Penthouse without full kitchen
Great place to stay, we booked the penthouse without the full kitchen, very nice we definitely enjoyed it, staff was friendly and at first we thought the cost of laundry was a bit much but the washer and dryer are very large and was well worth it. However we did have one issue, it was that it’s very cluttered. I mean the layout of the beds was ok but what we felt was out place and made it look cluttered was the table in the middle of the room with 4 chairs, it’s right between the fireplace heater and the little cupboard thingy for dishes and microwave. IMHO I think either a smaller table or just removing it all together would make it that much more comfortable. Other than that staff is friendly, room and view is nice and would definitely recommend it.
We understand that this hotel is more suitable for backpacker/casual traverer couples than family, but my child loves to watch big trucks, trolley buses and big constructions just right under their nose so Robson Street View has been essincial for my family for years since they were a baby. This hotel is reasonable with combiniently located the center of Robson st, giving our tireless little one neverlasting fun after tons of day activity around downtown Vancouver. Always our choise when we stay downtown Vancouver.
I had two different reservations and they upgraded my reservation to helped to have the same room during my stay.
Great location and friendly staff. Room was a good size and had lots of amenities
Property is super clean. It is walkable to lots of restaurants and is in the center of everything.
Hotel was clean and nice but to pay for sove usage in kitchen was not a good experience. Add the price of the stove with the total and leave the stove open.
Good
Great stay!
It is hard to get this price, space and supply at this convenient downtown location. Everything was great, esp. the room set up with everything in need, even more!! Hope to be back here stay longer.
Great staff & atmosphere
The staff is so friendly and helpful. Hotel is clean and well kept. The fireplace is the perfect touch. Views of the city are amazing at night! Would definitely recommend!
Thank u
This was my first time in Vancouver and I randomly found this place I thought I would give it a shot since it was reasonably priced, had a full kitchen (that I didn’t need but liked that I had it haha), and a balcony. The room was comfy when I arrived, and to my surprise, along with the double beds there was also a bedroom. The bedroom didn’t have a tv tho so that kind of sucked. The hotel doesn’t really have any amenities which was fine for me cause I didn’t need any. I also got lucky with a really nice view (despite the construction). The hotel definitely needs some updating, I didn’t care for the cracks in the bathroom sink, stains in the bathroom, and the overall feel that some things have been there a veryyyyy long time. Despite a few “incidentals”I overall enjoyed my stay. The staff was professional, I wouldn’t say nice, but they were professional.
Fantastic value, would come back again.
Very small rooms but having a stove was a welcome sight.
Group in room above was noisy and had to call front desk. That group was still aloud to stay and should have been removed because they continued to make noise.
Floors were sticky when walking around room. Not clean. Beds had left-over hair. Inside sheets. Not sanitary. Left me feeling uneasy about being in the room
This is an older building that shows its age. There have been updates of flooring and lighting and overall it is fine. Our queen room was very small, but we were only there for one night and it was fine for that. The bathroom was tiny and the amenities were interesting-an assortment of different brands for shampoo, etc. The bed was comfortable and the new heat pump worked well. There is a pretty big TV and an electric fireplace, which was a bit odd in such a small room. There was one easy chair. Although we didn’t use the items in the small kitchen area, there was a Kurig, a kettle, bottled water, a bar fridge and small stove. I didn’t look to see what supplies were provided. If you don’t need to spend any length of time in the room, it is fine for 2 and even better for one. The price and location were the deciding factors for this quick visit. The staff were efficient and very pleasant.
Staff was friendly, but the property was not what expected.
Centrally located with great access.
The pictures were misleading.
Need check in little bit faster
I had an amazing experience at Divya Sutra Hotel, and a big part of that was thanks to **Marylou**, the receptionist. From the moment I arrived, she greeted me with a warm smile and made the check-in process smooth and hassle-free. She was incredibly professional, attentive, and went out of her way to ensure I had everything I needed. Marylou provided excellent recommendations for local attractions and dining options, making my stay even more enjoyable. Her friendly and welcoming attitude truly made me feel at home. Exceptional customer service like this is rare, and I truly appreciate her efforts. Thank you, Marylou, for making my stay memorable! I highly recommend this hotel, and I hope to visit again soon.
Had a great trip will be staying again
Stayed there when going to a Canuck game and was not disappointed. Great option for the cost.
The electronic keys were not working when we arrived for our two night stay. When we went to our room the doors were all propped open! This was not resolved all night so, although being told “don’t worry the door will lock and we can let you back in your room if you go out” it left us very nervous as a min with two teenage girls travelling with her. No offer of refund or discount provided from the hotel, had to go through Expedia. The room itself was outdated and many cracks in floor and walls. Washroom was also showing many signs of age and rust. The beds were comfy enough but the air conditioner was extremely noisy and there was a sign to say not to use it below a certain temperature so it made the room uncomfortably warm. Overall, for spending over $200 a night I was very disappointed and due to the room key situation we moved to a different hotel for the second night, similar price and MUCH better option. We will not stay here or recommend anyone staying here in the future.
Great value!
Room was clean, service was excellent, the only downside was the tub didn't drain when having a shower.
Smelly
I really enjoyed my stay here, the room was big and clean. The full kitchen was awesome. The staff were very nice and helpful, and they accommodated in many ways. Thanks for the stay!
Good location. Room and hotel are a bit dated but they were clean.
Except from my room being cold and the heat couldn't keep up everything was ok
Great service, staff is extremely helpful, and excellent location! Thanks for all the help!
It’s a good hotel, but the lobby was so dirty Rooms at the view are good for the price
It's at a good location which is near to all restaurants and shopping areas. Central location to go to aquarium or mall or gastown. We first had a top floor room with a good view but small rooms. Second day we had big rooms with not a great view on second floor. The priority is yours. Staff was very nice and friendly. Building is a little old with old kitchen. But overall we loved it
Was good for what its purpose was
They advertise the rooms as having a kitchen, only to find out it’s an extra $25 a day. Not cool at all.
In the times I've stayed at the Divya hotel the staff has been consistently friendly and accommodating. if your on budget or not the. the hotel is safe comfortable and clean and in an area close to all amenities downtown. You won't be disappointed .l Highly recommend the Divya hote! Happy travels Eric :)
Perfect location Friendly staff
Great city view. Friendly staff. Very dated. Pipe leak.
Good
The hotel is outdated, has old technology and could not check in.
The place was ok. The property is a little outdated but it was good enough. What I didn’t like was that no where on the ad did it say we had to pay extra to use the stove and oven. The whole reason I booked this place was to save money on going out to eat but we ended up having to anyway because we didn’t want to pay $25 extra/night just to use the stove and oven. I also had an extra person join the trip last minute, and we were informed beforehand that it would cost $25/night for an extra cot in the room. That was totally fine and I agreed to it. Upon arrival, we were informed we had to pay $25/night for the cot AS WELL AS $20/night for the extra person. So that was 2 charges for really the same thing? Why not just charge $45/night for the cot then. Other than that the place was ok, staff were friendly, I just wish there was more transparency with the actual prices or everything extra.
Great
Will definitely stay here again. Very affordable in such a good location. Very friendly staff and comfy beds
Changes unfortunate - fees for every little thing!
I was disappointed in the changes since the last time I stayed there. We requested early check in as the room was ready, however were told there was an early check in fee, we then decided to ask to store bags and were told there is a storage fee, but if we wanted to leave a review they would wave the fee. This was unfortunate. My last visit was pleasant and I was treated with a warm welcome. This felt all transactional.
The property charge for everything, despite you pay pet and garage, we booked a room with a kitchen but guess what...if you want to use the kitchen, you have to pay an additional fee per day...we complained and the answer is, sorry, we have to charge. I do not understand why, if you paid for a room with the kitchen, you are going to be charged an additional fee for using it.
Great service!
I like the space of the room, clean, comfty bed and sheets
Older building and it shows. Beds were comfy though. Check in was a bit of a hassle because they didn’t answer their phone after 5 calls so I made a second day with Expedia. At check in was told everything was set for my two nights. But it wasn’t. Other than that… quiet, close to downtown.
Nice, Clean and very approachable in Downtown with easy access to train and other amenities.
Good
The staff are very polite and helpful. The room is so clean and the views are spectacular. Would definitely stay again and would recommend to friends and family. Mohammed H
In the morning the heater stopped working. And I couldn’t sleep.
Good. Rita, the front desk officer was very helpful.
Great location. Very friendly staff and comfortable, spacious rooms.
It doesn't look like much from the outside but the room & driendly staff make up fir that cery small blight.
All good
should be better customer service
Issues on last day but we came to a compromise.
Location, location, location. This is my second time staying here. First time was amazing as a young family, second time they were doing renovations but the price reflected that so I will base everything on first time. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, the location is amazing.
I like the people are very accomodating. The sink in the washroom is leaking reported to the desk information
Nice staff
They let us arrive earlier than 3 pm
Amazing customer service rooms are always clean!
Wonderful stay with an even better view from the 11th. Sharmaine and the front desk staff were very helpful and accommodating with my late check out.
Excellent
Old hotel - bad customer service
Older hotel. I booked with the pay at hotel option & they phoned to ask for a payment upfront, I told them they should only have the option to pay up front on third party booking site, their is 1 elevator that gets clogged up when staff are cleaning the hotel, will not stay again - I’ve never experienced this much trouble at any other hotels booked on hotels.com
Make sure read their email carefully
Dated.
Dated property. $35 parking. Great central location. Nice views. Staff was friendly albeit somewhat disorganized. Good food options nearby. When parking was included, the price was a bit much for what you get.
It was a quaint space and very much worth the stay. I do have to complain about the lack of transparency regarding extra costs that could come up with “colder months”. Complimentary items becoming pay by the day rates are understandable, if & when the notice is updated in the website.
Yes
only problem was no working oven
I liked that it was a complete set up for the price, with a good kitchen (Stove-Fridge-Microwave-Coffee maker-Zinc), dinning table, relaxing chairs, closets, an updated bathroom and 2 beds. The temperature of the room was excellent. I did not like that the mattresses were a little worn out
What i liked was the location. Everything's is withing walking distance. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. Rooms are great! Staff is friendly and helpful and very informative. Its budget friendly. Best deal around town.
Friendly and loads of good food and shopping right out the front door
Nice convenient place to stay with great staff.
Was spacious, Bed was comfortable. Clean. Staff was friendly. Very strict on no early check in
Extra charges unexpected
The property offered a kitchen, but charged additional for electricity to the stove/oven and microwave. I was annoyed, but ate out, mostly.
Friendly helpful staff, quiet and safe. Good place to stay when you're in Vancouver.
Hotel was under renos which we didnt know at time of booking. They were sanding the walls at 9am everyday. Smelled like paint everyday. Good location The room was okay - outdated and not the cleaniest
My go to place to stay on Robson
Stayed one night on my way to a ski trip in Whistler. Service was great. They allowed me a really early check in with a room upgrade, at no extra charge.
Lovely service and place ! Highly recommend!
Great location. Nice part of downtown. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Large rooms.
Great location and value!
It was spacious, clean, and great friendly staff! Great location to downtown!
Was fine
A really friendly hotel with lots of space in a cool neighborhood. Stayed there while attending a conference at Canada Place- still quite walkable.
Not great but fine for one night
The check in staff were great but small things in the room were not great. Coffee machine was broken and they didnt have another, heat pump wouldnt change temperature, fireplace didnt work, bedside lamp didnt work, no bathtub stopper and they charge if you leave any dishes unwashed. Affordable and good location.
Very clean and well appointed bathroom however the overall quality of the room was somewhat below expectations based on the pictures - cracks stains and seams in the wall coverings etc. For a short stay it was fine but for future guests it's important to recognize the reasons for the low price. Also, I was told at check in that there was an extra charge of 25 dollars per day for use of the kitchen stove and or oven! Definitely a first for me..
loved my stay!!
Amazing view loved the space and the staff were super friendly, some dirt/dander in my suite but really couldnt complain for the price and location!
Comfortable and Practical. Suite Spot ;)
Business/Work stay.
Excellent
Very clean with friendly staff
..
Great service qnd excellent location. The hotel is going through some maintenance atm, but didn't affected our stay.
Very good location...friendly staff...comfy bed...spacious
Its affordable and clea.
An incredible off-season bargain in an excellent location in Vancouver.
The convenience of this location was absolutely amazing! Very small hotel but me & my partner didn’t mind it at all. It was also great just to relax in our room and enjoyed the gorgeous view of Downtown Vancouver & seeing the bay & parts of Stanley Park in the distances. My one complaint that I had was the doors were so loud when guests were leaving their rooms. Hopefully in the future they can fix and have them slowly close? But other than that, I had a wonderful week stay there 😙😎
Lovely.
Was a nice place to stay
