The pool and swim up bar was a great facility. We did have issues with mould in our aircon unit - this did get resolved eventually. Staff were most worried about getting us to join their timeshare which they didn’t accept our decline the first time. They then called us to ask again - once again declined. They then left a flyer under our door with more incentive to join - didn’t respond. I then received a phone call (which I assumed was regarding the mould in our a/c unit) however no, it was regarding joining the timeshare AGAIN - declined for the FOURTH time it was like a cult. Probably wouldn’t stay again just for that reason. Room service was good & food is decent, don’t agree with the $5 delivery fee to deliver your food from the kitchen to pool chairs which is about 10 metres away.
We had a lovely stay. The staff were excellent and the services were professional. However, the property was a little tired. The glass panel that separated the shower room and the toilet seat was too small/narrow. It's impossible not to have water spilled (overflowing) onto the bathroom floor. Parking was easy. Its only a 5 min drive away to the Port Douglas town centre.
Rooms were a bit old
The property was beautiful. The staff were exceptional.
Great pool
We are missing our health insurance paperwork and in the envelope was $200 usd and approximately $100 usd in Indonesia cash. We are travelling and realized it’s missing. Very concerning 😢
Great place to stay
Its like living in a tropical paradise, thw rooms are lovely and spacious, great size bathroom, the pool is the best, the walk to the beach is relaxing, overall its 10/10, such a beautiful chill place to come and unwind
Love the gardens
The property menu lacked variety. I was disappointed that upon arrival I was almost forced to attend a 90 minute seminar for a $100 restaurant voucher. I declined. The gardens were beautiful as was the pool/pool area. The shuttle service were great and very convenient going to and from the main town of Port douglas. An overall pleasant stay.
We love it so much, we’re coming back !
Fantastic place to stay. Love the resort and the staff. Parking is not the best but the gardens, pool and rooms make up for it.
We only booked a short stay at Ramada hotel but now wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel grounds are gorgeous and there is convenient access to the pool and restaurant. We had two meals at the restaurant and both times were excellent. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Beds are super comfy too. Also loved the shower! Can’t fault the place. We were sorry to leave.
Kid friendly and great pool for a family.
The stay was excellent although they need staff who speak better English being a Australian resort, as noticed most staff at food beverage were foreign work visa backpackers, room was clean but had to ask staff for basic things like toilet paper to be replenished which should of been checked and adequate supplies
We had noisey children next door that woke extremely early and played in their room, so I’d request a room away from the games room maybe this would assist in being further from ‘family rooms’ The pool is amazing, food a bit pricey but convenient and taste. Nola and George at the reception were extremely helpful in assisting getting our stay right.
Clean rooms, good service
Not quite up to expectations based on advertised information. Extremely limited dining and bar services.
Very relaxing.
We liked the pool and gardens
A great place for a quick getaway
I arrive very early 2 hours before check-in time, i was happy to just leave my bags at reception. To my surprise they made my room available within 10 minutes of me arriving. The resort host was more than happy to give information about Port Douglas what to do and how to get around. After the very helpful service from the reception I made my way to my room. It was big and very clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable which meant I had 3 amazing nights sleep. Loved the property and the beach is 2 minutes walk. Great place and would definitely visit again.
This place is great. The only knock is they kept trying to sell us time share and kept asking when we said no and we didn’t sign up for the discount if you went to the presentation. That’s nothing to do with the enjoyment of the place. Everything was really good especially the pool and dining. Wifi is poor though. Good for families or couples but take / hire a car. So much to do in the area will will have to come back next year
Fantastic little break, weather was on point, such a tranquil place to relax.
Great place to stay and easy to get around the area. Will come again!
Despite being informed it was family friendly and we had stayed previously, this was not the case. We have a 15 and 13 year old (soon to be 16 & 14) so as you could imagine, it is somewhat difficult to get them engaged into activities. The first day we were there was a Thursday afternoon and we played pool with our boys in the afternoon. On the Friday we were able to use going to play pool as a carrot to get the boys out into Port Douglas and by saying we would come home and play pool. We were informed that no one under the age of 16 was allowed to play pool. I said that there was parental supervision. They were not willing to discuss it.. I asked to speak to the manager and the gentleman told me that he was the manager and I said I was unhappy with their decision and that we would not be staying at the resort again nor we spend a cent. That is exactly what happened. We went through our meals outside of the resort and we did not spend a cent within the resort and we will not be returning. This may seem petty but playing pool was the only carrot we had for our teenage boys. We did note that there was plenty of younger children playing pool without the pool sticks and not treating it appropriately!
Beware, this is a “born again timeshare” with fairly aggressive attempts by staff
The reception staff were very polite and welcoming. The presentation of the hotel on arrival was very good. We booked a self catering apartment which had cooking facilities and kitchen equipment as per the expedia advertisement but when we got in the room it had a fridge and kettle with cups and glasses and nothing more. We asked reception and they said the listing on expedia was wrong, we asked for a toaster but was told due to health and safety that was forbidden in our room. We asked for crockery and cutlery which they did supply so ended up having to eat out for all meals. The pool area was modernly designed but not exactly as you would expect from a ramada, leaves everywhere, dirty sunbeds so didnt spend much time at the pool. Some of the bar staff were lovely but then others were just plain rude and when you asked for something like a serviette it was as if i had asked them to walk to town for it. We went to the bar one evening during there open hours (1.5hrs before closing) and asked for a latte of which we were told the machine had been cleaned so would have to have coffee in our room. So going back to our room- on arrival the room appeared clean and tidy however under the bed was a blanket of dirty and dust with pieces of food and wrappers presumably from the previous occupiers. The headboard and behind the cupboards were covered in dust. No room service other than changing the towels occasionally and i had to ask for fresh bedding to change the bed during our 16 day
I stayed for four nights with my three year old and mum (visiting from the UK) and we had the best time. The apartment was clean, and we loved the swimming pool and convenience to the beach, and everywhere in Port Douglas. The staff were so helpful and friendly and full of many recommendations. We would definitely go back, and recommend.
Facilities were great, clean and friendly staff. No hesitations to come back
Thanks for having us! Everything we could need at the resort. Staff very friendly and happy to help in any way
Facilities average standard, service needs improve
i feel the hotel has been overrated. the facilities are there but not as impressive as the photos show. the gym is small and not very inviting. The most disappointing part is their wifi broke down but they did not tell us until we found out from other guests after check in. in this day and age internet should be given high priority and guests should be advised in advance and given the choice to go elsewhere with no penalty. and they refused to mitigate the damage by giving any compensation. In fact I did turn down another hotel previously just because they do not offer free internet access. There is a serious shortage of sockets in the room but at least an assistant provided a power extension cord to solve the problem. And the safe also was not working.
The tropical garden feel and the gorgeous swimming pool was very lush. Our 1 bedroom apartment was perfect for our family of 3. The kitchen had everything needed for our 5 night stay. The only negatives were, the size of the bathroom was on the small side and the shower tended to flood the whole bathroom floor. The greeting at check in was a bit too much after a very long day of travel, the hard sell was put on us at a time when all we wanted to do, was get to our room and get out of our travelling clothes and perhaps use our bathroom after such a long journey. Over all the experience was a good one. And I would stay there again.
We had a great stay at the Ramada! The staff was immediately welcoming and gave us directions and recommendations of where to eat in the area. The room was spacious. We dined at the restaurant for breakfast and it’s a great option to have on the premise. Though we didn’t use the pool, it looked wonderful! It is located a bit outside of town but there are regular local shuttles that you can pay for to get into town and back. It was convenient and made our lives much easier when figuring out how to get around. We would recommend the Ramada.
Quiet. Friendly.
Overall great: lost water for 2 days but we managed. Spacious rooms and easy pool access the highlight.
Beautiful grounds, clean room, great pool, friendly staff, swim up bar :)
We love it here... we'll be back.
Excellent resort will be going back !
Very clean and nice rooms. Staff were very friendly
Toilet tissue holder design is terrible, the entire roll of paper comes off very easily.
Cool atmosphere. Room was spacious but in need of updates in the bathroom - comfortable though so it’s just a preference
Very pleasant resort close to beach!
Room not as advertised.
Booked Standard King room upon checkin room was nothing like what is shown online. The room I received was old, had some minor refurbishment done but nothing like images online. The photos online show new refurbished rooms with walk in showers however my room was old and had to step into the bath to shower. Also the only GlutenFree option on the breakfast menu was a bowl of fruit salad and no other options. Luckily I was only sleeping here whilst attending a conference in another nearby resort.
The staff was amazing! We had an issue with our ac. They fixed the problem right away. Pool was great for kids! Thanks for a great stay!
a
Great
Had a great time. Will choose Ramada PD again. A big Thankyou to Lucy and Noli at reception. We appreciate everything you both did to make our stay fun and enjoyable.
Next time will be a longer stay!
Lovely stay, great amenities and friendly staff.
Very quiet and clean with good amenities and pool
no cooking facilities
Nice stay but property could be updated.
Staff
I like the outdoor pool and pond area. Very relaxing.
Ramada was a comfortable, easy going resort with a really nice setting and great facilities. The staff were always friendly and very helpful. Would always consider staying there again if going back to Port Douglas.
The Ramada is a lovely place to stay. The staff are excellent, pool is nice and warm, and the standard hotel room was spacious and comfortable. It is a little out of town but the shuttles run all the time so not a problem. The dining menu at the Ramada is a little limited but otherwise I had a great stay.
We had a lovely few days at this resort. We were very pleasantly surprised about how aesthetically pleasing the accommodation facilities were and the resort was very well appointed for the price point. Incredible value for money for what you get. 10/10 staff friendliness and customer service. Perfect for a family or couple. Local shuttles running all day and well into the night made this a very convenient place to stay. Highly recommend this resort.
Front office and restaurant staff were fantastic. Room was clean and comfortable. Only negative was going to the Wyndham Holiday Time Share presentation where the staff here were initially very welcoming but pressed very hard to make you sign up. When we said we needed more time than an hour to decided on spending thousands of dollars, attitudes changed very quickly to the negative. To be fair, we did get $100 towards our stay and a bottle of wine but we wouldn’t recommend people to go to the presentation or sign up to the deal.
Good location and resort
We had two nights here. The ladies on the front desk were very welcoming and friendly. Unfortunately the lift was still not working (others have commented on this) so had to drag all our cases (were in Australia awhile) up to level 3. Room a little on the tired side but was clean and spacious. Short walk to beach. Nice pool area. Would stay again.
Good for the price
Dirty
Room was not cleaned , Reception said they only do a light clean, nothing done except for coffee changed . Blood stain sheets weren't replaced . Had to get replacement towels from reception . Hotel also didn't honor gold status benefits. Had to park in the street due to a number of caravans and campers and overfull skips , using multi car parking spaces . Lift weren't working , hotel not suitable for disabled persons. Location was good , pool was clean and landscaping was nice . overall was dirty and lack of modernization and a lack of TLC .
Such a beautiful setting and friendly staff. Definitely coming back to stay.
We couldn’t sleep due to the thin walls. You can hear people shower, talk, babies cry, you name it. If someone does it and you have an adjoining room you are going to know about it as the walls are not insulated enough. One night we listened to our neighbour pee. We asked reception for a room change or ear plugs but they had a hard no policy. We had to just cop it. Two nights of no sleep, so we were glad we were out of there at the end. Such a shame as the facilities and the access to the beach was great. Only a 35 minute beach walk to town and the pool was nice. I’d avoid if you are needing to unwind.
We'll be back!
We arrived and did not expect how stunning it was. I must have been looking at old pictures or something. The resort was more of a tropical hideaway and we wish we stayed longer. With a lovely restaurant, pool, friendly staff, and places to relax, we lacked nothing. It is a bit of a walk from town but taxis are always coming by. The resort also helped significantly in helping book transit to and from Cairns airport. You will not regret a stay here!
It is a great place to stay, specially if you have your own transport, it’s about 2km from the shops area. Like the heated pool surrounded by tropical plants. Relaxing poolside dining area. Nice food.
Pool chlorine issues..my swimmers are ruined. Bed sheets didn't fit and made sleeping quite uncomfortable (even though bed itself could have been very comfy. limited parking......otherwise, lovely venue, staff were great and helpful. nice and quiet, well looked after
We had a group of 9 staying for a long overdue catch-up. The resort suited our needs perfectly as we wanted a place to relax where we could do everything without having to travel outside the resort if we didn’t want to. It’s very easy and cost effective to get around using the local shuttle service. The room my partner and I stayed in was excellent. Much bigger than we expected a standard hotel room to be. The bed was comfy, it had a sofa and desk area, it even had a bath! The pool was shaded and was a great spot to hang out. The swim up bar and daily cocktail specials made our stay fun. The only downside was that the pool completely bleached our swimmers so they are now unwearable. The resort menu is also quite limited for people with dietary restrictions. We enjoyed ourselves at this resort and would recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing break where you can just chill out.
Wouldn't stay again with current reception staff
The resort itself is okay, aging Abit, food and drink priced like a resort ( too be expected) and there isn't a whole lot to do at the resort except swim, drink and use a wonky ping-pong table or pay to use the old gritty air hockey table but only till 9pm as they close everything after then. Most of reception staff are terrible, they are easily the worst part of my stay. Would recommend oaks just across the road and avoid the Ramada
Love this place, the only place we will stay in Port Douglas. Rooms are clean and spacious, area is quite and the facility is beautifully landscaped with perfect gardens.
Overall property was good, however liquor license restrictioned my personal use, additional smoking areas would be better.
Excellent property
A resort type hotel with full amenities, clean & comfortable. The only negative was the hotel staff trying to get us to view a 90 min presentation….likely time share…we opted out.
At first glance this place is an Oasis. The grounds are beautiful and we loved that. The parking lot from the room was far with no one to help you with your bags or helping you find the room was a bit disappointing. Room had a dehumidifier and once we were there we realized why. Even with air conditioning on the room was muggy. We were constantly emptying out the humidifier At least it was there. The resort is older and bit tired, but the staff friendliness made up for that.
Very easy check in, everyone was so lovely and helpful, daily cleaning in room
Beautiful pool. Room had just been upgraded.Plenty of parking.Great food and drink service.
Horrible service - do not help with any questions. Unable to use the e-bikes due to not being in timeshare. The bike we hired was in terrible condition Horrible service will never return
The pool and surrounds were lovely the restaurant great
Staff were friendly, and the room was huge, but in desperate need of an upgrade. More of a motel at resort prices.
Loved the swim up bar and how friendly everyone was
Gardens and boardwalks beautiful and well maintained. Buildings a little tired but rooms a good size and well equipped. Would have been nice to have balconies though, none seemed to. Staff were exceptional in all areas. Resort is close to Four Mile Beach and easy and quick to get to town via shuttle or car. Overall very good value.

Lovely place to stay, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding. We had everything we needed and more
Happy with stay
Good relaxing stay near the beach. Happy staff mostly and very friendly. Short staffed at present
Beware of the time-share sales pitch
Our stay was great. The hotel has great facilities and is beautifully landscaped. The rooms are large and comfortable. A toaster in the room would be a great idea. Our check-in experience wasnt great. We were checked in and then handed over to a lady who was there to get us to commit to attending a Club Wyndam timeshare presentation. Our check-in took 90 minutes and that wasn't even the actual presentation. We should have been asked by the man checking us in if we were interested in the timeshare presentation instead of the deceptive way we were handed over to the timeshare rep. It has put us off staying at Wyndam properties as a paying guest. Needless to say we didn't go to their timeshare presentation where they would have wanted us to comment to a huge financial commitment to their "club".
Room didn’t have enough crockery, cutlery however the rest of the contents were very good.
Room was nice, plenty of room for two adults and two kids. Staff where helpful and friendly. Great spot.
Food in cafe was ordinary and overpriced. Poor ventilation in bathroom, had to buy air freshener. Wasn’t told at reception there was a lift. Pool area nice but mainly for families.
Lovely bar crew who worked super hard to serve people . Bathrooms could do with update Booking in took to long as done twice with second time just pushing time share talk ..
Our stay with Ramada was absolutely georgous. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant was lovely and food was great. Could not have asked for a better holiday and accomodation Thank you Ramada
Amenities were fantastic also cleanliness
Another wonderful stay! Will be back!
Great value for money. Nice, big clean rooms with comfortable bed, good aircon and shower. Nice pool and hotel area. Great customer service and well located if you’ve got a car and can drive to Port Douglas (about 5 min away by car). Minor negatives are rooms are a bit dated, restaurant food isn’t great and you have to get your own fresh towels / toilet paper if needed!
The rooms were clean and fresh, the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was very good, my teenagers rated it the best food we had on our trip.
The pool and facilities were good and had a nice rainforest vibe. The room however smelt of mould the entire stay despite having the aircon running (as recommended for our own health**). I understand it is a tropical area, however we weren’t comfortable in our room. We were targeted to join the “timeshare group” however because we did not attend we felt embarrassed to go and seek staff for anything I.e. new towels.
Lovely and friendly service, however guest areas need updating and website does not reflect the very outdated condition of the rooms that are not refurbished.
Real overseas open plan vibe, the restaurant was great. Little far from town, but they do have a shuttle
Beautiful property. Friendly staff.
Great location and facilities, friendly and helpful staff. Nice big rooms too
Family Friendly
It's a family friendly place, the kids will love the pool But a bit out of city centre and beach.

Pool didn't look very clean
