1 night in Dunedin
Or stay started with a very pleasant and helpful check in. Great location and reserving a car park is an excellent idea. The hotel is situated walking distance to downtown and various sights like the train station, Settlers Museum.
Good location , clean room , helpful staff
Good location easy to walk to nearby restaurants shopping area. Friendly staff - also cheerful, happy musical, cleaning staff !! Receptionist was helpful.

Reception closes pretty early, we only saw them once to drop off the keys on check-out. This meant when arriving at 8pm we were quite confused about what to do as reception was closed. Also our car park in the secure park, had been taken by another tenant. The staff helped over the phone, and everything was fine in the end, but this made arrival and check-in an annoying process.
Good location
Great location, close to town centre and supermarket. The bed was super comfy, nice and clean room. Car parking is an additional cost but worth it as it’s secured parking.
The only real fault would be you can hear other room doors closing but I will be using Quest either way in the future.
The room was good, bed comfortable. No air conditioning. The bathroom fan went continuously and was noisy but with the door closed it was ok.
Great location for museums and eating places ,nice room with excellent facilities for clothing washing half way through holiday
Great location
Excellent location close to town, easy to get around. Mobility park was at far end of the parking area, not very convenient. Mobility bathroom was good, would stay again/
This property was stunning and beautiful with everything I need for individual or family. I had a great stay here and enjoyed every moment at Dunedin. Very clean and house keeping services done by staff. It has two TVs with streaming options from my iPhone. How cool is that !!! This apartment was just like a house for two adults. They provided 2 sofas, dining table with chairs, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, ironing, air conditioner and many other stuff. They supplied cleaning products for dishwasher and washing machine too. Room heaters at all rooms were fine and working well. After this stay, I decided to stay mostly in QUEST properties in my future travels
It is very central to.most tourist activities. Room was very spacious.
Great stay, clean and close to town with plenty of dinning options. Apartment was great with everything you need and great big bed to sleep
Easy stay in a great location
The place was nice and central to town and other local attractions. Everything within walking distance and local amenities so close. Next time will try and stay for longer
Very clean. Close to everything ❤️
Great location that’s central to everything central Dunedin has to offer. Staff were really friendly
Everything was nice and was close to the shops
Great location and amazing service.
Late arrival process didnt work for us as door would not unlock remotely. Even checked in guests couldn't get in with the key card. Once in everything was good
Awesome location and super friendly staff. Would come again! Thanks guys.
Quiet room, secure car park. Equidistant from and very near to New World and Countdown. Free access to a choice of 2 fully equipped gyms. Golf umbrellas available for use at reception. Friendly and helpful staff. Nice detail - the 2 framed pictures decorating the room were prints of local street art
Easy to park handy to everything very good.
Convenient location.
The property is tired and has major construction work across the road with concrete hammers through the night. That's not their fault but pricing should reflect the tired interiors and the disturbance. At the moment, this shouldn't be more than a $100 a night stay.
Awesome location can walk to Octogon and next door to supermarket
One night stay no problems at - have stayed here before
Great, spacious room. Comfortable bed. Staff were very nice and accomodating with an early check-in.
Place was very well situated in the heart of yhe city. 5 min walk to grocery store. Helpful at reception. Everything we needed in our 2 night stay.
Easy / clean / value
It's close to Dunedin Hospital
Perfect for a couple of days stay. Well provisioned apartment in a great location
friendly; close to town, lots of things going on
Great value for money at this centrally located hotel. Definitely would stay again.
We stayed two nights and enjoyed our stay! The staff were very helpful and lovely to deal with! It's close to the Octagon, shops and restaurants so we parked the car and walked most places. There is also a Countdown right next door. The studio room was spacious and had a little kitchenette with a fridge, sink and microwave. Our only small issue was that the shower was a a bit outdated and sat a bit low so trying to wash your hair was a bit uncomfortable. But overall, a great stay, would stay again!
The room was extremely hot and did not have AC, only a heater. While this might be normal in Dunedin, you need an option to cool down. You couldn't open the windows as it was to noisy due to it being close to the centre of town. The toilet also ran, so running water all night if you didn't get up and fix the issue. I would stay there again though as it was comfortable and easy access to town and transport.
All the staff were lovely, and the room was fairly clean. My only complaint was the shower didn't drain fast enough, so you found yourself in ankle depth water by the end of a shower.
Very convenient for access to the Hospital.
All was good
Walked in room and room was warm.
Nice bright warm welcoming room. Great bed. I checked in late about 6 pm ad had to use the outside intercom. Was exceptionally hard to hear the person on the other end with all the traffic noise from SH 1.
Very handy location to CBD, secure paid parking. Dunedin Hospital build noise could be an issue during the week, ear plugs supplied for road noise in front unit but we enjoyed watching the traffic etc - no need for ear plugs on a Saturday night. Kitchen a bonus
Great location close to restaurants and shopping. Comfortable room and bed.
Reception staff are friendly, room was clean and tidy, parking was bookable which is ideal. Felt that the thin blanket used as a quilt wasn't enough to keep warm though (electric blanket was too hot). Bit like Goldilocks' porridge ;D
Great room, excellent staff who were super helpful and a fantastic location.
Nice stay for family
It ticked all boxes for us. Laundry, kitchen, and the one bedroom apartment is perfect for our family traveling with kids. Great shower in our room too.
Very convenient to town !
Yeah Nah
Very modern - my room was right beside busy road opposite a building site - road noise an issue
Confusing check in as arrived just after 4 and no staff. Another guest helped with finding key etc.
Good stay
Bathroom lighting over mirror poorly positioned
The room was locely and warm when i arrived, made my stay alot better during these winter months.
Lovely place to stay
Noisy but ok
Great property. Nice and central but cleanliness needs some work.
Helpful staff and the unit was clean and tidy. We will stay again.
Perfect central location to the city. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Staff were friendly and easy deal with, accommodated us with a late check out and held our baggae until our flight out.
Good
Very convenient location, secure parking, clean room and good value
Very helpful and friendly customer service from Georgina in housekeeping.
We stayed in an apartment with cooking facilities… the whole apartment was pretty grimy and smelt of cooked food.
Good place
Good location and value for money. Undercover parking. Clean. Only issue was a leak in the ceiling of the shower which we reported and I’m sure will be fixed.
.
Very central. Easy walk to restaurants and shops and train station. Secure parking. At present 2 big construction sites across the road so you could hear and feel the construction during the day. Police headquarters right next door and that was the view from the room but no issue with it.
Friendly staff and they let me leave my car in the car park at no charge. Amazing service will definitely come back to stay
Building of new hospital across the street early morning construction noise. Not ideal and realise beyond Quests control
No park available for my visit
Great for our needs. Is very handy to everything and we don’t need all the extras because we are usually attending conferences or catching up with friends and family. Liked the high pressure shower and the spaciousness.
Loved the room and facilities, couldn’t fault them. Shower/bath combo was a bit dated, but everything else was lovely and the location was fantastic - especially to walk to the farmers market on Saturday morning. What they DON’T tell you is the property is opposite a huge hospital building project and a machine will be hammering in humongous piles, so the hotel building shook every 8 seconds. Fine if you’re only there for the evening, but not great in the afternoon. My room (221) also backed onto the lift, so the 5am lift wake up wasn’t appreciated!
They have gated onsite parking, and the rooms have a kitchenette. Very close walking to the downtown shops and restaurants.
All good
Very well placed hotel with parking - although had to be pre-booked - much appreciated Staff friendly Well designed apartment with everything you could need definitely stay again
Check in was 2pm, but unfortunately the apartment was not ready until 2.45pm. There was construction happening across the road (pile driving), but we were out most of the day and it stopped at 5.10pm. The family apartment with twin beds and King bed was great. Really enjoyed how the apartment was serviced everyday. There was the option for breakfast available by request. Having a carpark booked in the Quest was essential, as this was a safe option for the security of our rental car. I was concerned that our apartment was entered by another family when we were at dinner (whose keys worked on the lock and ours stopped working). It appeared our apartment may have been double booked, however this was resolved in a very timely manner. Other then a couple of hiccups our stay was amazing, the Quest is central to everything and walking distance to The Octagon, Central Dunedin, the Railway Station, Otago University, restaurants and night clubs/bars. It's a great option for a family, couples, or single person.
Lovely welcoming room and quest always have great kitchenette facilities. A great laundry facility on the floor was a plus. Will stay again. Great base to explore Dunedin city. Not a resort- just a really pleasant place to rest at end of day. Countdown Suoermarket a couple of doors away. You must prebook the limited onsite parking- about $15 per day
Very clean. Friendly staff. Walking distance yo the quadrant and university campus
Staff were friendly and helpful. But there was major construction across the street which made the building shake and was very noisy all day.
Good clean, good supply of goods for refreshments
Very nice property. The room facilities, washing machine, drier, fridge, dishwasher etc. was great. Our room, which was at the front, was at times a bit noisy while trying to sleep, probably made worse because we are not used to noise.
The space and cleanliness of the room
Right in town for easy walking
Very close to town. No aircon.
Thankyou to the lovely gentleman at reception who help with my dad's laundry got it back to hospital quickly , enjoyed my stay will be back thankyou so close to hospital walking distance
Good place to stay for the night.
Fantastic place! We needed to change our check in a day earlier, and we were super grateful that the staff member was able to help us with that with ease. It was a smooth check in for after hours, clean and great amenities!
Unfortunately the service was lacking, at 4.40 the staff member was more interested in closing up for the day. There was no service for two days because it was a public holiday.
Great hotel for the price… excellent location. The paid parking is safe and convenient on the premises.
Not up to expectations for Quest
The unit was not up to the usual Quest standard. The unit would benefit from some fittings upgrade and maintenance eg kitchen tap is unstable, the side table is cheap and wobbly. The bathroom doesn't have an extractor or heater and the towel rail isn't heated. It would be cold in the winter.
Great central location, quiet modern rooms and comfy bed
Location, staff service
Lovely Short Stay
Lovely short stay. Friendly staff, unit modern, clean & tidy. Centrally based, very handy to the Centre of Dunedin & it’s ships and restaurants
Great position
excellent location ,so handy to all facilities of the citythat we wanted to access.having the car park was an added bonus
Hotel charge room cleaning fee $50 because of cooking in a room with smell. There is a kitchen facility, suppose guest may cook. I cooked for dinner & open all the windows, I felt no smell in a room next day morning, however hotel charge cleaning fee. Hotel staff said there was a card plate shown (clearing fee $50-150) inside a cupboard, I didn’t find it. If this is hotel policy, why nobody tell me when I check in or that card plate should be put on table, so if you cook in a room, you may prepare min. cleaning fee. If I know it when I make room reservation, I don’t mind to pay. Check out time is 10am, an impolite man knocked the door at 10:05 to chase me to check out, I checked out 10:15 finally. I had stayed Quest Hotel in Rotorua, Christchurch, Wellington & Auckland before, all they didn’t charge any cleaning fee because of smell. Bad experience in Dunedin. I will not recommend my friend to stay at Quest any more.
Great location for my Mercy hospital visit. Supermarket next door. Carpark available. Older bathroom but fine. Difficult to get in if you miss entry due to one way streets and roadworks
We had to book a hotel last minute due to a flight cancellation and Quest was ideal and great value for money. Everything was clean, the rooms were spacious and the lady on the checkin desk was really helpful. Also a great central location with plenty of restaurants in walking distance.
A lovely clean room with all the expected amenities, friendly staff.
Really easy to check in - friendly staff
Love the shower was amazing
