travel stay

Just stayed the one night as was traveling to come home. Felt the place was okay. No security tab on door, it looks like had been ripped off and not replaced. Television had to have staff come and put in some chip to get to work. In the morning didn't work again. Breakfast good. Staff friendly and helpful.

Traveling last minute stay.

The tv in the room did not work and the WiFi was very slow. But otherwise it was a pleasant experience. No extra charge for my chiweenie so that was a plus. Sorry I didn’t think about taking a picture..

Long black hair on sink and on bathtub. Soap/shampoo dispensers too stingy and too hard to operate! Very frustrating!

Clean and comfy

We checked in after 10pm and left by 7am. Clean, quiet and comfortable, staff was friendly and helpful.

Its what you get for the price..carpets a bit stained..but bed comfy..could have my digs there..for the price if you are not terribly picky good option

Good hotel

Room was nice and comfortable bed but the pillows really need to be replaced. Unbelievably hard and very high and couldn’t be used. Good breakfast!!

Have been to this motel couple each year for past 4 or 5. It has improved outside re cleaner, inside breakfast area is nice now. Great place to stop over when travelling back/down south. One small item, staff when on smoking break at 4-5 am in the morning, should be quieter. Too close to the doors and those of us sleeping with open windows, well a touch noisy. Thanks!

We booked a room with a King size bed, but when we arrived they said they only had rooms available with two double size beds. I've not had that happen before. Other than that, the stay was great and the breakfast was better than expected. Great stay for the price.

The tub drains slow and the key car reader for the outside doors need to be repaired

The bath tub drains slow and the card scanners for the outside doors need to be reapaired its very inconvenient to have to walk around to the front when you have to park in the gravel lot on the side

The bed was very comfortable, but you can hear everyone walking around on the 2nd floor.

Chunks of plaster missing from exposed corners in the room. Nail holes in wall where trim used to be.

It’s in a business area. Nothing close door dash was the only food service. Breakfast was good and a good choice of items.

Front desk worker was awesome. But smelled horribly from smoke outside front doors, and inside . Elevator very dirty and felt like was going to break made loud clanging noise. In room bathroom toilet had dried urine drips on floor so they dont wash floor. Leads me to believe what else in room is not cleaned-bed linens, floor??

Overnight stay

The room was clean and the mattress was very comfortable and the shower had great water pressure,I would recommend this hotel, the breakfast was also good. The ladies at the front desk were very friendly!

Older hotel but rooms have been remodeled and updated and were nice.

The hotel appeared to have recently refurbished and the carpet in the room was clean. Worked great for our dog and plenty of grass areas to walk around the hotel. Would come again

Much better than expected

This motel was way better than the so-so other reviewers led me to expect. It was very clean and comfortable and quiet, and that's what I want. The room was fully outfitted with everything I needed, and there was both hot and Continental breakfast available in the morning. It's pet friendly, too. Personnel were friendly and helpful. We had a lovely stay there, and I will stay there again.

Enjoyed everything about my stay and would go back again. Staff is excellent and given that I was traveling w my dogs it was “good enough”, not so lovely I felt nervous to have the dogs there, not so gross I felt nervous to have the dogs there.

Great customer service and right of the interstate great location.

Staff were very friendly especially in light of the fact we were travelling on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Hotel could use updates, but it was safe and clean and worked out tremendously well for our trip. Thanks

Overall a good stay

The room was nice and clean. Just what youd expect walking into a hotel. The pillows were small and 4 tiny pillows on a King bed wasn't enough except it was only me so it worked. The bed was very firm and im used to a very soft bed so it was hard to sleep. It would be fine if you like that kind of bed. My dog liked the bed at least!

Not the best choice

Room was not well maintained. The bed frame was larger than the mattress - so you had to be careful getting off bed because of the excess metal of frame sticking out. The tub had 1 slip resistance strip close to drain. Just about fell getting into shower cause tub was so slippery. The handle on the tub saved me or I would have been down. Oh and the breakfast - well wasnt the best in variety.

It was a good stop for a road trip

We stayed one night and the room and staff were both accommodating.

Grounds have some garbage that needs to be cleaned. Room was great other than TV remote was not working. Staff were great and provided another remote for our use. Coffee in morning none left, otherwise breakfast was fine..

Good location, easy access

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice this hotel was. It was so conveniently located off the highway with many restaurants and a Super Walmart very close by. Had a great night's sleep.

Easy check in and out. Easy access to rooms from parking lot. Simple facility with everything you need at a good price.

Just a bed to sleep

I checked in around 11 at night and checked out at 9. I can not speak for the whole hotel experience but the room was clean. The door did not have an extra security bar but I didn't mind. I just checked in and checked out in the lobby, I did not eat the breakfast.

Great comfort for the money

Great bed and sheets. Good towels. Hits above its price point. Feels half finished, room had no baseboards, doors werent entirely squared, but still a comfortable place to stay for both me and my dog.

Property was nice and the people where cool breakfast was appetizing only issue is the side door seemed to be broken and was kept open all the time by a rock.

It was not the cleanest place I have stayed, but it was not the worst. The floor needed some repair around the bathroom door.

They didn't clean the room.

Property is in process of remodeling. Clean, quiet, seemed like a safe area. Would stay here again.

Would be 5 stars but we had to switch rooms due to remodel. The painters couldnt wait an extra day to paint our room apparently.

Was exactly what we needed, a pet friendly quick stop along the way home. Close to a town with plenty of shopping and food options to restock the car. Staff and room was great, you can tell the building itself has seen better days though.

This property was under construction. Our room had mold residue on the ceiling, stains on the carpet and it smelled like urine. The room close by was playing music most of the night. The fire alarm went off.

We arrived late at night and had booked a room with two double beds but received a room with a single king bed for 4 people, this doesn’t work. We had been traveling for many hours and needed a place to sleep. Hotel was full and under renovation. When we walked into room was when we discovered room with not enough sleeping space and it smelled plus there was vomit on carpet outside room. Person at desk was very friendly and kind. I would not recommend staying at this location and have hesitation about any red roof inn going forward. Appreciate the renovations but would have been good to know in advance.

Under Construction

Hotel was under construction so they seemed to be limited on rooms. We checked in around midnight and it took twenty minutes to get keys for two rooms. Seemed to be some confusion, but we stayed in a room with new desk, night stands, and TV.

Very nice. Large room. Comfortable. First time at Red Roof hotel.

Room was sub par on cleanliness. Holes around plumbing. Seen what was a large mouse or small rat and also could hear them running around. Walls had rodent scat on them as well as the bed frames. Couldn’t even stay. Waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

The staff was great, very friendly, but there was a DEAD MOUSE in the bathroom. The 2nd room we moved to also was not clean. Absolutely not! I do appreciate the friendliness of the front desk employees.

Nice hotel

The malfunctioning building fire alarm that went off at 4:30 am was not a positive. A lot of noise from the highway next door...sounded like we had left a window open all night. Staff were great.

They should remove the picture showing the fitness area. I found the area but the area is being used for storage and the treadmill was folded up in the corner and not able to use.

Floors in room were a disaster

The heating unit in our room was very noisy and one of the guests were vaping at 5am so the fire alarm went off!!

They gave us a Handicap Room that smelled like pee. I booked in the morning to get a nice room, but didn't. Came in at 10:15 so was very tired

Stopped for the night on the way back to Michigan from a vacation, just for the night. Our room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. Both ladies that checked us in and out were very nice.

I would have liked to give this hotel a 5 star review because the staff was great, and the hotel overall was very nice. But the walls in our room were filthy. At least the bed/linens, floor, furniture and bathroom were all clean. It was just the walls that were filthy. The breakfast had a nice assortment of foods for a continental breakfast. If you book this hotel, be sure to ask for a room in the front of the building. The back of the building faces a major highway without any sound barrier, which needless to say didn’t make for a good night’s sleep.

You get what you pay for.

The bathroom had flaked paint all over the floor and in the room it looked like it hadn't been used for a long time. There was areas of odd paint likely covering mold. And there were all kinds or holes in the walls that obviously had pictures hung sometime in the past.

Hotel appears older but well maintained. Clean, staff pleasant, room quiet. Would stay again.

One the rooms had scorch marks on both the sprinkler and the smoke alarm, the same room lacked a door chain for security, and the other room had mold in the bathroom.

Quick Overnighter on the Road

This was a great overnight stop when we were too tired to drive all the way back home from an all-day festival. Every human I encountered was exceptionally pleasant, friendly and helpful. What I liked, easy on and off the highway, frictionless and friendly check-in, close to place to eat for dinner. Clean room and comfy bed. What could be better - I was in a second floor room and obviously the building has had a roof leak - stains and mold on the ceiling. For breakfast, would have appreciated an option of yogurt - not just sausage biscuits in a microwave, sugary cereal or waffles. But they did have fresh fruit - Yay!

Grateful for the cozy, quiet getaway

Staff was incredibly kind and helpful! Our room was not as clean as they could have been. Beds and linens were clean, bathroom was clean, but floors and ceilings were very gross and there was mold in the mini fridge. The room also didn't appear to have been dusted in a while either. Overall, it wasn't a bad stay, but likely we would not come here again if we could find other accomodations.

When I arrived, the room was dirty. The floor was sticky with a spill that hadn't been cleaned. There were crumbs and dirty papers on the desk and dirt on all of the bathroom surfaces.

Neighborhood sentiment about property and normal occupancy was not favorable.

No swimming pool, broken vacant cars sitting in the parking lot, not much offered in their free continental breakfast, poor gym, etc.

Check in staff was ok. Didn’t mention any amenities other than WiFi password on key holder. Ice maker broken and when asked where another was, the response was “oh it’s not working again? That is the only one”. Vending snack machine upstairs is empty with a note directing you to see downstairs Pepsi machine (did not see what snacks are in Pepsi vending) Room upon arrival was OK. The floor is a type of faux wood linoleum (?) and was sticky. The a/c was on but room has musty smell walls have chips, small holes and scuff marks. Refrigerator is in room but did not use. Can hear it humming but was too tired for it to prevent me from sleeping this time. Bed was comfortable Bath toilet is very low making it hard for adults to use. The tub has a bar that I had to hold on to to avoid sliding. Not sure if it was just slippery from oils used but tub seemed slight angled? Overall room was clean. Sink has a 4 side light and I didn’t use the hair dryer or iron/ironing board. Did not use WiFi or tv so can’t speak on that. Few people staying on this night but was quiet in my area. Parking good for pulling a trailer. If they were full I don’t know if that might be a concern but large area next to parking where trucks/trailers so I was able to get in and out. No pets allowed which would normally have made me skip this place since I travel with my dog 95% of the time. Also the elevator makes creaky noises and shutters. I’ll be taking the stairs down when I leave.

The stay was fine. The room was clean and everything was functioning.

Bathroom had a dirty washcloth left from previous guest. The TV didn't work unless you paid for premium channels. Breakfast was very skimpy.

Ok for quick stay

This hotel is ok for an quick overnight stay. It was fairly clean and easy to get to off the highway. Not great or excellent but ok.

Stay there twice. On the way to the college World Series one night and back home after the trip.
