Relaxing

A very comfortable overnight stay with secure underground parking and good restaurant. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. Our bedroom and bathroom were spotless .

No air conditioning in the room was a major problem with 36C outside the chance for a good sleep was limited. The restaurant was traditional but no veggie food would have been a problem if there were no options locally.

It is a great location, with easy access to the city center. The hotel is very clean and comfortable, with an excellent breakfast, and good bar. The only problem was that it was very hot, and there was no air conditioning in the rooms.

Old fashioned

The gentleman on reception was fantastic! The restaurant was not so fantastic. The choice for gluten free was no choice at all. The waitress tried though. The place is rather old fashioned and I am puzzled as to how it received an 'excellent' rating o Hotels.com

Really great stay at Hotel Rio. I was really impressed by the staff, rooms and amenities. Having stayed at other nice hotels in Karlsruhe, I found this to be a tiny step above.

Best place to stay in Karlsruhe

Hotel is in a very central location with underground garage for about 30 cars very handy in Karlsruhe. The breakfast buffet offers a very large choice and the coffee is very good. I can highly recommend that Hotel and will stay there the next time.

Pleasant business stay.

A pleasant experience overall. The public areas were very outdated, the bedrooms a little less so but an overall facelift for this property would result in higher scores across the board. The daytime staff were all pleasant as was the night porter but he had no English at all.

Not Recommended - Overrated

Bit distorting infor- very long walk from the main station. No Air conditioning or fan in the room. They do load the fridge with cold drinks hoping for guests to drink heaps in the humid weather. I had an uncomfortable sleep. Bed made creaking noise every time I moved. Staff were good though. 70€ for a single room was a waste of money. I moved to a 4 bed hostel the next day, paid 21€ and had a good sleep.

Very modern and luxury hotel with excellent reception staff.

We loved this hotel. It is beautiful and clean. I am not sure what the mattresses are, but they are truly the most comfortable I have ever slept on; I wanted to take the mattress with me. The room we had was gorgeous. The staff was incredibly gracious, and luckily, we worked with Ulla much of the time: she could not have been more helpful. The breakfast buffet was the best we experienced in Germany - the variety was amazing. The servers were so cheerful. We ate dinner there twice. The first night was excellent, but on the second, I believe we were served leftovers. That would be my only complaint for an otherwise perfect experience.

would not give this place 4 stars. after a long trip we wanted to relax and eat but were told the restarant was closed as it was a friday ! its a business hotel... only one towel in the room despite them knowing there were two of us and we were also shunted off to the hotel accross the road. completly over priced and too expensive for what it was. our last night of holiday was a real sad one spent here.

Lovely room, great bathroom with quality fittings. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but found a great place to eat not far away.

Zimmer war geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Alles war sauber. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Frühstücksbuffet war hervorragend, alles was man erwartet und noch ein paar leckere Extras. Alles wurde regelmäßig aufgefüllt und das Personal war aufmerksam.

Hotel heeft tmaar 1 minpuntje... Geen airconditioning... En dat in augustus. Voor de rest, alles is super netjes, ruime kamer (comfort), gratis parkeren, ontbijtbuffet à € 9,- p.p. Schloss Karlsruhe op loopafstand, onderweg kom je diverse overheidsgebouwen (gerecht) tegen. Rewe supermarkt op nog geen 100 meter afstand.

Wir sind Stammgäste und übernachten gerne in diesem Haus. Freundliches Personal, saubere und ruhige Zimmer, gute Umgebung und wenige Gehminuten zur Fussgängerzone. Eine Tiefgarage wird vorgehalten mit gutem Tagestarif.

Das RIO Hotel ist ein Hotel zum wohlfühlen. Wir hatten ein renovieres Zimmer mit sehr schönem Bad. Gerne wieder. 👍 E-Autos sollten einen Parkplatz reservieren. Rezeption ist sehr freundlich. Zimmer ab 14 Uhr frei.

Highly recommend this hotel! Large room, quiet, modern, good facilities, good beds, impressive lobby, professional staff. A small minus (just to come up with something) was a pedestrian crossing over a busy intersection where you often had to wait a while for a green light on the way to the city center that beginns 200 meters from the hotel.

Zentral gelegen in einer ruhigen Seitenstraße. Großes Zimmer mit einem bequemen Bett und einem modernen Badezimmer. Super leckeres Frühstücksbuffet, große Auswahl- insgesamt hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Das Hotel hat uns uneingeschränkt überzeugt!

Toller Aufenthalt

Ganz tolles Hotel in der Nähe zur Innenstadt. Komfortables Hotel und das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir haben bei unseren Aufenthalt ein Upgrade erhalten, deshalb haben wir uns entschieden eine Nacht zusätzlich zu buchen. Leider konnten wir dies dann nicht mehr über Hotel.com machen. Die Innenstadt ist schnell in 10 min zu erreichen und eine italienische Gaststätte mit sehr tollen Angeboten ist auch gleich in der Nachbarschaft. In Karlsruhe bleibt das unsere 1. Adresse.
