I loved the friendly staff and the aesthetic of the property. I didn’t like the limited food options and being hassled by the company to do a tour

Overall our experience was disappointing… Pros: -Location/beach -Most of the workers were friendly and welcoming Cons: -Price for the quality -Food (servers were great) -No itinerary/what to expect (yoga, aerobics, etc) -Overall room quality. Our room was dirty/moldy and outdated. Felt like a motel. Our shower was moldy and didn’t drain. We had to wear flip flops every time we showered. Like a gym locker room. -Front desk/guest services was horrible. Not helpful. My girlfriend needed some feminine products one morning. They made us wait 2 hours in the lobby bc they “had to order from the pharmacy”. We were charged a delivery fee and paid $50 for 3 items. Turns out they had the same items in the shop on the resort. When we told this to the guest service manager, to maybe get a refund, even partial, he said there was nothing he could do. The location was by far the best part. The beach/beach staff and bartenders were great. Including Animation.

The food was absolutely horrible. The rooms smell like mildew and it looks like mold. This resort needs to be completely gutted and start over.

Many problem with room. Air conditioner doesn’t work. Iron and hair dryer doesn’t work. Room with musty smell.

This property was located in paradise. The beaches were first-class, and the property's aesthetic was beautiful and clean. However, it is important that I leave a factual review since I wish I had known about these things before booking. First, the building was built in 2003, and most areas have been updated, except for the rooms. The bathrooms especially need some renovation; the hair dryer was attached to the wall but wouldn't stay in place, so it hung to the floor the whole week. I was traveling with my brother, so our room had two twin beds, but the bathroom didn't have a door, making privacy an issue. During our trip, we had to call maintenance several times, the air-conditioning was leaking in the floor and had to be drained, the door lock quit working, causing us to get new keys multiple times (ended up being a battery issue), and lastly the air condition completely stopped work the last two days of the trip. We repeatedly asked for assistance and were told it was being worked on, and once we were told it had been fixed, but it never worked again during our trip. The room was getting into the 80s at night with the balcony door open. Secondly, the food quality was not great and did not agree with my system. By the end of the trip, my stomach hurt after each meal. Once I started eating food at the airport, the issues were resolved. I would not return to this property, but I highly recommend the area.

Expedia rated this property as a 5 star and it should be rated a 3. The rooms are dated. My air conditioning did not work well throughout the stay. The room only had two outlets to charge that were located next to the sink in the washroom. The bed was very hard and we also found a cockroach in our room. The only positive is the beach area is nice and the grounds are maintained well. Shame on Expedia for allowing a rating of 5 stars for this resort.

A lovely resort on the quieter side with excellent staff, friendly and attentive. We felt welcome and safe, enjoyed the beautiful beach and pool with swim up bar. The restaurants were good, the lunch and breakfast buffets were just alright. They offered activities such as giant chess, water aerobics, ping pong, pickle ball, tennis, kayaking, etc. We booked an excusrion onsite which was also great! If you are looking for an all inclusive but not looking to rage/party hard and late, this is the perfect spot. I would return!

I was visiting from Guatemala, service people were rude with me and my family We were treated different than other people specially whites (gringos or europeans) I still don`t understand because my money has the same value than stupid gringos, I wouldn't recommend this place to no-one. (on top of that phone in room and air conditioner and tv wasn't working and they call luxury resort?

The staff was nice. The property is dated. The bathroom had mold and the air conditioning didn’t work for 1 night.

Everything was perfect minus checking in. The room was not ready at 3pm.. waited an extra 40 minutes and ended up taking a different room in a high floor with my elderly mother (no elevators). The ATM never worked ( out of order). The entertainment wasn’t that great. One of the nights the band did not show up, but the entertainment girls made fun. The best thing about the place is the beach, breathtaking.

Only complaint is the food was always cold in the buffet area

IT ALL STARTED AT CHECK IN... When my husband and i checked in we asked about the romantic dinner on the beach . They guy who checked us in said that they did not offer the romantic dinner (even though I've seen it on the website and spoke to someone prior about booking this dinner). After, He shared that we could pay $250 and get access to premium (top shelf) alchol our entire stay and access to all vip amenities. We later found out there was no premuim alchol anywhere on site or "vip" amenities. When we asked about it, everyone who worked there laughed. When we arrived to our room, there were no washcloths in sight. I called the front desk, they shared that they would bring them, never did. Called the next morning. Still no washcloths. Then finally bought face towels and shared that they did not have any washcloths. We ended up receiving some washcloths on our last day! When i asked to speak with a manager. They kept telling us no manager was there and acted as if they didn't understand. The bath tub was dirty with dead bugs in it (it looked as if someone killed them, but didn't bother to clean them up)the drain didn't work either. I asked if they could they fix the drain and clean the bathtub and they said they would, never did. Gave us incorrect prices for the spa, dinner. Overcharged for many things. These people are some crooks. For the amount of money we paid, we were expecting more....WOULD NOT RECCOMEND!!!!

Nice resort, but showing a little age. You Food was good and it was good to be able to also enjoy the sister resorts next door.

The food was not very good. It sat out for hours at the buffet and wasn't refreshed. The menu was limited and the service was slow.

It was a great place to stay

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here, the property itself is gorgeous and surrounded by lush greenery and palm trees. This is a calm vacay vibe not the typical party life you hear about in Punta Cana which is exactly what we wanted. Service and staff are great, food was great too & their desserts omg for Dominican food night they had tres leches, fresh mangoes and this chocolate cake that was my favorite. The Italian restaurant was also pretty good the buffet food. Overall would 10/10 recommend and come back. Just wish the TV was better quality and had better service in the room & the room should be updated more.

Nice place. For good but not exceptional. Communication with staff is difficult if you don’t speak Spanish however the front desk is very helpful.

Staff were super friendly and helpful throughout the resort. The property grounds are beautiful and maintained very well, including the pool and beach area. The rooms were maybe a little dated and quirky—I had no real complaints, and others I was traveling with had minor issues with their room that were quickly resolved by the staff. The food varied—none of it was bad, most was very good, and a few things were truly excellent. We had to experiment a little to find our favorite options. Food quality was a little inconsistent—for example, at the steakhouse (which overall was a great meal), my family and I all ordered the same cut of meat. Mine was outstanding, but theirs was not as nice of a cut. The main things to do on the property are go to the pool and beach, though they had some other activities, parties at night, etc. We went for three nights which was about right. Overall, I would definitely recommend the place, as long as you are a little flexible about trying something different if one thing isn’t just perfect. (For example, if the restaurant you wanted is full, be prepared to try a different one or go back later. If you try the fish at the buffet and it’s not to your liking, just go back to the buffet and try the chicken, or vice versa.) We stayed at the resort the whole time; doing something off-site requires some prior planning to arrange transportation, etc., as the resort is basically self-contained.

Terrible, Stay Elsewhere.

Terrible. Room was infested with mosquitos and they sent someone in with a can of spray. Didn't have hot water twice. The day I arrived I found tons of dark black long hair in the shower and all along the bathroom floor (im blonde), and then there was no hot water for me to clean it. Had to have them in twice. Let housekeeping in on day two in the hopes that they'd clean up the shower and bathroom floor, they took dirty towels and didn't replace them with clean ones. They took the bath rug/towel and didn't replace it. Almost a total comedy of errors, it was just such a bad experience. Was there for 5 days, would normally get home to weight gain... Food was so terrible I lived on rice and came home 4lbs smaller. Some of the staff were amazing (calling out Miguel for being a total angel), but more of staff were really really rude. Literally absolutely terrible. What should have been an amazing quick getaway was a trip I am happy to not be on anymore.

Overall the property was nice. However it took hours to get our room ready even though we booked weeks earlier. And our room had some maintenance problems that should have been fixed before being occupied.

Staff service is a big opportunity, cleanliness is a big opportunity on restaurant (buffet specially), treat between staff is rude, room never cleaned well, lack of urgency and good treatment to guests, staff is not focus on offering good service (no smile, no greeting, no offering services); toilet in room was damaged (informed on our second day and never fixed, asked three times for extra pillows (waited until the last night to get them. Staff on BARS, they do not prepare drinks well (specially women). Very disappointed, I do not recommend this hotel at all.

For the price could not beat it!

Great resort and customer service. Please note that this resort is mostly 55 and very quiet. They should have more activities for the guests. However the restaurants are amazing. The best thing about this hotel is that shares the access and amenities with their sister hotel next door “ Caribe Deluxe”. I strongly suggest to stay at this hotel instead. It’s beautiful, bigger and modern. It’s a family hotel so you will see kids.

It's unfortunate I have to write this review, but this was definitely the worst resort I have stayed at in the Dominican. This was in no way shape or form anthing near a 5 star. Accommodation - was horrendous. The AC did not work during the entire stay. I went back daily to the front desk, they would send up maintenance but it did not fix the problem. The last night they offered to move me in the evening but I was checking out the next morning and just too exhausted to move. Food - was limited and buffet was open air. Nothing looked or tasted fresh. I have had stomach problems since being back for the last 4 days. Service - no one could help me with any of my concerns or fix the AC in the room. The Service Manager did not offer any service or help in any way. I waited daily to speak to someone and still nothing was done. Hotel - the grounds had numerous pot holes and was a very unpleasant Uber ride to the establishment. This place is super old and there are no elevators. You have to lug your suitcases everywhere. I have been back since Thursday and waited till today to ensure I was not writing the review until I had time to really come to terms with my experience. I wouldn't go back if my next stay was comped. Stay anywhere else but here.

The first two nights the air conditioning was not working in our room. We complained 5 times each day until we were finally moved to different room. Each time they told us maintenance would come and nothing ever helped. The room temperature was 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Unbearable after spending the day in the sun. The room was worn down and not cleaned well. Only our second room got stocked daily. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. The staff at dining experiences were friendly and always available. The food was good, besides the "24 hour snack bar". This was ONLY coffee and tea - nothing edible! I felt like our first two days were not relaxing as we were trying to get our room fixed. Our initial room was not ready when we got there at 4 PM (check in at 3...) It was still relaxing and fun vacation. Beach dance was fun! Foam party awesome!

I love my time in the Resort!

We had a grreat experience at the hotel, beautiful beach, big rooms, swimming pool was large. Gardens were well maintained.We enjoyed the buffet and friendly staff. We liked the parties near the beach. However, Food at the buffets could be better handle- away from flies- in a closed display, with better refrigeration. Alcoholic beverages can be improve in taste and alcohol quality. I recommend this location to those who want to relax, and low maintenance.

Small Resort with beautiful pool and beautiful beach

Fun time at Princess! Love the food options! No reservations needed!!! Sand is gorgeous! Activities fun! Swim up pool!! We walked to the other princess hotels and saw flamingo, iguanas, turtles! Staff is great!

This resort is small and quaint. It was, for me, the perfect blend of relaxation and fun. The staff is absolutely incredible! Everyone was so kind and helpful. The entertainment team does an amazing job and they are lots of fun. The beach is gorgeous and well maintained and the property grounds are beautiful. I didn't love the food at the buffet but the a la carte restaurants were fantastic with incredible service and the fondue restaurant was a new fun experience. I would definitely come back to this resort.

This property is far from a five star hotel. Staff was not as friendly to Spanish speaking guests as they were to guests speaking in other languages. My guess is they assumed we were locals and would not spend as much. The staff at checkin left out major details such as reservations for their partner hotel being needed 24 hours in advance and that restaurants on the property were only open during specific days so they got full quickly as restaurants are very small. Beach towels would run out and guests would claim beach and pool chairs by leaving towels on them all day, making it impossible to get a spot even though the chairs were unoccupied for most of the day. There was no hot water in the hot tub in the room and neither the room phone nor the clothing iron worked. We were left without pillow covers on the bed and the comforter had questionable stains. When the pillow covers were provided they were left outside on the doorknob. Food was mediocre and when asked for something else was shamed by employee for not liking what was given. Drinks are very very watered down. The same music playlist is played at the pool every day and by day 2 of my stay I could tell you what song was coming next. We were haggled at every corner to purchase excursions every time we walked to the lobby during the day and by the pool in the mornings and they were very pushy. Overall was left very disappointed and would not recommend.

Love this resort, first time visit. Adults only is the way to go! Great beach, loved the entertainment team! Food was ok- cold at times. Seafood restaurant was my favorite.

Beautiful hotel and nice Services

Angel at the front desk was AMAZING!!!! Room wasn’t available at check in as they were still cleaning. Had an issue with the hot water the first two nights and the sink leaking but overall had a good experience. The staff at the buffet were phenomenal. We loved Felix, Luis, and Yeico at the bar. We would stay again in the future

The check in and check process was so quick and easy and the lovely young lady was so sweet. (Don’t remember her name but she has braces). The hotel itself was clean (pool was somewhat dirty) and the grounds were well maintained. I did have trouble with my key card the whole stay. The buffet was awful…same food recycled every night with the rice and salads. Once the staff knew that it was just me, they would clear the rest of the table right while I was sitting and eating without a word. Not friendly at all. Housekeeping was amazing and my room was always clean. The steakhouse and Italian restaurants were very good. Agipito at the pool made my whole stay. He took the time to get to know me and what I liked for drinks and was right there all the time! He greeted me every morning with a smile and a hug or fist bump. The beach was beautiful and I enjoyed walking it. It was too rough for me to swim as I have a rotator cuff injury and it was pretty choppy out there. Overall, a good vacation!

This place is a dump! It is advertised on Expedia as a 5 star resort but it should be a 2-3 star max. The rooms are disgusting. Neon lighting, dirty sheets, horrible mattress, the shower is full of mold.

Amazing staff and beautiful surroundings

First time there and i didn't like it, the service was very bad, the phone wasnt working, the ac wasn't working, 2x they have to open the door, because the battery was dead for the door look, they cleaned the room and they didn't leave towels or fllor carpet for the ba, we have to walked to the lobby everytime we have issues, because we didn't have a phone in the room that work. We very disappointed at the whole experience 😔 .

We stayed at the adults only. They advertised multiple restaurants available when they only had 2 open and 1 buffet. You can have access to the other hotel’s restaurants with reservation which we did but we missed them because the train that connects to the other properties never came. We were there for only 4 night and on night 2 we became really bored. During the day the beach was fantastic, the poolside entertainment was fun and the bars were stocked. There was a beach party which we liked, but other than that we had to rely on the train and it was very unreliable. property doesn’t have trails to connect the adults to the rest of the resort. Buffet was poor compare to the other properties, also we had an 8am call from the time share people. If we come back. I don’t think we will be coming back to the adults only.

We had a wonderful stay here. The resort is beautiful and very clean, staff are friendly and very helpful. Beach was amazing, the water and views are stunning, soft white sand. Food was average for a resort, so no complaints there. The only negatives would be that the bed was extremely firm, which may be okay for some, but was very uncomfortable for us. And the road coming in to the resort was in horrible condition with massive potholes. This is a shared road with other facilities and resorts, but something needs to be done about that road. Overall though, highly recommend.

This only adults resort is the perfect place for having a relax vacation, they have variety in restaurants, great food, great beach area and the option of visit their others resorts with free transportation. I would visit again for sure

Beautiful beach, relaxing, easy to walk, very calm resort and if you relaxation things the place to go, wifi could be better and rooms could be updated but if your on your phone and in room all day you shouldn’t be on vacation!! Would go back

Had an amazing time at this resort. I traveled solo but felt safe the entire time. The breakfast buffet was good, dinner buffet was ok, the food in other restaurants were better. The drinks were strong and the staff was amazing.

The room itself was not good.... And it was a suite

Many items in room were broken (key card battery to room door, fan, electrical switches). Staff was rude, food was not good, and restaurant staff stole my wallet out of my purse. Guest services "could not help us because we booked through expedia," even though they made us pay them directly upon check in for the full amount. When requesting a partial refund upon early check out, I was told there was nothing they could do. No help was provided, and managers did not help.

Once you got onto the property it was very nice. But the roads getting to the resort off the main highway were very dirty.

I bought a vip, No one asked me if I wanted a drink. The excursion we paid for took off on us because our names wasnt on the list, So when I got the recipt to lrove the driver took off. Had to fight to get my money back, and no comp. No hair dryer or ice in my room. Paid for a shuttle to the airport but had to pay for a taxi. This place does not let you relax. Also had no running water. I was decived. Also had to argue for top shef even though that is in the VIP. Yall suck.

The staff is what makes this place bearable. The property is in need of remodeling and updating...in the area seems to be the most outdated resort I've been so far.

Our room flooded on the lower level from excessive rain during our last night of our stay. We advised guest services around 730am. By the time we returned to our room to pack and head to our 450pm flight, the water still remained on the floor untouched.

We enjoyed our stay at this facility. It is in the middle of a long stretch of beautiful beach, well maintained and has the tight amount/size of guests. People (hotel staffs and guests) are all very nice, and the food is good too. The guest room is clean, but it could use newer linen (e.g., sheets, towels).

The dining is good. But we got the power outage once, water outage once and room flooding during five nights. The room phone was never working even after reporting the issue twice.

The beach was beautiful, everything was good until I had to leave early for an emergency and waiting to see if they will work with me and reimburse me atleast half of what I paid for my stay. Then I would surely promote it and go back for another visit.

I travel extensively to Mexico but thought I would try and compare the DR this time. When I first arrived I had to wait almost an hour after check in time which is 3pm to get my room. My room given was 2 twin beds, TV didnt work, phone didnt work, coffee machine extremely dirty. I was given a new room on 2nd day which was much nicer and actually resembled what is advertised and I paid for. But when getting the room change even though they told me to come at 3pm I again had to wait another hour before getting the new key. Resort was not packed so not sure why such delays. The positives here is its not to big, no reservations required, nice beach area. Also the vibe is very chill and more laid back. The negatives are the quality of the food which is not great at all even for all inclusive. Rio Grande restaurant is the only decent one but they must have a limit on # of people they serve each night because they will tell you its an hour wait when getting closer to 8pm even though restaurant has become less busy. Also the alcohol selection is poor in comparison to what you get in other all inclusive. Also no beach service and getting food throughout the day is very limited in comparison to other all inclusive. There is more but overall if you are on the West Coast and thinking if its worth the longer flight I would say definitely no and stay with Mexico all inclusive or Hawaii as a 3 star all inclusive in Cabo is equivalent to 5 star in DR.

I paid for a full suite They inform me at check in I had to pay an additional $1,250.00 For NOTHING Jacuzzi didn’t work no pressure bathroom had to be fixed three times the toilet didn’t work. They never cleaned the room on time. There was no use of other facilities like they said paid for VIP status never got it third time there not wish to return They basically tell you everything is included and it is not I paid &350 a night for 10 nights They skid my lobster dinner They told us true sister hotel gone red our vip status All of not true

The restaurants were amazing! Cleaning staff were attentive and the rooms were spotless. Great service all around. Breakfast was the only thing that I feel was substandard: bacon was not served every day, the sausages were not great, the eggs runny, and no cereal. Coffee not refilled quickly enough.

The hotel grounds were wonderful and small, so it was a fast walk between lobby, buffet, pool and beach. Breakfast was amazing, lunch and dinner terrible. The staff at the lobby were good. Some waiters were awful; they wouldn’t even look at you if you don’t speak english, because they think you won’t leave them tips. I felt discriminated because of this. Service should be equal to everyone.

Returning customers for 5th time for a 10 day trip, unfortunately we had issues with our room: toilet not working, tv remote not working (these were fixed the 1st day), phone not working the 1st day and after 10 days still not working (issue reported every day of our stay). This meant every time we had a small problem we had to walk to reception all the time (highly frustrating with a bad knee). The food was excellent, but it was cold at the buffet wether it was lunch or supper did not matter. I also wish to give a special mention to Carlos at the buffet restaurant who looked after us and our family for the duration of our holiday.

Just returned from a week stay at the Punta Cana Princess. We are in love! Staff was great and beach was awesome! We found our new home away from home and will be back next year!

Very nice resort. Not too big. Not too small. Very comfortable. Very well managed. Nice friendly staff. Food was good, room was perfect, service was excellent. This is second time we use this resort and we may come back again in the future.

The property was excellent

We LOVE Punta Cana Princess. We feel warmly welcomed every time we arrive. Staff is wonderful. This is a small adult resort and just perfect for us. We find the foods offered to be varied and delicious. Great beach - suffering a bit from rising ocean but the staff works hard to make it all work well.

Hotel super tranquilo y seguro pero le falta mantenimiento el aire de las habitaciónes NO funcionan . Varias veces hable para que verificaran y nada desde que llegue le informe que por favor una habitacion con buen aire por mi condicion de salud. Es lamentable por que sus empleados super amables y los lugares de comida son accesibles . El clima es caliente y uno desea al llegar a la habitaciòn descansar y no se puede por que los aires no enfrian y el area de la picina necesita mantenimiento rush.

We like the resorts, but when we got there the room had some problems and we reported a few times, before they do anything, also was anniversary and they know! Next day I spoke to Miguel at the front desk and hi make something nice by sending some fruits and champagne to the room, room air conditioning needs some repairs and bathrooms.
