Very good stay and would look to use again for sure.

There are better alternatives in town

A hotel on the outside of the CBD with no direct pedestrian access other than a footpath down a grass embankment on the other side of a busy state highway. The room itself was not bad but there was a very odd overpowering odour which could suggest issues with plumbing. I don’t think I’ll book again

Large room with plenty of space. Great staff, very friendly and helpful. Wonderful restaurant.

Great room and easy to get to by walking from bus station. Even though it’s off a busy road, the room was quiet. Didn’t get to try out the pool since it was rainy and a bit chilly, but appreciated that it was there. It seemed a little dated in the bathroom, but still clean and usable. Staff was great.

Fairly small room but very comfortable. Would recommend.

Paper thin

The loft room was dated and had rust in thr bathroom. The person showering in the next room at 11pm had music playing and i could hear everything as the walls are paper thin. This woke the whole family up and carried on until after midnight.

Quiet lovely hotel that is right across street from the river, the river walk, and a bridge into town. Comfortable room and bed, lovely shower and heater in bathroom. Perfect for a couple days stay to go to wineries.

Super friendly checkin. Room was nice, pool was welcome.

Love south islanders, they're super friendly and accomodating. The staff at Riverside were no exception. Price was on par with other motels in the area, but this was bigger, more private, has a pool and an awesome Japanese restaurant Sasa on site.

Great accommodation and excellent location

We have stayed at Riversidd Hotel a number of times and always found the staff helpful and the property clean. This time we were a little disappointed with the meals in the Sasa restaurant

South Island

One night stay heading to the ferry

We liked our stay so much that we would return next year.

Property was quiet and very clean. As we checked in there were many staff doing a deep clean in the hallway. Staff was kind and professional. We didn't need much for our 2 night stay. One night we ate at the Sasa restaurant on property and it was some of the best authentic Japanese ever.

It was okay, but lacks some modern day amenities, for example there were no accesible outlets near the bed. The mattress was older and softer in the center.

Nice property with friendly staff. Rooms need a bit of an update but clean and comfortable. Guest laundry available if you need it.

Only had a jug and small fridge.no toaster as well. No microwave.

It's a luxurious hotel with great value for money

I stayed for one night by myself. I was surprised by the spaciousness of both the parking lot and the room, which exceeded my expectations. Additionally, this hotel is located on the main street, which made transportation convenient.

The well / recently updated condition of the hotel is far better than revealed in the photos of the property. The service was efficient and courteous. They have a lovely Japanese restaurant onsite that was full when we dined. People from outside also came in to dine. The pool and the bar were relatively small, but not that it bothered us. With a 2 bedroom (1 King, 2 Twins) configuration, my family of four had a comfortable stay. Only shortfall in my opinion would be if they used refillable, wall mounted soaps/shampoos instead of tubes.

Nice place to stay, very close to the middle of town. Easy check in, very clean and tidy room with a generously sized TV and a wall bracket so we could turn the TV from the wall to face the bed. Great service from friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again

This is a very nice property and excellent value for money. I have no complaints whatsoever.

The Manager was very friendly and helpful. Also the chef from the restaurant, kindly organised more seating for us when the restaurant was fully booked. Thank you.

Really enjoyed staying at this property. We were greeted by very friendly staff. They immediately organised an early check in for me so that I could complete work that needed doing. the room was lovely and clean, and the bed very comfortable. The restaurant onsite Sasa was 10/10 superb! I would definitely stay there again.

When we fist walked in it was like going to visit my grandparents in the rest home it just had that smell to it like it was a rest home. Then when we got to our room there was no toilet brush to clean after using the toilet. Asked at front desk for one they brought one to our room when handed to my wife it still hand some one else’s feces on it. Also in the corner of Barth room it had a pile of dirt from where they had swept the floors. The restaurant had a very limited menu.

Quiet forgot was i a motel

Bathroom needs a extractor fan, left bathroom smelly and mouldy in places. Noisy heatpump in the hallway in the reception area that we could hear in bedroom. Restaurant was nice.

We found this property very expensive for the type of room. We had little options as we were travelling through and there was limited availability. The room was booked for 4 people however there was no space for us to sit, dine or watch TV. If we were staying for longer the room would have been very uncomfortable to be in for a longer stay. The toilet seat in the bathroom would not stay up so was very frustrating to use. The staff were very friendly and helpful however I would have preferred the option of paying at the venue so to avoid the credit card fee.

Lovely situated by the river and close to CBD. Lovely large rooms. Quite even though on a main road.

This is a lovely premise to stay in. Rooms good but getting a little tired. Obvious staff shortages like everywhere at this time. Restaurant was closed when we wished to eat there. Continental breakfast was available in our room which was helpful.

Really enjoyed my stay here! An excellent room, clean and spacious. The staff were all lovely and I had a great meal in the restaurant. A good location, but do be aware that if you’re not arriving by car there’s no pavement for the last 100 yards or so before the property (Which can be a little tricky with a suitcase, but not a problem)

Great place to stay during a quick overnight trip. Staff are friendly and informative. Restaurant and bar on-site. Comfortable bed. Will be back when I’m in town.

Lack of of staff an issue - no breakfast available on last morning. Staff situation caused by difficulty in getting staff. Room ok but shady and not that roomy. Still waiting for response explaining why we have been over-charged by $100. Refer to email sent 7 October.

Very disappointed the restaurant wasn't open for breakfast on the Saturday morning.

I enjoyed the spacious room, along with the quietness.

The staff are amazing, very welcoming & flexible. Have stayed there twice & haven’t had a problem, great job guys☺️

The staff was very friendly and accommodating by allowing us to check in early.

Was easy to locate, nice staff. They were understanding and were willing to help when we had to change dates of arrival due to delays on our side. I would've loved to have tired thier breakfast menu, but due to maintenance i was unable to. I hope the update looks great..

Just outside the centre of the town, but still walking distance. View across river. Very friendly and helpful staff. Facilities a little dated but well looked after. Roomy and all the basic facilities you'd expect. Could benefit with a few little extras or luxuries - eg plunger or coffee maker in room with real coffee, biscuits, etc. Good restaurant and bonus of no extra charges for room service.

Everything was going fine until 7.30 am when the builders started with their electric circular saw and hammers literally through the wall on their extension. When I mentioned it to reception on departure they apologised and nothing further. I felt let down as this ruined Our sleep. We are on holiday and this is upsetting

I found it central to where i needed to be in Blenheim

I had a comfortable stay at this Hotel. The Staff were very friendly and obliging. The service was great. Value for money. I would definitely stay here again.

Location is good, rooms good size. TV reception was very blurred and disappointing that one of the cups was dirty.

Staff were very friendly, enjoyed the room and pool, and downtown Marlborough.

Bed comfortable, cleanliness very average. Quite run down. Left with a wet handbag from leaking heat pump- which manager compensated for items damaged, which is good, but still left less than relaxed.

Ideal for our short visit to Blenheim. Easy access

Nice stay,

Staff not particularity friendly. Service in bistro very slow, staff appeared disinterested and the music can only be described as tortuous. 3 or 4 songs on continuous loop.

The property was clean. The staff where helpful to a point. The kitchen and breakfast is what let this property down. There where not enough staff on to cover the breakfast. The Sunday, i had to go down town. The bed was flat and not comfortable at all. Noisy rooms, could here the road noise and the people in the next room.

Disappointed

Disappointed with the hotel having had great hotels in North Island. Breakfast awful, continental - hard tiny croisants, tinned fruit!,cereals & toast. cooked - greasy plate of burnt food both expensive. A stale smell in the room & bathroom especially. Wouldn't recommend this hotel unless they improve their room cleanliness and get a good chef.

We stayed for two nights for the Food and Wine Festival. I didn't expect too much. Compared to all the fancy hotels we stayed at in Aukland and Wellington, this place was my favorite. It was quaint and the staff was very helpful. Particularly, Keppel.

Our short break at the Quality Hotel, Blenheim

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, lovely clean accommodation and food very good. Only drawback is we had a long wait for our evening meals. We arrived on a Friday which was market day in Blenheim which was excellent. Blenheim is a lovely spacious town with lovely parks and good shops.

Location is very central to township.My room was too small...no fridge..make sure you make special request for these requirements.

Some rooms were a little dated. Heating pads left on bed were lumpy and unnecessary as it was 30 degrees outside.
