It was a good experience. Clean and room was up to date.

Parking lot was in bad shape. Didn't feel safe in the area at all. Rooms were fine, clean and accommodating. Nothing wrong with the hotel itself but the area and parking lot are a mess.

We didn’t even unpack. We walked in and right back out.

Get what you pay for.

This is a regular rat hotel. No biggie. You get what you pay for. But the room was filthy. Not only was there hair on the shower wall when we got there… it stayed there through the second day. So. They came into the room to refresh the room… and didn’t clean anything. Pretty gross. The neighbors were sketchy… but again.. get what you paid for. Our issue was.. check out is at 11. The came INTO our room at 930. Walked in. And were upset that we weren’t gone. So we threw them out. Then again at 1015… while just fresh from the shower… they walk right in asking when we are leaving so they can clean. Also. The amount of literal dirt on the floors and the dusty nasty iron were ridiculous. Thanks guys.

I like the area that it’s in you get what you pay for but nothing was broken everything was clean I was in a smoking room and it hardly smelled of smoke front desk lady was really sweet if I’m ever in town I would definitely come back this is good comparing it to the red roof I stayed at in Montgomery on Ann st.

Sheets and shower curtains had holes in them. TV didnt work half the time. Guy almost walked in on us before check out time. When we first got there, toilet paper was half used. House keeping wouldnt leave enough toilet paper or towels. Honestly, one of the worst ran hotels ive been in. If not THE worst!

On the web site was sold as a free breakfast… I didn’t see anything… The bathroom need a good bleach bath.. I. The floor corners….

I hate giving negative reviews but….

Pros: easy check in. Service was good. The location was fairly quiet. Cons: the smell was almost unbearable. It was like being in a smoking room. The mini fridge was making a loud hum. The TV didn’t work. The sheets has little holes in them. The back of the bathroom door was splattered with something…brown… I would not stay here again.

Staff was friendly overall. Room was clean. Good bed and television. Not a good area. Parking lot has pot holes.

I loved it

Terrible property. Parking lot was a minefield of potholes. The room wasn’t clean. The sheets, towels and floor were dirty. Along with the bathroom toilet and shower. The hair dryer barely worked. Just felt grimey and dirty as a whole. The customer service on checkout day is what really pissed me off. In all my years of staying at hotels checkout has always been at 11 AM. Being woken up by housekeeping before 10 and being forced out of the room is inexcusable. Worst hotel experience my friend and I have ever had. I’ve stayed in Motel 6 places with a better overall experience. Do NOT go to this hotel unless you have no other choice.

The property was half remodeled with me furniture...not good

The room that I was in initially had a sticky substance on the floor then they moved me to another room. The floor was clean, but the ceiling was peeling but I just kept the room. The staff are very nice and professional. Nice prices on the rooms.

Sheets were stained

My mother died and I called to cancel my reservation.a day ahead Very inflexible. Called obits for help but didn't get anywhere. I have used obits in the past but very disappointed with how it all played out.

We checked into the room and found the bathroom had not been cleaned. There were 2 used disposable razors and a pair of underwear in the bathtub. The sink and tub were both dirty. I did not stay and requested a refund. I will never stay at this Red Roof Inn again. Flat out disgusting and unsanitary.

One night, last minute, only two hotels with availability. Fine for an night, pretty clean, area is not great but neither is most of the city.

The entire area and room were completely uninhabitable. The room was disgusting with a foul odor and the parking lot had people loitering and blaring music. I didn’t feel safe or clean after parking and walking in the room.

Bad at the back of woods

I have nevered stayed at a Red Roof INN but it was doing football season and Roll Tide Fans droved prices so for a short trip Red Roof was reasonably price.

It was very clean and the lady at the desk was nice but it was the worst bed ive ever tried to sleep on. I checked out because it was so bad. I travel a lot and stay in hotels a lot but this bed was by far the worst ive ever got

The room was exceptionally clean and odor free. The bed was excellent. The TV remote batteries had to be changed and still didn’t work well but we were only watching late night anyway. All in all it was a good experience but still a bit pricey for a motel it’s age and location.

Room was clean beds comfy Breakfast was meh just prepackaged honeybuns and muffins and cereal but better than nothing I guess.

Good Value

We just left the hotel next door (Columbus Inn &Suites) because our room at that hotel was in terrible shape. The young lady that checked us in was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. The room was very clean and confortable.

Extremely overpriced for location. I assume it was due to demand for LSU vs MSU football game but this room was twice the rate it should have been.

Breakfast needs improving. Otherwise everything was great. Room was very clean and comfortable.

Had a smoking room had to return to service desk for ashtray. Also it was stated I believe there was a coffee pot in room -- no coffee pot. No clear directions for ice machine. Room was so cold you could hang meat. Did try to change temp but did not help. No info for area resturants. Also, this one gets me....contine talk breakfast is not diabetic friendly--- no proteins. Only choice was cereal or pastries. This needs to be upgraded. As for just needing a bed for night this is all the place is good for. Which is what we used it for. However er, not good for long term stays.

good place for the price

the stay was fairly good considering it was a brief overnight stay. the room was clean and comfortable, the beds were comfortable and location to Mississippi State was perfect.

It was very reasonably priced and was part of a larger hotel complex at one time so drive up appeal was not the best. But check in was smooth and the office was clean and the room itself had been completely remodeled and everything was new new so a complete pleasant surprise. It's a great value for the price and I will stay there again.

Found a small roach in my bed. Bed squeaked every time I moved.

the sheets had wholes in them. There was water in the floor, when i dried it up with one of their towels, the towel was black with dirt off the floor. Every time another quest turned on the water you could hear it.

Perfect location for our event. Room was clean. Coffee maker was missing the little tray that held the coffee but that was the only negative.

They need extra linens and towels the ladies have too wash every time an put back on bed They need better cleaning products The air conditioning vent have bad smell they have place for a iron but no iron had too go to office and the Mananger want it back soon. The towel didn’t smell clean need better detergent

could not promise us a smoke free room for second night and no room at all on the third night. My son is extremely allergic to cigarette some. Staying in a smoking room was not and option for us my son did some exercise (running in place). He had to wash his feet before going to bed.

"Rippled" OFF

We mistakenly booked a smoking room and there was no other rooms available. My son has asthma and we could not stay in that room. Hotels.com was willing to refund our money, but the lady "Ripple"would not release the funds back for a refund. The room rate was $179 for the RED ROOF INN, I guess you could say she "RIPPLED" us off. Needless to say, we did not stay there and could not afford to get another room, so we slept in our car at a gas station.

I had a business trip that turned out to be an extended time in the area. I felt at home and very comfortable at the hotel which made my stay much more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly and professional. The general manager Mike and her assistant manager Rimple were on top of every detail. As a project manager I pay close attention to the way that people in management handle themselves and I was very impressed with their level of concern for every detail within the hotel. Overall, I would recommend the Redroof to every one looking for both quality, comfort and value.

Find another hotel

The room smelled. The pillows were awful. The bed sagged in the middle. Sleep was almost impossible. Between the rattling air conditioner, the smell, the pillows, and the bed, I gave up on sleep and just laid there as my child slept. The room had ONE working light bulb, and the light over the vanity. Tried the switch on the wall as we walked in. No, didn't work. It was late at night and very dark outside, then we walked into a dark room. Found a fixture and pushed the button. Nothing. Found and tried another, pushed several times before the light came on. Upon further inspection, it only had one bulb. We left the vanity light on, but that meant the fan stayed on the while time as well. Attempted sleep. In the middle of the night the first light I tried suddenly came on by itself!

Clean but not worth the money

Came for my daughter's graduation at University of Alabama. Not any amenities.Needed iron and board,browed an iron from front desk and ironed on table.Coffee for breakfast was very weak.Juice was rancid,don't think it's been cleaned in while.Staff was friendly though.Not worth the money.

Ok in a pinch

Based on reviews it was much better than expected. It was not new but was clean and comfortable. Bring your own toiletries and pillows. No coffee in room. Just a basic room, but it was not bad. It was grad weekend and only room available, so all in all it was satisfactory. Our room was a non smoking room with a king size bed.
