Easy to find, ability to walk everywhere and close to the Pub for my husband.
Great location and easy options for food and entertainment. Parking on request was excellent too.
Balcony was very dirty. Couch uncomfortable
Great location and easy to walk around. Near to lots of restaurants. Rooms a bit pokey
Spacious, full serviced apartment and lounge room plus bedroom. Large bathroom. Quiet building in the center of town and lovely helpful and welcoming staff. Will come again.
Great property located close to everything in the city. Only complaint would be the back alley where parking is was noisy at night and the rubbish bins from nearly restaurants etc were left open.
The apartment was clean and modern . We were able to book a parking space at the back of the hotel Quest administration .Other wise street parking difficult .You need to do this well before your stay as spaces are limited . Variety of resteraunts close by .
A little noisy with the restaurants exhaust which is very loud but thank goodness it is turned off around 11.30pm
Sleep well, I feel like home. Reception are friendly any helpful. Can't wait to become back again. I very enjoyed my stay.
Property is centrally located
Good location .Central to everything, staff very friendly and helpful .
This property is in a great location and is central to everything including transport. Well presented but the 2 bed apartment had a funny layout of furniture in the living room. Comfortable but not luxurious
The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was equipped with everything needed for a great stay. I recommend this hotel and will stay with Quest on my future trips.
Great location and a touch of old world charm but with everything you’d need.
Everything worked well. Room was very spacious with a lovely large covered balcony. Old-worldly, it looks like it's from the same vintage as the old parliament house. Reception team were great. No room servicing on Sunday we discovered but that was no big deal. Kitchen facilities in room were good. Very comfy bed. Basic but modern bathroom.
Bathroom clean, but patchy paintwork over cracks and mould and sink with lots of cracks.. lovely soft towels and bed very comfy. Well equipped kitchen
Clean and handy location..the property is a little run down and older but tidy.
Convenient in walking distance of shops amd transport.
Room was great but the cleaning up of bar staff below our window at 1am wasn't great.
Property manager was great.
A little noisy with outside activity early in the morning and the lift was inoperative but apart from that the hotel was fine.
Located right in the CBD with great dining options.
Good location for our needs
Despite a well appointed room, the television remote didn’t work. There was also loud air conditioning noise outside the room all night switching on and off. Managed 4 hours broken sleep as a result.
The staff were helpful and nice. The room was in average condition, the bathroom and kitchen in sore need of an update with a temperamental shower. I stayed in an executive apartment which was spacious and airy with a balcony. It was expensive for the quality of accomodation. The area is very convenient with plenty of bars and restaurants but with single glazing the property is not for the light sleeper.
Good location and well-fitted-out apartment. The entrance from the parking area behind the building needs to be steam cleaned - very unpleasant.
Very very happy with the location and accomodation at the Quest. Period art deco style building with lots of rooms with balconies which extend the room size. Bedrooms and lounge are good sized and the kitchen has everything needed to cater for a multi day stay. Many restaurants and bars available at street level and again on the adjacent Sydney building which has a laneway eating venue too. Its walkable to Canberra centre and the wider spaced attractions easily accessed from local roads. The hotel has limited onsite parking which is open but safe. Staff very good as parking and room choice was granted as requested at the time of booking. Highly recommend this property.
Very impressed
We loved our night stay at Quest Canberra, sorry we could only stay the one night as a stopover travelling to Sydney. Our apartment was clean, neat and huge with large balcony that looked out over the street. Staff were friendly and helpful. Everything we needed was in walking distance. Our whole experience in Canberra although short was wonderful, we will definitely be back.
Quirky facility in these older Canberra Buildings. The lift is..... curious, the creaks and groans bely quite a nice affordable place to stay
Centrally located and close to everything in the CBD
The room was very large and clean, great location.
The room is very clean . Reception is very nice.
all perfect, just what i wanted
Nice hotel. Would stay again, pleasant experience
Good stay
Comfortable, great location, spacious rooms & friendly staff. Would stay again.
Very good
Great location
Great locations. Didnt like furniture in the unit was broken and i nearly fell off the chair.
I have stayed at Quest before and it has been good. This time both TV's in the room weren't working properly and hotel staff couldn't fix them. The carpet was worn through the tap fitting in the shower had broken. We also had a knock on the door in the morning only to find a guy trying to scam me out of $50. He must have snuck past reception. While not a problem - I really didn't expect that in CBR.
Execellent accommodation in a great location.
My wife and I stayed in the Quest Canberra for two nights in October 2023. We loved the place! Very well located and the place has everything you may need. The room (Studio Apt) was spacious, in great condition, and very well appointed. We liked it so much that we are now looking for Quest in other locations as we tour Australia and New Zealand. The Staff were also very friendly and helpful. We have stayed at many establishments (40+) this year, and this was one of the very best.
Great
Good place to stay in Civic.
Convenient, right in the heart of Canberra, basic kitchen facilities. Only issue: garbage trucks make a racket at 5 am in the back alleyway. Reception staff were very helpful.
Very cozy
Great location. Excellent restaurants and bars very close by. Shopping centre easy walk. Public transport close by Well presented property
Good property in a great location. Ammenities are fairly basic, but the location is great with plenty of options for food and drink. Staff are lovely and very helpful. We’ll be back.
Not Fussed
This place is in need of maintenance. The elevator made horrible noises and panels had been removed. It was quite unnerving. The tap in the kitchen was really loose. The windowsill in the bathroom was very dusty and an ugly bamboo blind that had broken pieces was covering the window.
Beautiful heritage building. Charming home-like vibe
All night long you can here the counterweights on the lift. Extremely loud. Kept us up all night. A lot of construction going on in the area so that is very noisy after 7.30am
Great location! Spacious room!
It is well located and the parking was good
Quest here is good, nice people, pleasant room, but I have already begun strongly discouraging anyone I meet from staying in Canberra for leisure. I found Canberra to be an utterly disgusting part of this country, from the condition of the footpaths to the sub standard food businesses throughout the district, with only a few exceptions. If I was forced to stay in Canberra again I would opt for the small neighbourhood near the excellent Sonoma Cafe, otherwise I would avoid Canberra like the plague.
Convience location.
Quest was again a perfect option for size, cleanliness, location. Regular choice.
Always stay here when visiting Canberra…. It’s in a great location for easy access to shopping and great restaurants and a short stroll to Civic. The rooms are clean and tidy but avoid the balcony rooms on the weekends if you are a light sleeper (noise and loud music from the bars downstairs). Staff are always friendly and helpful
check in at 10pm...lobby closed...no way into the buliding.
Very good
Handy and good amenities.
Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Lift is a little run down but the rest is clean and sufficient for a comfortable stay
This hotel is just a party house for young people wanting to have a good time in a room that is unsupervised by hotel staff after hours as the reception desk is unattended at night and anybody can come and go as they please. Our room was opposite a room jam packed with rowdy youngsters playing ear thumping music all night till we had to ring the manager after midnight and threaten to call the police if he didn't do something about it. The room next to ours also had a group of very noisy men drinking and carrying on like idiots. Never stay here again. Wifi didn't work, phone in the room didn't work, nothing to watch on TV, bathroom dirty, carpets in hallways disgustingly filthy, parking was a pain in the neck, uncomfortable bed (rock hard), dirty blanket. For the price we paid, we could have stayed at the Hyatt or somewhere equally luxurious.
There was no parking available. No where to safely pull up and check in on site. No one at reception when I arrived. Property had awful paint fumes, mould in bathroom, curtains were too small to cover windows. Run down and over priced.
Central to Everything, pretty basic, but clean and quiet
Great location, clean and had everything we need
Sydney is flooding and the hotel had no compassion to allow a cancellation or deferment even thought it was impossible to travel from Sydney to Canberra yesterday.
The carpet in the foyer, hallways and in the apartment itself was quite literally filthy. The room was small with only a view of the back of another building from the window. The whole area around the hotel was very run down and seedy. This is the worst Quest experience ever.
Availability of kitchen utensils, well maintained bathrooms and spacious bedroom.
Kitchen smells from restaurant below were a bit invasive. Would have been more convenient to have been offered parking options. Front desk communications a little unclear re check in but all good in the end.
Great room space with balcony and kitchenette. Good location at civic centre close to amenities.
There’s mould in our shower,
Very comfortable bed
Location, Location, Location - Great spot so many Restaurants to choose close bye. BWS across the road and quick walk to large shopping mall. Hotel was neat and tidy, a little dated but renovations were taking place so improvements underway, Staff always accommodating and polite. Will stay again next time we are in the ACT..
The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room exceeded expectations. The hotel was in an excellent location for us to access the Canberra Theatre Centre and shops.
Just great
Age and position
Large clean modern room with balcony right in the middle of everything. Beautiful building with lots of eateries close by. Staff are extremely accommodating. Only negative comment is that due to the central location there can be street noise.
Large balcony room was great for a group of friends to have a night out in Canberra.
Their elevator needs maintenance. Very loud while in operation and goes on all night. Due to being above restaurants and bars, there is a lot of noise until 3am then garbage trucks collect rubbish come 7ish.
I chose it because of its location.
Liked the location to restaurants
Location, size of unit.
Very comfortable, great location
canberra weekend
The room was lovely however it did smell "smokey" (not sure if this was the cleaning products though. We stays on a Saturday night and there was ALOT of noise from the pub downstairs but that is not the fault of the hotel but something to be aware of. Only other this is the hotwater can be a little sketchy in the shower.
Pretty good stay, close to transport, bus, light rail and coach.Reception very helpful. Plentey of eating places around the hotel
Great location
Very easy check in, great location, very clean & tidy :-)
Great location for a quick visit to Canberra
Quest Canberra
Here are some of the hotels positives, the location of the apartments are central to everything if you have a car the restaurant district is a short walk, (avoid Happys Chinese restaurant they charge and exorbitant merchant card rate}, house cleaning was perfunctory and check in fast and efficient. On the down side make sure you book parking before you arrive as it will cost you $20 a day for the pleasure in addition they charge you a refundable incidental charge? of $100 this might dig into your holiday spendies, be aware of the noise that travels from the down stair pub into your balcony apartment, the apartments need to be better sound and light proofed as the doors and curtains down close together properly. All in all we rated the hotel 6/10, would we return again to the apartments for a second stay, probably not.
Central and accessible to Canberra food and entertainment precinct.
Parking was 400 metres from the property. At time of booking it wasn’t made clear that secure parking had to be booked in advance. Internal bathroom but extractor fan didn’t work. Room too small for two bedside tables. Noisy at night and early morning due to nightclubs close by.
Position was excellent. But incessant loud music from venue below made evenings a challenge
Had a good stay. The bed was comfortable.
The room was comfortable and recently renovated. The location is central in the city and the staff were very helpful.
Room was pleasant enough though no comfortable chair in which to sit but 2 tables ( unnecessary) Noisy from bars and nightclubs outside windows impossible to sleep. not good enough
Apartment great with 2 bathrooms and a verandah. Wonderful location in the centre of Canberra with easy access to restaurants for dinner. Parking at the back door!!
Environment noise level unacceptable
We stayed on a Saturday night. There were noise coming from the street the whole night through. People leaving pubs yelling in the street. Hotel facility is otherwise quite good and clean.
Reception staff member was fantastically helpful, as I was working and these really lovely large apartments in a great central location.
TV didn't work which was disappointing and desk not attended so unable to contact them
I quite liked the heritage aspects of the decor and the friendly reception.
Value for money. Nice big room with bedroom and kitchen. A balcony with street view, which was nice on a Saturday night! The room was right over the pub, but was relatively well sound-proofed. Close to all restaurants and pubs, so very well located.
Clean, spacious, simply decorated but dated. Currently being refurbished. Fabulous location central to Canberra with numerous restaurants and cafes around the building. Would stay again when renovations complete.
Great staff and clean hotel. Very convenient location, too.

Our room was lovely with a balcony and full kitchen. There was parking across the road for $15 a day. Very central to everything.
