This is my third time to stay in this hotel, base on the cost, it totally worthy, all the staff very nice and professional, house keeping is work hard and responsible. The only thing not good is too many transfer traveler, you can magic over 5 rooms travelers check in or check out at the same time, how busy at the corridor you can tell. Anyway, it still a good hotel I recommended and will come back again.
Room get too dusty. Too many groups of tourists arriving late and leaving early, therefore creating too much noise. Most staffs are friendly.
The property is little older, but the room is clean and spacious, all the staff has a nice smile and professional, let me feel like a home. It's nothing to complain, but it has too many travelers transfer, they are staying one night, so when so many traveler check in at the night time, and check out next early morning, it will have lot of noisy making outside you can hear. Anyway, thank you for their serving, and for sure come back again next time in Hong Kong.
This property not I expected like a hotel, when it’s rainy day, we must bring with umbrella to my room. The bathroom was too small and still used the shower curtain in the small area.
Hong Kong is a great place to visit. The staff was nice. However, the room was not thoroughly cleaned and the hot water was but very hot and did not stay hot long.
6.5/10
Check in was a breeze. Hotel shower had stains on the walls. Didn’t look like where the water spout was, was cleaned. Also a stain on one of my pillows.
Walk too far to the hotel, no direction to show the name of this hotel, the shower room is too small and still using the shower curtain like ages. Nothing to say to enjoy my holidays.
Bad exprence
Booked for a larger room but given a very small standard room. Next room was making a lot of noise even late at night, and early morning. We stayed at the hotel before with the bigger room, but this time the exprience was very poor.
At night the corridor noisy
dirty room
Hotel is average nothing special
The room prices are affordable. The room size is relatively big compared to the price. Cleanliness is not top but acceptable. The guest services, front desk services and housekeeping could reach 4 stars hotels. But the conditions of the hotel are poor, out dated. Washrooms were covered with rotten smell. It's pretty noise due to the traffic. Lots of trucks going in the container port early in the morning. No dinning and laundry facilities. Isolated from the city. Shuffle bues is the only transportation going to the MTR 2 station.
The room is too dark n no heat in the cold days.
Good location as it’s closer to the airport and Disneyland. The train station is easy to get to by taking the bus 88F. For the price I paid to stay, I think it’s fair to say it’s a decent and fair priced hotel. Shouldn’t expect too much from it
It’s a ok property, rooms are clean with rock hard beds so very sleep deprived. There are high turn over of tourist/guest which make it hard to relax as you constantly hear them talk day and night.
rooms are too small and your offer of no welcome gift to arrival even just a bottle of water - you have no coffee tea milk just 2 cups but where is the spoons do we use our fingers?? TV no movie channels for westerners.
Friendly and helpful staff including housekeepers and maintenance team.
Last minute booking
The hotel looks out to the container terminal. Would class this as a budget hotel. Only bath towels are provided. No hand or face towels. The service desk staff are a bit snappy. 3 times my key lost the data and failed to open the room. Each time the service desk renewed the data and snapped to keep the key away from mobile phones. Has not happened at any other hotel. Room was dated and could do with a fresh coat of paint. Also shower only had shower curtains so room had a musky damp smell. Asked to change rooms, but second one was the same. Slight improvement so couldn’t bother changing again.
The bathroom was flooded most of the time, there is only one place to eat within walking distance, front desk staff not helpful, but one of the housing staff was excellent (always cheerful and helpful), she was the only reason why the place got two stars instead of one (zero if it was available).
Value for money..But noisy
It is value for money. But the other customers are noisy and inconsiderate when they move along the walk way. One point to note is the service staffs are excellent though.
Good location for the business I had
Good location for the business I had
It was quite convenient to hop to the airport and back several times as well as going back and forth to Hong Kong Central. The front house staff were entirely very pleasant people.. Would recommend the place.
Good access from the Tsing Yi airport express station. My 2nd time but this time got a smelly room.
Inconvenience location, less shop and restaurant, taxi is major transportation, staff friendly, room is very spacious. Against to the cost, fair deal.
convenient and transportation.
The staff are very helpful.
I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very friendly and very helpful.
Unpleasant hotel stay
Floor is not clean, no table, all the furniture are outdated and broken. No hooks for hanging clothes, bed is not comfortable. No USB plug.
Good price, friendly staff. Has mini bus just walking distance from hotel, and more bigger buses across the main road. Lots of taxis pass by. Swimming pool at $40 hkd per adult. But rooms are dusty and a little mouldy. The down feather bedding has lots of dust and feathers in the room, they need to use a vacuum to clean and change to new blanket and pillows. Bed is extra firm, too hard for me. Lacking toiletries, they only provide one 2-in-1 soap attached to shower wall.
Easy transportation to and from MTR. The hotel only provide shuttle bus two times a day, don't rely on it. A small shopping mall is around the corner.
lift
Excellent hotel
The room looks way smaller than it appears in pictures. No towel (not even hand towel) nor tissue were provided in the room. No air conditioning in hallway and hallway was basically like a balcony but once you get in your room, you get freezing cold because you can’t change the temp in your room. Bed was tiny and mattress was hard. Area was unsafe due to construction on a one way street, hotel was filled with mainland tourist. I work as a flight attendant and I have stayed at countless hotels, this was definitely one of the worst stay in my opinion. You really do get what you pay for.
The Rambler was affordable and one of the only hotels in Tsing Yi. It lost points for cleanliness. I don’t mind old and certainly don’t mind outdated hotels but cleanliness cannot be missed. It was so bad I had to request for a new room. Check-in was a long wait. When first entering the room, you get hit with a nasty smell. Then I looked at the toilet, walls, fridge and realized it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. The dirt build up was strong. The sheets were surprisingly clean. The towels felt like they were washed a million times and lost the nice feeling. After I requested a new room, they showed it and had me decide before making the switch. I was immediately hit with the same smell but at least it was cleaner. We had to cram 3 people into a “king bed.” No worries though, we were just there for 1 night. The staff were very nice and they were amazing. It’s just the facility itself needs better upkeep. I think better humidity control will help the smell.
The room is too small for 3 people. The cleanliness is average. The transport is ok as there is a minibus connected to Tsingyi and Kwai Fong MTR station. The best thing is the 200m swimming pool. It's the first time I swim in a such long swimming pool.
Good value for price
Excellent value for price if you are willing to lower your expectations. The room was somewhat small and the furniture a little tired and some damaged. There’s also a small fridge in the room. Cleanliness is pretty much bare minimum. The sheets and bathrooms were clean, so that’s all I really cared out. No food available inside the hotel, but there’s a small mall under the hotel and you do need to walk 3 mins to access it. There’s a grocery store and restaurants there. There’s no direct access to the pool, but you can buy tickets to get access at the lobby and walk next door to the Rambler Club to get access. You have to bring your own towels, but you do have access to the changing rooms there. As for transport, there are 2 mini bus on site that will bring you to the Tsing Yi and Kwai Fong MTR stations. You do have access to the city busses, but you have to walk up the hill to the Main Street. The elevators can be slow during peak times, as the hotel is heavily used by tour groups. As for noise, we didn’t have much issues other than random people talking loud or slamming doors late at night when they checked in. We stayed here for 2 weeks and it was enjoyable.
For the price we pay for, it is reasonable. Honestly, not clean at all!! Honestly it is not so hard to clean better.
The room is dirty, and we even can saw hair and dusts on the bed. At mid night, the air conditioner dropped ice hails and very much frightened us! Not come back again!
The place is quiet and comfortable to stay. Staff are kind and helpful.
Inside the property has no dining area. There was a long walk to find something to eat but limited choice. Most the shops were empty. Won't consider next time.
high charges
I have asked the front desk to print out 9 pages of A4 papers for me, they have charged me 100.00 HK$, I was chocked.
Good
Can't fault it.very helpful staff
Not enough plugs
It was okay.
There is no check out paper and I don't know how much will I get charged for staying in the the hotel.
I loved the pool available at the hotel it was gorgeous and also so convenient to have hotel close to so many restaurants that delivers through food panda. A great family hotel and great having hotel staff available 24 hrs to help! Would definitely visit again.
Location is a little far from the city but close to airport. Room is small and no desk for my laptop. No small towel and bath mat are provided during my nine days stay.
We rented this hotel because the price for its most basic room (about 154 sq ft) during the May 1 "Golden Week " of Chinese holidays was low compared with other hotels. We have no complaints about its cleaniless, courtesy of its staff and service. However, we will not rent a basic room at this hotel again in the future for the following reasons: (1) the room was small. As a result, the bathroom was so small that there was barely enough room to turn around. Besides, the shower area is a step down from the floor and not safe for us the seniors. There was also not enough room to put all our personal toiletries. (2) There was only one towel (a bath towel) for each person. There was no hand soap for the sink. We had to use the 3-in-1 shampoo/conditioner/ body wash as hand soap every time we needed to wash our hands. With regard to its location, there is not much in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. About a 7 minute walk from the hotel is a small indoor shopping center with a small supermarket, a few stores and restaurants. The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to a mini-bus stop, where you may take the 88F to the Tsing Yi subway station (about 10 min), or the 88G to the Kwai Fong subway station(about 15 min or longer), where both have a mall and plenty of restaurants and shops nearby.
Older hotel a little far from city but close to airport. No bath mat and small hand/face towel provided. Staff is always helpful and pleasant to deal with. Good value for HK hotel.
It was a nice experience staying at this hotel
Shuttle buses
Great Service and helpful staff
Very helpful and nice staff. The bed was not firm so my back felt stiff every night. The elevators were packed every night I came back and took forever to go up. Other than that, stay was great and have no complaints
James was very helpful at the front desk. They are very welcoming towards foreigners.
達不到酒店級數 房間簡陋,連放物品的櫃檯都沒有,設備陳舊,
Good
It was good
The restroom have smell, staff not helpful, when I asked can they help to book a taxi send me to airport next day early morning 5am, they refuse and told me I can wait it earlier in lobby next day to get the taxi. The room is very old and may need some maintenance.
average
Not really in proper condition as per what’s shows on web pictures. Location, not really convenience and difficult to find transportation.
For HK it was relatively cheap but the rooms in the photos looked much bigger and cleaner... getting to & from requires taxis which arent often there WiFi not that great coverage Staff was friendly though.
Worst location
No Washroom facility or drinking water available for hotel guess especially I did arrived hotel at 6 am waiting for hotel room till 2 pm,( what if I needed a cup of water for medicine ) still no, I don't mind to pay for a cup of water or cup of coffee, however, is not available
The hotel is fine just smelt like days inn special of someone who’s sessioned in there for two days, its not looking good bruv
The price is good
Cheap stay
Overall okay for short stay
Friendly staffs. Needs a longer commute time. Mini bus to MTR stations. Small room with two beds.
It is worth it.
The size of the room is very decent for a solo traveller and the price is very acceptable during the year end travelling. The transport is very convenient and you can travel to the urban areas easily.
Reasonable accommodation, value for money. Friendly staff
Price consideration and room is packed. Not so convenient as you need to rely on minibus or taxi to get to MTR for other locations, although there is a A32 airbus not far outside the hotel.
Clean and bright inside, quiet room and spacious.
The room is dirty. My skin feels itchy after staying there for a night. The shuttle bus driver didn’t allow you getting on the shuttle bus with a big suitcase. The hotel said it’s not their responsibility, it depends whether the shuttle bus driver’s decision.
The hotel is too crowded. The room is terribly small with nothing inside except a bed. The elevator is always full. Terrible!!!!
Thats a great choice for a short stay or hourly stays.
Need to pay for drinking water
Worst place to stay in
Bad experience
The room was very different from the one we saw on web. It was like a cell rather than a room. Nothing inside the room except a bed. The space was so small that we could not push our luggage through to the closet.
Room is very tight. No face towel, hand towel and floor towel provided at all. Place is far from MTR
Non smoking room and area smelled cigerette smoke; Only 2 towels provided; only 1 electric outlet available (1 connected to frig and another to phone); Location of electric outlet hard to reach; no drinking water supply. Room price reasonable between $80 to $100. (Better than hostel.) However the earlier you booked, the higher price you paid. Terrible behavior of the tour guests especially jamming into the elevators.
The Hotel staff has been helpful in assisting with charging my phone. Thank you.
The cleanliness of the room was very bad, the floor was clearly not even swept. There was no hand soap, no hand towels and we requested an extra towel but they refuse to give us one. The cleanliness of the hotel hallways is also very bad, dust, hair all around. Location is good, you are 6 minutes away in bus from a metro station or can walk on the pier and it’s a 15 min walk. There is a plaza so you have a convenience store and small supermarket.
It’s not the cleanest but it’s doable. You get what you are paying for basically. Besides that, everything is good.
Disappointing
Overall we were quite disappointed about this hotel. - Our 'Superior room' was clean, but very small. - Their website advertises for ‘free shuttle’ to the MTR, but it only runs once early in the morning. - The room had a kettle, but there were no complimentary coffee or tea bags. - The bathroom had a cheap liquid soap, but there were no complimentary shampoos etc. - There were 2 towels, but no hand towels or face cloths. - The pool (shown and listed on the website) was closed. The 'Sky Garden' was also closed. - There were no meals/breakfast available in the hotel, and the only other nearby hotel that offered meals closed early one day and was ‘closed for private functions’ the next day. - Check-in took nearly 2 hours. - The duty manager was unreasonable and woke us with a phone call at 11.45pm. - We will never stay in this hotel again and warn anyone looking at booking to very carefully read the small-print and be prepared for an unpleasant time while staying there.
The room is too small & not enough supply in bathroom.
Front desk very helpful and nice , well trained staffs , can’t complain anything
Those front desk peoples were very helpful , even I saw some pissed off customers yelling on them but they still doing their duties very professionally , well done boys ! Keep it up !
No hot water for vanity sink or shower. I started my shower with a steady stream of hot water, after 3 minutes into shower the water turned cold. I tried to call Housekeeping, the Reception, Front desk, the Manager etc all failed. No body answered the calls. No voice mail was available.
Good service a clean room
I dislike the property are not enough electric outlet. Also, I believe there were a bed bugs that not clean. I got bite several spots on my legs and hand.
Not good !!
Nothing was included, literally just a bed for sleeping!!!
I called the front desk many times and no answer. The place is dirty. Some guests put garbage outside their rooms. I saw ants on the corridor. This hotel is terrible.
The room was small but it was comfortable. (HK standard ). 7 minute walk from the bus stop going to Tsing Yi -MTR. The property was a bit run down but if you're not choosy and you just need a place to sleep, I would recommend this hotel.
Bad pay for the pool 40 hk$
Not goot very smal room no resto so no breakfast need to go to other hotel to ask for a breakfast Never had to pay for a hotel pool must pay 40 hk$ to go swim Will never go there sgain
bad house keeping
Satisfied, good hotel
Limited in-room AC Outlet, USB Charging Ports unavailable in-room. Transportation a little inconvenient.
The hotel does not give you the room shown in the picture of Expedia. In fact they abuse the site by bundling pictures of a few different room types into the same room type. Then they decide to give you a worse room than you paid for so they can sell the better room to someone else at a higher price. It’s pretty shady. The rooms we stayed at is even smaller than a cruise interior cabin and less ergonomically considerate. So you can imagine how cluster phobic the experience is. Stay away for your own sanity.
Located in a quiet area. Average size rooms and bathrooms. But lots of hot water, bed was more comfy than previous stays and staff were more friendly and helpful this trip compared to other visits. Our room was missed by house keeping twice. Free wifi. Bar fridge. Busses close by. Park n shop and Cafe d coral underneath apartment block
The location is quite as you have to take mini van pay extra cost connecte to/from subway. The room I got very dusty and floor was dirty. The staff is nice overall.

Terrible experiences
The room was much larger than I expected , but 3 sockets in the room does not work . I cannot charged any of my equipments
