This place should not be listed on any booking site. Only as air b & b’s. I picked this place because of the location and amenities, Ocean front with a stove and close to bars and restaurants. Unfortunately I was not able to check in at the location. This place is not a resort! No computer and no way to contact or locate your reservation. This information should be listed and noted by Expedia prior to my arrival,So I was stranded in Jamaica on my birthday, out of the country, with no where to stay. An Expedia representative did assist me, in finding a new location. I was so anxious I agreed to the first location. Which meant I didn’t get the stove, beach front, and location to certain restaurants that I had planned my trip around. Did I mention it was my birthday. Ok. I did contact sandcastle the day before to let them know my flight arrives at 5pm, so I wanted to know how to check in. He said, “as long as you’re here by 10pm, you should be fine.”I arrived around 9:40pm. And yes, the young lady at the desk left at 10pm. Which meant I had to go find somewhere else to stay. I ended up staying at Sago Palm, which was a really nice hotel. To this day, 1/28/25, I still haven’t heard anything from sandcastle 6 days after my check in date. I am doing everything in my power to remove this place as a resort location. This should be illegal, it’s definitely scam likely! I’m not saying your experience will be the same, just make sure you get an exact address before you head to Jamaica.
They over booked the place when I got there the receptionist ask for my name and after that she simply told me there’s no reservation for. I then called the booking number several time before I get a text saying “ I’m driving will contact the front desk” Approximately 47 minutes later I was then told by the front desk that my reservation has been moved to another hotel. When I drove over to the new hotel I was then told that there’s no rooms available except for one night stay at another hotel. I booked for Two night stay at a decent location and after an extensive wait time to be checked in I was offer 1 night stay at a location which didn’t seems safe in my opinion. I requested a refund on the 27th December 2024 and still haven’t been contacted by anyone
Our apartment was clean and nice 👌 fully equipped. I would definitely stay there again. I also liked how everything outside are in close proximity to the property.
Overall i enjoyed my experience but lighting of the rooms could be improved except for the bathroom.
There was no hot water in the unit. No water coming out of the hot water spigot. Mildew on walls in the unit. I was unable to shower and no staff on site up to noon time to fix the problem.
Sandcastles is in a great location and is a good property if you are looking for something outside of the typical marble resort. The security staff and gate staff were wonderful and personable. The unit we stayed in was awful (some are privately owned and rented, some are owned and rented by the resort. I don't know which one ours was). The kitchen was terrible, very little in the way of cookware and some of the dishes were cracked and broken. There were no glasses available , just plastic that had seen better days. Not even a sharp knife or pair of scissors available. The twin beds only had a sheet, I had to use one of our towels to cover my kids. This was extra annoying as we only got a couple of towels to begin with, which were never replaced because the room was never cleaned. We requested bath mats but they never came. This property has so much potential, it's too bad that our experience was in apartment D7.
No one knows what is going on. Check in was a nightmare. They didn’t have enough towels and wash clothes in the room.
I stayed at the property 11/24 - 27. I have not seen a housekeeper in those 4 days. I had to live with the garbage and dirty linnen. Thank G-d i was alone. The backdoor and windows were closed BUT NOT LOCKED! I didn't realize untill the next day that it was a sliding door. The apartment is on the ground floor. Anyone could have opened the door and window and enter the apartment while i was asleep on Friday night. That is unacceptable!
I stay at sandcastle in the pass and it was wonderful The property is too old and dirty, mold in bathroom ceiling and dirt by the window. I stayed in A6 , really needs upgrade and redo.

Everything was great, didn't like that my room didn't have a bigger couch or a sleeper couch
THE CHECK IN AND OUT PROCEDURE WAS AWFUL; THE ROOM WAS DIRTY,HARDLY ANY LIGHT IN THE ROOM, BULBS MISSING. ITEMS MISSINGFROM THE KICHEN THE WOMAN MANAGER AND FRONT DESK STAFF TELL LIES, THERE SHOU'LD BE IN PRISON. THE ROOM IS NOT FIT FOIR A DOG. TRAVELOCITY WI LL GET A BAD REVIEW BECAUSE OF THIS SO CALL HOTEL, VERY NASTY. THE WAS NOT EQUIPT AS ADVERTISED. THE JAMAICA GOVERNMENT SHOULD CLOSED DOWN THIS DIRTY PLACE. I AM TALKING TO MY LAWYER ABOUT REPORTINGF THE MANAGER AND STAFF TO LOCAL GLEANER NEWS PAPER. NO STANDBY GENERATOR, I HAD TOI CUT MY STAY SHORT, I LOST MONEY THE PLACE IS NO GOOD. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY TO ANYONE. TRAVELOCI TY SHOULD DROP THEM, BAD REVIEW REGARDS CANUTE SIMPSON
The property is convenient to shopping. Housekeeping was unimpressive

This place has gone downhill. Should've listened to the transportation driver who shared horror stories from other guests who stayed here.
They do not answer calls nor text messages. No housekeeping services at all. Mold on the bathroom ceiling and sink. Missing lightbulbs in every room. Front desk sends messages also withoutaresponse. I will never return.

Unable to get any assistance with any needs. Staff was not friendly Needed toilet paper and was told manager would send someone. No one ever came. We had to get t paper from our family member who was staying there. Unacceptable. They never removed dirty towels daily even though we were told they would. Staff not friendly

It was a nice quiet and great location property. The apartment had issues: The stove only had 1 of 4 burners that worked call for maintenance and the guy had no clue as to how to fix it and he never came back. There was a leak from under the wall to the next unit. The balcony was rusty and the doors were very worn and hard to close. Front desk service needs work, training or a means of ingo that connects with the online reservation portal. Expedia did not give me the owners name or apartment number when I booked. The property had to research an available unit for me. The cleaning representative that I had was very friendly and made sure I got items of linen and help for the unfixable stove.
