Best hotel for match game and for rest things in Monaco, defo come back next year
Great location. Staff is friendly and helpful, check-in process is fast.
Great location and views, just a couple of minutes walk into monaco and at a much friendlier price
It wasn’t up to the standards that I have experienced before at Marriott. It was nothing more than a Holiday Inn.
Lover the border has paid parking on site but it’s not close to Monaco walking distance
A first-class hotel and we very much enjoyed the trip to Monaco
Everything you would expect from a top shelf property in a place like Mknaco.
Amazing staff and property! Minutes from the Monaco Casinos and beaches!
The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The bedding linens need updating as they were worn, rooms are small but nice balcony. Unfortunately even if you select a non-smoking the room/balcony may have smokers. Use of the van shuttle was great.
Great hotel!
I was pleasantly surprised with an upgraded room, and the spectacular view from the balcony was truly breathtaking! The spacious rooms was beautifully decorated, and the bed was comfortable.
Nice small hotel few minutes walking to Monaco can’t ask for more!
Good hotel and excellent staff
Very hard to get to
Nice
The hotel has a beautiful view of the port
The location is great as it's close to the port.
Restaurant service very poor; staff untrained and, refused to serve anything other than beer or wine. Rooms are very basic and quite dated. Hotel lobby and staff were wonderful
Great stay
This hotel was fabulous. We instantly felt at home in the hotel. Our room was extremely comfortable, with a view over the marina.
Loved to stay here
Stayed there with friends, great view on the sea, big rooms, location is great and it comes with a big parking so it's super convenient in this area. Staff is really nice too.
We were going to the ATP tennis tournament in Monte Carlo. This hotel was very convenient for the bus to the tournament. We had a room over looking the marina which was nice. Staff were very pleasant & helpful, food was OK but not special. A personal gripe of mine is the location of electrical sockets for hair dryers, straighteners, mobile chargers etc. Why are they always in inaccessible places and nowhere near mirrors?
This property is one of my favorite places to stay! Outstanding service! Bolinas restaurant on-site is delicious! Hotel smells heavenly and rooms are lovely with very comfy beds! A short walk to a beautiful public beach! Walking distance to Monaco, train station, walkway along the ocean to Mala Beach. Concierge is Adrianne Mauri. She is outstanding! This is a magical place to stay!
Great place for our business trip. It has everything you need, plenty of space to work and had gluten free options for my celiac colleague, which was a massive plus!
Really loved the view
The hotel location is perfect for people who like to walk and spend some time in the city, and than you go other direction and walk on the beautiful trail with magnificent views that brings you to a hidden beach.
good location
아주 훌륭한 분위기 매우 친절했어요 최고의,만족 입니다
Poor rooms, service. Nice location
Great location, rooms are tired, old, restaurant service is poor to non existent. Reception staff were friendly & professional. In room dining food & service is horrible, the man delivering literally banged so hard on the door & when I opened he was like “tray is heavy, my hands are occupied & can’t open the door”, im like who asked you to open it, usually you wait for guests to open the room door lol. Restaurant - if you don’t have enough patrons, close it. Don’t have your 3 staff huddled chatting & not even acknowledging to serve the one customer there! Serving food in chipped plates
Myself , my son and wife had the most amazing stay at the Marriott in Monaco the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Rooms are great, views are great, hotel is clean and lovely. You won’t be disappointed. Until next time thank you
One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at interviews of the ocean with yours. The room is fantastic with champagne and other supplies in the fridge to help hydrate you the staff is excellent and the restaurant downstairs is above average if not perfect.
Clean, comfortable propery. Friendly and helpful staff.
The hotel has a splendid situation by the Port Cap d’Ail. It is at the beginning of a wonderful coastal footpath to the west. The view of the Marina was spellbinding, along with several fantastic sunrises and sunsets. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel for trips into Port Hercule and further east towards the Casino and Forum Grimaldi. We were originally allocated a room on the first floor, which didn’t have such a good view, and asked to be moved higher. Room 211 was excellent. Staff helpful and friendly.
Nice view over the Marina and nice outdoor dining and relaxation space Good breakfast but limited dinner menu.
Hotel Nice transport with challenging for family of 5 … no Uber more than 4 passengers taxi only 4 but Monaco had vans but were hard to book
Good Hotel but the pool is not like the pictures at all
Property is tired and old. Lobby is a dump.
Location was okay but your are on the France border with Monaco so it does take a bit of a hike to get to the main areas in Monte Carlo. They do have a shuttle that will drop you off in Monte Carlo but they will not pick you up. We saw the shuttle dropping people off and ran over to get a ride back to the hotel and the driver said he was not allowed to take us back so we were stranded walking for a while before we called at taxi that cost us 25€ to go 1 mile. Also the air conditioning in our room was insufficient and the room temperature was unbearable.
Great location, easy walk to centre
A lifetime ambitious to visit Monaco helped by exceptional staff.
Great hotel
Lage top. Zimmer & Bad sauber und schön. Restaurant geht so.
Beautiful facility, quiet and with a nice harbor view
Awesome
Great location, couldnt fault anything.
Very good throughout, particularly the staff. I really cannot fault any aspect during my stay. Super location, right next to the stadium, on the waterfront.
Clean tidy service excellent
Very happy business trip at hotel.
I was only staying for 24 hours with work but felt very well looked after by the staff. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and colleagues in the future.
Quick trip
Great place to stay, good location
No air conditioning in the room, noisy rooms
The property is nice with beautiful views but the service is limited if you’re going to Monaco book in Monaco not Nice France.
I will definitely come back to this hotel ,it’s very practical to go everywhere and is one of the cleanest hotel
Lovely hotel! Very clean and nice! I really appreciate all the staff. They are very nice people, specially the guy at the reception and the Italian driver. I really appreciate when people are kind and helpful.
Not good
Nice place to stay near to Monte Carlo
We booked a room with the balcony. The view was just as pictured on the the web site. The staff was wonderful, they gave us recommendations on what places to visit. Breakfast was great, too. Definitely recommend this place if you are going to Monaco.
A very decent hotel
Great value, great price, and amazing view
Very good property, excellent staff and even better manager 😊
Great location & staff. Modern decor and comfortable beds. Breakfast buffet was excellent!
Le staff était très attentionné mais l'hôtel est daté avec des chambres aussi datées et pas très pratique pour un long séjour. C'est très dommage nous étions restés auparavant au Novotel de Monaco et je pense que notre prochain séjour se fera la bas.
Great location and views of the harbour
Fantastic staff all very polite and helpful, Breakfast buffet menu very good. Found the dinner menu limited and not enough variety. Rooms clean and well serviced.
My stay was nice, the hotel had beautiful views. The taxi is a bit expensive but everything is walking distance if you wish. The key to our room kept dying so we had to go to the front desk a few times. But they were very helpful when you needed a taxi and couldn’t find one, and kitchen food was good as well. Staff has a small shortage of employees for the amount of people staying at the hotel. Overall this was a good stay.
Nice room. Good location near walking path
Enjoyable stay for business
We loved everything about our stay!
We loved everything about our stay; The staff were very welcoming and helpful, the breakfast was amazing and had a lot of vegan options, the room was spacious and clean and the terrace with the view over the harbour was incredible! We will definately come back and next time we will stay longer than 3 nights. Thank you!!
What an amazing place
We chose the Riviera Marriott de Monaco as our home for a quick trip to Monaco. And we were not disappointed in any aspect. The room offered an amazing view over the port and yachts from a large balcony which was breathtaking, the room was great and we'll equipped. The personal welcome note from the GM only made it more special. Robes and slippers are always a nice touch. Food and drinks were great and the attention of all the staff was incredibly. Thank you Marriott Team Monaco. From me 5! convincing stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The property needs upgrade to compete with the other hotels
for 2 nights i could not sleep because i smelled pee/urine and when finally i looked under the sheets i was correct. the housekeepers never changed the under the sheets, paddings
We tried to cancel because of covid we could not fly in wanted to reschedule they did not let us and took are money without staying there! I would not ever recommend Marriott ever after this situation!
It is a Marriott, so you know what you are getting. The room was a good size and modern. We also had a maria view with a nice balcony from our room. In general, people working there were helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was ok. The hotel is technically not Monaco (which is obvious from the address), being Cap d'Ail, but it is right on the border, so sometimes the taxi drivers would charge 20 euro instead of the usual 15 euros to travel around the area. You can walk in to the centre relatively easy, but it is a good 20 minute walk. There is a shopping centre close by and there is a bus stop just outside the hotel as well, which takes you straight to the centre and is very easy to use, frequent and convenient (suggest getting a 10 token journey if you are there for a few days, but you need to get from the centre). There is a nice little stone beach a few minutes walk away from the hotel as well, which was great. Overall, we would certainly use the hotel again if we were to come back.
Very much displaced this place. It had an attached restaurant that charged high prices for awful -- and we mean, tasteless plastic-y pizza and chicken "drumsticks" that looked like they had been infected with something. We arrived somewhat early (10 am) and were told that, although check-in was usually in the afternoon, they had cleaning staff working on some of the rooms and we should stay close; they would ring us. We didn't get into our room until 3:00 p.m., We would regularly go back to the desk to see what was happening, and they would always indicate the cleaning staff was working on it, and they would call us shortly. If they had simply been honest, we would have gone into town (The hotel is kind of in the middle of nowhere, next to a tunnel and a marina, but without any other restaurants or stores nearby. It's pretty isolated.). The rooms were clean, but average. I would never stay here again.
Amazing area with great views on the Marina and ocean. Beach is one block away. Restaurant on site offers great breakfast and nice options for lunch and dinner. Staff was all the time willing to help. Shuttle to Monaco Casino.
Enjoyable stay
Reception staff were exceptional. Nice experience all together
Top!
Très bon séjour, jolie chambre sur la mer.
Reception staff very helpful, however, Covid restriction meant that food was was difficult as the resturant was closed.
Mixed feelings about this hotel, dated interior. Booked a Deluxe Double room got given a twin room with two single beds, view from rooms is great and staff are good. They dont store luggage and they charge for wifi - they have no room service and no mini bar in rooms. For the money there are better hotels within a walking distance of this one as I learnt after.
Themis property is disgusting and should only have 2 stars. The rooms and hallways smell like smoke (we visited 5 rooms before finding one that smelled less like smoke). The utensils - like another review stated- were filthy. Forks spoons and knives with food particles stuck to then placed back in white napkins. The location is near the harbor, near next to nothing and it’s a pain to get in and out of. Spend your money elsewhere.
good location, room with a nice view, helpful staff
gave myself 3 days to really think about writing this review, I didn’t want to complain in the heat of the moment knowing that my family and I were staying at a 4 star resort in one of the most beautiful places in the world. I was moved to write this review to make aware the standards that we expected for the price, time and travel we committed to for our family vacation while in Europe. We traveled across the world to be able to experience a once in a lifetime (for some) luxury stay while sightseeing and making memories as a family. I am of French decent while my family is not so it was an honor for me to show them my country. We chose the Riviera Marriott Hotel La Porte de Monaco, a family suite facing the sea, and couldn’t be more excited on our stop through. It wasn’t difficult to find, the parking was easily accessible, covered, safe & secure. The bell hop immediately greeted us and directly provided assistance in getting us checked in with all our luggage. Staff were exceptionally welcoming & friendly. The lobby was clean & decor was modern & exquisite. We stayed in room 915, a corner suite, spacious upon entry with the sofa bed already turned down for the night, and wonderful since we were all exhausted from our long day of travel. The kids fell asleep immediately, my wife & I decided to make espressos from the bar provided to us. All drinks and snacks were complimentary in the bar which was nice. The two espresso spoons next to the cups were both dirty and cr
The view from the hotel is beautiful, right on the water and looking at the yachts.
Staff
It is a little hard to find and the entry way is difficult to manage. The staff was great and very accommodating, they made us feel very welcome. I would stay there again! The hop on hop off bus stop is very close and a great way to get the lay off the land.
Very modern design in the rooms and lobby. Location was perfect.
We will be back...
We loved our stay here!
The hotel had a beautiful lobby and the staff were friendly, additionally we really liked that there is a small little beach very close by. Unfortunately this place is very over priced for the condition of the rooms...they need to be renovated if you are going to charge so much per night. The shower was leaking onto the floor and there aren't even shower curtains we had to use all our towels to mop up the floor. Also, you would think that for that price WIFI would be included?? You have to pay 5 euros per day.
Riviera Marriott - 5* Memorable Stay My husband and I had the most wonderful stay at this hotel for our long weekend birthday celebrations. We arrived late in the evening and had no hassle checking in. I had been emailing Auriane who was very prompt with replies. We were upgraded to a higher floor due to being Marriott Bonvoy members. However, the first room we checked into had a really unpleasant smell in the bathroom. We notified the Nicholas at the reception who moved us into a different room (lower floor but better amenities!) immediately. We were given a good offer for breakfast upon arriving which I would definitely recommend as it is quite difficult to get a decent breakfast anywhere else in Monaco. We used the shuttle daily which was no problem getting booked onto. The first couple times we got a bit lost on how to get back but luckily Jeremy organiser the hotel shuttle pick us up when dropping off other guests. Another time, they advised us which bus to take (6) and which stop to get off at (Louis stadium II). The hotel is very reasonably priced and only a 10 minute car journey from the main Monte Carlo casino. The restaurant offered lovely cocktails and food too which we enjoyed on the last night. The view from our room was incredible and I would definitely recommend a balcony sea view room. We were only on floor 7 and still had a breathtaking view. There are a few other restaurants/cafes at walking distance to the hotel. I would definitely return!
Very nice staff, good food. Stinky room and hall , dirty swimming pool area.
The location was great and the staff was super friendly
Room was big & comfortable except the air-condition was very noisy.
so so.
good location. awful odour in hallways of our floor. dining staff gave conflicting information.
This property is very old and run down. It doesn’t feel very clean, service is average and the location is inconvenient unless your there to watch a soccer game.
It’s not what I expected at the five-star Marriott hotel the food was not up to standard . rooms was not clean I will not give it more than three star
Great service and staff. Beautiful location overlooking the water.
the staff at the Riviera Marriott were so friendly and helpful, the hotel is ideally placed to get around Monaco easily. loved it and will definitely go back.
Great location, easy access to all attractions , staff very friendly
Bring your own wipes to clean the Plates
Monaco is very expensive but lovely city. We did not expect the cost of food to be 3 times that of the US. So we tried to eat at the hotel more - and even though the breakfast was free - the dirty plates and the below average food put a damper on what was otherwise a great week. I will say, avoid asking the staff for reasonably priced meals - perhaps French do not know what that means as they referred us to a restaurant that came with a bill of 400 dollars - for not much food
I loved the location, the relaxed restaurant atmosphere and nice pool all within a stones throw of the beach. I will definitely return at some point.
Everything was as expected !! Really good team job in the hotel
Great hotel, great breakfast and great staff. Will definitely come back again. The service was very good as well.
The location by the Monaco/France border was especially advantageous in that we could order Ubers into Monaco and other nearby attractions such as Plage Mala Cap D'Ail (we wouldn't have been able to order ubers had we stayed in central monaco).
