Immaculate property in a very convenient location

Loved our stay at Raumati Sands so much we extended an extra night from our original booking. Our apartment was immaculate, had great amenities and was quiet. Lovely pool area. Beach, park, cafes and restaurants all within a 1-2min walk. We look forward to staying again next year.

Close proximity to beach and so close to restaurants and shops.

The location was good. There were shops, cafes, bakeries, takeaways and a pub within walking distance. The beach was within walking distance too. There was a small swimming pool and sun terrace that was relaxing.

A great location and excellent room with plenty of space to relax and unwind. The staff were friendly and helpful. Have stayed here before and would stay again.

Such a beautiful stay. We just pulled in to Raumati and booked online by the time we got there it was ready and he had just got paperwork. Lovely stay had everything there. And reception was superb love the high energy and very welcoming.

Ok but staff unhelpful.

The ‘self parking onsite’ is a Wilson car park down the road. The lady at check in didn’t know how to charge so I ended up paying $15 for 30 mins then $70 on top for a 48 hour ticket I sourced myself. Booked a 2 bed apartment advertised as having 2 king size beds. Fact was 2 singles in each room. When I questioned this with the same lady in reception said ‘that’s just how we do things here’. Long wait for the lifts. Overall location to centre is good. Just major roadworks around the hotel makes it difficult to access.

What a great unit layout, super spacious, clean and quiet. The host gave us great recommendations on where to eat and beach walk access . Would stay here again!!

I loved my stay here, it was quiet and a relaxed family vibe. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they recommended the Thai restaurant down the road as one of the best in Wellington, and it was delicious!! The beach is just across the road and there are many good places to eat/explore just around the corner as well. Would highly recommend staying here.

Great place to stay! Right by the beach with really good amenities for a longer stay. The apartment was really spacious and comfortable with a pool and spa to boot. Room also has a spa bath. Shops and resteraunt s are less than 50m away and the entrance to Raumati Beach is even closer. Recommend it to all

The property is so handy for cafes and the beach. It is well looked after and the has a lovely pool.

Everything was perfect, just one small issue was the beds were hard and after 4 nights we all had sore backs 😔

Great location across the street from the beach access. Beautiful well maintained unit. Two large bedrooms. Excellent pool. Provided information about neighborhood on our arrival. Highly recommended.

People in Apartment above extremely noisy till after midnight, and sgain at 4.30am 2 out of our 3 night stay. Light on balocony flashing all night. Tried to complain. No one answered ofgice buzzer.

I hope that the very pld double bed is replaced very soon. I had to sleep in the single one.

Property was more cramped than the pictures made it appear. Owner was very friendly and helpful but second floor apartment was a long way to carry bags.

Warm welcome at Reception and accommodation was spacious with everything we needed. Just a few minutes walk to the beach, local shopping and nice restaurants. Short drive to Queen Elizabeth Park and shopping centre in Paraparaumu and Kapiti island is just off the coast. We enjoyed our stay.

Apartment was very welcoming and spacious It was well quipped with easy access to pool area and had its own parking bay.

Great location and facilities. Close to restaurants, cafes, grocery options and bottle store. Beach very close (you can hear the ocean) and great kids playground across the road. Lovely friendly owners and staff.

Great spot, little gem tucked away in unexpected spot..walking distance to beach, cafes close, beautiful pool. Car parking quite tight. Rooms were perfect, enough space and clean and well presented. Kitchen had everything needed, all the basics.

Absolutely lovely place - accomodation immaculate and large and spacious. Great sitting area and kitchen was fantastic. Easy to walk to the beach and local shops. The owners recommended the local Thai restaurant and it didnt disappoint. Enjoyed a swim in the pool and the spa. Amazing place, only stayed 1 night but wished we stayed longer. Would highly recommend!

This property is superb. We were very happy with our stay, lovely comfortable and warm spacious unit with everything we needed. The beds are comfy. The hosts were very helpful and friendly. We loved the pool and spa. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to stay again (in summer preferably so we can enjoy the beach and surrounding areas). :)

We tend to book last minute due to our schedules. Normally last minute rooms are pretty average. This was excellent! Bigger and nicer than expected and lovely staff. Will try to book ahead for this one in the future.

Great location, spacious Unit, needs revitalizing

Comfortable and spacious. Excellent location. New owners, very pleasant. Carpet and drapes tired and need cleaning or changing. Shower over bath = a very slipoery surface, no non slip mat available in bathroom. No dishwasher tablets or laundry powder available in Unit. Car parking is tight.

Love this place

In all the place was fantastic, but I will never book through Expedia again, their lack of communication and not being able to get hold of anyone when I had unfortunate circumstances was awful. The resort itself was amazing and Paul was very helpful, would stay there again in a heartbeat, but will call them direct next time!

A central location to Paraparaumu Beach and dining locations combined with an excellent apartment and heated pool made for a very enjoyable stay.

We loved the salt water pool and spa, and we were pleasantly surprised to have a super king bed in our room so we got a great night's sleep each night.

From the moment i arrived i got a bad vibe from the man at recpetion. I felt i was being judge from the get go. I told reception i had my kid over for a BBQ but wont be staying the night. Our friend joined us for a BBQ and then to take the kids afterwards. We had a few drinks as it was a girls night however the man checked on us a few times which i thought was quite rude. We also found a dirty sanitary pad in the bottom toilet, which did not belong to us. Thats didnt sit right with us. As i was already feeling uncomfortable from this receptionist, i didnt complain cause he probably would think it was our own. Ive stayed a few times here, never again. Experience was ruined the moment i stepped foot at reception. Even when i was leaving he ran up to the car to question me again about how many of us stayed. So rude.

Rooms were nice, clean and modern. To get the power working you actually have to slot the card in which is very clever, saves power but also when you leave you you take the card, it would be nice if you could leave the heatpump during the time your out as its freezing this time of year. Also booking through expedia it never said the pool wouldnt be heated, get there and it was freezing, they dont heat the pool for a period of time throughout the year. The spa was small but the kids enjoyed it. Close to shops and the beach. Shower over jet bath which is a struggle to get in and out, the floors can become very slippery..

All You Need

I had a wonderful stay. We were spontaneously upgraded, and had a 4-person unit to ourselves (a couple). The pool was clean and attractive. We spent the afternoon there as others came and went. Plenty of seating and good temps in the pool and spa. Great jacuzzi tub in the bathroom, too. Everything in the kitchen was clean – no bugs. Could have done with some sprucing up in the lounge and bedroom i.e. coverlet needed replacing and the mattress was pretty hard. If I'd been there longer, this might have bothered me. And then I would have hopped in the spa and forgotten all about it.

Home away from home. Beautiful apartment with beautiful surrounds. Will definitely be back to stay again. Family wedding and many family members stayed too. Everyone very pleased with our accommodation and service.

Nice but needs some upgrades

nice but needs some upgrades to be superb. Shower drainage is terrible, and needs duvets on the beds (had to turn the electric blanket on in January!). Pool area was nice and the front desk staff were very helpful

We have stayed here several times and always love it. This time we were placed in a unit beside the managers accommodation, and next time I would definitely ask for a room much further away as we kept having to close doors and windows due to the constant smell of cigarette smoke.

Loved everything about our stay. The balcony was fantastic to be able to be outside and the pool was lovely. It was great to be able to walk to restaurants , bars and the beach

Perfect place!

This is the best place we have stayed at ever. We book motels all over nz and nothing is even close to how magnificent this place is. Staff are awesome also. This is our go to.when ever we go kapiti coast ways.

Great place - 10/10

We cannot fault this place! The apartment was clean, spacious, sunny and well equipped and maintained. There was a heat pump in the lounge area as well as the bedroom upstairs, which kept us warm. The bed was comfortable and the shower was great, and internet connection was strong. We stayed two nights and found the area (which we are familiar with) had lots of cafes/restaurants in close walking distance. (We didn't use them as the kitchen in the apartment was so good.) We would highly recommend this place.

A pleasant stay, with excellent heating options as well. The bed was comfortable, however, the DVD player was not working and only played in black and white. As there were limited TV options we purchased a DVD to watch and was disappointed not to be able to watch it.

Lovely and warm with the heat pumps down and upstairs. Very cosy and homely. We only spent a night but wished we could have stayed longer. We will be back.

The rooms were very tidy, clean & modern. Excellent & powerful double shower in the room which I loved! Nice spa, but would have been good if it had jet bubbles! Was a shame the pool wasn't heated as advertised as my daughter was looking forward to a swim. Some mini toiletries would have been nice in the room, but the other facilities & supplies in the room like tea and coffee were fantastic. More plunger coffee sachets would have been awesome, as it was super yummy!

Beautiful place, definitely coming back again and really good for your money! However shouldn’t advertise free wifi as this was non existent, just wouldn’t work on any device for the two nights we were there which was surprising for this day and age, couldn’t conduct any work the whole weekend and would happily pay a higher price on the rooms for working internet, we did call twice as well but unsure they were aware how to fix it... Overall 8/10 and again will still come back and recommend to everyone

Without even being requested we were given an upgrade which was absolutely amazing! Our room was heated on arrival! What a great Motel!!

Owners made our stay very comfortable. As we were a later check in they had made sure the room was warm for our arrival.
