TravellerIt's a amazing place to stay in Kathmandu Thamel. I stay at Rest Up for few days during the lockdown time. It's clean, staff are awesome, nice terrace. Gopi the manager of hostel is super friendly and so helpful. Plus point is they have travel desk and they organized tour and treks. Highly recommend this place to stay in Kathmandu and don't forget to meet Gopi.
TravellerIf you have extra change stay somewhere else
Alright place for a night if you are perhaps transiting. Otherwise, I would recommend you stay somewhere else on that same street. The toilets were basically converted from eastern style to western style without increasing the dimensions of the space. If you are taller than 5’ 9” then you are going to struggle fitting in the stall. Sinks often just clogged and staff didn’t really pay attention to it till about 36 hours later. When the clogs were fixed, the funk causing the stoppage was just spread on the ground near the sink. The sheets and quilt covers didn’t seem like they were washed often, or even after every use. Good area to stay in, though. The terrace cafe is also a solid spot to hang out.
