Rude staff

We went as a group with lots of rooms booked for a team out of town game. We called to confirm the pool would be open and they said yes. Upon arrival they stated the pool was open but very cold so to use at your own risk. The pool was extremely cold and the hot tub was empty. The staff was rude about it and we were told management would call us Monday, after our stay, to discuss any reimbursement. None of the families heard from them

Had two of my vehicle windows broken in the parking lot, no security, no cameras. Not to mention no help from staff. Obviously took them a while to tops my vehicle with the alarm blaring…nothing. Not thier problem.

Overpriced for what you get.

Our sports team came to stay here while attending a sporting event. We called multiple times to ensure the pool and hot tub were working. After driving 4.5 hours in a snowstorm we arrived and were only notified after check in that the hot tub was closed and the pool was cold and use at your own risk. The pool was freezing. 5 families even called to book same day and still weren’t notified. It didn’t just happen, it was like that for a while already according to other guests

The room my family and I stayed in had the toilet tank water running all night and the fan noise also going it was difficult to sleep

The pool was very cold, the hot tub was broken and out of service, we stayed beside the pool and gym, I thought the pool would be noisy but it was the gym that was noisy, the people staying there had no consideration for others. We are not a fan of Fort McMurray. On the other side the staff was great, we stayed with a hockey team, they game us a banquet room downstairs which was really nice.

Older property beds and rooms clean and comfortable pool was just In mist of renovations, pool is done hot tub was still being worked on all in all. It’s a pretty decent place to stay.

Front desk staff were top notch, reception area clean and inviting. Room was tired and dated. Worn, in need of renovations.

The property is clean , the staff the second day was friendly and helpful. The AC didn’t work well and they need to start replacing towels when they take the dirty ones.

Staff friendly, check in and out really quick. They did a terrible job of cleaning and re-filling of towels and stuff during the day. Pretty unhappy to come back and not have a clean face cloth or nicely made bed after working all day.

Great place! Staff are amazing! The restaurant on site is pretty good as well. Perfect place to relax after hard days in the field.

Thieves and Horrible customer service

This Radisson Hotel are thieves. They Over Charged me $130.00 for a booking I had cancelled well before my time I showed up and then charged me for not showing up for my actual booking I WAS THERE FOR!!! They refuse to pay back my money from their overcharge. Not only was their service completely useless and hotels.com was no help to rectify the over charge. So now I am left wondering why I even book through hotels.com also. The pool was also under construction when I checked in which was the reason I choose this hotel and no where did it state that it was under construction. Once again costumer service did nothing to help rectify this but instead OVER CHARGED ME for my ROOM. I hope the $24,000 per year this hotel losses from this small amount they stole from me makes them so so happy. None of my kids teams will EVER book here again.

Radisson Hotel & Suites Fort McMurray sent you a message: 2024-02-26 The property is renovating the pool from November 24 2023 to January 21 2024" After mentioning this to the staff they changed it for future guests to notify them that its still ongoing till march 15th 2024 .. no credit no discount for the inconvenience. 2 nights without pool or spa still over priced 400

The elevator squeals as it passes by every floor and the heater in the room made noises as it tried to turn on.

It was a nice stay! The only disappointment was the pool and waterslide were down for renovations. It would have been nice to know when reserving as I chose it for the pool.

Too much noise of trucks passing through the highway in night,

Sad that we booked because it had a pool.but ended up being closed for renovations. Very noisy with road noise and had a very loud vand we could hear until early hours of the morning. The beds were adjustable soft/hard, which was interesting but mine kept inflating back to super hard through the night.

The hotel was great, however we chose this hotel for the pool and its availability was very limited. It was booked during the day and evening for baby swim classes. Basically unavailable in the morning and from 4-7pm. They would not run the slide untill aftwr 8pm and the hot tub was broken. Very disappointing for the kids and a huge deal beaker as a parent.

Hotel was decent. Only issue was one bed mattress was broken? It had a huge sag making the one side unsleepable. Possibly broken spring. Otherwise it was a decent place. Pool was good but water was very cold. Would be nice to have complimentary breakfast but McDonalds located across the street convenient for families with kids.

Bad service and cleaning guys are very rude

Parking can only be accessed from one direction easily. Other than that it’s pretty good.

Room was big and spacious. Lamps didn’t have light bulbs, no robes for pool, lack of dishes and cutlery in kitchen in room, fireplace didn’t work, we were denied room service and fireplace did not get fixed as promised . Pool area was over chlorinated not enjoyable.

The pool Haden been cleaned in months and was about 8"low on water. The slide you had to pull yourself along. Didn't include a breakfast with the stay

I liked this property because it was close to work. I did not like the mattress on one bed. It had a low spot in the middle and should be replaced.

We arrived to check-in and was told they would call by 2 to check-in. I had ro call them to see if we could check in at 215. We checked in and went to the pool. The smell was so awful i propped the door open to try and get some fresh air. I went to the front desk to complain. The man told me that he would open the emergency exit. When i got back to the pool, my granddaughter was coughing and throwing up. We all felt awful after this swim. Sore throat and trouble breathing, nobody told us why it was like that and should we seek medical attention. The chemicals were so strong our bathing suits are ruined. Later that night we went out. When we arrived back there were 2 ladies at the desk, not one even acknowledged that we were there. 6am comes around and someone from the front desk called my cell phone to ask a question that had nothing to do me or anyone in my room. We go for breakfast in the restaurant in hotel. I sent t my meal back 3 times before i left not eating. This trip was totally ruined by the stay here.... I had not seen my grandkids in 3 years and all of this happened. I expect to hear back from you asap

We stayed here this weekend and the property is very nice. Only inconvenience was there was a bunch of pre teens / teens unattended in the pool area, throwing their shoes in the pool and across the room and against windows. They were standing on the water slide and they had McDonald’s ice cream and threw it down the water slide and their drinks and shoes were thrown in the pool. Me and my family were unable to use the pool and water slide which is why I came to this hotel. I went and told the front desk and the guy came in but the kids were still standing on the slide and even tho he talked to them nothing stopped and then a parent finally came in asking if they are behaving themselves and we said they’re pretty crazy to which he carelessly told the kids and nothing stopped so we went back to our room. Very frustrating I should have asked for a refund and switched hotels as when we went back to the room the kids were yelling down the hallway and in the exercise room. It seemed as if they were part of some sports team as there was a large number of them. Was very disappointed they were not told to be removed from the pool area. Also when scanning the QR code in the room it said restaurant was open until 11pm but actually closed at 10pm. So we drove across the street to the McDonalds.

Pool was broken and the toilet ran all day and night

Not much to like except the lobby, its beautiful. The pool is decrepit, paint chipped and flaking, rust, mold, etc. The first night we tried the pool - with ourc5 and 2 year old grandsons - a couple came in with a atereo and blasted it so loud we couldnt hear. Then they started making out right in front of the kids, they were so drunk they were out of control. There is no way for anyone who is moderately handicapped to get in or out of the pool. No breakfast included and the reztaurant had incredibly limited options.

I really enjoyed the pool area and the room we stayed in was very clean and homey. Would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and comfortable. They had sleep number beds that were broken, and the pool needs some maintenance. Also noise from the hallway travels easily into the rooms and can be loud. Pick a room at the end of the hall if you have younger kids that sleep earlier.

The front desk staff were super helpful and friendly. We were there for a baseball tournament and the kids loved the pool. Everything was really clean and bright and welcoming.

The rooms are clean but dated. It is along a busy road so the traffic noise is clearly heard. Breakfast is not included so you will have to make alternate arrangements for that.

Nice looking hotel but the staff are very rude and anything you ask for takes hours. Front desk staff ignored my calls I had yo go down to see why no one was answering and she was sitting right there.. I called for over 3 hours to the front desk. Terrible staff

Our safe wouldn’t open, they said they would replace it with one that worked, but never did!, one of the bedside lamps was broken. They said they would call maintenance, but the lamp was still not working during our stay. Over all the hotel is very nice, comfy beds.

I feel like hotels give you second rate rooms when you book with Expedia.

Breakfast in the restaurant was great. King suite was very comfortable!

The pool was nice to have except it only has three ladder access no stairs to get in and out of the pool. The hot tub was nice but on the coolish side. The room was nice but could have used a small update as the sink had a huge crack in it and the bath tub toilet could use a good scrub or a replacement. Otherwise it was a good stay.

I liked the cleanliness bu the limited hours of the restaurant was not my liking.

Everything about the property was clean the rooms were clean. But the staff were shy and spoke very quietly. The one when we arrived seemed scared and didn't know how to do her job after changing my credit card the wrong amount. As I was paying for the room so I would have paid twice if my credit card said no go. Then I used a different card for the deposit and she charged that one the same amount. So she reversed it and the card got flagged as a suspicious transaction. Room was done when we arrived never done again in two day stay. Will just choose a different hotel next time. The restaurant was great tho excellent staff there.

The dble suite my husband and I stayed in was perfect, extra room for our comfortable stay for three great night's. I, in hopes that their restaurant in the future, will stay open all day long and not close during lunch time. I cannot wait to go back to stay again. Thank you Radisson.

Price and location were perfect for what I needed. I liked that it was close to downtown but far enough away that it was quiet. Nice facilities, i.e. pool, gym, and hot tub. Staff were always friendly and accommodating.

Pool was great, had to share with the local private lesson swimming school and they were lovely. Beds were comfortable, fridge didn’t work. Close to Hwy 63 so very easy to find. Convenient for access to things. Bears were out back overnight so don’t walk around the property alone!

Room was great with three beds and 2 TV's. Bathroom was not cleaned well with hair on the floor etc. Also floors in the rooms had not been vacuumed.

Review

The reason for our stay at the Radisson was so we could use the pool for our son's birthday. Check in took longer than usual. When we got to the room my son used the washroom, the toilet started pouring water out of the tank on top of the toilet. We had to bring our stuff back downstairs to change rooms. As this was the only style of this room available (2 queen beds in the main area and a bedroom with another queen bed), we had to downgrade to a room with one king bed and one queen in a bedroom. We were not given any type of discount for having to downgrade. Next we headed to the pool, my son really enjoyed the waterslide. When I got in the hot tub, my legs instantly got itchy. We were informed by another person staying in the hotel that the pool/hot tub was closed most of their stay due to chemical imbalances. He also mentioned there was no hot water in the hotel. We assumed these issues were all fixed as we had not been informed of them upon check in. When we got back to the room, I wanted to give the kids a bath. There was no hot water, it was slightly warmer than lukewarm at best. I was mad that we were not informed of the water issues when we got there. The next morning my husband brought my son swimming again. When they were still in the pool, maintenance came in to shut down the hot tub once again due to a "chemical imbalance". My son later that day developed a rash all over his body because of it. He still has the rash the next day!

Room wasnt cleaned for entire 3 night stay Also banged head on overhead hazard that i reported. They did attempt a temporary repair but ny head and neck still hurt from it . No effort was made to compensate me for this incident

Stayed there for my daughter’s birthday. Hotel was very accommodating and the urban kitchen restaurant went above and beyond to ensure my daughter felt extra special on her day. They decorated the table for her with balloons and gave her a free dessert

The pool and hot tub were small, the pool way too cold and the hot tub water was a little dingy. The biggest issue was the restaurant. The service was horrible and it was ridiculously expensive. We found out after that if we had booked through the hotel and not Expedia our $75 not great breakfast would have been included….

The room was recently renovated and wonderfully set up. I enjoyed multiple meals in the restaurant - the staff were so friendly and helpful. The conference facilities could use some updating to match the rest of the hotel.

The property was in good repair clean. The staff very friendly. I was not happy that the restaurant was not open expect for breakfast. The breakfast was fair the first 2 mornings was good, the coffee fantastic we missed one breakfast and our laslt was not the best. Staff remained friendly.

We usually stay here when we go to Fort Mac to visit my husband. The stay is always good. However, we had to buy more breakfast coupons and it wasn’t worth it. The breakfasts must be microwaved and the eggs were frozen still, the whole breakfast was dry and crunchy. Needless to say, we went out and had to spend even more money on breakfast because they were inedible. The pool is great though! And the guy that works evenings is so nice. So accommodating!
