Stylish but awkward design
It’s stylish hotel with comfortable beds and a good shower. The design is awkward, light switches are small, black on black, there’s no way to just turn on the bathroom light, the sink doesn’t drain well, there was mold under the sink/counter join. The lighted mirror was not adjustable and only works if you’re a hobbit. The first room we were given had no AC but the staff could not believe this although it clearly never works . We were allowed to check in early and we were moved to a bigger room with working AC after a few hours made it clear that the AC still didn’t work in the first room. The rooftop bar was fantastic with great food.
Will forever love staying at the QT! From the friendly and professional staff to the clean and luxurious room, you can not get better
Amazing suite great location to CBD amazing staff beautiful rooftop bar
AMAZING rooftop bar
Great staff and wonderful room!
Check in and out experience was really smooth. Every member of staff I spoke to was really attentive and friendly including staff on the rooftop. Room was perfect and loved the hair care products available in the shower as well as the Dyson hair dryer. Lots of great touches for a wonderful stay!
QT Auckland staff were amazing; room service for cleaning the room was average.
Very cool property. Great location! Very nice, professional and knowledgeable staff
QT was a great location, clean, friendly hotel.
Convenient location, nice modern decor
Great hotel
Lovely hotel
Wasn't sure where to find the prices in the mini bar and also - there was a bottle of wine on the table with two glasses and a card but we weren't sure if it was a gift or not so we left it there
Good location for the Viaduct area.
Hidden gem
Amazing get away. Very polite staff n wonderful rooms n ammeneties. Great room service. Perfect relaxing get away. Perfect location
A great location for short stay or longer. Great art-inspired ambience with amazing restaurant and friendly staff. Will definitely be back!
Two fun nights in downtown Auckland
Great stay. Excellent location (never used out car), cool vibe in hotel which we loved (dacor is modern and fun), hotel rooftop bar is great for a cocktail or dinner. Overall highly recommended.
One of best Auckland stays !!
My girlfriend really liked the Dyson hair dryer and the mesh curtain. I liked the front door and the black robes. Did not like that fact that I couldn’t find any information on how to contact reception
The room was beautiful. I loved the bathroom however the lighting was a little rough. But the room is definitely 5 stars. The VIP bottle of wine I was given was not drinkable. It tasted burnt as if it had been left in the sun for hours and made me and my guest sick. The overall service was equivalent to a basic hotel and not what I expected for a hotel of this rating. I didn’t need housekeeping and put out the sign stating such only to have housekeeping try to come in while I was dressing. She said I was listed as checking out. While she was very kind, it took a bit of convincing that I wasn’t checking out yet. Reception: One gentleman was amazing, the rest were subpar or average in service. I waited over 5 minutes at the front desk because all 3 employees were chitchatting with another guest and taking pictures of her dog. When I was helped, the women couldn’t answer my question and I was told to try back in the morning. Overall a beautiful property with few amenities (the rooftop bar and its staff are the saving grace) and just average service.
Great location for central Auckland, Esther resturant was a highlight however rooftop bar was closed midweek and lighting in rooms was dim.
Stayed here a few nights as the first stop on our honeymoon. Property was clean and modern - rooms were a bit dark but big windows brightened it up. Unfortunately service was not great from the front desk for being an upscale hotel. Upon check in, I requested to redeem expedia VIP perks that were highlighted under the reservation - I was told a bottle of wine would be delivered to the room. It never was and I had to follow up the next day. We were charged for valet parking service at a premium nightly cost to park on the property - otherwise we'd have to find other parking means. We accepted the valet service and fee however, each day we were told they were too busy to get the car so we either wait up to 30 mins or go find it ourselves in the car park. When checking out I asked if there was anything that could be done with the rate being charged as it really was not a valet service and was quite overpriced. I was told I need to pay but they would speak to the manager and someone would email me. It has been 3 weeks and I have still not been contacted.
Beautiful hotel right in the heart of the city
Beautiful modern hotel in a central location in Auckland right by the Viaduct. Despite having "sound proofed" rooms there was still a bit of noise transfer from the neighbouring room and the street. Loved the vibe of the place though!
The staff was excellent and personable, provided VIP service, the room was large, although only 3 hangers were provided and no drawers for clothes, but the locker like wardrobe had a large enough shelf for clothes, just nowhere to store undergarments, socks, etc. I didn't use the mini bar but it is fully stocked with alcohol, soft drinks and snacks. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay here, the staff were welcoming and helpful. The valet parking situation was a bit strange for the price but it was safe.
Our room was beautiful. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with great recommendations. This location was terrific for exploring Auckland.
Lovely room, good location. The restaurant was so good!
Overall the room and hotel were great. Most of the restaurant staff was really lovely, except perhaps the restaurant mgr/supervisor who seemed a bit condescending at all times - not to his staff, but to the clients. It was a bit off-putting. I felt that asking him for help was like asking him for a limb. Whereas any other staff member was kind and eager to assist, he just had a no-can-do type of response. Maybe he has having a bad day, it’s certainly possible, and it didn’t put a damper on my stay, I just think that maybe he could have been a bit on the friendlier, proactive/optimistic side. Still a five star experience overall. The room was absolutely spectacular.
Loved the design of the hotel and the artwork.
Very noisy - poor acoustics
Beautiful hotel but the acoustics in the room was terrible. Every noise from the next room guests could be heard and were heard all night long
Poor service and refusal to honour welcome gifts
I mistakenly booked the wrong dates for my stay. I tried to contact the hotel on multiple occasions but they did not reply or answer the phone. When I arrived they told me I had to pay for another night. I had no option on where to stay as we were having a family reunion. I asked them to price match the hotels.com price which they agreed to do and then tried to charge me a higher rate. I then stood at the check in desk and booked a reduced rate online; and had to come back later to complete the check in as they were unable to do this as they had not yet received the booking. Both stays offered a welcome gift - the hotel refused to honour these as their managing company had changed even though this was clearly stated on both my bookings. They have offered me a discount to stay in the future but I would not stay here again. It's very disappointing as I had looked forward to this stay.
QT Auckland has wonderful room for me. Very comfy and the checking process was very smooth. Very nice place stay in the city. The room I got had a very nice view of the city.
Rooftop cocktails
Loved my 3 night stay here. Staff were so lovely and made my solo rooftop bar experience great. Sensational cocktails !
Great location near Viaduct harbor. Great breakfasts.
Lovely hotel and will definitely be back when returning to Auckland. The hotel was the perfect blend of style and comfort. The employees were welcoming and friendly.
Good design
Perfect location and amenitites. Food is excellent! Breakfast...wow!!!!
Went above and beyond to make it the best anniversary for me and my partner. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Great dining options. Room service was great. Would definitely go back again :)
Greeted by incredible staff who personalised our room and loved our stay
Everything about this hotel was just what we needed after a red eye 13 hour flight. The staff was exceptional with recommendations of nearby restaurants and we finished our day with a drink in the rooftop bar and dinner at the excellent hotel restaurant. Would highly recommend this hotel and plan on looking for other QT properties. Thank you to all staff throughout property that made up feel so welcome!!!
The rooms are nicely appointed and the bathrooms are well finished, so overall a comfortable stay. However I would note that the "sound proofing" is absolutely non-existent in the standard rooms....to the extent where I could clearly hear other room accupants 'activities', phone calls, conversations, and even opening of a plastic bag! I noted this to check-in staff and they kindly upgraded me which was appreciate as I had a lot of work to do. The upgraded room was on the top floor and far far better sound insultation, and I was told breakfast was being included as well. I checked out and again was told breakfast was included. I went to the dining area, made my breakfast choice, ordered, and was then told it wasn't included! On top of this I wasn't offered the Silver member VIP access benefit, and so whilst the room was nice (and once upgraded the room was on par with the price-point) the overall experience was definately not a standard I am used to encountering on my business travels. Unfortunate. The staff were all very friendly, but seems some pieces of the puzzle aren't connecting.
the uniqueness of the property - love it
Great rooms, cozy modern industrial feel, quiet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Easy to walk to shopping, dining, tourist attractions. Fantastic restaurant and bar on site.
Beautiful decor in the rooms. Great location, nice and quiet.
Not as good as out other stays
Although not disabled we were given a room that could accomodate a disabled person. This included a wet area shower with a pull down seat and a toilet with a padded back. The bathroom set up did not have a proper vanity and lacked a monsoon shower head. Where was also only one mug for tea and only a few tea bags. As it was late at night when we arrived I was too tired to ask for a different room in hindsight I should have.
Lovely modern hotel and roof top bar/dining. Great attention to details and little luxuries.
Fabulous room. Loved the Dyson hairdryer and Kevin Murphy products.
a pleasent decor helpful staff nice room (quirky!) nice plants by my room thanks
Great staff, Friendly, amazing dining experince
Good
Amazing hotel, super relaxing stay. Great location, very comfortable rooms with everything close by.
Loved the whole ambience and vibe and the dining option were fab
Make it make sense
An awesome stay for my daughter’s book launch party on the rooftop bar. Would highly recommend 😊
Could be better
Was pretty average to be honest. I was expecting such a higher level for this kind of hotel and this kind of price and was quite disappointed to spend almost $300 a night and have a bathroom sink clogged and jot draining, an extremely noisy room (I e we’re by the elevator) got woken up multiple times a night, both nights by people yelling and playing music in the hallway. It felt like we were staying in a cheap party hotel and was very disappointed to see this kind of clientele staying in say “high class” hotel. Also disappointing that the staff didn’t let us know of a free bottle of wine which we got because of our Expedia status. Luckily I had seen it on an email and know about it…
Always a fabulous stay!
Fabulous stay. Food, service and rooms are all something that makes us return.
Was happily suprised by the upgrade to a suite but not suprised by the cleanliness, the luxury of the room or the high quality dining and assistance by the sommelier to match wines with our dinner. Exceptional.
Loved our stay - the rooms the rooftop bar the staff the entire vibe.
Overall a very good experience and would choose to stay there again Just one thing to note, a little more attention to staff training and appearence would really lift the standard
Great check in and out. Rooms are great, beautifully styled and everything working well. The bathroom design and layout was also great.
Cool vibe, fantastic location and excellent service.
Great place to stay
Very nice location
Amazing as always
Amazing - as always as we have become accustomed to. Might be the place we stay at when we want to treat ourselves - qt across the globe has always delivered. Room service is a delight also.
The staff were lovely and I always wanted to stay here - the rooms are lovely and well thought out. But there appears to not be a no party policy - we were woken up untill 1.30 by large groups of very noisy girls its was So frustrating. But Sunday night there was none of that. Also good to note if you want your room made up you much put a sign on your door
Relatively small room. Staff were helpful. Great location.
Always stay here service is second to none and rooms are always clean and well maintained. Quiet location but in good walking distance to Britmart.
.
No customer focus ..
This property is well located but the day F&B staff are not trained properly, and the menu tries too hard, none of the service items are customer focused just for some look they are trying for( hot coffee in a cup with no handle , toast served on a plate with no space to actually butter it, no consideration for small children like no booster seats, all beverages served in adult glassware. Room was serviced only twice in 5 days not grasp the concept of children napping at noon. And even after a call to ask for service after day 3 at 2.30 nothing.. this after room service put a tray with leaky soup on our bed. They know the soup leaks and these stupid wooden boxes leak ( but no change for the sake of customers after years ) all about the money no actual focus on hospitality or the actual guests. More concern about billing the right room than remembering your coffee order or that you asked for the check…stay if you need a central location but only dine for dinner where the night crew actually have some level of skill.
Although our check-in wasn’t the best, the staff did a fantastic job at delivering a memorable stay. The staff is really what shines at QT Auckland.
Fantastic stay, love how all the ammenities are Kevin Murphy! Love the moodiness of the rooms too! Would definitely stay again!
Lights in the room are a nightmare to operate. Was mark on the sheets which did not know where it came from.
Beautiful Hotel.
Good location.
Beautiful property my partner and I loved our stay
Beautiful well equipped room. A pleasant eating experience. Everything we wished for. This hotel is a couple of blocks walk to the beautiful, stunning harbour.
What we liked about this hotel is the location, with easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the harbor. What we didn’t like is the room cleaning standard. A dirty carpet under the bed, dusty room, lights are very dim. Also, staff were nice but kind of casual in dealing with customers. On the day of our arrival, we had a water leak under the sink and the room wasn’t cleaned properly. They fixed the leak but didn’t clean the room because house keepers had left after 4pm. On our last day, we requested a wake up call at 5 am, they called us a 6, thankfully we have our alarm set on our phones. I’m not sure we’re staying at this hotel again.
Very nice hotel. Would have liked more coffee pods in the room and instructions on how to use the Nespresso coffee maker. Dining at the Esther was excellent.
It should have been a great hotel but lacked something. Room was very dark and a strange layout. We cut our booking short and switched hotels
.
Nice hotel with eclectic decor. Great staff. Busy and bustling. Great location for visiting Auckland. Close to harbor, cruise terminal and transportation.
Auckland Gem
QT is an amazing hotel! Location is perfect too! We love their rooftop bar with beautiful panoramic views of the harbor. Would definitely stay here again!
Great location
Great hotel, loved it overall. Expected and hoped for a room on a higher floor to get a view, and the free bottle of wine wasn’t put out, but overall really very good.
Great staff and nice rooms
The Hotel chain is generally really good. The room was not sound proof. The roof top bar was two floors above yet we could hear furniture being dragged across the floor all evening until around 2am. We were in room 422 so maybe avoid that side of the building.
Hotel staff was clueless about helping international travelers. Clueless.
really nice hotel in Wynyard Quarter close to central city. really nicely furbished room.
No acknowledgement of membership on arrival. Front line staff member (female, possibly French) was rude.
Delightful place to stay. Popular, clean, modern. Difficult to park car for valet service (this should be reviewed). Dining was good, but expensive and outside the norm.
Decoration up to date. Poeple very nice and helpfull. But dark in the room, lack of light Poeple at the bar and resto go out to smoke and talk and we hear them clearly, hard to sleep (room on second floor)
QT Stay
The room was clean and spacious, but there was still nowhere to put anything like toiletry bag in bathroom, or suitcases in room. Of the three nights we stayed at the QT Auckland, we had very noisy neighbors. The rooms had no soundproofing. Service at dinner was impeccable. Service at breakfast was awful, and the restaurant was just about empty. The host saw me waiting for a table, but took his time getting over to me. The waitress was just a bad. I asked for a glass of water which she acknowledged, but the water never came. I got up and poured my own glass of water even though she was milling around.
Nice hotel, good location
The stay was good. It’s a great location for exploring the area with ferries out to the Islands and plenty of bars and restaurants close by. Staff were generally helpful however communication prior to stay was non existent! I emailed twice and received no reply. My daughter also emailed twice and received no reply. I tried to phone the hotel on numerous occasions but received no answer. I was concerned about parking but I couldn’t confirm what the parking situation was because nobody would answer my emails/calls. There is valet parking which is expensive but it was a good service and saved any parking issues.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but the hotel management, service and amenities are not up to the standard of a five-star hotel." The bathroom amenities, furniture, and bed in the hotel room, the loud and fast music in the restaurant , back based decoration and very dim lighting were not suitable for a comfortable and relaxing stay. There were some other issues like, the sink in the bathroom didn't drain properly، the shower diverter was quite stiff, especially when you're taking a shower and your hands are wet, the iron wardrobe made a lot of noise when closing." In addition , there was no trash can in the room, the UBS-C adaptor and port were not available in the room and hotel area.
Excellent all round
Really terrific place with a fantastic suite and really kind and helpful staff. We had been traveling for two days and arrived very early. They were so kind to allow us access to our room, so we could refresh ourselves. The Dyson hairdryer is always a great addition to their impeccable room. Rooftop bar was lovely and food and drinks very good. Will definitely cjoose on of their hotels again.
Room was nice and spacious and the rooftop bar was great. Would definitely stay again
Very eloquent, beautiful spot all round. Amazing Rooftop Bar n Food and very polite helpful staff.
Great place to stay. Excellent location and stunning hotel
Great place would stay again

On the QT.
Checking in and checking out was great. The room was splendid. TV system confused this dumb Canuck, but that hardly matters. Shout out to Zoe, who helped us check in our car and really showed what good service looks like. Huzzah!
