The property is nice and clean and the staff was great! The fresh baked cookies are wonderful! The late night parking is too limited. It is difficult to find spaces to park.

NYE Celebration

We stayed for New Year’s celebration. Stayed here due to location near the casinos. We were very impressed with the hotel and will probably stay here anytime we’re in Lake Charles

Excellent Off Casino Property in Lake Charles!!!

Went here for a stay during the Christmas/New Years holidays to spend some time at the casino with my wife. We wanted to stay off of the casino properties to save a little money. This place was excellent, clean, comfortable, and spacious and it did not dissappoint. Very quite and very little disruption. The hotel was as advertised and we had everything we needed. We forgot toothpaste, and they even had complimentary toothpaste available at the front desk. I woudl easily stay here again without hesitation.

Best hotel experience in Lake Charles!

Absolutely the BEST hotel I’ve ever stayed in Lake Charles! Loved it. Very CLEAN, very friendly concierge and hotel staff. Hot breakfast. The non-smoking rooms didn’t smell like smoke, as so many do! Most definitely staying there again!

the receptionist that greeted us that night was super friendly which is helpful anytime but especially when you come in very late and you're very tired. The room was clean and updated. The bathroom was updated as well. I would stay here again, the proximity to businesses, the casinos and highway were all ideal. Only thing I didn't like was how tight the parking lot was and the back of the hotel should be more lit.

Hotel was very clean. Even the elevator smelled clean haha. Rooms were very clean. Had minor issue with the foot bench in the shower being unstable but nothing major. Bed was extremely comfortable and could not hear any traffic or neighbors or hallway noise. Very good stay!

We enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious, and very clean. If we are in Lake Charles again, we will definitely book another stay with the Residence Inn.

A tale of 4 dirty rooms and 1 clean room

We arrived at night, wanted to drop off our stuff and go out. Little did we know we would have to go to 4 dirty rooms before finally getting to a clean one, 45 minutes later. The 1st room had already been used as the previous guest had complained of the toilet not working and was moved into another room but the front desk mistakenly put us in it. So we obviously request another room and get one on the 4th floor. We arrive to the 4th floor to be greeted by a big, full, trash bag when the elevator doors opened. Still we proceeded to our room and when we went in, the ac was off, the bathroom sink covered in hair and we pulled the comforter off to discover more hair. We call the front desk again, they apologize and come up to the 4th floor to find us another room. We get taken to 2 more rooms, including a suite and find hair again in the beds. After all this, we request to see a room not on the 4th floor and we get a room on the 3rd floor. The next day, the manager interrupts our breakfast to apologize for the rooms and offers us 15k reward points. We request 20k points and get told she will discuss with general manager. Days later of back and forth calls, the general manager rudely tells us no points are being offered. We will not be returning to this hotel as there are other, cleaner options with professional staff.

Great option for people with dogs. Not a lot of green space but enough for potty time. Everyone was very friendly and the room was very clean.

We had 1 issue with there being trash from the previous guest in our room upon check in. I called to the front desk and housekeeping was on the 6th flr at my door in less than 5mins. I was impressed with the quick response, but received the service I expected at Residence Inn the reason I stay at their properties when I get a chance.

Our stay was fantastic. We had our two young kids with us for a family wedding. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and personable - even remembering our name and asking how the wedding was when we returned!

Disappointed

I was disappointed that the air conditioner had a governor on it and could not go lower than 70 degrees and was even warmer overnight. We spent the night away to get a good night sleep with no responsibility and that did not happen. The morning came and there was no creamer for the coffee in the room. Check out was 12pm. Maid service was knocking on the door at a very bad time at 10:15am, we let her know we were still in the room. 10 minutes later she was knocking again wanting to clean the room and again I let her know we were still in the room. We will not stay there again.

Great hotel

I would have given this review a fabulous rating. Normally I love their desk staff, kitchen staff, housekeeping staff, management … in fact, I feel they are the best in the area. Everything was perfect this time until checkout. Last Friday at about 10:30, I checked out as usual. Due to the fact I have had hotel items taken from my room after I had checked out, I prefer to make sure I am checked out when I leave a hotel. The lady at the desk was on the phone with someone wanting a rate.I waited. After about 5 minutes, she put the person on hold and I told her I was checking out and handed her my card. She rolled her eyes and put the card in the card with the other self checkout cards. I left and put my luggage in the car. I then came back. She was on the phone. I talked with another guest (who eventually left after he said he didn’t have time), I thanked the kitchen staff (they truly are great), and a little over 10 minutes later she put the person on hold. I asked her if she would check me out and explained why, and she (seeming quite irritated with my request), told me she would after she got off the phone. This is not normal for this hotel, but it left me frustrated. Hopefully, she was just having a bad day and this wasn’t her normal encounter with a guest.

This was the fourth hotel I have stayed in while my home is being repaired. Of the four, this was the best. Room was spacious, well laid out, and full kitchen was great for an extended stay. Full breakfast is up and running and very satisfying.

Lobby looked amazing. Rooms are big in size however, not very clean. Hotel does not clean the room or remove trash from rooms due to COVID. Constantly asking for supplies. Hotel is locked at night for safety of the guests. Just wish it was cleaner upon arrival.

I have stayed at this hotel several times. It’s nice, comfortable and convenient. Parking can be an issue if you don’t get there early.

The rooms never got below 70, the bathroom was probably closer to 80. No breakfast, and about half the time there was no coffee in the morning.

We had a satisfying stay. The location was very clean. Felt safe with mask recommendations. Staff was very nice. Didnt care for grab bag breakfast choices , but the idea was good. The hotel was full so parking was hard. Great location for restaurants and shopping. Would definitely stay again and recommend for business and pleasure.

We love this location and have stayed here twice in the last 2 months but the card reader on the side door has been broken since our first stay maybe longer, which made it very inconvenient to get to our room. I asked about the repair both times and was just brushed off. Also there are never any bags in the doggie area.

The first night we arrived we were placed in a room that had a backed up dishwasher and we could not use the kitchen sink because the dishwasher would overflow. There was no shower door. The thermostat did not work on heat, it blew cold air so we turned off the system to stay comfortable during the night. A staff member came in after we checked in and said the garbage disposal needed to be replaced and used a shop vac to remove the overflowing water. A staff member came by the next morning and moved us to another room for the second night.The next morning I went to the front desk and asked for a discount for the next trip; she could not do that until she spoke to her manager on Monday and because we booked through this booking site.

Beautiful clean room it’s a mini house. Everything you have at home. Fridge. Microwave. Stove. dishwasher. very comfortable huge bed. Clean towels and sheets. About 1 mile away from the casino. Delicious free breakfast. Eggs, waffles, ham, biscuits and gravy, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt, coffee, plus more. All at a great price. Will stay here from now on.

Hotel wasn’t prepared for our arrival, issue swith our room , AC not working, placed in a 2nd room only to find out that room was under repairs. Moved to room #3, lamp not working & one of the kitchen bulbs was not working. Never again!!!!

Rooms are very spacious. We had a suite and were comfortable with the 6 of us. Staff was very sweet.

We thought that we left my purse in the room and the hotel staff went above and beyond to locate my purse. They checked trash shoots and everywhere I thought I could have left it. We realized my friend grabbed it for me later.

Dusty, not stocked, just ok.

The room was generally not very clean. Lots of dust, and the bathroom and kitchen floors could use a good mopping. There was debris in the dishwasher. Also, even though there was a cooktop, there were NO pots to use. We asked for them twice, and no one brought us any. Also, the sink in the kitchen kept backing up and holding water.

Go to the Staybridge it is much nicer!!!!!

Made reservation weeks in advance and arrived for a 2-night stay for our son's wedding. Room air conditioning was not working. Called desk, an hour later, Mgr. Ben came and confirmed not working. An hour later and the maintenance man shows up. We explain we have to leave for Rehearsal dinner which we catered ourselves. When we return 9:30 pm, the same temperature as when we left. Call front desk Brenda says maintenance man busy but she will let him know. 30min later, go to the front desk. Brenda explains she contacted maintenance man and he stated that he cannot do anything else to repair. Brenda states they have no other rooms available and nothing else she can do. 10:30 pm after an exhausting day we have to move all our wedding stuff and food out and find another hotel. No offer to do anything except not to charge me. Then I had to go back and call numerous times to receive a no charge invoice. A complete nightmare, I will not be staying at a Marriott property again. We were also the reason that a number of the rooms were booked as we had told many family members where we would be staying. Very upset and have yet to hear from anyone in management with an apology or an offer to make right.

Wonderful breakfast options, great location but the hardest most uncomfortable beds ever! Front desk said they're hoping to replace mattresses soon...i hope so, if so we'll be back, otherwise it was a rough night with little sleep.

No Need to Look Anywhere Else!

My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Lake Charles Marriot. The room was superb...adequate space, comfortable, super for extended stay with all utensils needed. The only problem was that we had to leave. It was like having a high class studio apartment. We were glad to come “home” and hated to leave. It was “pinch yourself” kind of accommodations. The staff especially the dining lady, Jennifer, made the stay so fun and friendly. Loved our stay.

Spacious, relatively new hotel and close to casinos. Odd numbered rooms face interstate and tends to be a little noisy. Overall a good nights stay

Everything was great except that we had a room closest to the interstate on the end of the hotel and it was VERY noisy. If we stay there again, we’ll request a room on the opposite side from the interstate and in the middle of the hotel. Other than that it was a nice, newer hotel.

we were put in a handicap room where there was no bath tub, handicap shower, water all in bathroom floor after you took a shower, not good.

Quite comfortable stay.

Staff was friendly. Bed comfortable. Shower curtain needed attended to. I told the front desk to let the cleaning staff know. She was very apologetic and said she would get it taken care of. Overall good quite stay. Shuttle runs to Casinos until 1am which was nice. Slept in did not try breakfast.
