Comfortable stay in Venice

Mario was an excellent host. He kept in contact with us before arriving with recommendations about things to do. We kept in touch about our arrival timeline and he was very accomodating and informative. On arrival we were met at the B&B by Mario and given recommendations about restaurants in the area. We were able to drop off our luggage since we were arriving earlier than check in and it was brought to our rooms when they were ready. We stayed one night and found the rooms clean and comfortable. The B&B was in a good location. Close to many restaurants and popular attractions. It was also only 15-20 walk from the train station. Breakfast was good and appreciated. We would recommend staying here on your trip to Venice.

This was an excellent choice for Venice as it is located in a quieter spot away from most of the crowds. That said, it was easy and convenient to walk to all the major attractions, there is a vaparetto stop nearby, a gondola-style ferry, and some really good restaurants close at hand. We chose to walk from the train station--about 16 minutes through a quiet, residential area. Mario was an amazing host. Unfortunately our departure schedule did not allow us to meet Esmeralda. The hosts asked our preferences for croissant flavors and fillings at check-in and picked them up fresh for us for breakfast the next morning. Some rooms share a bathroom with one other room, as ours did, and some have their own, so be sure to check if this concerns you. Honestly, this was not a difficult situation at all as the house is small with only a few guests at a time.The home was recently updated and very comfortable. Most bedrooms are up one flight of stairs (the norm for Venice), and very convenient. Wonderful hosts, comfortable, clean home, good location. It's hard to find any fault here. Enjoy it!

Great

Central but serene location

This B&B was the perfect location to rest at night during days filled with touring Venice. Some notes: -The style is a little vintage and kitschy but very clean and comfortable. -We found the address was very easy to locate! Tip: 2325 is *next to* 2326, where in the US address style you would be looking across. (Just look at every door, you will be fine!) -Luckily the hotel is not on a main tourist footpath. So you won't hear loud noises from the street. -Our host Mario was very kind, accommodating, and himself very interesting. Travelers will be lucky to not miss a chance to speak with him!

Very good, traditional and personalised B B service. The owners are lovely and very helpful if you want to know anything about Venice. Unique heritage property. Comfortable rooms, very clean. In a quiet street, close to everything. We enjoyed our few days in Venice and hope to return.

The couple who own the property are very good hosts. They have us lots of tips on how to het around, places to visit and local restaurants too. This property is in an ideal location for walking around Venice.

Very nice hospitality!

My family and I thought the owners Mario and Esmeralda were very helpful and provided loads of information about the local area including where to eat and sites to see. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and we all slept well as it’s in a quiet area of the city. The location was good for getting around to the many sites. The breakfast was tasty, but my husband would suggest offering some cheese and cold meats too for those who are less keen on croissants. Overall this was a lovely B and B and we would highly recommend it.

Our stay at Mario’s bed and breakfast was lovely. We were promptly greeted at the door with keys to our room. Mario took time explaining how we should best see Venice within our short 2 night stay, providing maps and recommendations. He made sure we had something to eat before our early train ride on our last morning. Location was walking distance to everything you could need or want to see! Clean, neat and rooms with charm!

It was a great location with easy access to everything. It was quiet and very comfortable. Our host even helped us to get to the train station when we left, amazing. Breakfast was very nice. We would stay there again.

We really appreciate Mario gave us the tour guide information. That’s very helpful. Since we leave earlier the next day Mario even packed breakfast for us. The experience staying this B&B was very enjoyable.

Mario was AMAZING! When I first arrived I got a little lost trying to find the facility. He came in the rain and found me. He was extremely helpful providing a map, and writing down instructions on where I needed to go, along with the water bus locations and times. He kept in communication before & during my stay. He’s very patient and kind.

Mario and Esmerelda were wonderful hosts! Even though we missed our connection and came in much later than expected, Mario met us and immediately welcomed us and gave us a lot of information about Venice, even though it was after 10pm. The hosts were very communicative via WhatsApp prior to our stay as well. Every morning, they put together a nice breakfast (croissant, yogurt, juices, coffee). The room itself was more than sufficient for a 3-day stay in Venice - had a shower, locking wardrobe, several outlets to charge electronics. Bed was comfortable and room was cleaned daily. Even though we stayed on the ground floor, noise was manageable and we felt safe and had good privacy. The B&B is about 10 minutes from the Rialto Bridge, very accessible by boat from the airport, and only 20 minutes or so from the Venice St. Lucia train station and Piazzale Roma. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our stay. The location was a wonderful place to base a stay in Venice as it was quiet yet very walkable to everything we wanted to do. Our hosts Esmeralda and Mario were so very helpful in providing us with a self-guided walking tour they designed themselves and provided a lovely welcome and breakfast each morning. Our room was comfortable and lovely.

It is as advertised an old quaint premises. It is very hard to find even with Google maps as on a narrow pedestrian walkway. There was a fly in the room when we went to bed and both of us had bites the next day which took a few days to clear . Breakfast is unusual the owner brings in a few fresh croissants with coffee and juice

Soon after booking, we were contacted by the owner to give us information on how to get to the B&B, as well as the options and prices to get from the airport. Very friendly, with restaurant and sight seeing recommendations. He even loaned us an umbrella so we could explore until our room was ready. The location is just out of the busy tourist area, and is surrounded by little restaurants, shops and squares to relax in and enjoy a drink. Lovely!

Mario and Esmeralda were both so kind and welcoming they made our (short) stay incredibly enjoyable.

A wonderful quaint B&B. Tucked away in a quiet ally and a short walking distance from S.STE water bus station. San Marco is 15 min walk, Rialto about 8 and you can walk anywhere. Esmeralda and Mario kept constant communication and were extremely responsive. As we arrived, Esmeralda met us at the dock, explained everything, gave us great tips and suggestions tailored to our short stay. She and her husband are kind, and amazing people. The room we got was on the first floor and had everything we needed including a private bathroom. The place was clean, has comfy beds and quiet. Breakfast was continental, fresh and sufficient. On the day of our departure, they held our luggage after checkout hours, so that we would be able to enjoy Venice until our train arrives. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, centrally located apartment you will not regret it. Highly recommended.

Our host was top notch! He has been communicating with us and answering questions since the day we booked. It is very easy to reach via water boat and we were given specific instructions on how to get there. The room was lovely and the breakfast was delightful. We would highly recommend!

Mario was very welcoming and made our stay very comfortable! The room was clean and spacious. The hotel is located very centrally and was an all-round lovely place to stay! Would definitely recommend.

The host and hostess of this property were extraordinary. We arrived late in the evening and the hostess offered to meet us at the boat. She kept in close contact with us via Whatsapp. When we arrived we were presented with an overall map of the area, points of interest, and an itinerary if we chose to follow it. The air conditioning was very cold and there was plenty of hot water. We were close to the center of town so it was a five minute walk from our boat, and a short walk to the famous Rialto bridge. We look forward to our visit next year.

Great location and amazing host, Elena was so sweet and nice, helping with every thing and anything we needed, places to eat, what yo visit etc. Very clean room, delicious breakfast. I cannot think of anything to be better. It was so far the best B&B out of 6 in Italy in different cities we visited during our trip.

Very friendly staff. 5-6 min walking distance to every major places. We were provided a map and suggested walk through route guidance. The room (3 adults) was big enough and clean. I highly recommend this place.

The couple who run this B&B are very helpful. He is Venetian. She gave us a map that outlined sites she felt visitors would enjoy. They were always very helpful with every question we had. Everyone should understand that part of visiting Venice this time of year is dealing with crowds. Getting lost and trying to find your way around is also part of the experience. Instead of getting frustrated, we just got on the vaporetto to find our way back. Her directions on finding the house from the vaporetto were always a big help during our stay.

Great for a family of 4 for a short trip

A perfect room for a family of four (2 very tall teenagers!) in the heart of Venice. A nice friendly welcome with lots of information before arriving and on arrival. Room was spotless and plenty space between the beds - everything we needed for a short stay. Great recommendation for a close by restaurant too that we visited and really enjoyed. Easy to walk to the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square - lots of lovely wee streets to wander through. A nice breakfast in the morning and able to store our bags if needed. Would highly recommend for a reasonably priced night or two for a family of 4.

Loved this place

We stayed in a really cute room, it was so light and airy i loved it. We opted for a shared bathroom which we didnt find to be a problem at all. Felt very at home and the owner (didnt catch his name) was really friendly and welcoming. He gave us good recommendations too. We'd definitely come back. 10/10 thanks again!

Quiet neighborhood in Venice

The owner was very nice and helpful. He gave good recommendations for transportation, restaurants, etc. We had a nice breakfast there the first morning. The location is in a quiet neighborhood. Accommodations are adequate.

The host was amazing!! She went above and beyond to explain the best ways to travel around Venice and to give us recommendations for dining. They also had a very nice continental breakfast for us in the morning.

Wonderful B&B

We loved our stay here! It is run by a lovely couple that seem to really enjoy having guests. Upon arrival we were given our choice of fresh juice and a great introduction to Venice. They gave us a map and a recommended itinerary that we referenced several times. Esmeralda & Mario also gave us thorough directions for the best transport to the airport and ways to visit Murano. The location is great and the breakfast was perfect.

I booked last minute and the owner was able to meet us at the property. Check in was easy. The bedroom was nice and clean, along with the bathroom and there were towels. Also there was tv with cable, ac (did not turn on) and a fan. If i come back def will return.

Esmeralda and Mario are extremely welcoming and kind. They mastered the art of hospitality! They gave us excellent guidance for the city and helped us to plan our time efficiently. We truly appreciate their hospitality and will definitely come back.

We stayed in this property for 2 days. It's in the quieter area of Venice but close to major attractions. Mario as a host of this property is one of the nicest person I have ever met. He gives important details about Venice which will be very helpful to a new visitor.

What a great overnight stay in Venice in such an exceptional location for exploring the city. The communication from Marco was first class and the property was excellent with a great host. The breakfast was nice and local restaurant recommendation was superb. Walkable to the major sights and close enough to the transport hub to arrive on foot. This was my 3rd visit to Venice and as it is an old city with old buildings, you must rate it by its own standards. I really wanted to stay in the heart of Venice, and that is why I chose this place. Mario & Esmeralda run a clean, efficient and friendly little B&B. The continental breakfast area is small (having it in your room is an option) but it was fine for the 3 of us. The beds were new and comfy, which was greatly appreciated after a long day sightseeing. As it is a B&B, there is no elevator or lobby, but rooms are private with your own bathroom and locking doors like a hotel room. We appreciated the city orientation and sightseeing suggestions Esmeralda gave us upon arrival, as Venice can be confusing to navigate. We all enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely B&B property. We had a room on 2nd floor with shared bathroom. Room was spacious, very clean, and well appointed. Hosts were very helpful with specific directions on easiest way to travel to the property…also with ideas about things to do and how to get there. I would book here again and recommend to friends.

EXCELLENT experience! The hosts Esmeralda and Mario are EXTREMELY friendly and helpful. They reached out to me shortly after booking our stay with options on how to get from the airport to the hotel. We arrived after the sun set and Mario met us at the boat dock to lead us to the hotel. It probably would have taken us 5 times as long had it not been for that. It’s not easy to find if you’re not familiar with the area. At breakfast Mario gave us restaurant and site recommendations which were all excellent. The only slightly negative would be the shower was small but I expect that is the case with all of Venice. Thank you Mario and Esmeralda for a wonderful experience.

The hosts were very warm, welcoming and extremely helpful. Their recommendations for dining options around the property turned out to be some of the best places we dined in Venice. The hosts ensured our stay was comfortable. It was great to have breakfast included and the choices were very good. The only reasons why our rating is 4 is because of the very small bathroom, especially the shower which barely had standing space for an adult, and some dampness around the external walls and windows.

We spend only one night, but it was enjoyable. Comfy bed and really clean place. I would definitely recommend. Breakfast was good too.

Great b&b and excellent host

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Esmalda is a great host and gave us insight about Venice that only a local can, along with stories from her time in this amazing town. The location is very convenient, being very close to one of the bridges on the grand canal, boat docks with service to the airport and elsewhere, and many restaurants and shops. It is also only a short <20 min walk away from the train station.

Really great place to stay

Very nice place in the middle of Venice. The place is an Bed & Breakfast inside a authentic Venice house. Hosts are very kind and the breakfast very rich. The room was spacious and spotless, and the service was really good.

The property doesn’t have the sign of their name but the owner was really nice to give the guidance hot to reach the property and the room was so clean only you need to share the bathroom with other people. I like the cleanness of the room and the owner was really nice and helpful.

48 Hours in Venice

Mario was a great host and the B&B stay was exactly as advertised. The location is situated close enough to the popular sites, but off the beaten path enough to get away from the noise and traffic. The WIFI is a decent speed, the room is cleaned daily (the maid even folded our clothes). The provided breakfast is light, but enough to start the day. If you're an American like us, don't expect a 'continental'. It's not that. Just bagel, yogurt, juice and coffee. Mario prefers cash for the stay, but if you use the EuroNet cash machine, make you you DECLINE their conversion rate. Overall, we would stay here again. Two days was not enough time.

Wonderful hosts but beware of the noise.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful and communication was fantastic. The room was as expected however we were very disappointed by the noise. We are not usually disturbed by noise but we were in the downstairs room right next to the entrance and breakfast room. You will get woken by anyone entering and as soon as breakfast syarts getting set up in the morning along with any other guests having their breakfast. Such a shame as location and hosts fantatsic but feels overpriced for our experience.

It’s about a 5-15 minute walk away from the crowds. Owners were so nice and helpful.
