Accessible and affordable

The Ramada is spacious inside and plenty of invalid parking space. Our room was on the ground floor and the dining area was accessible down ramps as well as steps. The breakfast was full of alternatives. The bed was large and comfortable.

Thankfully I managed to get my 2 night booking on a cheap day rate, the only reason I have not given a 1 star rating. I have stayed here a few times before, each room has had a drafty window that doesn't seal properly, not what you want in February, it was especially cold during my stay to the point where I wore my jumper in bed. The heater/AC doesn't work properly, an oil fired plug in radiator was provided but was ineffective in heating up the room. The carpet is threadbare and dirty, sticky in places. For some reason families with kids were roaming the corridors until 3am, sporadically letting doors slam and generally being chatty and noisy with no consideration for other guests trying to sleep. A door alarm went off at 2am for 10 minutes straight. The staff seem to not be bothered with anything but the bare minimum, ie check in/out and now taking a fee for parking - which used to be free. Some guidance for noisy anti social guests is needed. The bathroom was clean, however the shower is unusable, due to it having only 2 setting, scalding hot or freezing cold. The breakfast buffet looked anemic and disgusting. If, like me, you're tempted by the low room rate, don't bother, you won't get much sleep and are a drive away from any local facilities. I won't be staying again.

The staff at the property are very helpful and friendly. 24/7 bar which is good if you have been out all day and need a drink. The cost is what it is for the area where it’s based, it’s easy assess to Harry Potter studio where was was stopping. It some where you wouldn’t stay for to long. The bed was hard, pillows hard, windows have mold on, shower room has mold on side of the bath. Only two plugs available making it hard to use your appliances. Children’s bed look like a small bed bad on the floor. No cots Available for babies. Breakfast was nice simple and easy service. Paying at the hotel made it cheaper than paying through the app.

The property seems really well equipped but the rooms could do with being cleaner, stains on the bedding and carpets. The reception staff not very helpful, upon checkout handed the cards back and was asked to check out on a screen. Having booked through a different website could not find a reservation number to check out. The guy on the desk left me trying to check out for over 15 minutes. Did not want to leave and be open to late checkout charges. The hotel was sufficient for our needs but could have been so much better with a little more attention.

Good for the price

Easy to find. Very essy check in. Large reception area. Room is very spacious but a little dated. Window frame was broken and had been badly repared. Large bed but there was a gap between tbe mstress and the wall. Pillow would constantly dissappear down the back. Did not sleep too good because of this. You get what you pay for.

Close to Leavseden Studio Harry Potter tour Hotel location on Motorway services. No noise from motorway in room I stayed in You need a taxi to get off/on site to reach public transport for Leavseden studios. Executive room. Clean, spacious, small fridge Best for work trips or no frills layover.. I used for cost effective stay while my house was worked on.. On site restaurant OK Fast food at services up to 10:00pm . Dirty cutlery and no hot water

Poor service and uncomfortable bed

Room good but head and foot of bed mattrress broken and very uncomfortable. Reported twice during first 24 hrs stay but nothing done to rectify. Both shower wash and hand wash containers empty on arrival. Reported to staff during stay and when booking out but no apologise and very uninterested. Appears now that quality of Ramada is very low, they are frequently booked and customer care has vanished. Minimal staff now in many of their hotels. Rubbish in bags left in corridor for two days outside rooms. Blood inside lift and on floor leading to reception no cleaned. Staff did not seem at all bothered when this pointed out to them.

Decent Value For money

Hi, the hotel is reasonably priced and because of that I would say it's decent value for money. I complained about a very strong Weed smell in the corridor and my room also had a very strong smell in it. The next day on my return the smell was gone and the corridor had been well cleaned. I would recommend it if you're travelling on a budget.

Worst hotel ever !

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. First of all, the kids' beds were placed directly on the floor, as if they were animals. On top of that, the mattresses were so uncomfortable you could feel every spring. When I brought this up, I was told there was nothing that could be done. The room was freezing cold when we arrived, despite checking in online beforehand. It took over 3 hours to warm up, during which time my kids had to sit in the cold. They even had to sleep in freezing conditions, which was completely unacceptable. To make things worse, the room lacked basic amenities like plug points or USB ports - nothing near the bed, which is a serious concern. For the same price as a Premier Inn, this hotel is an absolute waste of money. Save yourself the hassle and stay elsewhere.

Very Cold room

I arrived at about 5.30. Room temperature was 15.6 degrees. Only one free socket for plugging in additional heater (but this was the TV socket). Room only had bath (room was an accessible room for me as I am a wheelchair user). Hotel staff said it was a lower bath and they had no walk-in showers. They offered to help me have a shower till they discovered I would need this at 6a.m. They could help me to find an alternative hotel. I declined. Person came to help with heating (seemed I hadn’t switched it on!). Also returned with extension for more sockets. At 10pm - temperature still only 17 degrees. Went to bed very cold. Woke up very cold - temperature still only 18 degrees. This is one of the first times I’ve stayed at a hotel arriving in a wheelchair when someone hasn’t offered to hold open the heavy fire doors for me to get to my room. Despite shouting for help when I was stuck with my small hold-all (there were 3 people on reception) nobody came. Eventually another guest rescued me. Similarly nobody helped me at any time with the doors. In the morning I discovered there was just a pipe over the bath - no shower head! I had thought I could warm myself up if I climbed into the bath. All I could do was warm my hands and face in the warm water in the basin. I got out as quickly as possible and sat in my car with the engine running to warm myself up. Ramada Wyndham in North London have let themselves down - other hotels in the chain are so much better.

Good value

The room I was allocated first was 12C (freezing) and after 40 minutes wit the heating on maximum it had only reached 14.5C so they changed my room. I later had some difficulties ordering my dinner; I hadn't been given my voucher for "Rise and Dine" when I checked in, so was sent back to reception and had to wait 5 minutes whilst guests were being checked in and was then asked to wait further before I insisted. The food at dinner and breakfast is reasonable (neither good nor bad) but overall the hotel offers good value. Being less than 100m from the M1, my room was never quiet but not too noisy to keep me awake.

On entering my room I was hit by just how cold it was. I set the heating to full and it took a long time to heat from the 13 degrees at which it started to a temperature that we felt comfortable. There were no bedside sockets which was a shame.

I was given a room which was right next to the train tracks so I had a terrible time sleeping, I paid for a double bedroom, I was given a bed where there was two single mattresses joint together rather then one big one, no staff member had engaged with us during our stay or cleaned the room whilst we was out even though I had left the sign on the door to say the room requires cleaning

cheap and nasty

the staff were helpful and friendly which was the saving grace. I know it was a "budget" room but still! The hotel is shabby and in desperate need of love. there was mould growing in the bathroom grout, the wall in the bathroom had obviously been sprayed with cleaner and then not wiped over, the fittings in the bathroom were dirty and had lost some of the chrome plating and the shower head was caked in limescale. The bed was supposed to be a double but it was 2 singles pushed together which were not at the same height so each time you moved across the middle of the bed there was a sharp bed edge digging into you. Not a good advert for a first time, I will stick to premier inn or Holiday inn and would not reccomend.

Could have been much better

We booked a family room which met our needs in terms of number of beds and size. However the room was very cold considering that it was end November. We tried to switch the fan heater on, but it wasn't working. We asked reception twice for help, they came the first time but it didn't work. The second time they didn't even bother to show up. Which left us in a very cold room for the night. Also the hotel is far away from any bus stop. Please consider only if you are driving there. But they will add £5/day parking fee which is not included in the room booking fee.

You must have a car in other to commute from this hotel.Heating is not working, the bed is uncomfortable. I booked a double room but was given a twin bed instead.The smell on tne corridor is another issue. Value for money for London Hotels but I won't recommend this hotel.

LOCATION was EXCELLENT. Facilities were horrible in our room. Phone & TV weren't working, windows left open on cold night but clerk fixed eventually. Tried to warm the room but the in-room heater wasn't working and the loaned portable heater from front desk did not even turn on. Never been so cold at night in a hotel. Thin duvets did not help. Hope it was a one-off.

The bathrooms were really good, the price was good, the turndown was quick and efficient. However, there were a lot of problems: we paid for 3 beds, but got two floor cots with unsleepable mattresses, mold on the curtains, when we asked for a replacement room with an appropriate number of beds, we received a room with similarly uncomfortable beds and deteriorating bathroom facilities. This is all notwithstanding the DEPLORABLE exterior conditions: we had to walk through a path we came to call "death alley', which was littered with garbage, unlit, had no sidewalk, was too far away from any public transportation to be considered convenient. For these reasons i would never reccomend anyone stay in the Ramada.

Cheap but not cheerful!

The room was spacious however, we stayed in a family room and the 2 single beds were mattresses on the floor. The pillows were of poor quality too. The shower barely worked the water was freezing cold and the water hardly came out and overall the bathroom was very dated. The room was very loud and we could hear traffic from cars and people all night - it did for the night on a stop off journey.

Absolutely shocking bud very very dirty hotel

One of the worst places to stay ever. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Cleaning is horrible, room smelt of Damp and there was damp all over bathroom. There was sick on the basin which made me almost vomit. Hair stuck to the bath. I have put up pictures of the dirt NEXT to my pillow. We checked in really late and went straight to bed in the morning we were horrified by what we saw and where we slept. This hotel should be stripped of the name Ramada. I complained to front desk only to be told no manager present email us and was sent my way. Hotels.com please don’t put hotels like this in your site.

The bed sheet liner / bed protector was a smaller size to the bed, this made sleeping on the bed quite uncomfortable cos the liner was too small and couldn't be stretched out to cover the whole bed this was bumpy. Few times I had to get off the bed to straighten out the linen in other to have a smooth bed.

The property is in a convenient location and is easy to get to. The rooms however are in need of some maintenance, the first room we got has a flashing bulb. The second room was much nicer but the main light didn’t work at all. In my son’s room neither the kettle or hair dryer worked. The staff were polite and friendly.

Easy check in and checkout. Just surprised to be paying for parking at £5/day. Bed wasn’t comfortable for an executive room. No headboard in place so the pillows kept dipping into the gap between wall and that hurt our necks in the morning. Hotel space was clean and quiet.

Terrible room

I stay at this hotel quite often as it is perfect to get into London first thing in the morning when working there but I'm afraid this will probably be the last time I stay here, the room i stayed in was in very poor condition the bathroom was an absolute disgrace, horrible fusty smell when i entered the room mold all over the bathroom ceiling rotten wood bath panel & also dried blood our some kind sauce on the wall took photos showed reception they said the manager would contact me with an email, still haven't heard from them

Really nice stay with a comfy bed, spacious room with enough amenities. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice and the staff were friendly. We have booked to stay again for next year, the price is quite a bit higher and we are being charged extra to park whereas we weren’t during this stay. Worse Place Ever Stayes

Very rude front desk service. Need to teach how to smile and speak to customers. Room had mould , uncomfortable bed and requested for extra pillow due to pillows we had float like 2inches thick two nights they can't provide extra pillows . Fine for the price I suppose? There was a hole in our ceiling, and the bathroom looked in need of serious repair. Had to walk 10-20 minutes to any bus stop, only options to eat are subway and Burger King.

Hotel all

I have stayed in over 100 hotels in my business life and this is by far the worst . Unhelpful staff, dirty linen that didn’t fit the bed, I had to to change the mattress over due to stains, dirty bathroom, so noisy , windows didn’t shut right, carpet filthy, pillows smelt, room was disgusting. Enough said I feel, this was an awful experience.

Had someone on staff to help when ever needed however the staff were not always pleasent to work with. We had a few questions about a taxi/Uber service as from out of country and the lady was not at all helpful.

We paid for breakfast for the two days we were there, however as breakfast was inedible on the first day, we didn't bother with breakfast on the second day and went elsewhere for food.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 weeks. On the positive side, it is good value for money considering similar hotels in the area. The cleaning service was good, I commend Viviana for excellent work. However, there are few issues that you need to be aware (1) There is no safe and when I handed over my valuables to the receptionist, Hiron at the time, he provided absolutely no receipt and placed my valuables in a poor envelop and took it to back office. Upon check out, Joanna had no trace of my valuables including my passport which was needed for travel. I panicked big time. There is no system in place. She called various people while I was sweating with stress and finally it was found. This is a ridiculous system and not 'safe' at all (2) the A/C does not work in any of the rooms, the windows barely open and the best hotel can do is supply you with a fan - I never pushed for a compensation which was due as the room lacked the basic airing facility (3) the transportation to the hotel is problematic, public transport is nonexistent and getting uber is a hit and miss as they end up in strange places and you have to walk a lot to get to them, on one occasion uber eat had to cancel my order leaving me with no choice but to go to Burger King in Welcome Break.

Another bad nights sleep

Room was too hot, 24.6 degrees, I complained and was brought a fan which had more dust on it than a 100 year old painting, and was noisier than a jet engine so couldn’t use it and didn’t sleep well and had no window that could open for some fresh air. Not a good stay

I wouldn’t bother!

Was not impressed at all with accommodation. Had to pay to park in car park, this was not mentioned in booking details, the curtains in room didn’t fit the whole window, aircon was not working, wanted to run a bath, there were no taps on the bath to run it!!! Bed uncomfortable, had booked a room with one single bed and double sofa bed, this was not what I was given.

The new check in process using machines (and also a person) is clunky and laborious particularly when you now also have to pay for parking. For the first time I’ve stayed here I thought the property condition has slipped, general areas looked like they need a good hoover and scrub and my room- particularly bathroom, needs an overhaul or deep clean. Spots/ dirty on ceiling. Mould and dirty around tiles. Surfaces in bedroom looked just about clean.

Uncountable and stuffy room!

Only 1 plug socket, air-conditioner didn't work room was very stuffy couldn't open a window. 4th bed was a mattress on a thin base very low. The mattress was hard and very uncomfortable, and poor lighting in the room. Wasn't value for money

Don't stay unless you're desperate

Mouldy bathroom with no working ventilation. Stuffy room that smelled mouldy and needed a good clean everywhere. Also, only informed on arrival that parking wasn't free and had to paid for at around £5 per night. Food in restaurant is typical preprepared frozen food - average

The location was easily reachable but far away from public transportation. The room was spaciou, they didn't have air conditioning and the windows dont open, it was hot inside and they chargd for parking when they have pldnty of empty spaces evdn for so many buses , they could have been more understanding and caring

Poor stay

Terrible hotel. On checking in the nighy shift guy clearly was not listening to me, i asked for a room on ground floor facing the car park as i had dogs in my van outside. He just handed me a key and said it faced the car park but it was level 3. Got to room, 1 usable electric socket. Not near bed. Handle of window was broken. Corridor on 3rd floor smelled of smoke. No fridge. I stayed 2 nights and my bin which was full was not emptied. I checked out at 5am and adked for a receipt for my stay when i got to my van and checked it it was only for one night when i had told him it was 2 nights. Had to go back in and sort it, no communication skills from him at all.

Great place in winter.

The aircon in the room was very very poor, once learnt how to use the wall mounted control pad, it would not blow cold even when temp was set to lowest. Thats the only thing that was poor about this fantastic hotel. Ive stopped here many many times over a 10 yr period and this is the first issue ive had with this very welcoming hotel. Fingers crossed this issue is dealt with asap.

Terrible

Boiling hot room with screwed and barricaded windows so unable to open. Asked for fam and key to open window and don’t bother to help. Food was awful and didn’t have stuff on menu and place was dirty. Staff aloof!

Awful

Spend the extra and stay away. The non-smoking room reeked of heavy smoke, the bathroom was covered in mildew, the duvet had horrible urine stains. We were forced to check out early without a refund.

1. **Room Temperature**: Upon arrival, we found our room temperature to be an unbearable 37 degrees Celsius. Despite our request to open a window, we were refused, and we were informed that the air conditioning system for the entire hotel was non-functional. This made it impossible for us to sleep and resulted in a highly uncomfortable night. 2. **Receptionist's Behavior**: The receptionist who checked us in was unfriendly and rude. This initial interaction set a negative tone for our stay and was completely unprofessional. 3. **Hygiene**: We found the toilet paper in our bathroom to be wet and unusable. This is an unacceptable lapse in basic hygiene standards. 4. **Comfort**: The bed in our room was uncomfortable, adding to our distress and preventing us from getting any rest. Overall, this has been the most terrible night we have ever experienced in any hotel. The conditions were not only uncomfortable but also unacceptable for an establishment of your reputation.

Could be better.

It was okay, the reasons I'm not putting my review any higher is that the amount of cigarettes being smoked outside our window was horrific. I and my family are non smokers and the fact people were allowed to smoke right by where we were trying to sleep was an outrage. The cleanliness of the bathroom was also concerning, black hair from whoever was there before us was in and around the bath.

Not the best stay this time

Room wasn't particularly clean, executive room, air conditioning not working, fridge had old cold mouldy chops in it Skirting had the same old chips round it. Breakfast was luke warm.

The staffs ask me to paid for car parking as i booked through an online agent Expedia. I was too tired and did border to argued and paid but there is a big sign everywhere said free parking staying here... not good honesty

The minor inconvenience is that if you don’t have a car you would have to walk through a park and under the motorway bridge to get there. Which can get sketchy in the later hours of the night. So you have to rely on uber or bolt to get the safely also if you go there later than 8pm (walking path suggested by google maps) the exit of the park will get locked and the (walking) entrance towards the hotel can get locked too

DO NOT STAY HERE

Whatever you do, don’t stay there. It’s a terrible property. Very dirty and old. Walls are so thin that you can hear people talking in the hall and next rooms/ The staff is extremely rude and very unhelpful. Not near any public transportation. My daughter and I had to walk 20 minutes to a bus stop through a dangerous neighborhood. Even our Uber driver asked why we would ever stay there
