Quality for price

We were there for only one night. Which it was satisfactory for. Beds comfortable and shower was nice and hot. Nothing really stuck out. Breakfast was okay. Similar to other 3 star hotels. There was a basketball team staying so the breakfast room was crowded.

It was ok. Room could have used a good cleaning.

The staff was incredible. The room was the only thing that fell flat; entrance light sometimes didn't turn on, the light in the bathroom flickered and only then turned on. Though the bed was cozy.

Bed bugs , I've stayed there dozen of times but the last I found bed bugs .

This was a good place to stay while visiting family over Christmas. Our room was spacious and very clean. It was good to have the breakfast. Very friendly staff!

We’ve stayed here before, but never on the top floor with the water view. It was much nicer for us, plus the location works very well for us. We’ll be back again.

Mentioned if my deposit (100$) takes longer than normal to be deposited I will not stay at any Ramada hotels again. Not the first time. Other hotels usually 1 day after check out at the latest. Carpets in room very stained

Check in was not smooth. Reservation was non existent. Booked through Expedia but staff did not know how to access the correct rate. Location good for my needs. Room was fine.

Stayed here several times for business and always pleasing. Comfortable bed. Clean. Staff is super helpful and friendly. Breakfast is what you’d expect but nothing exceptional. Thanks for the hospitality.

It was quiet and the rooms were large. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to mention cleanliness - we did not eat in our room and there were numerous food crumbs on the floor. Mirrors were streaky. Cleanliness was lacking. We were there for 45 mins to get ready for the Taylor Swift concert and came back and slept for 7 hours and checked out. The food etc wasnt from us. Better attention to detail Needed by housekeeping.

Good comfortable stay

Front Desk Jackie and Carole in the breakfast area are definitely what makes the place run well. GREAT STAFF especially the two I mentioned above.

This hotel was nice enough to lay are head down after the Taylor Swift concert. The staff at the front desk was amazing! Friendly, helpful, the service was great!

Check in and out was easy. Our room was spacious and the beds very comfortable. It was very quiet. Carol, who looked after the breakfast room was amazing - cleanest, tidiest space I've ever seen in a hotel. The manager said they classify this hotel as economy business and I would agree.

Clean and friendly

Bathtub needed a plunge, very slow drainage. Found it difficult to manage the hot/cold thermostat.

I had requested a late check out (noon instead of 11) when I made the reservation. Despite the person saying yes, it was not recorded so when I checked in there was no record of the request. So I asked for that again and they said they will add it to my reservation. At 11:20 I got a call in the room asking if I was checking out. They didn’t want to send housekeeping in if we were still there. I let them know I had TWICE asked for and had been granted a noon check out. She said there was no record of it. Otherwise they were friendly. The bed was comfortable (the pillows not so much) and the room clean (other than a beverage stain on the night stand which meant they weren’t super thorough). The location would’ve been decent for walking down to the water and the nearby park, but it was a total downpour while I was there so we didn’t get that in. But it was close to the venue that we had tickets for. All in all it was a decent place with a decent breakfast.

Carpet was dirty in areas, other than that it was fine. Close to where our son lives

Older property but very very well looked after and the staff is friendly.

There was a strong smell of sewage in the hallway that was prett disgusting. Room was not well lit. And bathrooms by breakfast room were locked so you had to take the elevator back to your room if you needed to use the toilet

Good: This property was good value and fairly close to many things. Bad: The hotel is very dated, some of their check in policies seem quite silly, and I found the front desk staff to be quite mean. It’s definitely not to the same quality I’d normally expect from a Wyndham hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel several times in past years and have always enjoyed my stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable. I’m sure I will stay again in the future.

I was at the end of a very long day (travel from the interior to the island, last minute) and the staff was most welcoming. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

There were people screaming outside of our window early morning. I left behind a air pod in the room and left for the mainland and the front desk refused to mail it to me. Very disappointing.

Easy to get around Nanaimo from here as a starting point

Nothing unique or extraordinary about the hotel. An average place, no beautiful surrounding, and a very limited breakfast. However, there was one managerial issue: An electrical technician was appointed to do the wiring (including the drilling and all) on the same floor and at the same time we were residing! You can imagine the noise and inconvenience. Although they offered moving to another room, it wasn’t worth the bother. My midday rest, after a long drive from Vancouver, was ruined anyway. They could've scheduled more properly.

Very good staff, quiet hotel

Carpets could be cleaner and need better pillows. Otherwise, staff all very helpful. Free breakfast was great and they never ran out. Walkable to the waterfront boardwalk. We would stay again.

Everything was great during our stay at the Ramada. The only issue was the set up of the parking lot it was very tight and seemed very limited. Aside from this minor complaint, the continental breakfast was good. The room was spacious and clean, and nicely decorated.

Rooms were very spacious and nice. Beds were comfortable but pillows too high as most hotels. Air conditioning wasn’t adjustable and I would have liked it cooler. Breakfast was decent with omelets and sausages and a make your own waffle iron. I thought it was a bit pricey but a nice newer clean hotel with friendly service. I would stay here again.

I stay this hotel for 2 month every year. New reception not give receipt anymore. So I will put this hotel in my black list, even I’m platinum member already.

We were able to see water and mountains over the businesses. Easy walk to Harbour and easy drive to ferry terminal.

The check in was just fine, but when entering into the elevator the carpet was wasted and dirty. The smelling was not good as well. The room was good with a lot of space, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a typical hotel’s breakfast nothing fantastic to taste. Check out was fast.
