Excellent choice for a stay in Austin

Great hotel and great location. Our suite was extremely well equipped with full working kitchen and overall was very comfortable. We were given a €25 credit each day to use in the bar/restaurant which we took full advantage of eating there both nights. The food and beer was delicious. Highly recommend the Champions Bar. The buffet breakfast was very good. Lots to choose from and all freshly made. We were also lucky that we were able to park outside the hotel using the street parking. Would certainly stay here again when visiting Austin.

Nice lobby facilities despite ongoing reservation. Decent breakfast. Our corner room with 2 windows and a nice view had an awkward furniture arrangement: furniture a bit crowded around desk; sofa bed (which we didn't use) couldn't be opened due to placement of drawers chest. Kitchenette was largely unusable due to refrigerator blocking opening of 4 drawers with utensils, etc. overhead light blocked full opening of 1 cupboard. Inadequate towel racks in bathroom. Either this room was in transition for renovation, or the interior designer needs to be replaced.

Excellent accommodation and service

It was a very pleasant stay. Nice fitness center, and dining option. Close to a lot of attractions.

Poor Shower

The shower was difficult to switch from the tub spout to shower. The hot water took a extremely long time to get hot.

Where do I even start.... First of all, I had never been to Austin and booked at the Residence simply because it seemed to be in a good area for tourist attractions and wasn't in the direct vicinity of the ACL Festival where prices were significantly inflated. I wasn't totally sure if this was the right option or not as we had tickets to the festival but took a chance anyways. Firstly... it ended up being the perfect location due to the huge availability of rentable scooters out front! We were able to get quite close to the festival in about 15 minutes using the scooters and in 7 days only got an uber when we needed to get to and from the airport. Staying here means you are exactly between 2 amazing streets as well. 2 Blocks away from 6th which is where the endless stream of bars and music exists in Austin, 2 blocks from 2nd (Also known as Willie Nelson bvd) where youll find the ACL store, many shops and the Moody theatre and only a 10 minute scooter ride from South congress where there are incredible boot and hat shops, bars, restaurants and the famouns S Congress bat bridge where you can see bats take off every night for 6 months of the year. We also enjoyed the huge continental breakfast offered by the hotel, as well as the $25/day discount in the restaurant which kept our expenses for the week quite low. Every meal we had st the restaurant was wonderful and I would like to give a special shout out to our frequent server Tony who took incredible care of us daily!

Good service, delicious free breakfast

The property was fine clean nice somewhat expensive. The most annoying thing was parking was nearly $60 a night ! I was shook when i received the bill for that one ! They do charge you for everything.Read everything... the fine print !

Decent hotel. A bit outdated. Room smelled of mildew or stagnant water.

I recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in downtown Austin. Nice and clean hotel the breakfast was nice.

THIS HOTEL IS NOW MY AUSTIN HOTEL, THE RECEPTIONIST WERE KIND AND THE BFAST WAS AMAZING, STARBUCKS CLOSEBY, 6TH ST NEARBY LOVED IT

Our stay is good.Only valet parking is very expensive

Hotel is in a great area. We enjoyed our stay until it was time for check out and requested valet bring our vehicle down. We waited nearly 2 hours for our vehicle. It seems they gave us the wrong ticket and had our vehicle under the wrong name.

Such a great location. Breakfast buffet was amazing. The staff were very friendly.

We loved this place so much! The young ladies at the front were very welcoming and friendly. Accommodating. The double bedroom suite was HUGE, clean and overall just superb! We will be coming back. This will be our new go to hotel, as we like to stay at hotels monthly lol just a guilty pleasure that hopefully lives on with our kids as they get older! Hopefully we can check out the pool and free breakfast next time! 😊

Rooms had lots of amenities. However, couldn’t get the TV to turn on. The next day it did turn on. Shower out of conditioner. Breakfast was good, although there was no non dairy creamer. Had dinner at the restaurant one night. It was so-so. The location was good, but the parking was outrageously expensive.

We had a great stay place was clean and spacious, the staff was kind, the sofa bed wasn't the most comfortable but other then that we had really good experience.

$65 parking?

For the price (which they changed on a daily basis) it was just an average hotel. We had to keep asking for more soap because the 1 tiny bar was used up after 1 person took a shower. Parking of $65/night is crazy. I did get it for $55/night because I showed them an email i received prior to arriving. Wouldn't stay there again.

Walkable to the river broadwallk, 6th street and Congress bridge. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Excellent breakfast!! Only negatives are that we were awoken 2 nights by weird intermittent clanging noises but not present on 3rd night. The onsite parking was expensive, $62/night tax. Wish they would have coffee and tea in the lobby during the day and evening.

The pullout bed mattress was very uncomfortable, could feel every spring and metal bars. They brought a rollaway bed - not much better. The fridge was leaking and froze the food in the fridge section. A lot of homeless people near hotel especially in the evening, night time.

Residence Inn Austin

My only comment about our stay is that be aware that the parking is very expensive. We just got lucky finding a parking space across the street paid half the price for overnight parking . It will cost you $55 a day. I wasn’t aware it will cost that much .

Front desk was amazing checking us in and hotel and room were great but the valet parking was outrageously over priced. I got a great rate for the room only for it to be negated by $110 to park.

Great location, very clean, new rooms, excellent breakfast in the morning. Staff was very courteous and prompt especially Lei. Will stay again. The ONLY “bad” thing is parking. $50 valet with in and out privileges OR parking garage nearby.

The room was clean, spacious and fit my family’s needs. Great price. It was right across the street from the convention center and 2 blocks off 6thSt. Walked everywhere. Breakfast was excellent. Parking was a bit stiff at $55 a day, but oh well. Would stay again.

Disappointing

The suite we had was quite small and felt very old and run down. The bathroom in particular was small and bath/shower often omitted cold water. Lack of hooks in the bathroom. It felt very disappointing especially considering the rate

The hotel was beautiful with more than enough things we needed for an overnight stay. We enjoyed our walk to dinner. The high view overlooking the city was nice.

Location was perfect

Hard to find at night, we drove past it a couple of times. Overall it was a great stay, easy to check in, comfortable and friendly staff

They overbook and cancel hours after check in time

They overbooked. Made me wait 3 hours after check in time of 4pm for a room. Then they confessed they didn’t have a room and canceled my reservation.

Excellent room, excellent customer service.

Nice and clean hotel. The room includes a fridge, microwave and a small kitchen, features that might be important when traveling with family. Two downsides, the indoor pool is small (capacity of 9 people at a time) and very cold so, I couldnt get in. The other one, I didn't see that parking is $55 dls per night, while it caught me by surprise, it is my fault that i did not see it in their description.

This stay was amazing due to the competent and caring staff. The breakfast was amazing and the staff that cleaned our room was exceptional. The front desk and valet personnel were also helpful whenever we needed something or had a question. Overall, 5 stars!!

Convenient Downtown Hotel

In town for event at Moody Center. Hotel is short ride to Moody or a quick walk to 6th Street. Lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Nice hotel. Rooms are spacious and the kitchen is nice to have. Firm beds, and was clean. Typical paper thin walls hearing anyone/everyone next to you or in the hall. Although convenient location to walk to many destinations, be prepared for the homeless folks camped around the downtown area. They charge $55 for parking, and there is a nice clean, brightly lit public parking garage 1 block down for only $20.

The room was advertised that will sleep 5 people but in reality only 4. The manager kindly agreed to our needs and upgrade the room for us.

It would be appreciated to have able to have a late check out when checking around 2am. Everything else was very nice

The guy who checked us in was excellent and so nice as wallet as the valet staff. Other staff we came in contact with not friendly or accommodating. The room was a good size and clean. However mattress was awful. Showers did not drain.

Friendly staff

I liked this hotel. It was clean, convenient and and the staff was pretty good. The free breakfast buffet was okay. Outdated chocolate milk, no waffles, rubbery pancakes, powdered cooked eggs, but the fruit, cereal, bacon, sausage and juice was good. Cant be too picky though, the price was $30 cheaper than the discounted Hilton price next door where our convention was. And they didnt have the free breakfast option.
