Great location, great view an about a block away to the entrance of the pyramids. Food was great and so was the staff.
Amazing property in Luxor. Personally this was my first time traveling to Luxor, and I am happy I chose this Hotel. They seem to have been there for a long time, and definitelly know what they're doing. Rooms are clean and have a great view of the West Bank. Breakfast is delitious and they have a taxi service that is great! Highly recomend!
n muy amables
Every was good so far but on my stay one staff tried to enter to my room at night thank goodness I was in with the latch on.
The owner turned the hotel into a cash cow. No renovation, bad service, dirty rooms, damaged furnitures, old beds. They just have the hotel because it is by the river. There are better hotels with similar rates in the city
Very clean great staff
Great hotel. Great staff. Great breakfast. Great view. Thank you.
The city view side, not the Nile side, is noisy at night due to traffic, and the Wi-Fi hardly works in the rooms. Considering the price, these aspects are quite disappointing.
Location
Very nice plate to stay.
Breakfast need more variety maybe have pancakes instead of crêpes, orange juice instead powder, juice. But overall, the hotel staff was very pleasant.
Friendly staff, beautiful views of the Nile river, great dining options, nice room with balcony.
Do not stay at this hotel. The photos are nice, but the hotel is filthy, they do not keep up with it. Our room was falling apart and absolutely dirty. The breakfast is the worst food I have ever had. The only thing I could swallow was the fruit and I am not a picky eater. They deserve this bad review and need to make these changes before more tourist stay there.
Loved it. Very nice off the Nile river. I did not like that there is no wifi in the rooms and we had to go to reception to have access to wifi. Also, I asked for a full/queen size bed and they gave us 2 twin beds that we had to push together.
The Wifi was an issue
The hosts of this little hotel are very good people. Friendly service and treat you like family. Amazing views of the pyramids while you have breakfast on the rooftop. Will definitely be returning.
The staff here are incredibly kind and understanding people with very good hearts. If you want to feel safe and secure, and reassured that you'll be comfortable and in a breathtakingly beautiful setting, I'd absolutely recommend this hotel.
Large hotel. Good for a short stay. Great dining options. Fantastic swimming pools. Comfortable beds.
Terrible experience
I reserved a king size bed for my husband and I. They put us in two different bed. They said room with king size bed not available. There was no internet access in the room. It was very cold and the heater in the room was not working. We froze to death in the room. It was terrible.
Not sure why others had issues with the hotel. Our staff was more than pleasant. Lovely hotel, staff are very welcoming and helpful with queries. Pool staff are very helpful too! Clean room, and hotel staff are able to make arrangements and help with any issues with our flights or trips. Thank you for a lovely staff, will defo be booking the hotel again if I return to Luxor.
Rooms were not updated, bathroom was old and not clean. Morning breakfast was not organized, no lineup control for omelet station. Coffee and tea station was a joke. Would not recommend this hotel
Where to start, property is not even worth giving 2 stars.we felt unsafe in the room because all doors are broken and anyone can fource to push it open. Bed sheets were given diry and we asked to change them at firstday. Generally rooms were pretty dirty and outdated . We are normally not complaining for small stuff but these are more visible. If you wanted do yourself a favor, please consider another property. Especially free brakefast was awful even 2 star property can provide you decent food choices. One time we were refused to allow into buffet because they given priority to a tour group to eat first. BIG THUMS DOWN. They need your money but not you
We stayed only one night after our Nile cruise and before heading out to the red sea. The staff is very friendly, the hotel has a nice feel to it. Our room was nice and spacious, with a big balcony. The problem was the bathroom. It was in bad condition and definitely needs renovation, tile gaps are black from age/ mold? Shower head is broken in a way where the water sprayed out on one side like a jet so couldn't shower properly. All we wanted is to shower, feel clean and sleep before going further which is why we are disappointed.
Friendly and proactive staff, with safety and comfort top of mind. The hotel is one of the oldest in the area and is dated, but it is well maintained and kept clean. Daily breakfast was fantastic and the morning views of the hot air balloons and the Nile were soon mom it incredible.
Incredibly poor service for a 4 star hotel
Rated 4 stars, but does not deserve that caliber. 4 stars for the pool and the breakfast but otherwise would say it is a 3 star hotel with 2 star service. We have received much better and more hospitable service in Egypt at hotels costing 30 euro per night. We asked them to bring us extra towels 4 times and they were never brought. Our fridge did not close and the phone in the room did not work. Told them about this twice and was not fixed. The third time, they changed us rooms to a smaller room. The hotel manager said he was going to send up a bellboy to bring our luggage to the new room, but no one ever arrived after 20 minutes so moved all our luggage myself. Very few plugs in the room. Wi-Fi is only in the lobby, NOT in the rooms, and barely works even in the lobby.
The worst experience is staying in this property… Uncomfortable bed… b
Good but needs technology upgrade
Conveniently located for access to taxis, pick-ups, for tourist sites. Excellent breakfast buffet for vegans and evening buffet is reasonably priced. There's a very good Italian restaurant in hotel complex. I felt safe and welcomed. Staff was friendly. Rooms need some updating but big complaint is that there is no internet access in the rooms. A very slow free internet is available in the lobby and lobby can get crowded with guests using lobby for wifi access. Nice pool and reasonably priced drinks, Gardens are so pretty that couples come there for wedding photo shoots!
The hotel is a very good installation but the maintenance is very poor. making things look very old and in bad shape, the personnel is very frinedly and the breakfast was very good
Great place to stay, helpful staff and close to all amenities.
This property was beautiful. The pools were unbelievabke. I felt as if I had gone to Hawaiia. Thank you.
Great service
Room was described with wifi and that wasn’t true. Fot People like me that works during traveling it was a nightmare. Have to come down to lobby for a very slow internet 😏
Convenient location and friendly staff
.
The room was nice and kept very clean. The staff is nice but slow and inefficient, particularly in the restaurant. The food was the worst part at this property, The service at the restaurant was slow and inattentive. I try the Italian Restaurant one night and the bread was old and the food was below average. I had to walk to the Royal Sonesta to eat my meals. You cannot walk out the door of this property without being harassed by taxi drivers, vendors, etc. It wasn’t a very good sty.
I was within policy for hotel and hotels.com to cancel one of my nights and could not get ahold of the hotel. Neither could hotels.com. For no reason other than it’s the hotels policy , hotels.com wouldn’t give me refund or credit . The hotel said they changed their number (no number AT all on website) and they ignored my messages on hotels.com emailing service to cancel my one night like a week before booking. Staff was rude down in the breakfast area and gave my husband a dirty look when he asked for a pancake at the pancake station. Bed was super hard and uncomfortable. Terrible for hotels.com and shame on hotel for not having better customer service
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay very pleasant.
This property was so dirty that my husband and I checked out a few hours after check in and went to the hotel next door. I have stayed in many different hotels and countries but this was by far the worst. I am not sure if we just got unlucky with a terrible room but the AC was not working on a 100 F day, the bathroom had bugs in it, the couch siding was falling off, the door to get in was cracked at the hinges, and so on. I respectfully could not sleep in a place such as this. The exterior and pool are great and lovely but inside needs major renovations. Even though we were only staying for 1 night, we just could not. As an aside, outside of the hotel you will get harassed and bothered at least 100 times, no matter how nice/respectful or kind you are by saying “no” in regards to all varieties of services such as taxi, horse carriage ride, etc. My husband and I tried to take a walk just to explore the area and simply had to turn around as it was just unbearable. We did not experience this on our trip in Cairo or Hurghada so unsure if it’s just this area or what.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurants made it easy to dine in.
Mustafa, the front desk was very helpful with our stay in the hotel and responded promptly when assistance needed. All staff are very friendly.
Located in an ideal location in Luxor- a walking distance from Luxor temple and the museums. However, the breakfast and wifi weren’t that great. I had to access the wifi in the lobby.
Overall good property. There are not many dining options around, but the hotel has some restaurants that were open.
Beautiful place right on the river. Very clean and comfortable. Had three good meals in the restaurants. Made our stay in Luxor that more enjoyable.
Not a 4 star hotel
Hotel lobby is beautiful, and deceiving at the same time. The rooms are not up to date and are dirty. Makes you wonder what you can't see. Definitely did not feel like a 4 star room
Suggest to stay in this hotel.
Great hotel
Great hotel, loved my stay there , room was nice and clean and the stuff were very friendly
The rooms are not great (dated, dusty, and broken), but it is made up by the price, good amenities (a swim up bar!), and location adjacent to many other hotels.
The room was very dirty. The tv was very fuzzy and didn’t work and I called twice for someone to come fix it. And they took over an hour to come. No internet anywhere in the building. The second night around 11pm. It smelt like they were pumping perfume into the vents. And we couldn’t sleep cause of the intense smells. The breakfast buffets were so dirty with food splatters on the walls. We even looked at other possible hotels and ways I could cancel our stay at pyramisa by getting a refund cause it was so bad there. Definetly not a 4 star resort.
Excellent service good location beautoful view, good bkfst, dismal non edible supper.for the price go somewhere else.fast reg,tn& out .
Average hotel but acceptable
Amazing views of the river Good location and good breakfast. Bit rundown and not so clean. Lot of dust in corners of the room and behind the bed and pedestals. Lighting very bad in the room.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone super out dated very dusty/ dirty
Top Location Top Staff
A great stay in luxor
Overall, an excellent experience underscored by committed customer service-oriented staff throughout all sections.
Clean and spacious room. Breakfast was good.
It was probably a nice hotel 30 years ago. But management has badly neglected maintenance. My family was trapped in the dark in a malfunctioning elevator. The furniture is all very old. And the entire place needs repainting. Our stay was miserable.
Very dirty rooms , no maintenance, personal not tourism trained, restaurant smelly, they put water tap. We got a gesture from the hotel for a dinner and promise to have a clean room for our second stay but unfortunately nothing changed… This hotel would need a full maintenance and deep cleaning.
The location on the Nile is beautiful. The hotel cut the air conditioning off apparently to save money. This led to fitful and sporadic sleeping. It was absolutely miserable, was not possible to nap during the heat of day and if you open the balcony door at night you will be subjected to the thick automotive pollution and burning of trash and plastic. I missed the first day of privately guided temple tours due to exhaustion from lack of sleep. I am physically fit and acclimated to a hot climate (South Florida USA). I asked for a fan but none were available. I left the hotel two days early and the management refused to refund the days I did not stay. Management falsely claimed Expedia had not initiated a request to change the reservation, claiming it was out of their hands which I had requested days before. Expedia said they tried multiple times to contact the hotel and received no response. Looking like I'll have to get my credit card company to protect me with a charge back. Who wants to go thru this hassle on vacation? I would avoid this hotel at all cost and I'm not one to typically complain about anything.
Great location and decent size rooms. My only complaint is there is no maintenance done to the rooms. They need major updates very outdated unfortunately. Check out the shops outside by the pool. One of the owners of the shop was very nice and friendly his name is Moe I suggest going there for any souvenirs or clothing. Unfortunately there were no Ubers in Luxor. But luckily the hotel has a 24 hr driver you can pay cash and will take you anywhere! His name is Hussein. He works day shift and his brother does the night shift so I would definitely recommend them. They drive a big white SUV. I left Luxor with great memories but I also left Luxor with a good friend. Hussein drove me and my friend around whenever we wanted with no issues. We all bonded so quick and easy! Just agree on a price that you want to pay! Hussein was such a great guy!
Una excelente opción en Luxor
Hermosa vista hacia el río Nilo, puedes usar la piscina, tomar un bote para ver el atardecer. Desayuno muy bueno y diferentes opciones para cenar.
Poorly run hotel
Older hotel that is poorly run. Emailed them questions 1 week in advance and no reply. Got to hotel and 1 room was very dirty, although they allowed us to check in early. We tried to change rooms but then just gave up. No WiFi in rooms. Toilet flush button frequently got stuck and bathroom had signs of no repairs for years. Safe was not working and had to be replaced. Some people were smoking in their rooms at night. We tried to call the front desk to let a family member know we would be late from our hot air balloon ride and many hotel phone numbers on Google, FB, and other websites don't work. Then when we ringed the hotel FD, no one picked up the phone (just kept ringing). Overall would recommend a smaller 2 or 3 star hotel or just someone's house vs coming here. Our local guide said it's the worst large hotel in Luxor.
The spot on the Nile is wonderful. The staff are more then friendly. Thank you so much for caring about guests. The ramps for wheelchair accessibility are, as in most places in Egypt, much too steep.
Es war sehr schön , ruhig .kann ich nur empfehlen.
Caught a boat ride in rear of the property
Excellent view but it seems that there is not a lot of maintenance in the hotel.
very good service
This hotel is deserving of each one of the 5 stars it has. A true gem in Luxor
Bed bug and ant infestation on thw first floor. Broken and uncleaned juice machines. Wifi only available in the lobby. I have all of these bed bug bites my trip was ruined.
This facility is heaven on earth
Toilet was unclean...phone was not working neither wifi...hotel info not up to date
It would be nice if the pool was open later
Worn down room, you get what you pay for accommodation. Though a great view of the Nile.
The room was very spacious with direct access to the terrace with Nile river view. Bathroom equipped with bath, nice hot shower. The room was quite cold with the heating fan being only noisy but not functional. Breakfast good for sweets not that much for savoury if not when the omelette station was available (not clear if there is a starting time or if you just need to ask for it). Restaurant open for breakfast from 6AM. Good food served also a la carte, the only problem there is that the prices are not that clear since the same meal appears many times with different prices. The swimming pool is very nice but the water is quite cold. The communication with the hotel was terrible and delayed. We got the information we needed to plan in advance our stay in Luxor only when it was too late and we had already to organise ourselves differently. The worst, and not expected from such a hotel, was the WiFi internet connection: difficult to connect, automatically disconnected, no connection almost everywhere; WiFi vote: 0!
The hotel has a good location and nice river views. But is an old building with low maintenance.
Great for excursions
Great location and made very effort to be helpful
Very bad at all
Undoubtably the lowest pint of our holiday and the worst experience of staying in a hotel with hotels.com so much so that we didn’t make it past check in.
DO NOT BOOK HERE! THE ROOMS ARE IN HORRIBLE CONDITION! $500 Egyptian Pounds & some of my clothing was stolen by the Housekeepers and the Manager of the property allows Hustlers to stand outside in front of the Hotel and take advantage of guests. You will get robbed if you stay here. The hallways leading to the rooms are dark and dirty. The rooms are cold with old water damaged lamp shades and furniture. I wish I could post pictures here to show you proof. This is not a safe a place to stay! The phones in the rooms dont work! You have to use your own cell phone and text the WhatsApp # listed on an old night stand in the room for help or any assistance. This place is a disgrace! This is NOT a 4 to 5 Star Hotel. Its more like a 1 Star Hotel Don't let the lobby photos & swimming pool pictures fool you.
Definitely a Decent Stay
We loved the staff here. Mahmoud at the front was extremely helpful and honestly vital to the great time we had in Luxor. I will say that the clearly marked non-smoking room we were in did smell a great deal like cigarette smoke. So much so that we had to air the place out for 2 days so we would stop getting headaches. The decor in the hallways and rooms is a bit outdated and the wifi was horrendous, but the lobby and pool/outdoor areas are VERY nice and you may have a beautiful view of the Nile like we did. The breakfast didn't have a great deal of vegan options but neither did most of Egypt so this was no surprise. I would stay here again.
No air condition
The hotel was looking great until we got to the room. Our first day there was no air condition and we reported it to desk. The next day still no air condition and reported it to the front desk and was told its not working because it was HOT outside. After that we moved to another hotel that had air conditioner. The wifi was not working too. Dont use this hotel
amazing pool and outside area lounge area. Hot breakfast buffet for free.
The room that we stayed in was next to a unfinished building with pigeons flying during the day and bats at night time. Bathroom was outdated. No service received at breakfast and waiter came by our table asked us to pay for soda while we were eating. Gym is outdated with exercise equipments from the 80s that are not functioning. Hotel needs to be fully renovated, halls are dark and carpets are dingy. Only positive is the housekeeper who made up our room.
nt Stay Here!
Don’t stay here! The pictures are nice but the rooms are old, dirty and cold. Breakfast was the was terrible and so was the internet. I was only booked for one night or I would have left and gone to another hotel.
Great place to stay.
We stayed 4 nights while in Luxor. The grounds are beautiful and the staff were all very nice.
The property is undergoing renovations which should be completed in the next couple of weeks. There will be a wonderful new enormous reception area. Many other improvements are being made by the recently appointed hotel manager Mr Fekri. The grounds are kept beautifully by an army of gardners and all amenities are available. This was my 4th visit to Pyramisa in 2019.
Nice pool but otherwise not worth the extra money
This hotel was a major disappointment for the money. The pool was very nice but other than that everything seemed run down, the wifi never worked, the breakfast was below average and old food. The hotel staff would bother us all the time like we were out in the streets. When we went to get a taxi to the airport the hotel just tossed into the streets to get haggled with by the taxi and tour touts that would hangout just outside their metal detector. I mean come on, get these people away from your hotel and have a taxi service you can provide your guests with a comfortable, honest, safe and haggle free ride to the airport. Everything in Luxor is a haggle and you would think paying top dollar for a hotel room they could allow a guest to relax and not get haggled in the hotel and right outside the front door. This hotel would be ok at half the price.
Beautiful View and Great Staff
I will first off like to say that the staff at this hotel is nothing short of amazing. From the time we entered the hotel we were provided an opportunity to check in early the staff was very courteous our bags were taken to our room and the amenities were explained thoroughly. My only suggestion would be to focus on improving the Wi-Fi throughout the resort for guests that are coming from abroad and have no local cell phone usage Wi-Fi is instrumental in our communication and ability to share our experience with friends and loved ones back home
Eh.
It was okay, not really as clean or beautiful as pictures describe (as usual). The haggling from even the bellhop was annoying. Internet didn’t work anywhere on the property. Long roundabout hallways to get to rooms due to renovation. The haggling is truly the most unpleasant thing, shouldn’t have to deal with that when staying at a 4-5 star place.
construction
This hotel is currently under construction. While the staff was accommodating & friendly; the place is in major overhaul mode.
Relax , a great view of the nile river , good staff
I have been to this hotel 3 times this year. It is extremely good value for money and located right on the Nile. It is having the reception and some rooms renovated at the moment but there is no disruption to the guests. All the staff are very friendly and warm and the General Manager is often in the breakfast room to receive and greet new guests.
Hotel under remodeling with good amenities
The hotel is old but it has all the amenities that a new modern hotel. Good location. The breakfast included it is no the best. The options are limited. The service is excellent. The hotel is under remodeling.
Disappointed
No food available Poor service Unfriendly staff
Nice place
Great place to stay. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our nights here coming and going.
Not very good
There was delay in check in for 40 minutes in morning. It took long time to find our reservation. The first room they gave us was dirty and hot water tap doesntvwork. So we had to change our room to another one and wasting time on it. Breakfast was not good
Amazing customer service
Good hotel Amazing customer service. Breakfast was excellent.
Fabulous location on Nile
Excellent service from amazing staff. Hotel is rather tired due to lack of tourists, but team more than made up for this. Hotel is not four star as we know it, but was clean and comfortable and well located for all tourist activities. Would I stay again? Yes I would.
defiantly not a 4 star hotel!!
Wifi didn't work even though they kept telling us it did. Air conditioner was horrible and we burned up the whole time we were there there. This is even after we begged for them to turn the air up three times since it is apparently regulated by the front desk. The room was dirty, beds were extremely hard, couldn't use pool or spa area due to horrible hours of open close. Hire lost complete power twice during our stay. Luxor city is great for sight seeing and is the only reason this trip was good. This hotel is cheap in price but not cheap enough......
luxor stay
hotel is not looked after because is not more busy any more due to sutation in egypt
Fantastic Nile view. .
An ubiquitous staying experience.Visiting that hotel 2-3 times a year.love to go back again and again.

Everything was great just wish the balcony was cleaned and not as dusty as we found it. But food was great, staff were friendly and the bed was comfortable
