Walking distance to main attractions and close to union station. Neighborhood felt very safe. Clean comfortable suite with great amenities! Would definitely stay here again.
Worst I’ve ever seen, the place I booked was not the same place or address that was given to us. The place was dirty, so much confusion, the people extremely unprofessional, holes in walls, locks not working, worst experience ever. Not safe! Hoping my refund comes through ASAP, I have photos to prove it.
Great apartment. Well decorated. Great view. Great location. Didn’t like the fact only one key fob.
The property was advertised to have 4 beds but when we arrived there were only 3. The representative said the beds were recently changed and that was the cause. They stated they would provided an air mattress to compensate for the missing bed but they never returned with the bed nor did they communicate any information to me. I tried to call them and was unable to reach them.
Perfect place to stay in downtown Toronto at a decent price . Very easy to communicate with the owner. Thanks a lot I will returns at this location for sure.
So-so.
Parking was in a completely different building from the condo. The condo was not very clean - garbage under the bed, hairs on the bathroom walls. One of the cabinets is damaged and has been “fixed” with rolled up painters tape (unsuccessfully). The place just looks worn down and uncared for. The bed was comfortable, though. Overall, I have stayed at much nicer condos downtown Toronto for less money. Would not stay here again.
There was no information on how to there, no information on how to check in and once we got inside, after trying to get in to the room for over 3 hours, our rooms beds weren’t made the sheets were dirty and towels were dirty and there was one, no plug for the bath and that was just the first things that annoyed me, also it would have been nice to know that we would have to got up two elevators and a lot of walking thought doors, be did it with all of our bags, if I can be honest thanks to this one place I am not never using Expedia again.
Location was great. Amenities were very good and customer service was excellent. Property could have have been a little cleaner.
The location is good. First, the address is not 55 Brenmer. The Host had not contacted me in advance to tell me where to go, or how to check in. As a result, the check in process took almost an hour. When we tried to park there was already a vehicle in the spot that we were told to use. When i called the Host to ask what we should do, he hung up on me. The apartment was filthy when we arrived. i vacuumed myself and cleaned the showers. The sheets had not been changed (one bed has a used tissue in it). The sheets do not properly fit the bed, so you'll end up sleeping on the bare mattress. Other things: The pool was closed for "maintenance" the whole weekend The dishwasher was broken Someone threw up (????) in the hallway and it sat for 24 hours Our bed was broken The "included toiletries" were giant bottles of shampoo and body wash used by god knows how many people Both lamps in the main bedroom were broken The carpet was stained, and i can't stress this enough, DIRTY All in all, very disappointing and very much not worth it.
Was satisfied
Booked through hotel.com. Didn’t get details tills after we checked in. We where to have 1 room and got another. At 4:00 room wasn’t ready. Thought we had access to pool and we didn’t. We did get access, thank god or they would of had 4 children very upset. The size and comfort of suit was great. We will book again but we need access to pool. Construction around building was a little confusing but we made it.
Arrived at check in time of 4pm. Went to our suite to get the key....walked in and the maids were there and the place was a disaster. Smelled of cigarette, vomit and rotting food...which was everywhere including on the tank of the toilet. What did me in was the hypodermic needle laying on the bed in one of the bedrooms where my son would have slept. I freaked and asked the maid to call the person in charge. He said give him 15 mins and within that time he showed up. These ladies had hours of cleaning in front of them. He was great and moved us immediately to a suite on a lower floor. The condo was okay....not the cleanest....think it had been awhile since the carpets were vacuumed and they were very stained. The amenities were fine and great internet speed. The FOB also did not work which made getting in and out of the building a bit of a challenge. This is our second experience renting a condo and I can say with confidence I am done and running back screaming to mainstream hotels with concierge.
Gaining access to the property was very difficult. I paid for parking which was only accessible by a key fob inside the apartment. You have to pay for parking, obtain the fob and then move your car. In my case the fob was not available/missing. After an hour back and forth on the phone, I was told to park at another location around the corner. I already had to pay for parking to go to the unit so this was not an option. I've been asking for a refund of parking for the last few weeks and its fell on deaf ears. The unit itself was fine, just the upfront communication is terrible.
Our stay was very nice. A little complicated with the parking but we were helped all the way through the process. The condo was clean and the views were incredible, and very close to a lot of attractions.
Don't rent anything from Sarkar Suites
First they send me to the wrong address TWICE IN A ROW. One of the times I had to disturb someone staying in a different building who is in the room allegedly reserved for me. When I am finally told the correct address (___ York), they refuse to send me the email confirming it so the front desk won't let me in without the email. The room had LOTS of problems: No soap in bathroom, no hangers in closet, dirty linens in closet, no duvet cover, dirty/stained toilet seat, dirty bathroom door, towel rack falling off the wall, chair at kitchen table falling apart, and NO WINDOW SHADES. Yup: despite being directly across from another high rise, there were No Window Shades. So there was no privacy in the unit. I sent messages to management about each problem and they never replied -- not even to get me some hangers or clean up the dirty linens in the closet. Then when I left, I put the key in the kitchen drawer like I was instructed. However they kept texting me later that day: "Where's the key???" I replied that key was in drawer, which is where they asked me to leave it. And what happened a couple hours later? They sent the same text again saying "Where's the key??" - as if they never read my prior reply or bothered to look in the drawer. I don't know why they charge a cleaning and maintenance fee for the place when they clearly do not clean or maintain it. This was the worst hotel in a long while
Wish thay had valued there customers and cumincated better and didn't waist our time Overall it was ok
LIKED that the property is in the perfect location for night life and sporting events (we went to Raptor game). It is a condo with an amazing view. The the living space is very homey and roomy. A secure home away from home for sure. DISLIKED how difficult it was to get checked in and the lack of communication. We booked same day and the front desk was not expecting us. After some delay we did get to our room, but had no clue as to how to work the TV with 3 remotes (finally figured that out) or what to do with the key when we left. We went to the desk in our tower but no one there, went back up to the 9th floor reception, but they were not allowed to take the key. Finally went back to 35th floor and left it on the kitchen counter. Also found out after we paid $60 to park, that the condos have their own spaces for $30! Not even the guy checking us in told us that.
It was awesome though they forgot to add toilet paper to the suite we went and got some in the store conveintly downstairs. Great location great experience hands down!
It was extremely close to the Scotiabank Center and within walking distance of many attractions.
Parking was difficult but Sam made that easy
Buyer beware
this is NOT a hotel or even a “Suite” This is an AirBnB with no ability to talk to anyone. This is in a large residential apartment building and zero signage about “Sarkar Suites”. No way to get in the building b/c you need a key fob. Only way to get fob is to sneak into building, call some sketchy number and then be told to hang up and look for a text message. Then you’re told by text to go to floor 27 and suite 2703 and open an unlock door and look for a key fob. This is unsettling process to the point I checked all closets to make sure no one was in the room. Room was relatively clean, location OK but really needs better disclosure on what this property is and a much cleaner check in process. Nothing about this is a “suites” or hotel. This is an AirBnB and should be disclosed as such and probably not on a website called Hotels.com
Suite and location were good. Room was quiet. Initial access and communication was a challenge for a first time stay. Directions need to be clear and consistent between sponsors and booking platform. Overall, a nice option for multiple guests over a hotel stay. Good value for a family or group of 4.
The location is absolutely wonderful. In walking distance to pretty much anything you wanted to do/see. Lots of great restaurants around as well. There were several issues with this property, however. No communication at check-in. Concierge desk not helpful or friendly, basically told me to speak with owner about everything when we first got there and didn't even try to assist. Finally found number to call owner, who sent instructions for room. Room was not at all like pictures shown. It was quite warm in the room, the thermostat not working. Called owner, said someone would come look at it. Ok. Looked around suite, the blinds are were missing slats, drapes in room barely covered window, there was a hole on the ceiling in the bathroom, screen door on patio was ripped, and when we turned on the TV, there was a Roku stick, but no way to watch live TV. We let it go the first night as we were tired from traveling and just wanted to sleep. The next day we went out, and came back to room, still quite warm. Called owner again, and told him we needed temperature adjusted, and inquired about live TV. He promised to send someone over, and did. The gentleman who came over was quite nice, but did not have a clue what to do. He called his boss (I guess the owner) two times. Finally, he told us he had to go to the office to "get the box" for the TV. That was on Wednesday. I checked out two days later and am still waiting for the box.
The property was beautiful and in an excellent location. Loved the view from the balcony!
The apartment stinks and is not clean, the mattress and the sofa smelly Poor service waited an hour outside the building to get a key. I would not recommend to my haters
The property is beautiful and well kept. My ”apartment” was so beautiful and so clean. I thought initially I was walking into a really modern hotel but no this was an actual condo! It was so spacious and so comfortable. There’s definitely communication issues with this property. When you walk in you have no idea where to go! You have to get on an elevator take it to the 9th floor. So random! And there’s no signage thankfully other people were going to check in because we were all confused. Then you get to the desk and the staff is extremely rude they also don’t have any information about your stay or your “room” but instead of saying hey call the number on your reservation they just say they don’t have info! So frustrating. Finally after standing there looking confused for over 10 mins he finally tells me to pull up my reservation and dials the number. I explain the situation and the person over the phone says he’s texting me instructions. Again weird. My key was in my room which was unlocked ok fine but when I got to the room I realized they left the wrong key in the room. I reached out trying to get the right key and I couldn’t get some one till the next day I had to leave my door unlocked with all of my stuff in the room. Communication was really a mess.
The property was beautiful. Instructions on how to proceed the day of check in would be more helpful. We received this info 1 hour prior to check in, but more detail earlier in time would be most helpful.
Place is a crap hole. Expedia listing is deceptive for many, many reasons. Got scammed for $120 + more for parking in their lot. Rental car was towed. Made a fraud report to Toronto Police Dept. There's more.
I received no instructions as to what suite number was or where to locate key or fob for suite, there was no access to building thankfully a lady let me in and directed me to the 9th floor consierge who where able after about an hour, to contact owner of suite, directed me to the 34th floor, door was to be open and fob on counter, neither happened, back to 9th floor and another half hour, was directed to 26th floor this time, door was open this time, ruined my visit, wasn't accessible, I have mobility scooter, only proof of my stay that consierge had was proof of payment, this isn't the first time this has happened with this owner, rooms were 3402 wrong one, then 2605, the blinds in suite didn't close properly, there was small washer and dryer in suite, dryer didn't work, had to hang clothes around suite over chairs etc. I will never book through this again, this was not worth the $305 that I paid for it, was listed as $191 plus tax didn't find out until I paid that there was an additional $80 fee tacked on
The drapes did not cover the windows. Did not have access to local tv stations.
Awesome location
Flew in for raptors game. Was directly across street from arena. Could not have been a better location. Owners very helpful! 5/5 but 2/3 elevators in building were out of order and with 50+ floors you wait for a long time. We took the stairs from the 33rd when leaving. Other than that tho it was great and we would stay again for sure when I’m Toronto.
Suite was dirty, carpet brutal had stains on it. Only had 2 face cloths and one hand towel for 3 people for 5 days. Bath mat filthy looked like an outdoor rug! Walls and doors gross with dirty hand prints all over. Toilet broken the tank took 15 mins to fill with water due to a broken part. Some blinds were missing on the living room window and the throw cushions on the couch were dirty. The bedroom window was broken and wouldn’t close. The patio/deck was disgusting dirt and spilled drinks all over. I asked for assistance on Wednesday to remedy a few things and a cleaner came on Friday brought more towels and cleaned the patio except the glass rail was still disgusting on the inside and she broke the lock on the door so we couldn’t the patio door after that leaving us unsecured. Mute point by then cuz we checkout Saturday morning. FYI the some detector still wrapped in plastic and hung up not sure how effective that will be. I was pretty disappointed in the suite itself and felt it could have been cleaned a lot better. The location was fabulous. Also my two sisters booked a suite for the same time frame thinking we would all be together in the same building and they were put in a different building 2 blocks away. Not a huge issue but hard on my 72 year old mother making the trek to see the grandkids for 4 days. The website didn’t really specify the suites could be in different buildings. Their suite was amazing and spotless and booked for the same company thru your site.
Check in was a bit clunky but that was more because I didn’t read the instructions. The address sent wasn’t the address where the property was. Place was clean, reasonably priced and large enough to house multiple couples. Great for an extended stay downtown unfortunately, I was only there 2 days and could not take advantage of the location and amenities.
Overall it is good.
This is my first time staying in a suite, not a hotel. It has a large fridge and some cooking utensils. AC is good. The view is also great. And the location is great. There is one thing that I think can be improved in the future. I am traveling from overseas. So I don't have a phone that I can call in Canda. Fortunately, I stayed in the US for a couple of years before and I still have my Google voice number. That's how I got touch with the staff before my travel. And when I arrived, I used the free WIFI from Le German to contact the staff. That's how I received messages from the staff regarding how to get in. If this is the way that the suites are operated, then it is better to tell the customers clearly in the booking sites. International travelers without a working Canada phone are not recommended to stay in this place.
Overall, the property was great. However, it could do with a little TLC - e.g., complete paint job, few plaster patches, bathroom towel bars replaced, etc.. The location is superb. For visitors who want to visit the downtown area, it's perfect. Union Station and Scotiabank Center are two minutes walk away. There is a great supermarket with deli, and an LCBO downstairs, so you don't even have to go outside for most anything you'd need!
Great location, had a decent view. There is places to shop with just an elevator ride downstairs.
The view from the room and the size of the suite was lovely. The cleanliness was fine. However, we found the bar stool seats were ripped to pieces, the walls had marks and needed painting, the ceiling in the bathroom was stained and looked gross. There was no bar soap for the shower or facecloths. We didn't know what our room # was or how to get the key; it was by luck that we stumbled onto the security floor so they called for us.
Proximity to Scotia Bank arena. Unit was clean and well equiped.
Positive Experience
We had a positive experience at this location. We were upgraded to a larger unit upon arrival. It is very clean and safe needing a key fob to enter the building and concierge service for assistance within the building. You book the condominium from the owner of the condo, not the building itself. The owner was very attentive to our needs (parking, etc.) and left us with contact information if needed during our stay. It is located right in Maple Leaf Square, walking distance to many restaurants, shopping, attractions, etc. We would stay here again.
Beautiful view and close to everything. Construction in the area was the only issuu, but obviously can't be helped. If anyone extra is staying, as in on the pull out couch, there was no extra bedding.
the owner of the property was great to deal with . the location can't be beat if you want to take in events in Toronto direct access to the path too many venues close by to mention .will definitely use him again to stay on our next trip and will recommend to my friends and colleagues
Perfect, great location
Wonderful Family Suite
This condo is in an awesome location. Close to Scotia Bank place, Ripley's Aquarium, Union Station, Rogers Centre and more. The main level of the building has a Longos grocery store and LCBO which is very convenient. The condo itself had two good size bedrooms with comfy queen size beds. The kitchen was well equipped and the living area was wonderful for our family of 4. So much better than your typical hotel room. The kids could go to sleep while we stayed up to watch TV. My only issue was with check in. I have stayed in other rental units in this building before and it was seamless. However, with Sarkar, it was very difficult to contact them. I was provided a messaging/chat platform through Hotels.com however Sakar did not respond. I even texted them as their check-in instructions suggested, but again no response. I was finally able to phone them, however the owner was very confused. He first sent us to the wrong building (they have multiple rental units around the city). They were helpful in letting us take our suitcase to the suite before check-in time, which we really appreciated. We were then told that someone would come to collect $80 cash as a cleaning fee, which we refused as our reservation through Hotels.com clearly stated that our stay was paid for in full. Overall, I would love to stay in this unit again. It was perfect for our family.
Great Location for attending Sports Event. Charged $80 cleaning fee at check in????? Slats from Blinds missing/broken in bedroom, could not block city lights. Difficult sleep.
The check-in was fast, the room (and view) were gorgeous, and we had a great time staying here. It was super convenient, right near Union Station, and I’d definitely rent again if I wanted to stay in the area in the future.
Great location and amazing view
Perfect location. Beautiful, clean place! Would stay here again.
Thé accommodation was very dirty and people not a tall friendly it's a shame because very good location!!
The condo was in a perfect location for our trip to Toronto to attend the theatre and the Royal Winter Fair. There is an excellent grocery store, an LCBO and Starbucks in the building complex and it’s easy walking distance to Union Station to catch the UP Express to the airport. The apartment had a super city view. On the downside, we expected to be met by a representative of Sarkar Suites, but were given building security codes to enter the building ourselves. We were three women and were provided only one key fob which was inconvenient. Although we were advised that another would be provided the next day, it never materialized and we had to coordinate our days by texting each other in order to access the condo. The apartment was comfortable, although a bit tired and there was an unpleasant surprise of a dirty sock and bandaid beside the couch. Yikes. It was well-stocked with cleaning supplies and having a washing machine and kitchen was convenient. A few snags, but a good place to stay overall.
This property is amazing. The view was fantastic. Everything was clean and modern. We reserved a 2 bedroom unit, and the pictures were close but do not come close to conveying what a commanding view this property has. We spent the first 15 minutes just taking pictures from our windows. The location was perfect with the stadium downstairs, and the CN Tower a very easy walk down the street. The great supermarket on the bottom floor had everything you could ask for, and we ate 2 meals there. Parking was convenient, but the price was higher than we were used to. The property erased any concern about prices in the are as it was such an great experience. I had a fantastic workout in the gym, and the pool and spa are also great. The beds were great. High speed internet, Netflix, kitchen, there is too much to list! Check in was easy after I received a text with instructions on my room number and key location. Looking back, this was the best check -in experience ever. If you want to feel like a king or queen when visiting the area, I would highly recommend The Sarkar Suites 2 Bedroom unit!
Location is in the middle of the financial district, perfect distance from the convention centre and union station. Lots of restaurants, drugstores and even a grocery store downstairs. It was harder figuring out the parking system, not a lot of staff within the building to help or assist us. Overall would recommend the place but wouldn't recommend parking within the building.

Amazing location
Great place in the perfect location
