Clean hotel with friendly staff

Good hotel very close to city. Room was clean, spacious and bed very comfy. The only thing was the noise from the room above or next door, not quite sure where the noise was coming from but it sounded like someone was dragging furniture around , it went on till quite late. Apart from that it was a good stay with a decent breakfast in the morning and nice indoor pool.

This hotel is very run down and needs renovation. The carpets in the corridor and in the room were stained and worn down. The floor tiles in the bathroom were very cracked. The water in the shower came out brown and smelling of rust for the first few minutes. Wifi signal in the room was weak but usable for our requirements. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is good too, and it is a short walk to the old town.

Last minute reservation but superb stay

My son had gone to Cluj to attend a major concert but a mix-up on the flight schedules meant he arrived a day early and before his reservation for the following several nights. I immediately went into Hotels.com and found the Wyndham Ramada, and despite beingthe last minute, he was welcomed and treated like a long-term and valued client. The hotel is very comfortable, well located for the downtown area, has a great gym and fantastic pool (perfect antidote to a long day of travel) and a restaurant far above the typical hotel facility. He would have considered extending his stay but the large number of concert-goers meant the Wyndham was booked solid for the next several nights (and deservedly so). He has great memories of his stay, and of the warm welcome received. I recommend it most heartily.

Try a better hotel!!!

Never again! Noisy room, couldn’t set up the excessive heat, old furniture and room, the bed sheet had a crack into AND VERY POOR WIFI! Not to mention that the clean up lady entered into the room without knocking on the door twice even the Do Not Disturb sign was hanged. High price for a not cosy, not comfortable and poor WiFi place! I don’t recommend at all!

Good location. Room was cleaned at a very variable rhythm, bathroom was cleaned once over the three weeks I was there - they did replace the towels every day, even though I had hung them up to say I would use them again, but never mopped the floor or wiped down the surfaces. Coffee cups and glasses were washed from time to time, free coffee and tea in the room was occasionally replenished. Very disappointing.

Good hotel in Cluj

It is a good business hotel. The bathrooms could be updated a little bit. But other than that, the rooms are big and comfortable. There is a spa with swimming pool on the rooftop with a nice view of Cluj, but I didn't use it. The personnel is very friendly and nice.

Very basic

The room was very noisy and the hotel refused to change it although I said 4 nights and paid for an upgraded room. The spa floor (gym, spa, and pool) was closed due to cleaning for my entire stay. The wifi didn't work properly so I couldn't do my business meetings properly.

Good location and pleasant staff. The roof terrace was great for a drink in the evening sun!

Hotel was nice but the people at the desk were not treating good with the outside country Customers very unfriendly and unfriendly and Not giving any details only asking questions From their end but if customer asks anything they are not helping Even though it is near and clean with this kind of Service I won’t stay here again in future trips Sorry to say this

Nice Hotel close to city center

The hotel is nice, modern and clean with comfortable mattress and pillows. Friendly staff and very good breakfast. Walkable distance to city center, cathedral, shops and restaurants.

Needs a lot of fixing

The bathroom was not clean and had lots of mold in the shower. Toilet seat was broken and kept moving around.

Business Trip to Cluj

We arrived at 01:00 in the morning and the lady at reception was nice enough but when I requested a room on a higher floor as opposed to the lower level room she was providing she flatly refused and didn't seem interested to help. The air con in my room was very poor, it wasn't easy to use and when I was trying to turn on the cooling, the room would get hot. I opened the floor to ceiling window but didn't feel safe keeping this door open during the night whilst I slept. The people at reception weren't very helpful, when I requested a taxi to pick me up at 19:30, I was told to ring closer to the time I was leaving. I needed to leave at 19:30 so asked reception at 19:25 to call me a taxi but the taxi actually came at around about 20:00. Breakfast was good and room/bathroon was clean. TV channels didn't work and most if not all channels received very poor quality. I didn't get a chance to check the spa within the hotel but it seemed nice .

Hotel away on business

Very nice hotel only 5 min walk to town for food and drink. Spa is dated and worn needs a refurb but rest of hotel is very clean

Lovely hotel.

Very nice hotel, located just outside city centre

Located just outside the city centre, it's still not a bad walk, and you can always take a taxi back to the hotel if you don't want to walk up the hill on your way back. very nice room, clean and comfortable. Nice rooftop pool, steam room and gym. Comfortable little rooftop seating area to take in the city views. Free parking is always a BONUS for any traveler! My only problem is is that I recently brought my (2 small, 7 Kg) dogs to the EU from USA and won't be able to stay with this Ramada on future trips as they have a "no pets" policy.

Less pleasent than in the past

The staff was not pleasent except when I did check in. It was hot days and when I came back around 4 p.m. nobody clean the room, no clean towels. I used to come to Ramada for years. Great dissapoinment.

Great stay!

Great location and very comfortable. Breakfast was good as well as the service. Avocado restaurant in the lobby was top notch and food/price amazing.

Ok hotel and let down by poor bathroom

Old and not clean Hotel

The room was not clean, bathroom was musty, and the smoke detector was uninstalled. Restaurant served cold meal. I will definitly not visit this Hotel again.

Good hotel

A good hotel in a nice city. Free use of the indoor pool on the top floor. Excellent breakfast.

OK for business trip

Room was very clean and a good size. Bed was very comfortable and air con worked well. There is no shower curtain/screen over the bath so a lot of water ended up on the floor. There was some road noise, so its not realistic to sleep with a window open if you don't want the air con running overnight. The breakfast was OK, but all the 'hot' food was cold to lukewarm, so best avoid, and stick to the cold options.

Excellent stay, but lazy technical staff

Parking included, great location next to old city center, well done cleaning, very comfy bed, many other facilities. BUT need to train better their MAINTENENCE technician: one window does't close well (broken spare part inside), and was very noisy all our stay (street view) despite they promised to repair it from the first evening, 2nd day too...! No one comes to check and fix it till departure! I think technical staff was missing from the job all 3 weekend days! Or Front Desk didn't send him!

Excelent hotel

A clean and confortable hotel, great service. good location.

I spent 2 nights in this hotel being in a business trip in Cluj-Napoca. The room was spacious, clean and had ergonomic furniture. Very interesting lights under the bed :-). The breakfast is a little bit more than the usual buffet breakfasts at same kind of hotels, or at least this was my impression. If you get an executive room then you can use the executive lunge at 4th floor which gives some extra goodies throughout the day, like free food and drinks :-)

Come for hote, stay for the wine!

Great hotel in Cluj

We traveled to Cluj for two days and Ramada was a surprise to me. It got the most tranquil and natural neighborhood. And the land view from the top of this hotel was extremely splendid. Totally worth staying for a Cluj trip.

Nice BUT a BIG oming problem

This hotel was lovely HOWEVER, there was smokinv inside the hotel and no smoke free bar or resteraunt. Disgusting for a 4* hotel and in the EU. Smoking is banned in the workplace in the UK under EU directive so i am perplexed as to why a 4* hotel allowes smoking inside. The rooms where non-smoking but we were unable to enjoy drinks at the bar in the evening or eat food at the hotel. Not worth the money on this basis alone!

Fabulous

Great hotel, newly renovated and with all the fixings and amenities you need. Staff is excellent and really helpful, I appreciated their recommendations on where to go out. Avocado restaurant is definitely worth it, you should try the soups, quail, and salmon!

Nice hotel , recommednded to stay there

I went to Ramada hotel in the weekend , this is not the first time, i used to go to Ramada series in Romania , Room is big , big bed , very good room service , breakfast is good , you can have the breakfast in terrace , i didn't have time to go to spa , but i sit down in the balcony in the spa floor for couple of minutes , very nice view,

Good quality hotel with all the services you need while travelling for business. Would recommend. Pool is nice plus too.

Modern, clean, not far from downtown

It's a rather new construction, the interview works fine, same for the conference room with many users online. Clean, polite staff, nice breakfast, not far from downtown. The thermostats seem to have been disconnected though and the rooms can get warm, may be uncomfortable but easily solved by opening a window!

Hotel is pretty OK

The hotel is good. Breakfast is large. The Staff is helpful, smiley. I have felt very comfortable. Breakfast, indorr swimiing pool and internet was free of charge. The hotel is close to center.

Go for the pool!

The Ramada is one of the most modern hotels in Cluj. It is a 15-20 minute walk to he centre of the city, but an enjoyable walk and, in my experience, very safe. The hotel is up a hill, so returning can be tiring! But cabs are prompt and cheap (a couple of bucks). The rooms are a bit dated in design but very clean and well appointed (although there is no courtesy coffee for standard rooms - something I have come to expect in my travels). The balconies are small but comfortable and give a great view of the surrounding town. The best part of the hotel is the terrific breakfast and rooftop pool/spa. The glassed in pool area gives a terrific view of the city, especially at dawn and dusk. There is a good sauna and steam room, and weight machines. The only negative here is the incessant and very loud new-age music that plays in both the sauna and steam room - it takes away from the relaxing vibe of the space, and the spa attendants don't seem to be able to turn it off or down. I really think that the Ramada should reconsider this policy (the music also plays loudly in the breakfast room but, thankfully, not on the outdoor patio). The staff is knowledgeable and helpful, and they speak English perfectly. They know the region well and can recommend rental cars, side trips, restaurants, etc. There is a surprisingly good Chinese Restaurant across the road (the Shanghai), and it has a lovely outdoor chinese themed gazebo/patio.

Ramda Cluj

Overall good hotel. Had some trouble getting there as it recently became a Ramada, so the cab drivers didn't know where it was. Staff was friendly and helpful and room was what I expected. Temperature controls were a little tricky to get used to and mattress could be comfier.

Perfect location

Hotel itself was wonderful and the staff were superb. Ideal location for walking into the town centre but just far enough away to be relaxing. Wonderful views from the pool!

Très bien, bon sejour

Chambre très confortable et spacieuse , personnel très agréable, parking et petit-déjeuner un peu cher je trouve pour la Roumanie. Je suis un peu déçu du service de ménage qui n’a pas remis de produits d’hygiène, pour une fois que je comptais sur ces produits, et ménage rapide entre 2 nuits. Le restaurant est st très sympa et en plus c’est bon

Buen hotel

Buen hotel con todas las comodidades de su categoría. La habitación amplia, limpia y la cama cómoda. El desayuno bufé muy rico, variado y de calidad, aunque el zumo de naranja es muy mejorable. El personal amable y eficaz, tanto en recepción como en el restaurante.

Attention aux grandes chambres attention au bruit

Arrivée pour une greande chambre avec notre ado nous acvions une chambre avec un canapé-lit trop mauvias pour que notre ado puisse dormir correctement. Il n'y avait pas 2 pièces comme pour la photo. Une autre chambre n'était pas dispo ce soir la. EN demandant le lendemain à déménager nous avons eu 2 chambres communiquantes extrêmement bruyantes

L'hôtel est bien situé, le petit déjeuné très correct, mais les chambres sont beaucoup trop chère pour l'offre : 3ème couchage sur un canapé-lit avec matelas très fin, lits juste recouverts mais pas refaits, ménage mal fait, déco vieillissante, taxis aéroport 4 fois plus chère que si l'on en commande un soit-même.
