There is a pool bar and a deli there too. The beach was across the street but there is a crossing guard at all times and it didn’t feel like we were really crossing a major road. The beach area was our favorite. We ate at the grill almost daily. The bar opened at 10am and served drinks until 5:30pm. The beach appeared small but it was perfect. There is plenty of seating and different areas to lay. We loved Sea Garden!!
What I liked about this property is the fact that it’s not a huge hotel and you get to know a lot of people. The entertainment team was amazing and the staff especially Cherry were outstanding. By the time we left we had made friends with so many staff members and guest. The only complain I had was that the property is a little outdated but I know it was under constructions so that should be a little better soon. Overall would def go back to this property.
This is a 3 star resort, it’s not super expensive, I’d say it’s rather affordable and you get what you’re paying for. The property is maintained well, some parts could use some renovations, some were renovated, some are being renovated at the moment (very very quietly). The rooms are cleaned and resupplied daily. The building itself is somewhat charming, very cozy, not grand and intimidating like some 5 star resorts in the area, and priced at a third of their rates. The food is good, drinks are good. We were full all day long for the entire 8 day stay. The private beach access is great, we actually had no idea how important that part is until we got to Jamaica. Public beaches are just dirty in Jamaica, so private beach is a must. Staff is excellent, everyone is nice, in clean, pressed uniforms, vey proper. The tour desk had many options for excursions, we did several of those, all of them were great. The only thing that bothered us was the noise from the street, we paid extra for an ocean view room and there was constant noise on the street between the resort and the beach. Local people come and hang out there late in the evening, some nights even past midnight, blasting music from huge speakers in their cars. From my understanding this happens around a lot of resorts in Jamaica, but 1 a.m. is definitely not acceptable. I can’t imagine this happening where we live, and we live in a beach town as well.
I really liked that with your stay a private beach option is available , there are separated area on the beach to fit any visitor type. when we arrived there was a steel pan band and choice of jerk pork or chicken , hamburger and fries by a very entertaining chef. They even have a security cross walker . I didnt expect all that was offered honestly, I could even appreciate the lemon grass body wash , shampoo and candle that welcomed us to the room .
Property had rats by hot tub and rude service and desk workers
Nothing remarkable nor distasteful to report
Courteous and friendly
Food options were limited. Photos on site dont match the property. Good time for what it's worth.
Seagarden resort was a wonderful surprise as we booked our stay there at the last minute due to flying to Jamaica earlier than we had planned so we quickly booked three days there ahead of our stay in Negril. The property is beautiful and kept up meticulously. It has a beautiful beach location that is private. They had excellent entertainment both at the beach and near the pool. By the way, the pool was large and clean. Our room was gigantic really the size of two rooms. There is shuffleboard and beautiful fountains. The food is typical Jamaican food. I would say that the food was probably the weakest part of our stay but don’t get me wrong. We were able to find plenty to eat that was satisfactory. The price was extremely reasonable and the property is only a mile or so from the airport overall, I would highly recommend.
Nice hotel
We picked this hotel became it was right across from the beach. The rooms are nice. Not a luxury resort like the high end but if you want a laid back stay this hotel is for you. We enjoyed the night entertainment poolside and the grill burgers in the afternoon at the beach grill. We celebrated my moms birthday and when i let the staff know, they sang to her and even had nice little cake for her. She loved it
During my recent stay at the resort, I encountered a series of challenges that I felt compelled to share. Firstly, my check-out time was set for 11 a.m., but I had to hang around the lobby until my ride arrived at 2 p.m. This three-hour wait without access to a room was quite inconvenient. Upon check-in, I was informed of a room upgrade, which I initially thought was a pleasant surprise. However, upon entering the upgraded room, I discovered that the window and terrace faced a noisy construction site that operated from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. This constant disturbance significantly impacted my ability to relax and enjoy my stay. Additionally, I had booked and paid for an excursion through the tour desk a day in advance. On the day of the excursion, I learned that the staff member had failed to confirm my booking. To make matters worse, this realization came 1.5 hours after the scheduled pickup time. When I approached management to seek a resolution, I was met with resistance regarding a refund for the excursion that I had never been able to enjoy. Despite my frustration, there was no follow-up or courtesy call from the staff during my two-day wait for a solution. Ultimately, my bank stepped in and successfully retrieved my funds. Before leaving, I finally had the opportunity to speak with management about my experience. I was given a verbal apology, and they extended my check-out time by an hour as a small gesture. Additionally, I received a complimentary bottle of rum and a t
This is my 2nd time staying at Seagarden beach resort and I as well as my kids love it. The staff are very nice, property and beach is clean.
I loved my stay at Sea Garden. Highly recommended
The landscaping is absolutely beautiful and well kept
The food was terrible. Same 3 meals each day for 5 days. The seafood restaurant that we had to pay extra for had 1 waitress and it was a good 30 mins between courses. The wine bar was open for service but not staffed.. which meant no service. The bar staff at the beach was extremely rude. There were 3 rats in the hot tub area (we have video). We had to ask 3 days in a row for a blanket for our bed ( only had a sheet). Positives: The beach was nice and clean. Our breakfast waiter, Clayton, was the best server I’ve ever encountered!
The property grounds are well kept and nicely laid out.
This hotel was a great stay. It was affordable and checked all the boxes for a relaxing anniversary vacation. Before heading to the property we were told that we could not make a reservation for the a la carte restaurants prior to checking in, we were a bit disheartened by this so we had faith that the spaces would not be filled before we got there. We were checked in by Claudia and it was a smooth process. She told us that we got a complimentary upgrade to a Garden/Pool View room. We were soo excited about this. We also informed her that it was our anniversary and without skipping a beat, she ensured that a reservation was done for the Italian restaurant. After checking in though, we were really hungry so we decided to grab something to eat from the Deli, unfortunately the Deli was closed before the slated time of 5:30 so we had to rush over to the Beach Grill for some refreshments. Our overall stay was quite good. Our room was beautifully decorated, we got a special cake at the buffet and great customer service all round. The food at the buffet and the Italian restaurant were chef's kiss. The servers in the buffet are also quite attentive to your needs. Room for improvement: The phone in the room was not working (Rm 1005) so please check on that. Also, we realize that between 5:30 and 7:00 no food is being served in the resort. Please tend to this because when persons check in sometimes they are very hungry so having at least a snack bar open would be good for them to ge
I didn't like the idea for 1 bottle of water for 2 guests
I wouldn’t stay their again because of poor food choices and unpleasant staff.
I disdn't like thst I didn't have any lights in the veranda area and the fixure for light was missing by my room 502
The property is old and requires an upgrade, to meet the customers away from home experience. Rooms should have basic necessities, hot water, phone, daily towels without having to ask. Enough beach card towels so not to ask for it on entry. The Deli on site was never open on time and never had what was on the menu. There was limited food, with selected people as I noted receiving different food choices apparently you had to request bacon??New years was not a great set up a long line for food, by the time I got to the food none was left. Considering its new years food should be available. Once again, people received selected seating and champagne to toast the new year. What about the guests? The resort is not my cup of tea and will most likely visit a different resort. Not to dampen the trip Jamaica is a beautiful island with lots of excursions to do at a price.
Staff was fantastic and helpful! Everything we needed was delivered!
Never again. This was my 2nd stay here and the issues were the same. Lesson learned!!!
Great place with a nice beach. Buffets were always good. Egg station guy was always busy lol
When we arrived, they put us in a room that was not what we had booked or paid for. When we brought this to the attention of the staff, it wasn't until we made threats of receiving a refund and moving to another resort (and Expedia calling them, and a day into the 6 days we booked) that they moved us to a room that was similar to our booking. They had overbooked the resort, and they used this as the reason for having difficulty moving us to a different room (like what we had paid for). The resort is dated and needs a lot of updates. They serve all their drinks in small plastic cups, similar to the places you visit on a cruise excursion. There were limited activities at the resort. If you don't do an excursion, you will be bored. The one highlight was the pool bar staff. They were personable and phenomenal.
The beach is nice and food is good. Our room was alright in the building we stayed no issues.
I really loved the staff! They were awesome and made my family’s stay great! The staff even check on us to see if we were getting out a touring the area and doing children friendly activities.
Beautiful private beach.
We arrived on the 28th of Decemeber, we were assigned a room that had no water for three days. We were not able to shower properly and barely enough water running to rinse a toothbrush. We asked to change rooms and were told they were sold out. We stayed at the room that wat for three days after complaining to front desk 4 times they finally sent a maintenance man to fix the water issue.
This could be a great resort with a few tweats. How food is serviced when outside the dining room was horrible. So more organization is needed with the food. The other problem was the beach towels, I was ready to give them back early when checking out and no one was available, again organization. Staff vwry friendly and helpful. The only reason I wouldn't stay here again is street noise which the resort has no control over
Awesome place, locally owned.my wife and i really had a blast and we will be back
We loved the customer service the food
The resort by itself is quite good. The staff are friendly. Options at the breakfast, lunch and dinner are excellent. They also have convenient small plates at the beach and pool bar. We enjoyed the lively beach and evening programs too. We had a lovely and spacious room overlooking the ocean. However, there is a road between the hotel and the ocean and the road is very noisy on holidays quite late into the night. There are loud music from the stalls set up on the road, loud cars and motor cycles making it very difficult to sleep. I wish they make the rooms bit more soundproof. Other than that, the resort is quite good.
More entertainment is needed
Check in time is at 3pm and I was not able to get my room until 4pm.
Staff nice. Room not so good. Food could be better
This is a resort OWNED BY JAMAICANS primarily FOR JAMAICANS. The buffet is Jamaican food. It is an authentic experience! If you want to eat pizza, go stay in a prison resort.
Authentic Jamaican food
Check in time is 3:00. We got there 1:30 pm and our room wasn't ready until 4:30 pm We were tired from our flight and wanted to use washroom, getvout of our traveling cloand just relax in our room for a bit which was quiet disappointing. We mentioned this to a staff and ask how they would compensate for this, she said she didn't have the authority to do anything. We told her to speak with someone who does so they know about our experience. Other than this our vacation was wonderful. Clayton- one of the buffet server was the best service we received throughout our vacation.
I had the best stay at this property! The room was spacious and clean with the added warm touch of a candle. All the staff were lovely and so so helpful. The tour desk was wonderful and assisted in booking a last minute catamaran cruise which was a blast! The beach is beautiful and pool area is very nice and clean. I hope to stay again soon on my next visit to gorgeous Jamaica
This property has potential but they did a terrible job. First they where supposed to set up my room for my sons birthday they did not do that. I spoke to the front desk and they said they would do it tomorrow I said okay. Tomorrow came and they did not do it. I said alright fine the buffet was the same food for the whole trip. My room had 3 adults and 1 child in it they gave me a king sized bed for all of us when we were supposed to get 2 queen sized beds. They apologized and I had to switch the room. I get to the second room there’s no water. Then I had to get another room. The room barely had water to shower with I had to use the sink in order to shower. The toilets downstairs by the dining area were broken. The front desk was not helpful. I asked for an iron the front desk said they would send it up 4 hours later there was no iron I asked the cleaning staff on the floor for an iron and she got me one. But this just goes to show that if I did not find her I would not get an iron. I checked out and I am still waiting on an iron from the front desk. Club was shut at 12, the games too closed at 10 it was too inconvenient. Like I said this place has potential but they need to do better in order to maintain it.
Staff was very friendly and very accommodating. Plenty of vegetarian options for us. This was my first time at an all inclusive resort in Jamaica and enjoyed every minute spent at Sea Garden.
The friendless of the staff and the food were well prepare
Friendly staff, tasty authentic Jamaican food, big spacious rooms. One draw back- limited lighting in hthe rooms.
Very poor management never get fix your problem if you have any like need towels water or anything need to fix in room never recommend anyone messed up vacation complaining at front desk
No good food
Customer service was poor
My experience at the hotel was excellent. The room was great. Ford was great stuff was great. Everything is excellent. I will return soon.
The staff was very friendly, check in/out was a breeze. I love the fact that food is available from 7am to 12 midnight. I love the all inclusive and the beach/pool area was lovely, the live proformances & games were a plus. My only problem was there are no elevators so going up to the 3rd floor was horrible especially because i have issues with my knees & there were cracks/strips on the walls in my bedroom so the room definitely needs an upgrade, the chair was also not the cleanest but overall it was worth the money.

I loved this hotel.
