The staff were so welcoming, helpful, and caring. The food was excellent. Would definitely recommend this resort.

A luxurious hotel with spacious rooms and lots of facilities inside the hotel. Good connections for public transport as well as plenty of parking for hired or private cars. Excellent food options within the hotel and plenty of options within walking distance as well as local restaurants further afield.

This is second time I have stayed at this hotel and it is still a pleasure to wake up on a morning and look out to sea. The staff are great and attended to all our needs.

The Royal Apollonia is a wonderful five star resort, located on the beach. The staff is exceptional, friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with a smile. The breakfast buffet is a unique experience, highly recommended! This is the third time in a year that we’ve stayed at the Royal Apollonia.

Impeccable service at a brilliant hotel

I first stayed here in 1975 with my parents and then returned for the first time 5 years ago. Very nostalgic for me. It has been refurbished since the last time I was here. It is in my opinion an impeccable hotel, run to the highest standards. Nice little private beach and an amazing pool area. I will very probably return. This hotel has stood the test of time and continues to delight.

Amazing breakfast buffet. Spacious room and bathroom. Very clean. Big pool and a nice private beach. They have very good restaurants. A couple of issues: the bathroom door in the room didn’t have a lock. The hotel room door doesn’t close easily. The sunbeds around the pool are big and comfortable, but they are black and become very hot under the sun. The housekeeping lady knocks on the door and directly enters the room. Also, during checkout, we were charged a 145€ bill at their restaurant which was not ours; but the receptionist at the front desk immediately solved the issue.

Nice hotel, somewhat dated. Lack of a heated outdoor pool is an issue for guests during April and May (as such, not many people use it). Staff are helpful, though lack of information from Reception at check in. Spa looks good, food was good. A lot of road noise if facing the front of the hotel.

The hotel is super nice, the sea view rooms are so worth to stay in. Breakfast is international with many options to choose from. The beach and swimming pool is well maintained and the furniture is really new and clean. Rooms are well furnished, the only need to put more effort to clean walkways between rooms and to pay more attention to the small details. All in all it was a great stay and I would recommend the hotel and will visit again for sure.

I loved the hotel but my only complaint was the food at breakfast was Luke warm Also the fried eggs were cold and the chef wouldn’t cook fresh for me I was told that “ eggs are there” Although we laughed at her sternness it isn’t what I expect from a five star and think hotel should make its mind up if it wants to be fully inclusive or b and b as too many rules and regulations for guests The towel card is a joke!!! I have stayed all over the world at top hotels and never been expected to prove I’m returning a towel

We stayed at Royal Apollonia for 7 nights during our short vacation in Cyprus. My husband and I were impressed by the outstanding service! Morning breakfast was excellent as well. The hotel was very clean and its location convenient. We would highly recommend Royal Apollonia and look forward to visiting it again soon.

Good location with excellent customer service but the breakfast was just brilliant. We used the gym, pool and sauna as well as have a massage on our 2nd day . All in all we had a great time and will be back .

Amazing hotel, really friendly staff and great service.

Excellent customer service and front desk help, and we are traveling a lot in order to compare . Rooms are clean, great view, excellent food including dinner. Will do everything in order to provide help and to find solutions . Nice gym and swimming pool.

Could do with Update in the rooms for that price

The hotel used to be quite a bit cheaper 1.5 years ago. It looks a bit tired in places and is overpiced really if you look at the state of the cupboards in the rooms, carpet in the hall etc. The price has gone up a lot but things have not been kept up to date, which is a shame.The breakfast & pool area is excellent. The rooms are very spacious and staff very friendly

Nice relaxing stay

We landed very early in Larnaca Cyprus and had to wait till 2pm in the Royal Apollonia hotel lounge to get a room, which wasn't optimal, so the very next day the hotel manager, responsible for booking, kindly upgraded us to an ocean front view (an absolute must for this hotel) The rest of the stay was amazingly taken care of by a wonderful staff, attentive to our needs. A special thank to the remarkable headwaiter Costas, for his attention to details during our breakfast and dinner. Another thanks for an extremely difficult but well done job by Yiorgos, the service manager, who solved all kinds of issues arising daily. The 3 restaurants pretty young headchef Panagiotis, was remarkably flexible and creative, in the making of our special diet menu (gluten free dairy free) and produced some excellent dishes. Paulina was such an understanding and caring food manager too. All together I would recommend this hotel. Nice beach (dark sand and rocks beware). Great clean swimming pool with a bar, a jacuzzi and one pool for the little ones. Impeccable constant cleaning of the surroundings. I woke up at 5.30 am to watch the sunrise and the staff was actively cleaning the sunbeds, umbrellas, staking towels etc...This place had everything needed to enjoy ourselves and de-stress from our busy life. This experience made us want to try other locations from that chain...

Staff were super friendly and helpful. The hotel pool overlooked the ocean, great view, and we loved the swim-up bar. The sushi restaurant in the hotel was excellent!

The view of the sea is simply therapy! It’s very convenient because it is in the tourist and there is a bus stop outside the hotel Limassol is small and easy to discover I recommend the hotel my stay was extremely pleasant

The staff was wonderfull. Everyone from reception, waiters, bellmen were super nice and helpful. Its a cute cosy property - sprawling lounge and terrace with infinity pools overlooking the sea, Breakfast buffet was really nice - great views! They had a made to order omelette stand, unlimited fresh squeezed orange juice, espresso/regular coffee drinks and a very rich selection with different foods (breads, fruits, yogurts, cold cuts, veggies, etc). The spa with workout facilities, sauna, steam and indoor pool is very nice as well. Loved it!

Fabulous hotel on the beach

Outstanding service, beautiful hotel. Pool was gorgeous. Excellent food at breakfast and dinner in the Japanese restaurant. Extremely helpful friendly staff. We were greeted with a glass of champagne and all check in was completed as we sipped and sat on sofas.

Arrived in november. The positives: The hotel is nice, modern and within walking distance to cafes, supermarket and some restaurants. It is also very easy to get to central limassol by bus. The bedrooms are big and very clean. 1 Bottle of water is provided everyday which is handy along with biscuits. They provided a gift on arrival and departure. The pool is nice which sufficient seats. Negatives: The beach area is a little small, can imagine this gets very crowded in the summer period. Now breakfast....i thought this was quite limited with the same on offer every day and is a small selection. The fruit also seemed to be from a tin except for the melon and orange. There were also smallfruit flies hovering above that no one seemed to take notice of. For a 5 star hotel, a bit disappointing. The staff are generally friendly and accomodating. I did have a negative experience with one of the staff by the pool towards the end of my trip. They approached me randomly as i was sitting down and asked if i was a guest at the hotel. I said yes, she then went on to say yes i remember you, you look different today maybe its your face or hair. Not sure what was meant by that. Then asked about where im from and that i dont look it and suggested i was from a different country. I thought this was a very unprofessional conversation to have with a guest at any hotel. Housekeeping are also a bit impatient with wanting guests to leave. Also knocking on the door at 8/9am and opening the door.

Great hotel

The hotel was very good. Great staff always helpful. clean and large rooms. Breakfast was diverse and great. Close to the beach. The only issue its located far from the marina.

I like everything about this hotel -I have stayed twice this year and enjoyed it both times.

Bad stay, don't book the a room with the jacuzzi!

We arrived at the hotel two couples. We especially took an upgraded room with a jacuzzi. It was a bad choice. These rooms are on the first floor. no view at all. the jacuzzi is not heated at all. there is a serious drainage problem in this balcony. It was full of water throughout all our stay. We paid almost twice as much as our friends who took a normal room, and in fact they received a different treat from the hotel every morning - they received cake and cookies, we didn't get anything, despite the the amount we paid. we received a 20% discount note for the spa treatments, but when we came to pay at checkout, they only gave us 10%. And now for the most terrible thing of all- an unbearable amount of insects and bites!! How come in a five-star hotel they don't put a mesh on the balcony to prevent insects from entering? Every day we came back to the room and at least five dead bugs on the floor. Really unpaid to rate this hotel as five stars. No service, no cleanliness and no value for money. If you have already decided to come, take the regular room. The upgraded room is simply a steal from the hotel. After talking to the hotel manager about our severe disappointment with the stay, no adequate response was given. As I said, even the 20% we were supposed to receive, was lowered to 10% despite the many complaints. A big disappointment and a waste of money. It is not clear why they call themselves five stars. We will not go near there anymore and neither will our relatives.

Nice property and well taken care of. The pool is magnificent and good access to the beach. There is a wide variety of restaurants which makes it nice. The staff primarily is what makes this place worth it. Remember though, this is a sleepy retirement area.

My visit to the Royal Apolonia was excellent, with good staff. they were helpful and friendly.

Lovely staff. From the moment we checked in, nothing was too much trouble. The room was lovely, if slightly smaller than other 5 star places we've stayed. We were upgraded to a beautiful seaview. Breakfast was an amazing selection. Cleanliness was evident in the whole hotel. All in all, a lovely long weekend

Great location, convenient to dinning restaurants and coffee shops. Beach front access, indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Difficult experience checking in, however, reception staff very polite and tried their best to smooth over issues. Spa staff rude and unhelpful. Only one red wine available by glass in restaurant which was undrinkable. Food only available breakfast, lunch or dinner. If you arrive in the afternoon before dinner or want a snack between meal times it’s impossible to get food. No free water in room and rooms a little dated. No complimentary water in rooms. Good entertainment each evening in lobby area, perhaps this should be moved outside in the summer months. Lovely free form swimming pool close to the beach. Food not good in specialty restaurants, generally not keen on buffet food but this restaurant was small but good variety of food and staff so willing to please.

The hotel was absolutely amazing, the staff was so attentive. We were also upgraded which was fantastic. We were travelling with a 9 month old and all the staff members were so accommodating and welcoming. Absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and hope to be back soon!

A resort hotel

It is certainly not a new hotel but it has been updated & refurbished so as not to show its age. The pool area & direct beach access are terrific. The main restaurant were fine (though buffet style). Staff were very international & very friendly and accommodating

What a wondeful hotel. Ive bene travelling to Cyprus for many years now and its the first time Ive stayed at the Royal Apollonia. I had a 6th floor suite, all the staff were so friendly and attentative, clean rooms, great buffet breakfast with a vast array of food. I cant fault my stay to be honest. Will definately be coming back to stay again

Staff is very good great location

The resort was gorgeous. In a few areas it was perhaps a little tired, but understandable given proximity to the sea. The area around the resort is a little bland and not much else to do. We would stay here again. The hotel restaurants and room service were good.

Great hotel, fantastic breakfast with lots of fresh produce on offer. The spa was a bit small but we didnt really use it. Great outdoor space, spacious rooms, comfortable bed and amazing view. Well worth getting the seaview room. Would certaiy come back again. Staff superfriendly too.

As an Hotel 5 stars I felt myself at home like I'm living in a private Villa with a perfect service. Special experience and of course coming back when I reach Cyprus.

Over rated, over priced, VERY bad service There are way better options in Limassol

Excellent hotel for a little getaway in Limassol.

Wonderful 8 night stay in The Royal Apollonia. The hot tub room and view was lovely, and we felt very safe. All the staff were wearing masks and very strict on ensuring the breakfast buffet was COVID secure - wearing of masks and plastic gloves to enter. Staff couldn't do enough for you and were absolutely lovely. Thanks for a lovely week!

Overall ok. Helpful and kind staff. Clean. The hotel facilities and rooms slightly aged. Could not say the same for the gym which had all it needed with new machines. Breakfast was limited for a five star but nonetheless fresh and tasty. Was a bit surprised to see they labelled a certain cheese as "Cypriot cheese" rather by its name, halloumi. Hotel management are not doing any justice or helping the ministry in their longstanding battle to safeguard the name.

We had an amazing time!

Amazing hotel with very kind and helpful staff. We stayed at a spa room with a jacuzzi which was lots of fun. The hotel and rooms were extremely clean and we felt safe during this time with the pandemic. If I could suggest minor improvements, I would say the breakfast should have more local options. Also, the hanging chairs need cushion as they are pretty unusable without it. Other than that, we are extremely happy and would recommend!

Lovely Weekend

We stayed at The Royal Apollonia for a weekend. The hotel is rated as a 5 star but in my opinion it is a reasonable 4 star. The staff were very helpful and polite but I think the spa needs upgrading and improving. Good buffet breakfast choice and good location. Limassol is a fantastic city with a beautiful marina and definitely worth visiting!

A Favourite Place

This was a “repeat” stay and it is fair to say this this has become one of our favourite “short break” get aways. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the facilities are great, and the location is beautiful with wonderful sunrise and sunset vistas across the sea.

Nice hotel but don’t choose the jacuzzi deluxe

Very nice hotel. Views and food are excellent. We booked a room with jacuzzi. Not worth it. The jacuzzi never had the right temperature. It was 29-30 which means just not cold. So I paid the extra money for nothing. In other hotels I’ve stayed I could change the temperature of the jacuzzi but in Royal it is centrally controlled. I feel that I overplayed for something I didn’t use

We had a great room on the 3rd floor. My. Only issue was the lifts were too small and sometimes it was easier to walk up and down the stairs - we did with our bags too - than try and squeeze in the lifts.

Excellent rooms, facilities and location. Lovely swimming pool and very good food.
