Nice Stay

When traveling we have a couple of preferred chains that we use, and we do so because the results are usually predictable. Residence Inn is one of those. We can almost always depend on a clean comfortable room, helpful representatives of the chain, a well-kept property in decent neighborhoods and a good value for the money we spend. This time was no exception. We like having the little apartment feel of Residence in. And as budget minded travelers, it is nice to have the ability to "eat in" during an extended stay, save a few dollars and have familiar comforting food. And we can always count on Residence Inn for having a familiar room style that we enjoy.

The food. Something different every day

Very happy with out stay. We will always stay here when we visit Gulfport.

I love the King bedroom and all the features it had. Will be booking only here when ever I visit my famioly.

The room was spacious. We had a king suite. The only complaints were we only had one wash cloth and the breakfast was a little bland. For what we were there for and the length of the stay it was fine.

Needed a room quickly was able to reserve it from hotels.com... got a great room that was above and beyond I was expecting .

Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

The staff is amazing. All were so nice. American Airlines delayed my flight by 4 hours...do not fly American..I called the hotel 3 different times because I wasn't sure if I was going to get my car rental. Mya was incredible. After having the flight delayed 4 times and each time Mya was like, We got you! The GM Sharon is a diamond. Miss Troy, Barbara and Bobbie with that complimentary breakfast. I could have stayed somewhere else for a little cheaper. I've been here 5 times I think. Every time I come back is like coming back to see family

Pleasant Stay! Will DEFINITELY stay again!

Hotel was perfect! Staff is friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay again. Convenient to airport, Outlets, stores, restaurants and the beach. The only negative I will give is that the pillows are not comfortable, very flat.

We were looking for a place to escape the hurricane for a couple of days. This hotel was great. Right by the airport, but no noise inside. The room was clean. It provided everything we needed. We loved having the kitchenette area. We had our dogs with us and had so much room to walk them compared to most hotels.

Great stay.

Pool has live growing alge and they knew it. Hot tub did not heat day on, missed a whole day of nighttime soaking. Certain staff in the kitchen area seemed to be upset if you spoke to them or asked to have their " warm " coffee warmed up in the microwave. Not our best stay. Will not stay next trip. Not worth making a reservation.

Great very clean

Easy access to I-10 and just minutes from the airport and rental car return. Friendly staff. It would be nice for airport hotels to have breakfast at 5:00-5:30 for people with early flights. Wishful thinking. There is a nice outlet mall minutes away. Our room was clean. We had a separate bedroom and TV. There is a double dresser but the drawers would not close properly. As to housekeeping — the bottom sheet on the bed had a pinkish colored stain near the bed pillow. The bathtub has a large dirty looking stain near drain. In the living area, the curtains are worn at the bottom. The hemmed portion was detached and dragging on the floor.

The young ladies at the front desk were very nice and pleasant. The older gentleman wasn’t as pleasant (maybe because it was so early in the morning for him)

Staff was friendly to a certain extent. I complained of some of my belongings being taken and nothing was done about. I tried talking to the manager but she was always unavailable. No one has contacted me as of yet.

This was my 2nd time staying here. Gave a 5 star review the first and usually most places fall below that a 2nd time. Not here. The staff was just as great. Lawrence at the front desk, awesome and Miss Troy. The complimentary breakfast is great. Eggs, grits and bacon. Oatmeal with so many condiments you can think of. Miss Troy makes you feel as if she's bringing it from her kitchen. Check in was easy as well as check out. Have to give a shout out to Sharon the GM. She cares about her guests. Also the staff that clean the rooms... exceptional. No complaints. .

The rooms were nice and clean. The staff we encountered were friendly as well. We enjoyed our stay.

We really enjoyed our room and the dairy free options for breakfast.

Very close to the airport

I appreciate being allowed to check in very early and how kind and welcoming all staff was. This hotel is literally across the street from the airport ( I wanted to simply walk to hotel but not easily done, lol). The room was so well equipped with absolutely everything you need to cook, etc. I’ve stayed here a number of times and will again. Highly recommended.

Loved this place. Will definitely be my first choice to stay next time. The staff was great and friendly. Shelita and Liza at the front desk. I can't remember the other two guys names but all were spot on. Miss Troy who handled the complimentary breakfast was awesome. This complimentary breakfast was incredible. You had the usual eggs and such but sometimes breakfast sandwiches or different types of potatoes. Oatmeal with all the fixings and cereals and bagels and fruit. This is the only place I went to for breakfast. Miss Troy was amazing. Very nice and personable. She remembers you and greets you and gives good hugs. The room was perfect for me and the roommate. Clean and water pressure was great. He liked the coffee pot, I didn't. That was the only thing. Other than that this place should be rated higher than 5 stars. There was several kids soccer teams staying the weekend we were there. It was still great. My first choice next time.

Everything was great

I'm born and raised in Gulfport but my family and I have been living in Texas for years now, so I was excited to be back home. We came down for Mardi Gras on the last day. I shared a room with my mom and sister. Upon checking into our room there was a stain in the bathroom tub and the toilet did not flush. We went back to share this with the lady who checked us in and she said they would have somebody come by in the morning to fix it, which they did. My mom decided to buy a bath mat to put in the shower to cover the stain, no biggie. The bed was comfortable but I eventually moved to the sofa bed. There's not enough leg room at the dining table due to it being so small and the chairs a little big which was right next to the refrigerator which made it a little tight. The main disappointment about the hotel was breakfast. We made it down to breakfast twice out of our 4 days. Both times they either were low on utensils, cups and even some of the food. Some of the food was cold. The day we checked out, the same lady was at the desk who checked us in. At first she asked if I wanted a receipt and I said yes I didn't get a print out, she told me I would have to go on the third party website where I booked it to get the receipt and that she couldn't do it at the desk. I've never had that happen before, was this some kind of new policy? Other than that the staff was kind and professional but I won't come back here. Look out for bed bugs,me and my mom had bite marks on us before we left

Incredibly friendly front desk staff and nice room. Reading previous breakfast reviews was really frustrating…. Because two weekend days in a row during our stay they were out of almost everything by 8 in the morning…. including COFFEE! Maybe they were short staffed but my 8 year old daughter was looking forward to that part of the trip. Really disappointing. Oh, and our room wasn’t cleaned while we weren’t there on Saturday and I’m not sure why.

Dinning and lounge area were neat and clean. I would suggest that the carpeting in the rooms be replaced with laminated tile. Also, bathtub needs resurfacing. Overall experience was nice.

Nice and Clean

what was unique is that they had a 24 hour shuttle that would carry us anywhere within a 5 miles radius . We loved that . Also the staff was amazing.

Outdated hotel and the rooms appeared to only be spot cleaned. The hallways were hot and had a smell as well. Overall, next time I will find somewhere better for the price.

Great service

I came here for work on a short trip and I’m glad that I chose the right place to stay. All of the staff were constantly looking for ways to tend to any needs I might have .

The staff was great and very accommodating. The breakfast staff was very friendly. The breakfast was delicious😋. I would recommend this facility to anyone traveling to the Gulf Coast!!

Clean

Thank you for my night away!

The woman that checked us in was super nice and we had a nice conversation, and check in was smooth and easy. The lobby was nice and clean. Our room was perfectly clean, and had a fresh smell. It was over 100 degrees outside, so they had our a/c set on 64 degrees. It was SO nice and cold in our room when we walked in. The breakfast was hot and fresh, and they continued to bring food out while we were down there. The employees that were preparing the food were kind and enthusiastic, and they had some really yummy coffee. This will definitely be our home away from home for our next trip to Gulfport. The property managers are doing a good job and you can tell they take pride in their work!

Weekend stay

The receptionist Liza was really nice and friendly! I ask about a nice restaurant to go eat at because it was my fiancé Birthday. She gave us a few options to choose from. Also the cards that Liza gave us was for complimentary appetizer or drink. Definitely would be staying at this jolted again.

The room are big and very nice and comfortable.

Loud and pool area was not very clean.

The fire alarm went off 3 times during the middle of the night. Also the room temperature in all the hallways are super high.

Everything was great, clean, and inviting. Breakfast was served but I didn’t wake up time enough to go and taste any of it. Rooms was very spacious and clean.

It was nice clean and calm atmosphere at the hotel. It was nice to have free breakfast at the hotel.

I never made it there. My flight from Newrk to Charlotte NC got postponed and I would have missed the cinnecting flight to Gulfport Mississippi. The next flight from Charlotte NC to Gulport was Friday night at 10:39 and they wouldst put me up in a hotle. It didn't matter because Inwas sriving back from Gulfport to Staten Island...a 20 hours drive and I never would have mase it intonwork on Monday.

Trash by the elevator is not a welcoming sight. The breakfast did not look appetizing at all.

The location of the hotel was very convenient for everything that we did. Easy to find and little traffic. Staff was especially helpful and friendly

It was an all around nice place to stay and we will be coming back soon!!!

The furniture wasn’t clean, the shower curtain was very dirty. The room had a smell to it. I’ve stayed at way better hotels for less money.

Nice location

The staff was excellent, the location convenient, the room was very nice. The only issue was a early morning walk to the sink to get something to drink. When my finance turnt on the light little roaches ran across the sink, that was disappointment for us. But other than that it was a great value

We stay here every yr for our Anniversary. Love the breakfast. Our room was clean but the toilet was super low to the ground. My husband has back problems and it was hard for him to sit.

Love the 2-bedrooms

Stay was good, however the facility doesn’t have ice machines so it says they have complimentary bags of ice in the market freezer, but when you go to the market it says the freezer is broken. Luckily our room had a full-size refrigerator and I could make ice I just had to wait about an hour for 7 cubes.

The room was great. It was quiet. I went for a getaway by myself and I enjoyed.

Stay was Perfect :)

roaches, roaches, roaches! staff did not seem surprised by our disgust. we literally checked in and checked out in less then 20 minutes. very disappointed that neither orbitz or marriott will not provide a refund for something that was beyond our control as a consumer. customer service from both companies was well below expectations and we will be sure the world knows how disappointed, displeased and disgusting we are are with both service and accommodations

The bathroom needs some maintenance. Otherwise, the stay was great. Everyone was nice.

Nice stay

Everything was great. Just didn't realize that house keeping dies not come everyday. Since they didn't come we had to go to guest services and request towels each day and buy trash bags. Had to wait basically all day to get towels for room. Other than that everything was great!!! Will stay again just will be better prepared. Luckily Walmart is less than 5 minutes away.

The Stay was Amazing, the Room was super nice and clean.

Location was short staffed and house keeping was not available after certain hours. House keepers were friendly, but room was not clean when we arrived. Asked for a credit to be applied for my room expense and will not be booking again through a third party, will be dealing exactly with hotel. Overall we had a good time on vacation, but will not be using this hotel or third party site to book reservations.

Cant wait for next year.

Really clean and comfy newer property. Disappointed with the prepackaged breakfast, but my best experience ever was the Disney residence inn, which is now a different hotel brand.

Pet friendly

The staff was very friendly. There was an issue with the TV which they immediately addresses.

Dallas to Jacksonville Run

I've elected to use Residence primarily because it is pet friendly and it is a good stop for me between Dallas and Atlantic Beach, Florida. The rooms are relatively clean, the beds are worn and could use a good mattress change, Only one bar of soap! I always ask for a second for the shower. I was pleased the breakfast was back. My previous stay was only coffee, pre-packaged pastries and cold cereal. COVID related as with everything else in the world today.

The stay and location was great. However the shower curtains need to be changed they had mildew on them! A 20oz drink purchase was $4.28 tax for 1 drink! That’s obsurd! Overall stay was great! Breakfast was good!

It’s very peaceful

Convenient to the airport, but not very clean. Also severely understaffed- they couldn’t provide basic services because there weren’t enough staff. Tub was clogged, bathroom was gross, stains on the walls. But the staff was very nice and tried their best with what they had.

Amazing stay and such a friendly staff. The lady at the front desk treated us like family.

We didn’t finish our stay due to finding a really stained mattress which we slept on until discovering, we had to leave due to run down conditions a really stained shower and roaches. We will never stay nor recommend this property

Worth the Stay!

I love this hotel and the staff is very friendly and very helpful. However the hotel was completely booked the night before and they were short staff with the cleaning crew so we couldn’t check in until 45 minutes after check in hour. But overall loved the stay!
