Good value overall. Our sink wouldn't drain well and had no hot water. Comfortable bed, though.
Professional staff. Clean. Very uncomfortable pull out couch. Nice breakfast. Expensive upgrade charges. No double beds. Only double bedroom suites.
The hotel was nice and clean. There was only one elevator and it was far from my room and entrance of the hotel. It's located off the highway so there was easy access to it. There's not really any restaurants next to the hotel but they weren't too far. I had a 2 bedroom and one of them had an ant issue but that was taken care of immediately. I never made it to breakfast, so I'm not sure if it was good or not.
Nice convenient location and very nice accomodations. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good! Would stay again and recommend to friends.
Really nice get away spot. Loved the area
We enjoy the room.
Amazing place to stay with family.
Staff was polite, breakfast was good, it was quiet.
The staff is friendly and courteous. This is the 2nd time i have stayed here.
Convenient en Close, To Major Freeway
Rooms could have been in the better condition. As an e.g TV remotes were missing and the the one with remote was not able to connect to Internet, Heaters were very dirty and commode in one Bathroom was not working properly etc
The staff was very friendly and accommodating, they helped us set up transportation and even told us things to do in the area. Con - had one cockroach in our room and when we had breakfast, they didn’t have waffles!
Doubled charge for a room
Clean and spacious room with polite staff
Good place to stay, pet friendly, and Close to eating places
Great place for family
Well... room was dirty! Dust on refrigerator, counter tops, iron was broken and not working. Had to call down for replacement and get it. Had to go down to have and request rooms to be cleaned. Cleaned 2 times whole time there at our demand to have room cleaned. Tenant in next room 101 I believe had dog that bark all day and night. Room smelled and out dated! Shower door wouldn't close.. water everywhere as door wouldn't stay close when taking a showers bathroom tiny. Rip off on prices and very very misleading. The worst stay I've ever stayed in my whole entire life traveling career place was horrible. The breakfast in the morning was great and the person who is working in cleaning the kitchen and serving the breakfast which was one lady was awesome. She was excellent. That was the only thing everything else was horrible and the worst experience I've ever encountered. I would love someone to call me back to talk about this in greater detail . very unhappy and very disappointed in this day. Please call me back 315.491.2147
It was as expected
BF was not readily available during the allotted time and ran out with out being replenished. Our bathtub had dirt in it and our door to the room didn't open with the key. Each time it took multiple tries.
The elevator is small and wasn’t working very well, it kept shacking pretty bad when reaching the 3 floor. The pool is super small, the doors in the two suites we stayed in were not locking properly and had to be pushed in or pulled with force to lock or open. Same with the locking mechanisms. Staff was great and the breakfast also. Just wished those things were fixed. There was some homeless activity outside at night but they had the security truck patrolling so that was good.
I asked for room service in the morning after two days that the room has not been cleaned. and the operator said yes, definitely there will be room service for that day, 6/7. but when we went out for site seeing and back at 5:00PM, room is untouched, I had to go to front desk many times to get the towels myself. I put all garbage and dirty towel in hallway, and someone picked those up in 10 minutes. I called the Marriott headquarter to complaint, and the so called supervisor just asked me to check with front desk. Front desk just said sorry and asked to compensate with some snacks in the mini market. We didn't take any of the stuffs from the mini market. I am about to give up, but next morning I see a woman seems like a manager, her name is Andrea, and I complained to her for the situation. And she listened and compensated me with 25,000 points as a gesture. I also developed rashes after I came home to the Bay area. I was wondering if the bed sheets are not clean. I really don't have a pleasant experience of staying there. We went there for a wedding party, and there are 5 groups of us renting the rooms. two suites and others are single rooms, but they booked separately.
The property was at central location from downtown to surrounding nature sites.
Nice hotel, inside was great, only issue was the main parking lot was under renovation and was unusable.
Stayed here for 5 nights. Everything was great! Staff were all super nice, friendly helpful. Free breakfast was great. Room was clean and spacious. Tons of room in the one bedroom suite!
Great staff, rooms, and breakfast with warm items and a really nice polite lady tending the little buffet. Very pleasant experience!!
Wonderful Stay Friendly Staff
The staff was professional and friendly going above and beyond the customer experience! Always a friendly greeting throughout the hotel by all staff! Breakfast was wonderful with so many options available. Rooms clean, bed sheets fresh and bathrooms sanitary. Thank you for the wonderful stay...until next time...
Cleanliness is next to godliness
This place was perfect for my business trip to Austin. Very clean, well managed. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was well appointed and very quiet.
Good experience
?
Wonderful Stay
It was a wonderful stay. The hotel was clean, spacious, and great service. It was located perfectly for all our activities. Thanks!
NO coffee maker...Wow, a Marriot hotel without a coffee maker...kitchen, microwave, dishwasher but coffee nope. Strong smell of fragrance. No matter where you are in building you can hear freeway. Door entry cards do work nicely. Very cold room upon first entry, but hot would be worse. Heard neighbor above. Spend a bit more and dont be disappointed
Amazing room for price
Great room for a great price! Couldn’t have asked for a better experience
I liked the full kitchen and friendly interactions with everyone who worked there.
would probably stay again
We arrived late and were told our two bedroom suite was unavailable even though we had paid for it. Apparently there were maintenance issues with the unit. The guy was nice but said he was told that at 3 when he got to work and I felt like if the hotel knew this they should have called me ASAP to let me know. I rented a suite because I have four children. They offered me two rooms down the hall from each other. So much for fun family night at hotel, we were split up. Besides that, it was pretty clean. The bed was not comfortable. They had decent muffins yogurt apples juice box and coffee for grab and go breakfast. The location was great.
I loved the room but hated that corona virus ruin the availability to have a breakfast.
Not great, nothing to avoid
Check-in was excellent, the gentleman there was welcoming, professional, informative. The mattresses in room 110 were not good quality, they felt like an air mattress, but there were no controls to increase or decrease the amount of air pressure in the mattress to allow comfort
Not to Residence Inn standard.
I book Residence Inn when traveling with family, this time I was a little disappointed. The place is being neglected abd needs better maintanance. The room we got was located on the last, worst corner of the first floor property. Windows were facing straight into all AC units, the breakfast was poor and the AC very noise. We stayed one night after all. Thanks
Pretty clean for an older hotel. The breakfast was good. Great location
Hotel was good but one bad turn off , the breakfast server wasn’t clean and didn’t keep up with food , also while serving he walked out with his gloves still on and smoked cigarette twice while we were eating breakfast, that happened twice during our stay there .
Great room, large and had everything you need for a pleasant stay.
Great accommodations / could use improvement
Room above us was very noisy and disturbing between midnight and 2 am both nights. Had to call the front desk twice. Front desk said if it persisted they would move us to another suite. I told her I wasn’t causing the problem and I wasn’t moving all 4 of us. Suite accommodations were great. Worked well for our situation. Ran out of breakfast and coffee both mornings.
Not a good place to stay
Rooms are old and there are cockroaches inside our rooms. I stayed there with a friend of mine and we bouth had cockroaches in our room
Very unsatisfied
The bed made very loud noise. And sleeper couch was caved in.
Impressed In ATX
The hotel was pleasant. The front desk staff was helpful. Although the hall ways were old looking, the room appeared recently renovated. I'd stay here again.
Excelent
Very nice staff professional and courteous. Very clean accommodations
Great stay
Great staff and comfort. There were a few worn items in the like bathroom door knobs.
Friendly Staff and nicely appointed room we would definitely stay here again. Great value!
Rooms were large and very accommodating. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean.
This property is has bad rooms, it smelled and comforters were worn.
LOVED the spacious suite with a full kitchen. Cleaning staff did a great job with the room even though we had a bit of popcorn diabcle (sorry :) Included breakfast and they had pizza & wine on arrival free to guests. Thanks Marriott
The staff and service are great. Very helpful and attentive. Good breakfast included. Negative is noise from the freeway if you get a room facing the freeway.
No complimentary breakfast. The Starbucks didn't open early enough on the weekends.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Pretty good
Very few negatives. The toilet seat under the tank was brown with who knows what. That's be room 312. There was a fairly LARGE cricket that some how made in my room on the 3rd floor. And the last one would be the hallways smelled of wet carpet, not really a deal breaker. Overall though I would hands down from here on out always look for a Marriott Hotel.the staff were super friendly and nice and always asking how my stay was going and if there was anything they can improve on.
Good budget hotel for business travel as well as families.
Location was good. it was close to where I wish to visit. Breakfast area was small and amenities were poor. size of pool was smaller than I expected
Would stay again
Check-in was quick and friendly. The room was clean and cool. The TV screen was dark, couch was uncomfortable and thw bed was hard. The bedskirt was half off the bed which was strange. The breakfast bar was well stocked and maintained.
Showing wear and tear
Friendly staff but busy highway location. The furnishings are aged and mattress on the sofa bed was stained and uncomfortable. I would not stay here again.
Room was very nice
Always a great stay at Marriott properties Thank you
great stay
nice people. nice facility. great location.
PREPERTY IS VERY OLD AND ITS NEED UPDATE THE INSTALATIONS
Great place to stay, will stay again for sure.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this Inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had A LOT of extras you don't always find in higher priced hotels. The breakfast was great with a large selection and a good time frame. Only negative and its a knit picky personal one for me that will not effect everyone, but I did find the bed too soft, I prefer a firm bed and as such all the years of sleeping on one really causes my back to hurt if I sleep on a softer one. This might not be the issue with every room, but for the one we stayed in it was a soft mattress. Despite this all the extras made up for it. Will stay again for sure.
Dog friendly atmosphere
The rooms were spacious and clean. Kitchenette has a regular size refrigerator. Breakfast was much better than the usual continental bfast and the staff were pleasant, friendly and spoke great English .
No Room at the Residence Inn Austin South
They overbooked the Residence Inn (Memorial Day weekend) and didn't contact us until we arrived that they had cancelled our room reservation and moved us to another Marriott property nearby. No one at Hotels.com contacted us either until we arrived at the Residence Inn. How would you feel??
Excellent place
Everyone was kind and courteous and very accommodating
This is the worst time I ever had with Marriott, I woke up in the middle of the night with bed bugs and bits all over my body today is Monday and i'm still medicating the bits
AC was not working (98 degrees outside), maintenance was able to resolve the problem and eventually the room cooled down. The rooms were very dated, the property is in need of a renovation. Maintenance and Front Desk staff were very nice and professional.
Musty Smell but Overall Good place
This hotel definitely has a strong musty smell and is an older property, but it checked all the boxes I needed it to and I had a great stay! The pool was clean and great to have in the Texas heat. I would stay there again.
Ok hotel. Rooms are not as nice as the pictures...seem older.
Add another trash can
In the hotel suite, we noticed there was only one tiny trash can in the bathroom. It would have made more sense to have another small trash can, perhaps leather, in livingroom.
Easter Weekend
Good breakfast choices but you had to go early. Otherwise dishes were empty. No other complaints.
Moved
The hotel had federal agents on scene that extended their stay. They moved us next door to a Marriott property. It was not as nice but they got me in a room and still offered a free breakfast if I wanted to walk across the parking lot.
Road repair was obvious but not a hinderence.
Staff was coutious and polite. Checking in was fast and simple. The room was comfotable and com0lete - everything we needed for a pleasent stay. Enjoyable...would stay again and recommend to others.
Very affordable. Good location.
This hotel is lined up next to all of the Marriott hotels so there is certainly a style and price for everyone. Very convenient on/off the highway. There's a gas station and food mart a few doors down for snacks and drinks. Easy to get into downtown Austin via I-35 or Congress. The breakfast was good. Love the happy hour food and drink option. I stayed in a studio which was a great size.
Great price for the room
Two bedroom suite. Affordable. Staff is very friendly.
Best choice with children
STAYED 4 NIGHTS. VERY CLEAN, FRIENDLY STAFF. WILL STAY AGAIN
when I checked In I felt like the guest rep wasn't that friendly. Like most hotels I've stayed at I pay when I leave because I'm splitting cost with friends. Long story short he said I must pay right away, which isn't a problem. It's the same amount either way. But instead of handing back my card. He throws it on the counter. Literally 2 different cards he throws it on counter. Didn't feel friendliness from him. Hotel was also dirty. Restroom has stains. I stayed at homewood suites the night before and it was a lot better. Overall it was average. But not so great
Austin trip
You messed up reservations and they couldn't find them for a long whike
I give 5 stars on Service, Cleanliness, Comfort & Condition. Location is great but driving conditions are awful in Austin, TX. Overall poor due to the people above us. I have stayed in many hotels when traveling and this was the worst. Hotel even called them and it never stopped. I was offered to be moved but had 1 day left and decided just to remain.
Nice hotel, excellent breakfast!
We stayed one night. Everything was good, especially the breakfast was impressive compared to other hotels. The only thing that falls short was the noise from the nearby highway I-35. It wasn't terrible but if you are not used to hearing any sound during sleep it can keep you up.
My family and I selected this location because of the convenience of having suites we could share with some friends that were also visiting the area. After all, location is convenient but not great (you are right on a highway leading into the city), and the rooms are ok, unless you are sleeping on the pull out couch, in which case get ready for some uncomfortable nights. Unfortunately, despite having prepaid the suites well in advance, we were told at check-in that the room was unavailable, since a guest decided to stay an extra night. I am ready to bet the guest verified with the reception before extending its stay, and nobody there considered the fact that the room was already reserved an paid by us. Bottom line, we ended up staying in separate rooms; no idea if the value of these rooms was higher or lower of what we already paid, and of course no rate change is possible if you prepay on Hotels.com. Lesson learned, and freely shared with you: avoid prepayment if you can. In the end I would have selected another hotel if I knew the room we selected was not available.
Good Value for the Money
Needed a 2 room suite since our daughter was flying in to stay with us a few days in Austin. Had trouble with the toilet not flushing and the bath tub stopper not working. . Too two days to get fixed 2 days after being reported. Heat pump in our daughter's bedroom ran all the time regardless of temperature Breakfast is served 6-9 AM weekdays. Wish it was until 10 for us slow starters ! Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The location is terrific. Close to all the freeways. You can get anywhere in Austin quickly from here. Room was comfortable and clean. Hotel needs to inspect its rooms more often to make sure the toilets and AC are working propertly
So so nice
It is easy access from highway. The room and condition are great.
It was amazing, tasty breakfast buffet, nice people and very convenient to downtown Austin.
A reasonable place to stay, good overall service
It could use a little bit of cleaning; the drinking cups had coffee stains, room had smell, and sheets were rough. They had good coffee as well as good and verity of breakfast choices. Also, the staff was friendly.
Decent hotel that needs some serious updating
I wanted a place to stay while my house was being painted. I picked this place since it's a Marriott and having experienced other marriotts, I figured this will be good. Boy was I wrong. The bed was horrible - to put it mildly. The mattress (if you can call it that) was due for upgrading 5 years ago - absolutely no support at all. Breakfast was standard fare - scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal, bagels and croissants. Good selection of yogurts. The neighborhood is very industrial - I knew this going in; so it wasn't a surprise. Good wi-fi. Generally a ho-hum stay - but the mattress made the stay unbearable.
Austin
Great trip breakfast was delicious and the rooms were perfect for our family
Great family hotel with nice breakfast
We had plenty of room in a two bedroom suite for 4 adults and 2 children, big breakfast buffet with fresh food each morning.
Friendly staff clean facility, good breakfast
Without a doubt the very best part of the hotel was the friendliness of the staff. The hot breakfasts were also quite good. Room was clean and quiet. Enjoyed the fireplace in our suite.
Good Residential Hotel for Extended Stay
What made this hotel experience especially remarkable was the staff. From the moment we checked in they all were welcoming, helpful, accommodating, personable and kind. Seldom have I experienced an overall staff that was so friendly and professional at the same time. As for the overall facility, the hotel is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is abundant with numerous choices. I give high marks all the way around!
Will definitely use this hotel again
Excellent snacks/meals am and pm Room was clean and perfect
Home away from Home
Wonderful breakfast buffet, nice people and very convenient to downtown Austin.
The room was very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The bed was too soft for my back. I had to sleep on the sofa which was far firmer than the bed.
Excellent hotel to stay, Excellent Wi-Fi
Everything of this hotel is excellent! Confortable and clean rooms and good kitchen ( only oven is missing). The hotel staff are nice and collaborable.
Was good way over priced
Easy on and off Highway
Nice clean place and spacious. Had to ask front desk for hand lotion.
Close to airport and highway
The "great cricket migration" was occurring while we were at the hotel. Not a problem for us my 4 year old loved watching them and finding them. The hotel staff was super apologetic regarding the insects. The room was lovely enough room to sleep, eat etc. I loved the kitchen and fridge. It made leftovers easy and we could reheat in the microwave.
Convenient for where we needed to be
It was in a great location for the camp that my daughter was attending. We didn't have to deal with the much heard about traffic that we'd heard about in Austin.
Stayed in a studio room which had everything you need. Kitchen area had dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The room was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The location is close the i35 and easy to get around in car
