Beautiful property, great location!

Very nice, beautiful spot!

I stayed at end suite at the castle with a private pool, the ocean view was spectacular and the room was excellent, great steak restaurant !

overall, it was a nice place. Restaurants were decen, a little frustrating they were out of several items on the menu at Wok. One bright spot was our butler Alexander.. there was some construction going on during our stay. Cap Cana is a great place with excellent golf.

It,s just a public holding Mariott brand with lack of food drinks and service once you pay all inclusive. Only one beer available and that's on tap is Presidente. Buy Patron tequila as it's premium for them. No butter on toast before you're leaving to excursion at 7am. Employees at shore is dancing with young girls and they eat first in corner of bar. Only fry fish, chips, chicken and hamburger on bar. Jacuzzi gaucets are non working. Spoke to social manager Randy too, no outcome.

Sanctuary Cap Cana was amazing. Joan took great care of us in the castle and came and checked on us daily no matter where we were on the resort. The food was amazing, and the service all over was great. There was an abundance of food options, and we were able to find a spot wherever we went without issues of overcrowding. If you are going to Punta Cana, this is the place to stay. Only downside was the waterfall in the castle was being worked on and we had a minor issue with the water not getting very hot in our room, but I’d still give it a 5/5 rating even with those small issues.

Awesome! All of the staff was great and professional. The female at the disco was the only staff member who was not the best. She aggressively looked at me after I went to the DJ to write a song to play. Everybody else was excellent, and they all made our stay the best! Thank You!

Sanctuary exceeded my expectations. It is much nicer than the pics imo. The property was beautifully landscaped, interiors are gorgeous and clean, staff was great. The food was good— the Wok Asian restaurant was the best we ate at, surprisingly good food and the nicest ambiance. The buffet was our favorite breakfast and lunch option. Tons of options and all pretty well prepared. The staff were the friendliest here also. The grounds are full of great spots to sit and look at the ocean or the beautiful terraced property itself. Pools are great, and the beach is much better than it appears in these pics. It’s not huge but it’s big enough and the water is that beautiful Caribbean blue. I would highly recommend this place if you’re considering it

Loved it

The Sanctuary was the nicest resort I've ever stayed at. The resort was peaceful, however through the best New Year's Eve party ive ever been to it made me feel like a superstar.

We stay in a villa near the beach. The villa need a little touch up but was very convenient. And extremely clean . Our buttler Joan was a delightful person and very helpful making arrangements for us with reservations on different restaurant in last minute. Food is exquisite specialy the italian restaurant. The asian restaurant was beautiful but not very impressed with the foods. Our waiter was amazing. A little disappointed with our champagne . I order a tattinger rose . He was not chilled at the right temperature. We give the left over to the waiter. Great pools. And staffs very attentive. We will go back for sure.

The staff was wonderful, they were very courteous, helpful and professional. There were many great food options and endless drinks. The rooms were clean and the grounds were well kept. The only complaint was the pool and ocean were just a bit chilly.

Beautiful location & design Beach accommodations for beach lovers- not enough space and qty of beech chairs

This was one of the best properties I have been to. Great food, great staff, great rooms, great gym, great spa, great activities. I will definitely go back. They need a bit of work on the check in but minimal compared to the experience.

This was an excellent stay for vacation where I was able to spend quality down time to replenish and rejuvenate. The staff were incredibly nice and respectful. I would have liked to see a little more eating out options as I felt that it was limited with a certain number of restaurants as we were told that this was an All Inclusive restaurant. I did enjoy the performances, beach and service overall!

The property is beautiful and very well kept. The food wasn't spectacular but ok for an all inclusive. The staff was very nice but sometimes hard to communicate with. Our flight returning home was delayed 3 hours but they gave us the option of keeping our room - $40/hour or just hanging out and having access to all the facilities-which is what we did. We went on one excursion - that I arranged myself- and the surrounding areas seemed kind of sketchy.

I’ve been to four different resorts in Punta Cana and this is by far the best resort. Great staff. Food top tier. Room cleaning 3 times a day to make sure you don’t need anything. Clean and private beach. Definitely returning in the future

Service was superb!

The property itself is wonderful. The service also great. Rooms large. Overall very clean and well-maintained. The only issue was the food, which wasn’t so good.

Food was very good, staff were excellent (well trained, attentive). Not overcrowded, was quiet, clean, overall excellent vacation.

Food was disgusting. The towel system by the pool sucks and makes it impossible to get a chair because people claim too early. Food options were so limited and gave me food poisoning the last day.

This place is amazing!!!!!!!! Loved the Spanish elements of the structure and the decor. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The spa is just perfect, will definitely go back here. Massage therapist, Sofia was amazing and Stephanie also did a good job.

We had an amazing time. Service was top notch. The dining options were good as were the beverages offered.

PLEASE READ: DO NOT PICK THIS ALL-INCLUSIVE HOTEL 1. Check-in process was so confusing. One of the staff told us to sit at the lobby, we sat there for more than 30 mins just waiting and when we decided to approach one of the staff, they told us they forgot about us. 2. Room smelled like sewer. Not cleaned properly. 3. Very LIMITED choices for restaurants. Most of the restaurants are only open for dinner. Only 1 restaurant is open during lunch. A lot of restaurants there are not included with the all inclusive. So much for calling it all inclusive. Reservation process for their restaurant is so inconvenient. You can only do it in person 4. Very poor customer service, no amount of tip can motivate the staff there. Hotel staff act like they are doing you a favor just because they don’t see you paying a bill after the meal. 5. People who are supposed to clean the room don’t “clean” the room. Room is dirty. We tried marking the towels just so we can checked if they are replacing it and voila! They are just folding it. No amount of tips will make them feel like they should do their job properly. 6. No servers around the beach area, you always have to walk to the bar. 7. Glasses are dirty. Drinks are poorly made. No bottled beers. Sometimes i feel like their beer doesn’t even have alcohol in them. 8. Same food at the beach bar/resto. They don’t ever switch it. At one point, they serve me raw fish skewers. 9. Soda’s are at room temp. You need to get ice.

Beautiful resort but was very disappointed in the food… if the food was as good as the resort it would be 5 stars all the way!

The property is nice and clean but not enough entertainment and food quality and choice is overrated. One of the restaurants was closed for renovation, but nobody notified us about it. So out of 5 restaurants basically it was only 2 options, plus Stake House is closed on Fridays.

There was excellent, good and bad. Ill start with the excellent The resort itself is very clean which is a huge plus. The seaweed was also delt with expertly. Good. The food was serviceable. We had the steakhouse twice which was good, the italian place twice it was the best resturant with the most options in my opinion, blue marlin once was for dinner was also good. The pizza place was the highlight! The room we were in was in the non updated section we also had friends in the vastle section and another couple in the updated section so i saw them all. Our room was large and clean. The shower had low pressure but there was always hot water. Pool areas were well kept up. Pool bar was nice and they were quick. Beach bar was nice. The biggest downsides forthis trip were 1. We were forgotten about at check in. We sat where we were told to for 45 mins prior to us going to ask what was going on. There was no welcome drink really it was a mess so not a great start. 2. I bought several bottles of wine in addtiin to the all inclusive. This process was quite slow. It was not streamlined at all and took sometimes upwards of 30 mins to figure out what to do where to go ect. In my opinion if soneone wants to spend additional money at an all inclusive resort it should happen quickly. 3. There were several days where there were no pool towels. Then we got the they will be here in 10mins.....it was more like 2 hours. Just be honest about the timing.

Beautiful property, quiet and well kept. The staff are all very nice. Food selection could have been expanded for the size of the property, limited options for breakfast and lunch. Food quality average what you expect for such a large all inclusive property.

This is a beautiful resort with friendly staff. We will definitely be returning. The reason for 4 stars is each night it seemed like alot of restaurants were closed. One of the nights, out of the 5 restaurants - 4 of them were closed or fully booked. That kind of sucked.

What I loved most was the staff and service!!! Not a party resort by any means but it’s a relaxing time with fun activities and so many cool spaces form pools to beaches.

This resort is absolutely beautiful with great amenities but the best part is the staff. They are so pleasant and want to make you time there pleasurable. We could not have asked for better service. This was the best we have ever had.

I have been in many other all-inclusive properties and this one was lacking entertainment. Much needed around the pool and at night. Other than that, wonderful resort. Staff is EXCELLENT.

This property is spectacular. The only thing I was unhappy about is their beach was a small man made beach and I didn’t think it was what we’d expect. You couldn’t see through the water so I never saw anyone enjoying it. Everything else exceeded our expectations. Food, drink quality was amazing.

Tuvimos la mejor estadía! Celebramos mi cumpleaños a todo lujo. Las instalaciones eran maravillosas, la decoración increíble, la comida y bebidas de buena calidad. Todos los empleados eran muy eficientes y amigables- destacando a Alexis en Casa Bella, Alexis en el destination bar, Olga en el Coffee Shop, Yaniris en Casa Bella, El Gato en la playa, entre otros como nuestro amistoso maletero, las chicas del gift shop y la que nos refrescaba la habitación que no recordamos el nombre pero que nos hicieron la estadía mucho más especial. La única cosa que podría ser mejor (personalmente) sería la condición y tamaño del area de la playa que no le hizo justicia a la belleza natural de Punta Cana. Estaba llena de algas, rocas y una separación que no me hizo sentir completamente en el paraíso en donde estábamos. Apartando eso, es totalmente recomendable por su precio! Con su buena vibra y buen servicio, nos hicieron sentir súper cómodas y apreciadas. Gracias por todo!

Beautiful property, views, pools, amenities all fantastic! The language barrier is difficult at times, but the staff is kind and accomodating and willing to help with every need you have. We will definitely stay here again!

Sanctuary Cap Cana was beyond our expectations. From the moment we got there to the moment we won’t ready to leave. All the staff we interacted with was respectful, polite and accommodating just to state a few. We are horrible with names but happy boy stood out, Elvi and others at the pool area. All our servers, dance instructor and yoga instructor were all amazing. Our butler Angel’s efforts and dedication to our needs was the perfect compliment to our week of royalty staying in our castle on the beach. He was very helpful in solving problems, getting us reservations, attending to our special requests and in being there with his golf cart when we most needed a quick ride. I highly recommend Angel and Sanctuary in general. The staff overall was also very polite, attentive and above all friendly and helpful. We hope to return.

We were very happy in that hotel, every area was amazing, italian resturant amazing, pools lovely, ctivity at night are a little boring for us every worker amazing, special thank you to Jose, Sandino working at the pool area, spacial thanks at the restaurants area to Felix, Bladimir, Willian, Luis, Francisco and everyone, They should increase Activity at night, very recommendable

Amazing Resort!!! We would definitely come back

The Sanctuary is exactly that! A getaway that is secluded, relaxing, and you have everything you need. The staff is amazing and the property is beautiful! We will be back next year, and my fiancée and I are already counting down the days! Cheers to The Sanctuary, The Staff, especially Happy Boy which makes this place so special.

The hotel experience was outstanding until check out day. Left the room for less than 5 min to check out and came back to the room to pick up my jewelry box which was left in the bathroom and everything was gone by the time we came back to get the box, also had some shampoos left and housekeeping already had the shampoos set aside in a bag for them but the jewelry box which was with the shampoo was gone, no one was able to help us and they simply said there wasn’t anything left in the room. I will be filling a dispute

Awesome for couples

The hotel is beautiful and super comfortable the staff is super friendly and very professional, especially the butler Carlos, the housekeeper Nancy and the waiter Quirilio, made our stay unforgettable. The food in the restaurants is exquisite and the service in general.

My girlfriend and I went during end of September until the beginning of October(5days). The resort is absolutely beautiful as well as the hotel room we stayed in. The place is kept up so well and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful. The pools are great and the beach is beautiful. The food was also very good. We are not difficult people when it comes to food so if you’re a good snob, opinions will obviously are but we were very pleased about the food and really enjoyed it. This was a very quiet, adults only, resort and there were not many people there overall. If you’re looking for a quiet and romantic place, I highly recommend it. We just thought it was the best resort we’ve been to and we take two trips a year for the past several years. We did an excursion to Catalina island which was beautiful but the excursion company which we booked through Talixo was very unorganized and was a bit annoying that a trip that should have been about 75 mins to get to the boat took over three hours. A lot of sitting in a bus and going nowhere for a while. We waited for another bus. That coordinating could be way better. Extremely happy overall with everything about the resort though. Amazing time and experience and would definitely go back!!

Very good staff food was excellent had a really bad paint smell one night and was awakened at 2:30 am by the smell to find out they were painting and a row of rooms beside us had the same issue i woke up with burning eyes and wife had a bad headache. Returned to our room one day to find the privacy sign on our door and both our room keys would not work then when they came down and let use in I found a balcony door unlocked but nothing was touched still a little unnerving to think someone that wasn’t supposed to be in our room was there as they told us that security cameras did see anyone

The property is quite small and also older construction. The building I stayed in (believe it was Building 2 or 3) had a mildew smell in the hallways. The elevator was also very small and also looked older/weathered. When I got to my room, I noticed the AC was not cold enough for the outside temperature. It did not go past 22C/72F. The bathroom vanity light also did not work on one side. Finally, the bed was dirty when I arrived; I found a black pair of underwear tucked behind the mattress into the space between the headboard. The throw blanket was also visibly filthy. I called twice to complain about this but nothing was done. The restaurants are decent although I found the buffet food decent at best; everything lacked flavor. The restaurant over the beach had great Dominican food however. Drinks were also either veryyyy sweet or the rum tasted watered down. Staff was very kind and accommodating, so complaints with them.

Just the best from beginning to end. The service was impeccable. Food was ok to good. All the stands and shops are very nice.

This resort is absolutely stunning and such a great place for our honeymoon! The food was great (there were plenty of food options on site), all of the staff will go the extra mile to ensure that you feel comfortable and welcomed. Check-in process was easy and fairly quick, only negative was that we did not get the room we had initially booked. Pool staff provided amazing service including, setting up your spot for when you come to lounge by the pool or beach, making sure you have plenty of shade, and always have a drink so sip on! A few employees that I can remember that were extremely friendly and personal with us and always checking in on us were Jose and Oscar. As well as our favorite bartender Domingo! Highly recommended for your first stay in Punta Cana I can’t say enough great things about this property.

I loved it

The resort itself was beautiful. The room was spacious and very nice, staff were very friendly and accommodating, service was on point. Lastly, the food was delicious. 5 Star rating all around the board!!!

Un hotel muy bonito y el staff muy atento y servicial en todo momento lo que no me gustó es las opciones para cenar tienen un italiano que tienes que reservar pero la comida no es la mejor el de carnes muy bueno no tienes que reservar pero tienes que esperar por qué se llena el del bufet no es todo el tiempo y los otros comida como pizza algunos están cerrados creo que tienen mucha área de oportunidad en esa área hay hoteles más económicos con mejores opciones para comer también el área del las tiendas tuve que comprar unas aleve para el dolor y me cobraron 24 dólares por un paquete que cuesta 8 dólares 😂 y por unos tampones de 3 dólares 24 dólares eso es Ana falta de respeto al bolsillo no te puedes aprovechar así de los turistas

Very courteous staff, excellent dining and a desire to improve resort every time I visit.

Overall very nice location. Staff was very attentive and courteous. Some spaces were not available to guests due to maintenance or repairs.

We had the most amazing stay in the Castle. Our butler did such a fantastic job keeping us stocked and well. The castle views our exquisitely breath taking from the 3rd floor pool overlooking the ocean, enjoying a delicious drink! Highly Recommend the Castle and Carlos the butler.

Excellent Hotel!

My stay was excellent! I couldn't have asked for a better hotel. The staff from Alex, to the Sommelier, and others were truly phenomenal in treatment of me. The hotel decor was excellent, and my stay was very relaxing. I enjoyed myself very much.

A piece of paradise, warm and welcoming customer service, great staff

Came here with my partner for my birthday trip and had a nice time. The resort itself is very nice and the views from the room are beautiful. Service was good, but Alexis the bartender near the beach, was Amazing! There wasn’t a big variety of food to choose from and you only have 1 place for breakfast, outside of ordering room service. The restaurants in the sanctuary town open at 6 but the sushi spot and pizza were very good. I was underwhelmed with the variety of food. The beach is not the best. From the room the room the water looks immaculate but the beach area for guest to swim is very murky. It almost looked like lake water and there were lots of rocks. The pools are very nice and the castle pool is beautiful and a little more private. Our room was great and had a steps were you could walk out onto the sand, but the area was full of seaweed and some trash that could be cleaned a little. All in all we enjoyed our stay. With a better variety of food and better beach, I’d be back.

Beautiful Property, Beautiful views, room and incredible staff. This all inclusive is very luxurious, clean, we had an amazing time. I recommended this experience to everybody, you have all you need inside, entertainment is great and the people are so incredibly nice and attentive. Pools are great, you have access to the beach. I will say the beach is a bit murky but didn't stop us from having a great time, food is better than most of all inclusives even though I still think there could be improvement in the quality. All in all we had an amazing experience, sad to leave but will definitely come back for more !!

Amaizing hotel

I booked this resort for my husband's 40th birthday and it was exceptional. Our butler Frank was very attentive he made our dining reservations and arrangedfor pick up. Housekeeping was in cleaning and restocking every time we left out of the room. They have several options for eating all ranging from elegant dining to pizza. The property is clean and the staff is extraordinary. We most definitely will be returning to stay longer.
