Its was very nice, GREAT breakfast

The room was very nice, spacious and very clean. The staff was professional and helpful. My husband and I were happy with our stay. I would recommend this hotel to family and friends.

Would stay there again without a thought!

Room was excellent, service impeccable! The only issues we had were the body wash had not been replenished and the kitchenette sink smelled until we flushed it with soap and water. All three of us would stay there again without a thought!

We stayed in this hotel for two weeks. The experience was excellent. All the staff were so nice with us and our dogs, they exceed our expectations. Thanks specially to Carlos and Byron.

Not many restaurants close to motel but downtown was only 20 minute walk with hundreds. pleasant, safe area, only small negative was a squeaky bed.

The room was totally over my expectation. The picture does not look that good but actually the room was renovated, clean and modern. Front desk and hotel staff are super nice and helpful. The hotel offers free shuttle to downtown river walk and the marketplace. They even asked if we need shuttle to airport. My family definitely enjoyed staying at the hotel!

I found a dead cockroach under my sink and I reported to front desk at 10 am. This was Dec 18th. The guy at the front desk was clearly bothered with my request When I got back at 11pm at night, it was still there. I cannot express my frustration. Terrible service, I won’t be back to any Marriott

I loved that it gave me a good mixture of a hotel and bnb stay. I could either make breakfast myself in my full kitchen or go to breakfast in the main building. The shuttle down to the Riverwalk and back was also great.

The 1-room suite was advertised with an oven. That isn't true. The studio has an oven. The description needs to be updated.

Excellent accommodations. Very clean, updated rooms.the staff was very friendly and helpful, as it was in all of San Antonio. We were there four nights, and were surprised to have housekeeping come to clean our room and change bedding after two nights…haven’t seen that service since before COVID. Breakfast had a great variety and was delicious everyday. We were planning to walk a lot, but since record setting heat while we were there, we’re so happy to use the free shuttle to the river and back. Would recommend and stay again!

Family vacation

The staff here were wonderful. Carlos at the front desk was amazing. Breakfast was more than adequate with sausage eggs waffles fruit oatmeal yogurt milk juices etc. The hotel is undergoing renovations but didn’t bother us. We had a two bedroom suite that had a full kitchen which was very helpful when traveling with an infant. The room was a little worn but the beds were quite comfy. We had a problem with the ac in one room but maintenance came right away to fix it. This is a non smoking property but they do provide outdoor smoking areas. Security is on property and we enjoyed visiting with one of the officers. Will was very informative and helpful. Pool was closed the last day of our visit but maintenance was on it. Overall a great stay.

Vacay in a beautiful setting

The room was very nice and spacious. We were thankful for the snow white towels and sheets. Breakfast was good and had a good variety and the employees were verry helpful. The shuttle to downtown was a plus.

Very friendly and welcoming front desk

Staff and service were top notch; very friendly, fast and happy! Great room and amenities. The only area for slight improvement would be cleanliness of surface areas... Table/desk in room could have been wiped better and table we sat at in breakfast area hadn't been wiped upon arrival. We were the first there upon opening of daily breakfast. Minor points and they would not deter me from staying here again. Residence Inn is always a reliable go to!!

Good place

Nothing worked in the hotel room. BasicallY we wasted our money, stove was broke, sink was clogged, saw a roach. This was ridiculous

2nd time really traveling alone and staying here, and I can vouch and say the staff are really cool and friendly for the most part and checking in and out are easy and fast. The rooms feel really spacious and open to almost feel like a small home and apartment that brings a sense of comfort to the stay as well as the complimentary morning breakfasts being pretty good. I plan on going and staying here everytime I come back and expect to have a really good time still while in San Antonio. 10/10 would recommend again

Great downtown San Antonio hotel

Stayed one night on our way home from vacation. The location was great. It’s real close to the historic market square, Alamo and the Riverwalk. The front desk manager Donald checked us in and was very friendly. We stayed in one of the two room suites and it was very nice. Restrooms appeared to be recently renovated. Great workout room & basketball court. Outdoor pool was a little small. Good old fashioned continental breakfast with the make your on waffle bar. Kids loved the lemonade and cookies served in the afternoon in the lobby. While this is no 5 star hotel, I’m giving it 5 stars for the value you get at this price point. Overall, this was a great hotel and I would recommend it for a family.

We were appalled with one of the customer service reps the young one that works swing shift until 11pm for accusing us of making a big mess out in the courtyard by bbq area . Not something he should even ask a guest

The staff are all very friendly, The hotel is clean but needs to be updated! The breakfast is good! The hotel has a shuttle and will take you to the Riverwalk and Market Square as well as other locations upon request.

They were very quick to respond and fix a couple of bathroom issues that were present when we got to our room.

The staff and our family definitely had a language barrier between us. The facility was clean, however, definitely in need of repairs The television in our room didn't even work. When we let the staff know, nothing was offered or handled, due to the fact that the staff we spoke with couldn't speak English.

Pros: Staff were friendly. Everything was clean. Loved pool/ hottub area. Breakfast was ok. Room- Bed was comfortable. Lots of room and kitchen was handy. Cons: needed room carpet updates with extra padding, could hear people above walking around. Door closes loud. Would prefer hand held shower. With no car a bit far from most restaurants. Had 2 shuttle drop offs. Uber works.

Great stay and amazing quality rooms with awesome staff at front desk

Not bad but a little dated.

Check in was great and smooth. They had a shuttle that picked us up from the airport. Our room was a suite and it was spacious. It was a little outdated and the floor had some dead spots so it created a slight dent. The hot tub and breakfast were nice.

Residence Inn says they will pick up from the airport. We set up the pick up. When we arrived, a half hour before pick up time I received an email saying there were ‘technical difficulties’ and they would not be able to pick us up. There was no mention of reimbursement for an Uber or arrangements for a different way to get there. The hot tub was closed and dirty. The toilet in my room did not work and ran all night. I asked for a repair and went out for the day. When I got back, the handle was so tight, it would barely flush and the toilet ran every 9 minutes refilling. Again I asked for a repair and went out the next day. Toilet continued to run the entire time I was there, although it was every 20-30 min. it was a frustrating stay, I expected more out of a Residence Inn.

Overall its a good stay., just a little disappointed that there isn't any water bottles or house keeping done every day. No water bottles even the checked in day.. No house keeping after checkin but when asked they would give extra towels but for a marriot I expected more.

I didn’t like the fact you can actually hear the person above your bedroom walking in their bedroom. I was told by management that there would be a shuttle readily available for our trip to the Alamo Dome… that they would waiting at 5:00… There was no shuttle… but, lots of excuses and plenty of them.😟 For the remainder of our stay, management never once got in touch with us to tell us that a shuttle service would be ready for us When I visited Residence before the reserved dates, I had requested a bedroom downstairs, since I’m a senior. That didn’t happen.Again, excuses, that I had reserved the hotel with Expedia. I told him the management that I had come earlier in the summer to personally request a downstairs bedroom and to check out the accommodations. Breakfast was considerably good and tasty.

My shortened stay at Residence Inn San Antonio

I left this hotel after 1 night of planned 3 night stay. The advertisement had suggested only 8 minute walk to conference center which was not true. The bed was hard and I hardly slept for half the night. I asked about sleeping in another possible room but was told all beds the same. At that point I knew I had to move to another hotel and went to another Marriott. I was not able to get a refund for the next two nights paid for yet as I did not have time to make contact due to business of meeting I was attending. I plan to do so in next day at most. It was disappointing because I have stayed at several other Residence Inns that were quite comfortable.

We stayed for a week pending closing on our house. It was a great 2 bed, 2 bath room that was spacious abd made our week there great.

The staff was outstanding. I cannot say it enough they went beyond to make sure we had a comfortable stay.

WOW

I was shocked at how great this place was. The two bedroom had a full kitchen and there is a mini-HEB just down the street which helped us save money on food. The staff was great, breakfast had a lot of options and it was clean. It's hard to get there right now because of construction but once we figured that out it wasn't a problem. My only critique is that it was hard to get a pickup after we got dropped off on the river walk.

Liked how it was quiet and away from traffic, can’t control the construction, but it wasn’t bad. The shuttle was nice just the times seemed to be off with the front desk, but they worked with us.

Construction around the hotel was a big inconvenience. Also, there was spiders under the comforter sheet when we first arrived.

God is Good

The property was amazing! Beyond beautiful. Comfortable beds, an adorable queen suite, everything looked clean, someone always seemed to be doing something to make things better, the breakfast options were great, and the pool looked beautiful and clean. The negatives, which shouldn’t steer anyone away because it really is a great property. The first was our tub was slippery enough that I slipped on our last day there. So maybe bring a bath mat. Second was the the construction. They are doing construction on their road but I mean really, where weren’t they?

It is affordable and it near to the riverwalk and the market it’s in a good location.

Nice place for economy price

Only issue was somebody dog wouldn't stop barking!!! Other than that, perfect stay!! Very comfortable!!!

My Chemical Romance

The main thing after a 1200-mile trip was the hot tub was needed. We used it the first night. It burned our skin, I really think they used bleach not chlorine in it. I still am covered in red spots all over my body. We told them, and asked them to address it. Checked it two days later, still same thing. So until it is drained no one should use it.

Staff was great!! Property was accommodating, 2 bedroom similar to a plush apartment with a great location.

The staff was lovely, the room and hotel were clean and except for fallen leaves everywhere the grounds were clean. However the room had the worst bed I’ve ever had in a motel. The room was advertised as having a queen bed and it had an extremely worn out double. I was almost completely unable to sleep during the night and woke up very sore.

Birthday Celebration in Historic San Antonio

Great property! Clean lobby and breakfast areas were well maintained. Patio area included tables, bbq grills and hanging lights, also well maintained. Three(3) night stay in a two(2) bedroom suite, with full kitchen. Spacious living room, kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Only criticisms were “no hot water” for showers! Only “lukewarm water” and bathtubs did not “drain” when showers were in use! Also, Mattresses were not comfortable! $10 per day for onsite parking! Great location and HEB Grocery Store was within walking distance!

Great location, walking distance to the Riverwalk, the mall & nice eateries nearby, etc. Staff are friendly & helpful. The place is neat & clean. Complimentary breakfast is good & ample. We like that there is also drinking water dispenser in the fitness room available anytime of the day for guests. Would highly recommend this hotel to family & friends.

The staff is very friendly. Eliza was especially helpful. the room was big with mini kitchen. The pool is very small. If you are expecting to lay around on lounge chairs and swim in a big pool this might not be your place. The surrounding area is so-so. More of an industrial area of the city but is walking distance to Market Square. The Alamo and Riverwalk are only a 5 to 10 minute car ride.

Extremely clean room and property overall. Dated but clean. 1 bedroom suite was very convenient for me n my family. Victoria at front desk was awesome. Other employees need to learn how to treat guest with respect and willingness, the Marriott way.

Overall the customer service was great. Our questions were answered promptly and staff was courteous. My major issue with this property is that they should not be advertising 'Breakfast Included' while booking. I stayed here for 7 nights with my wife and two young children needless to say breakfast is always a big deciding factor while I book longer stays. On first day there was one kind of sliced bread but no butter/cream cheese or margarine. From next day, we never had bread. There was bananas available for 2-3 days out of 7. No other fruit. On one day, they did not have regular coffee. From second day of our stay, we started arranging our own breakfast. Imagine the extra money spent of 4 breakfasts for 6 days. I would suggest this property to just stop serving what they call breakfast so that people may have full information before booking. Overall hotel facilities were good but room carpets need an immediate replacement. Sitting area behind the property is not well manicured.

Nice staff

Needs some remodeling

You really need to do some major remodeling. The carpet was old and torn. You can’t see the television in the living room from all the chairs. You should mount one on the wall and make it turntable. This isn’t the quality of The Residence Inn that I’m used to.

Not good

The beds were uncomfortable, floors had old carpet, sofa had mud from someone’s shoes on them. This place was NOTHING like the same chain I have stayed in before. We received no maid service for 4 days and they were still doing the bagged breakfast, which we ate one day and that was enough.

Just needed a nice room close to freeway and with a kitchen got the King Suit was okay glad they had laundry in hotel

When I reached front desk for check-in, rooms were not ready. They took almost 20 minutes to assign a room which was not ready. After assigning the room I was waiting half an hour to get room cleaned and ready for me. The room was in separate building than hotel reception. This building was not even having coffee. For coffee each time I had to go to main building across the street.

The suite was amazing, and comfortable. The only thing we wish was that the tv was a little more modern.

Great stay not close enough to be in walking distance to Riverwalk, well not for me anyway, but close enough to Uber far enough to not have to pay for parking. It was clean and had all the amenities of home. I was kind of worried as I saw what looked to be teen slumber party about to take place , but I heard nothing ag all I love Residence Inn adding this one to my list.

Bad TV reception

Everything was good except the TV reception was not consistent. I was not able to watch TV.

Quick and easy check in. Front desk clerk was great.

Stay was great. Except for the next day which was check out day. Check out time wasnt till 12pm. We felt rushed because the housekeeping lady just stood there by our door asking when we what time we were leaving. I let her know that we were almost done. She still stood there against the wall, annoyed that we werent gone yet. It was barely going to be 11.

Terrible experience at marriott Hotel

This was a very bad and unconfortable stay at one of the marriott hotels .. for one we had to switch rooms due to the toilet not working ... then the second room bathroom didnt work ... this was not good at all ... didnt get a discount nor did they put me and my family in room with a working bathrooms never again will we get a room there .

DO NOT STAY HERE BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE...Avoid this property!!! Filthy dirty, cockroaches, carpets disgusting, bathrooms half cleaned, hairs in the beds, beds noisy and so uncomfortable, sleeper sofas unusable, tvs didn’t work, pixelation and loss of sound, microwave didn’t work, construction every morning in the building behind but wasn’t told that, ground covered in litter and the list goes on...GM was very rude and condescending and shouldn’t be running any hotel, she didn’t bother to call until I complained that she hadn’t reached out and left a message with attitude! Had to change rooms 3 times and left my vacation a day early after there was a make shift bbq set up in the parking lot but construction workers who drank and played loud music half the night leaving chicken bones and beer cans everywhere which weren’t cleaned up! No security, no breakfast, was told only one housekeeping visit for my 2 week stay and I had to choose the day 😳 AVOID THIS HOTEL THE GM DOESNT CARE ABOUT YOU OR THE HOTEL.

Good stay

Pros:Spacious family suite. Location mins away from San Antonio attractions. Cons: Parking spot limited. Very limited breakfast to go.

So-so stay

The hotel has a great location but is in need of serious updating. It’s an older hotel and the finishes and style show it. The outside of the hotel’s landscape has been neglected and makes a not so good first impression. I noticed cracked floor tiles in the kitchen area and also cracks on the walls. The room had a smell that I couldn’t quite figure out. The bed squeaked every time you moved on it so it was hard to fall asleep. Also the sofa bed was not comfortable at all, you could feel every spring on the frame. It had the space we needed but not sure we will stay at this type of hotel again.

We loved our stay

We loved our stay. Very relaxing and refreshing. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. That hasn't been the case at other places we have stayed in previously, where you had to ask for plates and utensils and hope they had some left by the time you checked in.

The room is very big and clean. The kitchen area contains clean dishes and utensils ready for use.

Great, spacious family room!

Overall, the stay was great. The room was spacious and surprisingly had 2 bathrooms! The only complaints we had were that the water pressure in one of the showers was way too strong. It was painful and splattered water through the cloth shower curtain and soaked the floor.

Great continental breakfast and cosy and clean hotel Room. Beds are not great & fold out couch was even worse. But we made it thru and would stay again if we needed to.

Clean, convenient, spacious, comfortable

Very good hotel. Clean enough. Some of the hallway rugs and entrance doors need to be fixed or updated. The rugs were worn and stained in some areas and the lock on one of the side doors to the main building was about to fall apart. Coffee is not available for the guests past 10AM. That, to me, is a thumbs down. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. Very convenient walk to the riverwalk and other downtown areas. (10 minute walk) The gym could use a little more room and extra equipment.

Not super close to the River Walk (but can ride a rented scooter) BUT room was large (2 bedroom) and no parking fee. Most downtown charge additional $35 for parking!
