Front desk staff with very professional.

Wonderful staff and the hotel rooms aer very clean. Food is excellent too. Stephen, the concierge, is one of the reasons to stay here, as nothing is too much trouble for him to help you with.

Albert Hall visit

The hotel was very nice, comfortable beds and good size rooms, clean and beautifully situated at the end of Kensington High Street and overlooking Hyde Park.

I booked this hotel last minute and asked the lady about the VIP amenities or room upgrade, and was advised that either was not available due to the late booking and arriving at 8pm. I was advised that the hotel has a leak and that was their priority.

Second time staying in the hotel and i would just want to thank Moiez who helped with checking me in & Joyce who brought me my breakfast on both days for making my stay very comfortable and being so welcoming. The showerhead didn’t fit in the holder which wasn’t convenient other than that it was super nice stay!

It was a wonderful stay. The hotel is excellent with great staff who were friendly and very helpful. The hotel is in beautiful condition and the rooms are spotless, very well appointed and very comfortable. We will be staying again.

We stayed here for two nights for our wedding. We couldn’t have wished for anywhere better! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after. The room was really well appointed, clean, really comfy bed and pillows. Thick, fluffy towels. Large bathroom with bath and separate shower plus bidet. Staff were, without exception, friendly, helpful and professional. We can see why this hotel had stood the test of time. My parents used to stay in the 1960s. Thank you all for making our stay so memorable… We will be booking for our anniversary- every year!!

An excellent few days at the Royal Garden. Great VIP benefits with room upgrade and food discount and liked the Piano Bar. Unfortunately the spa was closed on the day I wanted to use it, but otherwise, courteous and helpful staff in a good hotel.

Each staff member I encountered was attentive, knowledgeable and eager to please. The room was in great condition and I had a wonderful stay.

Best property best location polite staff

Uncomfortable beds and thin pillows.

Recently renovated hotel. Kind and attentive staff. Great toiletries by Penhaligon’s. The beds very hard/not comfortable and the pillows thin and not supportive. Because they put two mattresses together to form the kings, and with no mattress topper, you feel the hard line down the middle of two edges put together. If you want a good sleep don’t look for it here. The hotel needs to replace all mattresses and pillows with more plush quality.

Outstanding service, facilities, and location.

I took my wife here as part of her birthday celebration. We went to cirque du soleil at the Royal Albert Hall so a very convenient location. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, and my wife received a cake and bubbly for her birthday. Although the bed was a bit too hard, the room was lovely.

I felt pampered before I even walked in the door. The staff and the breakfast buffet were both amazing. Even the pullout sofa my daughter used was comfy. Would highly recommend!

Awesome hotel!!

The room was very clean and had an awesome view. Bed and pillows were very comfortable! The staff were awesome and made us feel very special. Location is great as well, very easy to get around!

Great location and friendly service

Take advantage of the concierge desk!

The Filipino gentleman at the concierge desk turned us on to some 'hidden gem' restaurants merely blocks away! He, in particular, really helped make our stay outstanding. The hotel was great; sorta like a US style but smaller Marriot. The location was safe and clean. A Whole Foods down the block was convenient as well. If you get off the beaten path you'll find London food at its best. However, other than the park and Royal Albert hall, you'll have to travel a bit to get to the sites on the river. That said, the hop-on-hop-off buses stop right there.

Paid for an upgrade to a royal garden room got an a joining room no sound proofing had a couple next door either fighting or having sex for the whole night horrible experience and to top it off the fire alarm started at 1.30 in the moving

Nicely appointed rooms and amazing park views. Area was bustling and easy to jump on tube. Really enjoyed it.

Love the hotel but one annoyance

2 night stay to enjoy 2 shows and London. 6th trip and we just like the location and the hotel and staff - will come again. Only thing that annoyed me and was reason for 4 stars and not 5 was each night housekeeping come and check rooms and both nights they take the keycard that we leave in (room gets warmed up and we are charging things). Complained both nights and hope they listen as it’s very annoying when you get back on and the items you wanted charged are not charged

Love this hotel. But can’t control heating and room was too hot the entire stay.

DISAPPOINTING. I’ve been staying at this hotel for over 20 years and it’s normally excellent. Sadly on this occasion it was not. Extremely loud music lots of bass pounding from the room below (piano bar) until 01:00 meant I could not sleep. We should have been informed about this at check-in. This room was NOT worth over £300

Perfect stay.

Very clean and spacious room for your family of 4. The boys, aged 10 and 12, comfortably slept on the large sofa bed. Room was very clean, and loved that there is a bath and shower here! Location is convenient enough but at night its quiet so appreicated that.

Beautiful hotel, great breakfast and great customer service. Very comfy bed and perfectly clean room and bathroom. My only small issue was the room was very cold and took hours to warm up a little.

Terrible service. This is NOT five star

Service is awful. Couldn’t find our booking, wasn’t allowed to take our own luggage upstairs but waited nearly an hour to brought to the room. Wasn’t told the bar was reservations only so couldn’t get in. Door man watched us 3 times struggle to get to get through the side door due luggage and wind (the main doors were broken throughout our stair). Bath wouldn’t drain when using the shower and the plug handle was smashed off. Bed has a large wooden frame which you hang your legs on as the rooms are so small, no water in the room on the first time. This struggles to be a 4 star. Go elsewhere, we will be.

Unfortunately, for the first two nights of my four night stay there was loud talking, laughing and banging doors from the room next door which went on until past 1.30am which I reported to management.

amazing location, check in poor, emailed twice in days leading up to arrival to request early check in, got no response. arrived 2 hours before advertised time, told room not ready, came back in an hour, still not ready, had to queue 10 mins before time advised only to be told to come back in 10 minutes. room very clean and comfortable though not nearly as large as pictures suggested

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From start to finish our stay was amazing. The staff were extremely friendly and welcome our children with open arms. Upon arrival they were greeted with 2 teddy bears. Housekeeping was brilliant, the hotel was spotless. Each day our bed was made and the sofa bed our children were sleeping in was made back into a sofa, they even returned in the even to reinstate it as a bed. Fantastic. The breakfast was sublime. Honestly there is nothing bad I can say about this hotel. A special mention to one of the men working in reception with glasses unfortunately I didn’t get his name but he was amazing and extremely friendly, he sat at the concierge desks some days. They even give my children cookies when they were sitting in the lobby with me. I’ve stayed in some amazing 5 star hotels but this has to be up there with the best of them for service. 10/10.

A great hotel in a good location

We booked a trip package which included two nights at a high-end hotel. Just two nights in London seemed like a waste so we decided to bookend those 2 nights at a more affordable hotel. This is where the Royal Garden enters the picture. From exiting the taxi, the staff was absolutely delightful. We were quickly checked into our room and our luggage beat us there. My wife is a habitual Lysoller. In our room, she didn’t feel the need to spray anything. It was SPOTLESS. Even the hidden places were clean. At 18:00, while we were at dinner, the staff came and setup the fold away bed for our 9 year old and turned down our king bed. Very nice touch! The complimentary soaps smelled great and actually left me clean and not waxy or oily. The location is very convenient to dining and shopping of all sorts. Even while staying at a hotel twice the price, we were anxious to get back to The Royal Garden.

The staff were friendly but the foyer was overrun with guests who lacked courtesy and awareness for others. I realise that is not a fault of the hotel itself or the staff but it did impact our enjoyment of the property.

Very overpriced for what it offers. Service is very poor. Check in and check out unfriendly and always has queues around. Room cards keep on losing connection so need to re magnet at the reception. Will not stay again. There are far better hotels available.

Amazing place unfortunately we stayed only for one night because we escaped 2 day from our Paris vacation and totally worthy the trip and the stay, my kids loves the service so polite and the location too.

Absolutely perfect stay. Room was good for 2 people. Bathrobes were nice and fluffy. Room service was quick. All staff went out of their way to help with request. The view from window was really nice especially with the sun. Hotel was so close to everything from the Park, shopping, transportation. So convenient

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The proximity to Kennsington Gardens, shopping and the subway was fantastic. Plenty of restaurants to choose from too. We had a great time.
