First time at this resort and it was a 10/10. All the staff was friendly and fun. Ran out of time to try all the restaurants but the ones I did try were great. Great drinks and coffees as well. Plan on coming back in the future.

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our every need was met, making us feel truly pampered. We loved the variety of restaurants, from gourmet fine dining to casual beachside options, food was so delicious. The pristine white sand beach was perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing, with readily available beach chairs and umbrellas. Our room was spacious with amazing ocean view! Very recommend this resort and we will definitely come back!❤️

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I've never stayed at an All inclusive resort. The restaurants were wonderful.I really enjoyed the steakhouse , my room was Clean and fantastic. Every single one Of the staff numbers was very efficient and kind. I would completely recommend anyone looking to stay at a newer facility to stay here.It was absolutely beautiful.

For an adults-only hotel, it offers very few activities, so I’d rate it 0/5 for that. It’s quite small. However, the service and cleanliness are excellent—5/5—but the lack of activities is disappointing.

The beach was amazing, many places I can walk to outside of the resort. The food, drinks, and service were all great. My room was clean and had a stunning view. The RIU Parties were so fun and it was a bonus that RIU hosted Steve Aoki! Highly enjoyed my stay and would recommend and come back myself!

We were welcomed by Mafer. I believe she said it was a mix of Maria and Fernanda. She was amazing. Welcoming and full of smiles. From there every single staff member was respectful, helpful, ready to serve. Will definitely come back.

Pretty resort! The first time “out of the United States” I really love the beach front property and the amount of bars available. It also was waking distance to two big shopping malls and it was nice to walk around!

New and beautiful property. Well cared for and kept up. Staff were all very friendly. Rooms were clean. Bed was very firm. Buffet food was very good. Asian and Mexican restaurants were fair. Steak House restaurant was delicious. Didn’t try the Italian. Very much enjoyed there was not reservations for the specialty restaurants. Was given a pager. If there was a wait we were given a pager. This gave us time for a drink at the lobby bar. We got couples massages. They were very nice. Use of the steam room and plunge pools came with a spa service. The price was high for the massages but this is to be expected at a resort. I was disappointed in how rough the ocean was. It was not comfortable to swim, let alone walk through. Red flags flew every day we were there, and it seems this is typical. Sand and beach area was beautiful and well kept. No seaweed, or garbage. Service for chairs and drinks was outstanding. The pools are beautiful, clean, and warm. There is a quiet pool with less activity, and a pool with lots of optional activities from the entertainment staff. Angel, head of entertainment, was so much fun. Additionally, the separate swim up bar pool was fun. There was no concern over not having a chair at any of the pools or the beach. This was also in January, so that may be different in warmer months, if the resort is more booked. There seemed like there were plenty of guests while we were there without feeling overcrowded. Clean, well kept, comfortable hotel on the beach. Would return if they get more vegan food options. The room was good, housekeeping kept us in fresh towels and sheets. The TV's builtin Chromecast was super cool, I could watch from my own Netflix account. The bars were fun. Every drink with citrus had an interesting minty/herbally note...or maybe it's in the water? Every bartender and waiter pushes tequila shots, but I recommend the Paloma or an Ernest Hemingway (frozen). Buffet and restaurants were always popular. But the vegan selection was scant. I struggled to find variety and seasoned dishes until the last night's Asian themed selection. If you want to order from the special Vegetarian Menu, plan ahead with guest services because it takes 60 minutes to prepare.

This new and clean hotel has extremely friendly staff and a great variety of restaurant options on site. Our room is ocean view with balcony. This is perfect resort to getaway. Worth of your money and time!

Disappointing Experience at RIU Hotels & Resorts – Never Again! I recently stayed at a so-called 5-star resort, RIU Hotels & Resorts, and I have to say it was a deeply disappointing experience. During my stay, I encountered a serious issue with the cleaning staff that left me feeling disgusted. The cleaning lady used the same dirty cloth she used to clean the sink to wipe down my dishes. I was shocked when I discovered this, as this is completely unacceptable, especially in a hotel claiming to offer 5-star service. Naturally, I made a complaint at the reception, but the staff brushed it off like it was no big deal. The next day, the same thing happened again. I even recorded a video of her cleaning the dishes with the same dirty cloth, and when I showed it to the staff, they still acted as if it was normal practice. This lack of care and attention to basic hygiene made me feel sick and truly disgusted. I have stayed at many hotels, but this is by far the worst experience I've had. I expected better from a brand like RIU, and I am extremely disappointed. I will never stay at a RIU property again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. If this is how they treat guests and their hygiene standards, it’s a major red flag.

The resort is nice and clean. Overall, we enjoyed our time here but it is much smaller than Rio palace in costa mojeres that I had been to previously. I think i prefer that one. The only downside is costa mujeres is furthur away from airport.

This was the perfect place for a romantic weekend. The food was great, the staff was friendly and the hotel and rooms were very well kept.

I've never been to a resort that is that clean! WOW! It was sparkling for our entire stay. Really unbelievable!! The food at the buffet was AMAZING. I never thought I'd say that either. Such wonderful choices! The restaurants were hit-and-miss. Asiain was fantastic. The Italian, Elite, and Steak House were OK. We were disappointed in the Mexican. The drinks were fantastic everywhere but especially at the martini bar. The ala cart food choices were fun. Peppes was fun. The night buffet and sports bar food were fun. I was pleased with how many choices there were around the clock. The room service was fantastic. My only complaint was the entertainment crew. They were fun and walking around. But, I felt age-shamed by them. They would walk by the pool or lounge chairs with a volleyball and stop and ask anyone young to come play. Same thing with promoting the theme parties. We play league volleyball at home and love playing in the pool. We've even coached junior leagues. Apparently, we didn't have the right look—same thing with the theme parties. We brought attire to wear to all of the themes and were looking forward to some of the DJs. We would walk by them in their attire and they would say "hi" but stop the "young" people and tell them all about it. So, no one would want to join something they aren't invited to. At 50, I felt like I was of typical/average age compared to the other guests during the time of my stay. It sucked to be made to feel old, especially on vacation.

We traveled here for the first time and the property was perfectly located, in a very safe area with beautiful grounds, clean rooms, and extremely friendly and hard working staff. The beach is beautiful and there are plenty of loungers that the staff would set up for you on the beach. Dining was ok, but not what I could consider 5 star, although the service was wonderful and the buffet plentiful with tons of choices. The New Year's Buffet was exceptional and a highlight of the trip. The room was clean and beautiful, with all rooms facing the ocean and our balcony was just heaven. There were only a few downsides but nothing major. One of the pools must have had some malfunction because it was 100 degrees everyday. It was a beautiful pool but no one could go in it, it was so hot. The drinks were not very good, with bottom shelf liquor used unless you asked for better and even then, the drinks were not done well unless you specifically instructed the staff on making them. Finally, the entertainment company they had was not our cup of tea. They played loud music at the two useable pools most of the day and there was not really a place to have any quiet time. The shows were cheesy lip syncing and the trivia was JUST about their hotel chain. The vibe was for a younger crowd and many of us were looking for a little more R&R than party. It had lots of good things, but I would look for another site for a romantic getaway and I wouldn't say it is a 5 star experience.

I have stayed at other RIU resorts before. As a matter of fact i stayed at the RIU a mile down from this resort back in march 2020 during the coronavirus and it was safe clean and nice. This place is dirty. Specially the buffet. Oh, horrible. They put a punch of people to make dirty and ugly looking and tasting food. The lettuce is always brown. This should speak enough. I got sick the 3rd night and i believe i had corona. My wife git sick the rest of the trip and when we cam back to the state we did a corona test and sure she has it. The worst place to be. Never again RIU

Great resort for a great price!! Had everything you could need and staff was super sweet. The around area is slightly noisy and the spa is pretty expensive.

We fell in love with this hotel and we are already looking to possibly come back next month! My only negative comment is that I do feel as if 'adult only' should include an age policy of 25 .

First the good. This is a brand new hotel so the property and amenities are in good shape. Rooms were cleaned and nice/modern. The entertainment team does an amazing job keeping people engaged and there’s plenty activities to do. New year’s was amazing and can say enough to thank Riu. The Mexican service is spectacular! Waiters bar tenders etc!! The gym is tiny so I feel for such large hotel the gym is way too small and always crowded. The food overall was average and needs improvement, the buffet wasn’t too good but dinner was a bit better. Not sure why one of the pools was way too hot (40 degrees Celsius) and the other pools were fine. Overall. It’s was a good experience and me and wife had a great time.

The staff were excellent. The food was mid for an all inclusive....maybe even below mid. The only good meal was at the fish restaurant.

Close to the mall and no kids!

The property is located just a short 20 minute ride from the airport. We were here over Christmas and they had a beautiful Christmas tree in the front lobby. Our room was clean, and the housekeeping staff was constantly cleaning all surfaces throughout the entire resort. Even the bathrooms near the pools were bring mopped and wiped down. Emmanuel was great! He was always coming by to see if we needed a drink by the pool. On the downside, compared to other resorts I have visited in Cancun, the front desk staff at this RIU were not very friendly during check in, and when I stopped to ask a question, and also at check out. I don't know why the two different ladies I interacted with had such a bad attitude. Overall, I would recommend this RIU Palace Kukulklan.

This was me and my husband’s first time in Cancun. This Riu hotel has really nice interiors, beach is very clean, and the pools all have views to the sea which we loved. The service was great, everyone had a smile on their faces and were eager to please. Loved the entertainment they provided all day long. During the day they have multiple games and activities. During the night they have ldifferent live shows that we enjoyed a lot. The negatives we found that aren’t that bad honestly are that the dining options were average. You have 6 restaurants to choose from. Italian, asian, mexican, seafood, steak house, elite club members restaurant, and the open buffet section. We personally liked the italian and steakhouse the best. At night starting from 11am they have a small buffet area in the lobby where you can build your own burger, hotdog, and nacho plate. That buffet was teribble in my opinion. We don’t drink alcohol so not sure how good they were but their virgin drinks were not good. The rooms bed sheets are so thin we literally would be freezing all night and could not tolerate the heat and humidity if we turned off the ac for literally just a few minutes. Would we come back? Probably not but just cause we know there is more and better options to explore.

I liked the lusciousness of the grounds. I don’t like our initial customer service as we didn’t get any information about dining options, holiday festivities. Yes, we used the app but the personal touch goes a long way.

Warm, welcoming, and festive. Polite and enthusiastic staff, good food and drinks with lots of choices. Very appreciative of families. Entertainment staff were very energetic. Asian restaurant’s food delivery to table can be improved. Overall it was a wonderful experience.

The property was well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The RIU Palace Kukulkan was great. Very clean and attentive staff. Ruby at the Elite pool was very friendly and took great care of us. Areas for improvement would be the onsite entertainment although this is not a “party resort” would have been nice to have karaoke or a silent party especially on nights where the weather prevented most from going off property. Food was good and offered nice variety would give the resort overall an 8 out of 10

We have used other RIU facilities in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Vallarta, however, the facility in Cancun has been the best of all. Staff, food, location, entertainment etc.

Hotel Riu Palace Kukulkan has excellent 24x7 service and take care of your needs within minutes, very good and always helpful & smiling staff. There are lots of activities within the resort including nightly performances. Food and in-room service is also great. They have good food options across their restaurants, the desserts could be slightly improved. Very neat pools and beach areas. Overall an very excellent resort and extremely happy staying at the property.

Stay was amazing at this all inclusive. Service was top notch! Bars were excellent and offered many options. Buffet was 5/5. Other restaurants 3/5. Steakhouse was 1/5! Quality of cuts of beef was terrible. Very long wait without reservations. Pools very lively & enjoyable. Beaches very clean and peaceful. No late night entertainment after 11pm sadly. RIU party at sister resort was awesome! Plenty of shopping walking distance!

The resort itself was very nice and clean. Several restaurants to choose from and the pool areas were great! Only complaint is the lack of guest entertainment. They need some more options during the daytime and way more things to do in the evenings.

Our stay was incredible. We stayed in a jr suite with ocean view. The staff was kind and attentive. The food was always fresh and with much variety. I look forward to the day I come back!

Smaller than other expected and compared to other hotels. Less value for the price. Have to take transportation to/from the pool parties, and wait for it. Hotel staff are friendly, but most are clearly working for extra tips instead of true friendliness. Unlike other Riu's, the Animation team is not present at night encouraging people to dance.

We've stayed at the Riu Las Americas & Riu Cancun before and this one was by far my favorite. A mixture of fun activities but also some R&R. Of course, always friendly staff and constantly cleaning. Walking distance to the shopping mall. The buffet was AMAZING in comparison to the sister resorts. We chose to eat at the buffet more than the restaurants because the steak house was just ok. But my BIL said the Italian restaurant was really good.

Only draw back is the beds are extremely hard and uncomfortable.

Nice property. 5th stay at RIU

I booked this trip for my fiancè and I to celebrate our engagement and from the beginning it was a nightmare. My package was supposed to be for 2 people (flight and resort) but my room was only booked for 1 person! When I get there the “customer service” charged me $800 to add my fiancè to my room. While trying to enjoy my stay I was given attitude from several employees who hate their job. The restaurants are TERRIBLE! To top it off when I was checking out they charged me an additional $200 fee because my fiancè had to much to drink at their unlimited drinks party and threw up. I have never had such a bad experience with any resort or hotel! DO NOT STAY HERE there are way better properties you can choose from! TRUST ME
