The facility was dated and the food was subpar. The ac in the room was not working, and there was no phone in the room. I made several reports to the front desk and Expedia but was given no assistance. I

I just returned from my birthday vacation and can't say enough about how enjoyable it was! Having been on the property last May 2024, I was impressed when a staff member remembered me during the most recent visit. Her name is Samantha. She is kind and helpful any time I see her! Shout out to her! The other thing I want to note is about the night time entertainment. On Wednesday (my birthday) there was a young group of dancers that included a violinist and they performed with perfection! Through many pieces and multiple costume changes, I was so impressed! Such fabulous talent and showmanship! Can't wait to return!

Checked in without the key waiting three hours for the the room to get ready and no assistant in the room. And the room was not what I paid for
When we got to the room there were no towels. We had to keep calling and asking. No water was there and we were told that its due to the current construction. However, majority of the staff were very polite especially those who work at the Souk restaurant. If you are not a fan of taking the stairs, this isn't for you as they have no elevators on property

The property had a great exterior, the staffs was amazing, and the food was delicious. I loved that there were plenty of activities on-site, so we didn't have to leave to have fun. However, the rooms were in poor condition and need an upgrade. When we checked in, we saw a lizard in the lobby and a roach in our room. There also a protest by the staffs over not being paid before Christmas, which caused delays in service.
We had a room in the new renovated area. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. the lady at the front desk ( I believe her name is Simon) was professional and helped me to accommodate my request. We stayed for two nights and overall our stay was nice. However few things could be improved: for example food option was limited or with limited variety, they run out of towels for the beach frequently and I had to wait at least an hour to get one.
Room door looked as if it had been pry open a few times, balcony door would not lock, no hangers in closet, had to turn off A/C with circuit breaker, bathroom counter cracked up, minimal food selections, dated property, nothing Grand abt this hotel
Food is not that good on Montego Bay side better on Cornwall side. Room Needs to be updated badly, female Staff is unprofessional just rude.
It was a ok property, the walk up was a challenge and the WiFi was bad, it keeps going in & out. Mist of my stay I had not connection, we it’s friends & family. With out my own mobile connection.
I would not recommend this hotel. My spouse and I arrived at 3pm which is check in time, after being checked in, we were told the rooms are not ready so we should go to snack area. An hour an half later we still did not have access to a room, no one said anything to us. Finally after waiting 2 hours we went to our room which was a disappointment, the elevator does not work and we got the 4th floor. The room needs lots of renovation, the shower heads did not work, the room smelled funny. They really need to do better, with this hotel. Also if you do decide to go with this hotel, know that there are two sections, with one section being much better than the other. Check in at the main entrance and by all means avoid the smaller gate that’s where the subpar amenities are booked.

I recently stayed at Decameron Montego Bay, and I can confidently say one of the best hotel experiences.When I arrived, the staff was pleasant and friendly. They worked hard to make me feel at home. Thank you, reception crew, and Sweetness, whose story of strength and resilience explains why she's remarkable and why everyone headed to the gym wants to go back to Decameron. Also, the hotel's guest safety is remarkable. Everyone must pass various physical and documented checks to enter or leave.These considerate efforts kept me safe and comfortable during my stay. Beyond safety and comfort, the staff's genuine caring is most notable. Every encounter felt personal, and they were clearly committed about making guests happy. Every night had a different theme, but the steel drum band musical event was the cherry on top, and I'm pleased I went. I highly suggest Decameron Montego Bay for its excellent service, safety, and great entertainment team. I want to go again despite my high expectations of authentic and wonderful Jamaican food was in my opinion, lacking.
The stay was great good food and entertainment great distance from the airport too but the room was wet 24/7 from the coldest of the room and outside being so hot even when AC was off all night just water everywhere all over the ceiling walls and ground
This is a beautiful property BUT The building needs upgrading really bad. The tiles in the rooms, the cushions in the lobby, the doors on the rooms needs a redo. The buffet is so limited. There was no oxtail!!! Staff took silver ware away not expecting guest to go back to the buffet!! It’s a buffet!! Was unable to get cranberry juice at breakfast! The staff needs an education in cleanliness with their appearance. The waiter/bus boy did not have a name tag, his clothes was filthy for someone who works with food. The ladies blouses were so tight it looks like buttons were missing. The front desk did not know what a wash cloth was. She said it does not come with the hotel amenities and i would have to but a wash cloth across the street! Even Air B&B’s comes with wash cloth. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were clean. Housekeeping staff was nice.

I personally enjoyed it. I usually stay at the RIU or the Hyatt but wanted something more chill and less crowded. This fit the bill. The female staff weren’t really pleasant but that’s what I’ve come to expect from Jamaican woman. Overall 4/5

No towel in bathroom ..front desk said they no longer offer wash cloths to bath with ..that’s horrible.
I was very disappointed in the condition of our room. When we arrived the room tv was not working, no towels available and the phone did not work. There is mold on the sink and the window curtains. Water was dripping on the floor between the beds we had to use the towels they brought us that night to wipe it up. Water was dripping from the ceiling while we use the toilet. We reported these conditions to the staff and was told we would be switched to another room the next day but they did not switch us. We never got any room service the entire time we were there. It’s as if they forgot that room 15 exist. We asked for our money back and were told that’s not possible. I would never recommend anyone to go to this hotel. We paid over $800 usd to stay for 2 nights and felt like we were in a dump. One of the staff also agreed that the room was not prepared for guest and that’s unacceptable. The manager only apologize and said the building is under construction and all that will be fixed in the next week. If this was the case they should not have rented the room. Do not stay at Montego Bay Decameron. You will regret it. I wish I could upload pics and videos of the room but do not see any place to do so. I also clicked 1 star and the system keep putting 2. They deserve zero stars.

The property was a mess. We stayed there 5 pervious times so i didn't check the reviews bad choice. The hotel looks old and run down we had to change rooms 3 times in the first 3 days of our 6 day staythey no longer provide you with face cloths so we had to go and buy some the staff didn't smile and seemed very defeated . The food was very bland and not a great variety . The beach was still very beautiful and we made the best of it but probably willnot return. Did not get the luxury we paid for!!!
The food was good, the vibes was good. The drinks were top tier! However, the up keep of the facility is poor and some of the waitresses attitudes are disgraceful. Overall it was a great experience, and those issues mentioned above are an easy fix
The property is old. The room was very basic. Curtains were filthy, small older TV, The shower doesn't have a soap holder, had to put soap bars on counter while showering, broken balcony rail. The staff were friendly and helpful. The vibe was a bit slow and not too many young guests. The entertainment was good. The swim up bar was very fun.

We liked the scenery and beachfront. The hotel didn’t furnish washcloths which is a game changer. The food was generally good, but breakfast ended early at 10:30 am. The liquor was cheap. There was no gin, Appleton rum or sparkling wine. The hotel front desk would not change any US money into smaller bills so we could tip housekeepers and servers. There was no elevator service and the telephones didn’t work. We were very disappointed and feel as if we didn’t get the value we paid for an all inclusive experience. The Grand Decameron Hotel was inferior to other all inclusive hotels where we have recently stayed in Jamaica.
My partner and I definitely got quality for every dime spent. From the service to the property amenities, everything was just great for our mini getaway. Shoutout to all staff members who made our trip memorable.
The resort was great! beautiful beach view and cleanliness was seen. Staff checked up on us multiple times and were very nice. However, the ladies at the front desk give you attitude when asking for questions. We checked in and got told our room number without giving directions. No tour of the resort was given and they expected us to know where to go. We asked many times to show us the direction to the room and no one showed us. After 30 minutes we found the room. Room was great, however the bathrooms need updating.
Very conveniently located . The staffs are courteous and personable . Hats Charmaine at the guest service and Mr Mckenzie in the dining area . Will visit again .

My stay at the resort was just fine. It was comfortable and seems like any other big resort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Montego Beach property needs some upgrading but the Cornwall beach property is just fine and more upgraded. MY REAL PROBLEM WAS WITH HOTEL.COM that somehow managed to get the reservations switched from Cornwall beach to Montego Beach without me noticing that it was a different location on my booking. BUT Thanks to the hotel staff who took care of it by allowing me to join my party at Cornwall beach with no issues. OVERALL: RECOMMEND DECAMERON CORNWALL BEACH. Montego beach is ok too just needs a facelift. Food is excellent. Staff helpful. Place is clean.
This was an amazing stay for my friend and I. The staff went out of their way to make us feel included and comfortable, even got to be brought up on show nights!! So easy to walk around and safe. They are big on writing down who comes and goes out the resort. I would 10/10 come again!
Overall this hotel is not bad if you know what you was getting. I don't appreciate that Grand Decameron Montego Beach room selections are the Decameron Cornwall beach rooms. It is disappointing to see the room i got compared to what i selected online. Decameron montego beach need to be renovated. The menu at Suku was terrible 😫 But Stefanie the wait staff was excellent 👌 her customer service skills is one to replicate. The entertainment was great 👍 👌 👏

This was my 2 times at this property. I was looking forward to this trip been that i had a good experience the 1st time. I was so disappointed 1st my toom room was left open when i arrived and the room smelled of nothi g but bleach . Just to find that the shower was full of mold ( might need to use spor-gk). And ehen they moved us the moves us to the other end of the property to the very last room where the public hang out so we had to listened to loud music all night. Not to mention that they dont put wash cloth in the room And front desk clerk was rude. The bright side was that the staff was excellent except the one front desk clerk and i love the beach. I think we'll try another property on our next trip.
The room was very poor in regards to cleanliness and needed an elevator. The batch had a funky odor coming out of the pipes and the TV only had one channel.

I enjoyed my stay at this resort. It’s a cute little resort that’s quiet and perfect for the occasion. It is conveniently less than 3 mins from the airport which I liked. The staff is pleasant and willing to help. I just wish they would invest in the upkeep of the resort. Some minor repairs and improvements and you’re sitting on a gold mine.
If you are on a budget and want a quick getaway this is the place to go.
The view from this property was amazing! I loved the food because they offer many varieties. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wait to get the room was very long and frustrating but once I got the room everything was great. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend it to family and friends.
Il start with bad.Building needs a lot of TLC. Shower curtain was torn. Need replaced. Light switch broken on one side of bed pushed in wall when I went to turn it on. Only 1 or 2 vanity lights worked and shower drain clogged with hair. Maintinence NEVER came. I let them know again about these at front dest when I left hotel. Now to good stuff.Entertainment crew great friendly, fun and lots and lots of energy. However, they only get 1 day a week off. These guys need 2. Need and deserve. They are extremly hard working. All day and all night.overall I would definatly recomend this place. Extremely beautiful place. Staff helpful.

The place was nice and clean, food was good, they actually serve jamaican food. There are coconut trees on the property and a naseberry tree, yes you are able to eat from them. Easy access to the beach and pool. There is a beautiful view, you can watch the sun set while having dinner. Most staff were very friendly. The property on the outside is really nice, you can sit in a garden and relax. For the downside, the hotel needs upgrading, there is no elevator for a place with 4 floors, no refrigerator in the rooms. Needs a bit of painting and tubs and bathroom equipment need replacing.
It is very clean and attractive. Staff are very friendly and courteous. They would go the extra mile to make sure your needs are met, especially during the hurricane season. I like the ideas of them making you be aware of what is happening with the hurricane, we were updated right throughout this hurricane beryl. Our meals were very delicious and prepared on time.Great place to stay.

The air conditioning was not working in my room. I talked to the front desk about it for the one week I was there and it never got fixed. The resort looks old and you can tell they just painted over things. The smell of new paint was in the room my entire stay. The food was terrible.
The only thing there is no elevator, but long as you on first or second floor you good.
The best value for an all inclusive you will find on this beautiful island. Staff is amazing - from management (special shout out to Charmaine!) to the entertainers to the waitstaff to the bartenders to the porters to housekeeping (bring your own wash clothes!) to security to the lifeguards to the chefs to the maintenance crew…who did I miss? Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made sure we felt welcomed. Beautifully maintained beaches, pools, and grounds reflect the hard work and dedication of the staff. Rooms are clean and are a bit dated, which made no difference to me as I was hardly in it because there is so much to do between the beaches, pools, food, and the (very interactive and fun!) entertainment.

I liked all of the entertainment at the hotel and how the staff was very friendly.
Our first impression of the resort was positive in terms of upkeep however we quickly experienced frequent impoliteness and Decameron Mobay and Cornwall staff being curt with us in the dining area and bars ( as though we were bothering them when wanting to be serviced) and we often found it difficult to relax without being hassled to do entertainment activities or purchase massages on daily basis - it is quite annoying to have to keep explaining why you don’t want to purchase a spa experience after an vacation investment was made at the resort. If there are some attitude adjustments things would be much better and we would return. Thanks!

This hotel is discussing big roaches in my rooms not one but 3 of them the sewer need to fix lizard running all over the bathroom window seal they don't wash cloth so bring your own the food is semi ok chefs have attitude up the ass i mean all the staff is except Jenelle is the only customer Service Representative was willing to go above and beyond to help us all other's attitude stink A/C doesn't work well in some of the rooms no elevator so if your planning to pack heavy good luck climbing those steps this is a place where you want to have a one night stand i say go there other than that i would never recommend anyone to this nasty discussing filty infestation germsy hotel

I have encountered challenges with the customer service provided. It’s one of the poorest I have received. Unfortunately, the attitude displayed by the staff often implies that our presence inconveniences them. Notably, both the front desk and the gift shop experiences were particularly unsatisfactory. In the gift shop, for instance, the employee appeared bothered when asked to confirm the price of an item for the second time. In an attempt to avoid further disruption, I apologized for any inconvenience caused and decided not to make a purchase.
I was expecting similar service as when I went to Cabo’s San Lucas Mexico. In other words it was the complete opposite. We arrived earlier from the United States and we couldn’t check in till 3pm. I place to be in King size bedroom but instead I received a two full beds for me and my partner. Food was lackluster, one day my partner and I were out on excursions. We came back in the evening and our door was left open. Immediately went to the front desk and they said they will be on top of it! The facility is a little obslete. The resort doesn’t even have a shuttle to the airport. You must bring cash to pay for a taxi.

I was trying to check out the same day but no one knowa how to tell me how to get a refund i actually stayed somewhere else because no visitor allowed and if you have bring something to a car you load on the street side cars cannot come in no elevator suitecase wheels broke and room is upstairs lobby no air conditioner i would love a refund credit

The room was clean and the ambiance of the beach with FREE chairs and beach towels was Excellent! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The only compliant I have is I don't eat pork and my meat choice was very limited and my view was obscured with trees. I could not get a good view of the water, which I was highly disappointed. I asked immediately to change room and was denied. Overall I had a great time!

My vacation began very poor when I checked in my room I was a sign had mold .i was given a different room the same day by a wonderful manager on duty at the front desk . But the ac never worked I had to buy a fan the next day. My housekeeper was very excellent for the two days she cleaned my room. Until the next day she was off someone else cleaned my room an stole one pair of my shoe. Packing my luggage to leave I realized it was missing.I reported it but very little interest was shown to even investigate who cleaned the room . I’m a returning resident an I’m so disappointed at what happened to me an my wife. I want to send appreciation to Stephanie from breakfast dining room she made our vocation her service a knowledge was exceptional,the food was great my wife loved the fresh omelette . Overall the property has a great view a some good amenities but poorly maintained. I seriously wished I was asked for something rather than been stolen from. I recommend this property but be very cautious with your personal properties when you leave things in your room
Property is run down and in desperate need of repairs. Checked in one room and it has visible mold in the bathroom and there were no towels. Called front fed at 3pm to inform them and no one ever showed up. Went to the front desk only to be told that there was nothing they could do but report it. Next day went back to the front desk to find out it was never reported. They then offered to change out the room but we would have to wait until 3pm before one would be available. Went back at 3pm was given a new room. Entered the room there were no towels, no pillow cases on the pillow, no remote for the TV and no iron. The issues for the exception of the tv remote were corrected. On day three had to return to the front desk again because the remote they left in the room did not work. There were issues 3 of the 4 days of my stay. I would never return or recommend this place to anyone. The GM and guest service manager did bring a fruit plate and champagne to the room as a sorry for the inconvenience and it was appreciated, however they will never get my business, as they say first impressions are the last.

I liked that we could use both Cornwall and Montego Beach resort during our stay. Lots of access to beaches and dining, plus coffee and gym were great! So good that we didn’t leave the resort once! Beautiful location, super close to the airport, lovely sunsets, coffee is delicious and the gym had everything we needed to keep fit. Food tasted great, even though I ate like a queen, I felt like I was more in shape during my trip than usual. But that’s because the quality of the food was amazing, I wasn’t stressed and I stayed consistent with my fitness. I would definitely go back. And recommend to friends and family. Only thing I noticed is the staff doesn’t really seem to have much urgency. I’ve been to Jamaica before but a different resort and it was a contrast. Not speaking on allllll the staff but majority seemed to be on their own time and schedule. Water wasn’t refilled daily in our room but they got us extra pillows when we asked for them which was nice :)
Let me start off by saying. We love this resort. Its affordable and the staff is great. Unfortunately this time we went the alcohol selection was very small and bottom shelf. We actually went across the street and bought our own to drink at pool bar. The buffet was also just so so. A day or two they actually had a dish or 2 that was good. The last time we went buffet was great so maybe just a bad week.
