It is a very relax, quiet environment.

Very beautiful property in a great location. You can find a lots of good restaurants near by. The beach is calm and clean. Very nice, polite and helpful staffs. We really enjoyed our stay in Saigon Phu Quoc resort. Definitely we will come back. Highly recommend this hotel.

The private beach was lovely, though the room felt a bit dated and could use some updates. Overall, it was a satisfactory stay.

Hope they stay the same, have been in this area before and love it. Great staff, food and amenities… the ocean and the pool were pretty great as well…😎

This hotel was very nice a beachfront and close to lots of restaurants and stores. Here comes the problem that was handled very badly. When I checked in the front desk lady showed me a paper and was writing checking in time checking out and the price. She said checking out at 2 pm and I was like really that different than other countries, and the front desk lady agreed to with me. We laughed and talked everything is good right. No checking out time we are already packed up by 12pm so we decided to go for a swim for 30 min thank take a quick shower and leave by 1:30pm. The guy showed up at the beach screaming at us telling us to leave the room and just saying a lot in his own language. So we rushed out at about 12:30pm and he was just fallowing us and yelling really loudly and then everyone was looking at us. In the end we went to the counter and told her that lady said 2 pm and it is not our fault. I told her to bring out the paper for our check ing and she sow what I said was true. Guess what they did after finding out it’s their mistake. They made me pay more money to them.

Great location and amazing beach.

Great beach. Great location. Breakfast is all right, you have a bit of everything. A bit more maintenance would be required to improve the rating but the beach location compensate for it. The bungalow was great. The area where to have a drink next to the restaurant and the pool are below average and need some fixing.

Great central location on the beach

Really good hotel, staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast buffet was excellent, fresh, lots of options and always full. The rooms were well maintained and spotless, the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and the baths on the balcony overlooking the sea were amazing. The free airport shuttle was excellent and comfortable. The pool is huge and kept as spotlessly as the rooms... Loved this hotel, close to everything, as in walking distance to main attractions. A great stay!

Love

Place is old and tired and not exactly like the photos. Stayed 8 years ago and the place was fine. A lot of work being done (demolition) of buildings etc and the beach has eroded considerably. This place is a long way behind the newer bigger hotels springing up on the island and I’m afraid they are up against it in area where there seems to be more deserted resorts than active ones

We forgot the special big size shampoo and conditioner ( special treatment) in the bathroom and the next day we ask the driver come back to ask the staff at front desk but they did not ask the housekeeping yet and help us to find them out, she just said there are nothing in the bathroom….that’s so weird!!! BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU STAY HERE, MAKE SURE YOUR STUFFS BEFORE YOU LEAVE!!!

Lovely resort. Stayed at Beachfront Villa which wAs excellent. Resort is well located. Nice pool. Unfortunately the beach in front has a tiny strip of sand and dirty with plastic rubbish.

Not currently recommended August 2023

Renovation due to start Sept 2023. Currently very tired. Reception area pulled down photos in website not reality. Have stayed here before and can't currently recommend, however, staff were excellent. Very few people staying at the moment. We were not warned of reception area being removed which also houses the breakfast area. Breakfast much more limited. Having said that the pho and omelettes were great. We were charged full price and they're much better close by hotels that cost a lot less that also have beach - ours was washed away. Unable to add photos for some reason.

Wonderful beach-front hut

The beach-front hut was amazing; sitting on the deck watching the sunset, listening to the sound of the surf, walking distance to restaurants and night market, comfortable room and bed, we enjoyed every moment. The downside was buffet breakfast; plenty of it but not the quality, with cold food not refrigerated and sitting in the hot weather. The premises and grounds are also starting to look tired and in need of work/upkeep. None-the-less, we enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again in the beach-front hut.

We are very pleased with the stay and that was our best part of our multi cities vacation tour. The resort staff are very helpful. The pool is excellent, large enough and very cleaned. The breakfast buffet is good. Our beach front cottage is the best we ever had in all our vacations. It is right on the beach and so romantic. Its location is perfect for us since we can walk to town and and have interaction with my people. We did have a problem with the air conditioner but the hotel technician fixed it right away and it worked good. As a person in this AC business, some of the AC condensers need to be replaced soon; At least they should check them before the guests move in. This little thing may cause bad impression. I love waking early and help cleaning beach debris. I hope this is a constructive comment since we love this hotel, the berach and hope it is doing well in this economy. We recommend this hotel without reservation.

The whole resort area is good, the service around the resort is very good, except the front deck lady, their comstomer service is very poor.i won't 6going back . com

Beach front bungalow was ideal for sunbathing, reading and looking out at the beach and sea. Breakfast was good. Beach cleaned by staff several times a &day. Lovely swimming pool.

Amazing and Affordable Resort

This resort is amazing! The location is perfect - within walking distance of the night market as well as other delicious restaurants. The free breakfast was a nice option, and the pool and beach access were perfect. No complaints on our end!

The only thing is we got bitten by mosquitoes.

Service at the restaurant was not satisfactory.

The hotel is very old, and it did not maintenance well. It is smelling molding everywhere. Blanket, bed, floor, furniture is old and smelling mold. Alot mosquito in the room. Swimming pool is broken. Very poor breakfast buffet, few selections. Does not cook well.

The breakfast buffet selection was very good. Private beach entrance from the VIP villa, the rooms were very nice and clean. The private outdoor bathtub was not clean however which is a shame. Service was good otherwise, I would stay here again.

Great position near resturants etc. Could do with a coat of paint.

The property location is gorgeous -but it is not worth the price.. the gym is a throw together of old equipment and was dirty, the bikes were all rusted and the chain broke on one of our rides..the gentleman working with the bikes just laughed..they know the bikes are old and don’t care. The food was not good, very bland- but there were many options for breakfast..The room we booked had everything we needed but in dire need of updating.

Property is very old and dated. Old room and furniture. The gym is a total joke. While the maids are nice, the front desk receptionists need to be retrained at customer service. The breakfast buffer is plentiful and tasteless.

Great place to stay staff were helpful and friendly I got their free airport shuttle to the hotel, it took about two minutes To register and I was even given an upgrade to a bigger room Breakfast was good with a good selection pool was OK but they decided to repair it the last week I was there but as the beach is about 25 meters from the pool this was not a problem, there’s a good chance I’ll be back again next year

We have stay the hotel for 4 day 3 night The room bed sheetz we found have the blood stain, and bed bugs We request to change room but hotel staff are are not allowed. The just replace a fresh bed sheet. We have suffer sleep for 3 night, the bed bug are a lot on the bed and it becomes more serious when we wake up. The hotel staff are not even take action. It's feel disappointed!!!!!!

bad service

Odd hotel, they took our passports and kept them till we checked out - the only hotel in the whole Vietnam where we stayed. They seem to have had a bad experience with prior visitors, so we were kept asked by the staff if we really staying in the hotel multiple times and had to show them our room keys; the beach near had garbage on the sand and in the ocean. When we checked out - they claimed we stole a spoon - for what I am not even sure, I can ship them 1000s of those for free from Amazon

Where pool meets beach.

Had a nice time at the hotel. Good size room and comfortable bed. Bathroom is a bit dated but worked well. Staff were nice and the gardens around our rooms were beautiful. Had a few short electricity blackouts while we were there but they didn't last very long. Only complaint was the pool tep is very warm so it was a bit hard to cool off. Poor me :)

you still have room to improve your Services

Firstly, I wasn't treated with kindness up in check in. Few front desk staff weren't friendly and didn't try to understand when I said my friend wouldn't stay with me but she would go stay with her family. I didn't get any welcome drinks when the weather was so hot. When I asked about the welcome drink after I settled down, a girl told me they've cleared out all welcome drinks. Well, couldn't you offer other drink then at your cafe since it won't be hard to make any drinks? I received welcome drink from the other two hotels I moved in to later. Second, the door of my room couldn't be closed so they sent someone to fix it and they asked me to step out so I took the time for lunch and got back to kayaking. The life guards and staff at the beach were helpful and friendly. When I returned to my room,I realized the air con wasn't cold but the house keeper and a maintenance guy insisted the air con wasn't having problem while they were all sweating in front of my eyes. Again,I was asked to leave the room. Customer paid for the room, the hotel staff should automatically upgrade me to better room if my room has so many problems without me asking. They eventually upgraded my room. Lastly, if without free airport transfer, kayaking and bicycle. I'd be upset staying here but good thing they've some activities for free. Breakfast option isn't a lot but the view and coffee is good Ps:a girl at the front desk who changed my room was friendly and helpful,guarded me to cross the road

Location was great. Close to town and an awesome beach. Wifi was strong. Breakfast is high quality and lots of selection.

Pleasant and hastleless beach stay

I have nothing to say against the hotel. We spent great 3 night. We booked VIP villa and got most probably the best one - frontal sea view, distanced from the restaurant, with direct access to the beach. Great view to enjoy the sunset on the private terrace with a drink or two. The breakfast is good. For some reason in none of the hotels we've stayed in Vietnam there are no spring rolls on breakfast. They offer a dinner BBQ buffet for a reasonable price but we wanted to see the Night market and try the local street food. The beach looks private and towels provided. The resort is short walk from the centre with the main attractions.

Very nice resort close to everything, private beach and very clean compared to ‘’ Bai Sao’’ or South Beach. For the 1st time in Phu Quoc , choose this one to explore and to be safe. You won’t regret it. Eat outside of the resort, it is cheaper.

as some reviewers have mentioned - the hotel is ever so slightly tired around the edges - but really don't let that put you off. I thought it was great value for money and had a really nice stretch of beach and a good pool area. Staff are friendly and helpful and I would happily recommend

Very friendly staff at this hotel on a beautiful beach. The hotel is spread out over 10 acres with garden area between the bungalow buildings . This location is perfect with many restaurants and bars on the street in front. It is a 10 minute walk downtown to the night market with many restaurants and food vendors. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice property with bungalow style rooms. Fronts to a nice beach. The pool is beautiful with a nice little bar. The breakfast is very good. Eat on the veranda for a beautiful view.

Nice but noisy!

Nice. Only 3 complaints... there was a group having a beach party at 3 am being really loud my first night and lots of noise during the day as the hotel is being renovated! Didn’t know that prior to booking and the “private beach” swimming area had a lot of trash floating in it!

It was exotic and fantastic experience in life time staying Saigon Phu qouc resort. Location is very convenient to acess the airport, city, restaurants and amusement park. It has nice scenery front of seashore. Kind staffs serve nicely. Blackfirst buffet is quite good. All is far beyond better than expectations.

Spacious and cleaned room , love swimming pool. my flight depart late in the evening. they offer the guest room to relax before taking me out to the airport I am enjoyed 4day and 3 night stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel in a good location

The hotel was really nice and the breakfast was really good with lots of choices. It is in a great location - within walking distance to the night market, town center and bars. The sunset views were really nice, the pool and garden areas were lovely with hammocks and swings. I would recommend this hotel.

The staff is incredible. We had a medical emergency and a staff member took us to a clinic and then to the hospital and stayed with us the entire time. The food was very good and we never got tired of eating at the hotel. The beach was not the greatest but comfortable and relaxing. The sunsets are beautiful. All and all an enjoyable time.

Our reservation was made in error through Expedia- the website glitched & the wrong reservation was made. The hotel would not refund the money & expedia did nothing to fix the problem. The photos on the hotels website & every website that hosts this resort show a beautiful sandy beach with waves & beach loungers. The actual beach contains some sand being held up by old hard sandbags & a cement walkway. When we asked the front desk about it, we were told "sorry, the beach washed away years ago." The prices of meals & drinks were outrageous- 2.5 times as much as the stores around it. The mixed drinks were not very good either. The BBQ buffet was nothing to write home about. None of the meat had any seasoning on it. Their laundry service was ridiculously expensive. The rooms are extremely outdated. All lights work from a huge old metal box on one side of the bed. There was only 1 set of outlets to charge items, which we had to unplug the lamp in order to charge things. The pool & beach boys were scarce to be seen. They set out & took up the cushions for the chairs, but we had to move our own chairs & umbrellas to sit together. We had to move sand around or find bricks to prop the chair legs with to try get the loungers flatter since the "beach" was at an angle. If you did not prop the legs of the chairs, you would slide out of your chair within half an hour of sitting. The drain in the shower backed up multiple times after soft or hard rains.

Great Hotel. Will stay again!

I had a great time here. We stayed in a two-bedroom bungalow with a king bed in each room. The rooms were equipped with coffee, tea, mini fridge, complimentary daily water bottles and fruit. The view was amazing, as all the balconies were facing the ocean. Some better than others. Staff was great and responsive. They speak English but it was a bit hard to understand at times. The hotel is right off the beach. Keep in mind the beach is not the prettiest in Phu Quoc. Water is murky but swimmable. Life vests, canoes and beach towels were readily available free of charge near the beach, which was very convenient. There's also a beautiful pool on the property that not many visitors use so it's a great place to get away from the crowds. Free bike rentals are available so I would recommend hoping on a tandem bike and bike to the nearby Night Market. Book trips at the concierge desk at the front. We did a private boat ride to the different island with two guides. They took us snorkeling, string-fishing and swimming at various spots. It was amazing! The complimentary full-service breakfast was the best! Everything was delicious and I loved that they had both Vietnamese and Western cuisines. My only minor complaints are that their bacon was not crispy and hot water runs out quickly in the shower =). I'll be back

We are a family of three including a 2 year old and staying 3 week day starting Sunday night. Pro: Staffs-excellent excellent staffs (not so much for transportation which is average). Everyone smile and do their best for you. Location- close to town - we would have borrow their free bike and go see the town if we didn't have our baby with us. The room are right on the beach. Room- comfortable room and all utilities work as expected- somehow that's a rare thing in vn for us.. Con: - Beach are not as sandy as we would like, steep. - Breakfast is boring and the same (97%) everyday. By the third day I just grabbed and some fruit for breakfast. Bacons was bland and not one bit crispy. Kids friendliness- kids toy area is old and dirty with a bunch of broken and faded plastic toy. Out door stuffs is a little bit better, but still exposed metal everywhere. It does not have the safety standards we are use to for a four stars hotel. Overall-- would definitely stay again.

Great hotel/resort . Very good services. Very good view from room.

The resort is nice, location isn't too far from the city central, good service; free airport pickup is a plus, the beach view is great. The breakfast is good. The price is acceptable. Cons: the kids playground has a lot of ants and insects, the beach water has some trash. No elevator. The hotel kept the guests's passports which made us feel uncomfortable.

Book this resort!!

We did alot of research and d this was the right choice!! Other Europeans and American there it was close to scooter rentals across the street and a grocery store for food and beers, pool was great and close to the night market and the downtown area walking was about 10 minutes. Will definately go back staff was awesome and son friendly. Free airport shuttle, abd free breakfast that was great everyday. Free kayak they had tandoms and singles that we in excellent shape, great sunsets from te resort, and dent snorkeling right out front. Yiu can walk to the other on Tue beach bars within a few steps to about 20 minutes in the sand walking. Go across the street to get a scooter for about 6 us dollars a day and beers for about 45 cents instead of 3 bucks at the resort. Also the reo food at the night buffet not a always super great and they add VAT and tip so it adds up. Across the street directly I would recommend 12 bucks got us 4 beers and 2 fresh cooked meals.

The driver who took us to see Phu Quoc sites was amazing. The front desk and restaurant staff were wonderful too. However, the spa was very unpleasant. In regard to directions (go shower now was a push toward a room which had showers, saunas, etc.). The next step was very unclear. Then there was a demand for a tip. I always tip at least 20% and usually more depending on the service. The exchange left such a bad taste that neither I nor four other friends went back for more services, which we all clearly had on our agenda.

Friendly hotel set in a beach side palm grove

We stayed as a family of four in a two-bedroom suite. We had mixed up our airport shuttle request and the hotel made sure we were collected when we arrived late in the evening. The reception staff spoke good English and all of the staff were helpful from arrival and throughout. All rooms are one minute from the beach and most have a sea view. The grounds and sandy beach itself are very clean and you can use sea kayaks for free in the swimming area. Tennis courts are available for use free of charge before 4.00PM and there is a gym and billiards room as well. For our 9 and 7 year-olds there was enough to do to keep them occupied for 10 days. the concierge was helpful in arranging a couple of boat trips and the staff had put a lot of effort into the Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve dinners which we really enjoyed. If you want a change from the hotels food then there are plenty of restaurants on the road in front of the hotel. We would stay at the Saigon Phu Quoc Resort again.

Beachfront resort with clean beach. Really comfortable and big bed. Everything was good but breakfast was the same for the 4 days i went. I was disappointed with the hotel guests reserving the beach chairs using towels and books. We saw 2 empty chairs with towels and proceed to lie on it. 2 hours later, someone return and claim that the chairs belong to them - pointing to the toys on the ground. Lets stop this kind of inconsiderate behavior guys.

Relaxing all inclusive resort

Hotel walking distance to town. Best part of resort was all inclusive. Kayaks included, table tennis, tennis, bicycles etc. No need to worry about paying extra. Great resort for relaxing. Lots of chairs and umbrellas on the brach. Reasonable snorkling at northern end of resort near rocks. Lots of fish as wepl as coral and lota of crabs. Buffet breakfast also had good selection of western and vietnamese. Banh Mi was good.

Unbelievable

This hotel won't give you any extra bath tower by its mean you have to keep your provided bath tower for pool, beach and shower needed in your whole day activities. Location is far away from the market and all the restaurants. I won't recommend to stay in this hotel at all.

Comfortable, well positioned resort

Got upgraded to a bungalow with its own deck & sunlpungers at the far end by the tennis court which was great, quiet and private even with the main road behind. Gardens are really nice and beach is outstanding, although they are constantly picking up rubbish, there is still a lot floating around in the water so you're never sure if it's a jellyfish or a plastic bag. Pool is lovely too though. Nice breakfasts and excellent housekeeping. Front line staff ok. Short walk into town, night markets are interesting and the resort has bikes which we used a lot too as a cruiisy way to get around

The staff was fantastic. I arrived with food poisoning from the previous town we were in so I spent my time here quite sick unfortunately. The hotel provided a doctor (total cost for the doc was about $15, including medication!), and on check out we had an afternoon to wait before our flight and the hotel kindly provided a room for me to use, greatly appreciated! The beach is fantastic, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Good location, friendly staff

Plus points: Good location, not too far from airport. Great sunsets. Friendly and courteous F&B staff, eager to help and serve guests despite working long hours/split shifts. Their English may be basic, but they made up for this by trying to converse and being so cheerful! Minus points: Buffet breakfast is OK, but nightly BBQ is boring (4 nights) as there are not that many ways to grill meats and seafood! There were different menus for buffet, but not many dishes and some were similar to the breakfast spread, so variety was not that wide. However, since half-board only costs a bit more than room + breakfast and includes a glass of wine or beer, it is worth the package rate if stay is 2-3 nights. Toiletries - 2 out of 4 bottle caps were broken but cleaning staff did not replace the bottles - just placed the caps back on top!

A service not for 4 start hotel...really disappoin

Not really happy,we booked for president 2 bedrooms,a main room a bathroom basin look like design for baby not for adult,it very small and short can not use it.the worst one is service at the beachside restaurant they not realy care about thier service and customer.never go to a restaurant here again.

Great location on the beach

Great hotel with an excellent position on the beach. During our stay very few people used the pool as the beach is so close. Even so we always found beds. There are a couple of restaurants/bars further along the beach away from the town. The best one being Rory's bar although that is 1 mile away, great to walk down to it on an evening, have a couple of drinks and some food and then walk back stopping off for a night cap on the way. There are a few restaurants on the road too both ways. In town several places served food down near the hatbour. It is not commercialised too much near the hotel and the pavement was having an upgrade that will certainly make walking about easier

Great beach

Very relaxing stay on a beautifully clean beach (and pool) with comfy loungers although covers need some TLC. Also a netted area to swim with a pontoon something for everyone.Bikes to get around on to included. Sadly all the pavements were ripped up on the way to town, not pedestrian friendly, only place to walk was the road, no reflection on the hotel though. Great place to stay especially if you can afford one overlooking the sea!

Island R and R I'll

After a busy 25 days touring Vietnam Saigon Phu Quoc was a delight. The buffet breakfasts were amazing. The beautiful beachside sunsets breathtaking. Walking distance to town and the night markets a must do. Great pool which was often vacant made it feel like our own private resort. BBQ dinner by the beach excellent and room service on the beach a real treat. Beautiful well kept gardens. Pollution from the ocean is evident but the resoryt try hard to keep their beach clean. Highly recommended. We missed our flight and the staff were excellent organising an urgent taxi and new flights. The beds were comfy and rooms very clean.

Really good staff that helps you make the most

Nice beach and facilities and very good staff. Always helpful and really concerned that you have a good time while staying with them. One day I had nothing planned and they helped me out in putting together a plan which resulted in being one of the most exciting days of my trip. They have a tourist desk where you can organize all your trips to different locations in the island. After each trip always found fresh fruit and other compliments at my room waiting for me.

Great time here. Lovely staff good range for breakfast. Good walking distance into town & restaraunts close by. Must try "Let's try Boroda Restaraunt" just 500m down the street from hotel away from town. Awesome food. Relaxing pool & beach.

Solo traveller

Because of low season I get an upgrade to bungalow at seaside. Marvelous. The buffet seafood was really value for money. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There is a free bicycle rent. The only thing that wasn't good was the gym. I also booked because this place had a gym, but the weights are all plastic and rubbish. Only running machine was ok. Hopefully they upgrade the gym and I sure like to come back. It's true there a lot of families with kids..:)

Nice resort, happy hour rip off

Service was excellent most of the time except the happy hour deal at the pool bar. It was not conveyed clearly. We thought it was buy 1 get 1 for any two cocktails/beers but it had to be the same ones even though when we arrived at the bar we had specifically asked what was on special for happy hour so clearly we would be ordering happy hour drinks - we felt ripped off. Food and drinks at the resort were relatively pricier. Definitely cheaper/better to go to restaurants down the road. Resort was overall very nice!

Nice hotel on the beach

Decent hotel for beach and pool. Food was not the best. We stuck to vietnamese iced coffees, bottled water, and champagne. Good location, close to bars and restaurants. Really friendly staff.

One of the best resorts around

Saigon Phu Quoc has certainly exceeded all our expectations for a resort. Staff were attentive, service was great. There wasn't even any struggle with the language as they could understand English well even if they can't really speak as fluently. Our room was ready for us when we arrived even though it was 2 hours before check in. We were even surprised when we were given a complimentary room upgrade! Resort is just right at beach front which is always mandatory for a beach/island resort. It was also about a 15 minutes leisure walk to the night market, which worked out well especially after a full seafood dinner. Overall, we were delighted we chose this resort and certainly would recommend to friends.

Nice but expensive resort

This resort is nice and clean, polite staffs with diversified breakfast and free shuttle bus from and to the airport, but room charge is so expensive. I'm very unpleasant with receptionists, they seem not interested in their customers, when we checked out, they forced my family wait for 10 minute to check every items in our room even I told them I don't use anything. They seem not believe in anybody.
