We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we had time to book another night. The room was comfortable and gave the impression of being secluded. The service were polite and professional. Certainly would stay here again.

The Trehouse is a very attractive type of accommodation

Disappointing

This resort is mostly a backpacker and with some deluxe rooms. The room was nice however the fridge is only a chill fridge and no freezer so when travelling and a kitchenette is advertised one expects a decent fridge. The rooms are not serviced until about 4-5 pm which is too late and the first service was very poor. Rubbish was left, no new milk and bed not made The amenities list a spa except that it is always full of backpackers and is a loud and unpleasant environment. Would not recommend as a deluxe accommodation For $600 per night and advertised as luxurious this property is very overpriced.

Great location and lovely room in rainforest setting. Very peaceful but short walk to main shops, bars restaurants etc in Franz Josef.

Great romantic spot if you’re in one of the deluxe tree huts. We stayed here as we were getting married at Lake Matheson.

Is a quite clean with a lot of facilities. Recommended place to stay. Just a parking space a bit narrow (can say like just enough space) for the place we stay.

Lovely little place for one night

Lovely place, stayed in deluxe rainforest room for one night. Nice room for 3 people, everything clean, nice big shower room. Robes and slippers were a nice touch.

We had the pleasure of staying in the Rainforest Deluxe room, and I was truly impressed by how cozy and charming it was. The breathtaking mountain views and the serene forest surrounding the room made it feel like a peaceful escape. The room was thoughtfully equipped with everything I needed, including a small kitchen, which was a wonderful touch. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I especially loved the large glass doors that allowed me to savor the gentle rain while enjoying my coffee. The location is also ideal, with the main street just a couple of minutes away, making it easy to explore. To top it off, there’s a fantastic restaurant right next door that served some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time. This stay was truly special, and I’ll cherish the memories of it.

We stayed in the accessible rainforest treehouse. It is beautiful, we stayed two nights and didn’t want to leave. Bathroom fully accessible by self propelled commode. A bit tight in room with wheelchair but we just pushed the couch over a little. Thank you for having us. I recommend staying here.

Very peaceful stay during the winter season, was such a beautiful stay amongst the trees. We both wished we could stay longer. We loved how there is a restaurant on site as well and close to the local hot tubs.

Absolutely stunning. Wish we could have stayed longer. Very private and like you are in the middle of the rainforest, but with amazing views of the mountain. Highly recommend.

Modern, large, clean room with excellent facilities. A bit disappointed as we expected a view of the forest but it's just in a cul-de-sac with the other huts/lodges. Wouldn't sit outside as the other units look down on you (through some trees). Even though the rooms are excellent I think it's expensive for what you get - but perhaps that's just the area.

Oasis of Luxury

Sadly the weather did not cooperate to see the glaciers but we were stuck in an oasis of luxury and loved our 2 night stay. The suite was fantastic and very comfortable. We also used the restaurant and we were impressed by the service and quality.

Fantastic villa with everything you need. Walkable to town and all that it offers. Would definitely go back and hope to some time.

Left a jacket behind accidentally upon check out. Reached out to the hotel via Expedia and also directly via email but there was no response at all. Reception closed at 6pm and basically self check in and zero attention to service provided.

We loved our stay here with our little dog. The room was super clean, comfortable and in beautiful surroundings.

An Unexpected Delight

We arrived late and the reception was closed but a key was left out for us with instructions . There was a lovely basket of breakfast things including a loaf of freshly baked bread left for us which was a lovely surprise. The room itself was fresh and cosy with big glass doors looking out to lush forestry. There was a lovely mountain view which was mostly obscured by the trees which was a shame but apart from that we really enjoyed our stay.

Loved everything at this property! Superb experience on every dimension. So beautiful - what a total delight!

Luxury retreat

Very relaxing stay. Room was very well equipped and comfortable. Price wise it was a splurge but nice to have the little extras such as welcome drinks and breakfast delivered to your room. The staff at check in were very helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend and hope to return

Amazing food and surprise basket

Amazing range of food at the restaurant. As we reached the hotel rather late, the restaurant accommodated us and staff were very friendly. Hotel rooms were clean and we had a surprise basket with bread, drinks, biscuits, cupcakes, museli, oats and milk. Hotel even provided free wine for us. Check out was smooth as we just had to drop off the key. It was an awesome stay.

Staff were very obliging and helpful, deluxe unit was excellent and hot tub fabulous, would recommend the Rain Forest accommodation to everyone, the breakfast was also delicious. A 5 star accommodation.

Deluxe option is amazing. Great accomodation, drinks in the fridge all included, and the breakfast had fresh bread. Perfect!

Really love the place! Staff service is high quality from check-in to the restaurant. Unfortunately, my heli hike activity was postponed due to weather so Will be coming back!
