Very helpful staff. Great breakfast selection. Good value hotel. Rooms could use a little upgrading but it has the essentials in place. Swimming pool decking needs fixing. Overall we had a nice. comfortable and enjoyable stay there.
Not meet standard and expectations
*Room very dark and dull* bathroom flush not working * shower appearance moldy * Bathroom towels are very old * Shower door is not close properly. Water came off all over floor* O'clock in the room is not working * Lavabove sink water came off all over everytime in use * Breakfast not enough viarities of Food.* Carpet appears very old with dark blue color * Light bulb in the room very low , make the room very DARK ! * Manager just hear the complain but seemed he might not do anything. Out of his territory ? Or nothing he can do !
Will not comeback
Very good service, but the room was poor, bathroom not clean, shampoo dispensers not working, the room itself the same, room service didn't have a menu, you need to call to ask for a pricewould not expect from 5 star
Excellent stay
Nice facilities and courteous staff, which was very helpful.
A pleasant place to spend a couple days
Great
Had just 1 night at the pullman this was my 2nd stay here. Note to travellers, get the reception to get your taxi to the airport it will save you a much money as the Hanoi taxis rip foreigners off.
Nice luxurious hotel. Staffs are very helpful and professional. Breakfast is more towards continental, will be good to have more local options.
We stayed at the Pullman for a week, and it was the best experience and value in Vietnam. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were big and clean, and we had our laundry cleaned at very reasonable rates. We had a dedicated breakfast table and the servers knew our drinks. The pool was nice, the gym was huge, and the whirlpool was great. We also played tennis on the grounds. The location was close enough to walk to old quarter for us (~1 mile). Highly recommend the Pullman!
Old property, not maintained well, AC plant unable to take load, hot rooms, property didnt upgrade to new convenient features.
The staff were really accommodating and very friendly. The first room we were taken to had two lights that were not working, and the room was already very dark. Without hesitation, we were offered an upgrade to a larger room but was still very dark, but we took that regardless. We stayed for 9 nights and changed rooms twice. The toilets were constantly blocked and water from the sink did not drain. Because the staff were so nice we actually felt bad complaining. Eventually, the blockage issues got out of hand so we were offered another room change. I would not recommend staying because of the very dated rooms. The were so dated it prompted me to ask how old the building was. Staff is A , professional and just good people.
wifi was weak, breakfast was bad
Located near old quarter attraction sites within 30-min walking radius. Room are clean and comfortable. They only open a single wing right now due to renovation. The walking corridor is a bit hot but not a big issue. Swimming pool is a bit dated but it is fine. Walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Breakfast is nice with good selection. For dinner, their usual restaurant is not open, so either you order room service or you can have it at the bar in lobby. But the food is not too good, so for lunch and dinner it is better to eat out.
Average business hotel
Standard business hotel. Room condition is rather dated. Prompt service otherwise. Expect better experience for this price tag. Breakfast is decent. Nothing to rave about.
Happy traveller
Location was not so convenient if you are travelling for holiday. But no biggie as Grab is extememly affordable to get around to the old quarter. Staff was extememly helpful, shout out to Gong!! Hotel seems abit old but rooms are clean enough. Overall experience was a 4/5
Sevice beyond norm
Early check in provided without even ask for it and room was rewdy the moment i stepped into the hotel. Staff are excellent and they pay attention in detail. Rooms are comfy and perfect for a uninterrupted rest. Late check out offered to sum up my trip. Certainly a hitel you can trust and peaceful stay.
Not the best Pullman I have stayed
Cockroach in the room. Bathtub as shower not really up to date.
Dirty, old, outdated. Bugs (bed bugs maybe?) Breakfast however was good and the staff in the restaurant were lovely
Shabby, bathroom floor looked unclean. First room had wet carpet outside bathroom. Staff efficiently changed my room though.
First time with Pullman
The hotel building is really old. We swap room after the first night. The hallway is really old and smelly. We waited more than 20min at concierge to check out without any response even though giving reminder that we need to leave for airport. We ended up left the hotel without checking out to catch our flight.
Worst hotel ever
Bad sales manager attitude. Worst 5* hotel with ridiculous business procedures as hotel will never support customers without charging additional money.
It takes forever for checking in, until I had to remind them that I was tired and my trip was long.
Friendly staff
Service is good, foods are good and the room is nice. The only worse place is the bathroom, the bathtub is too high and without any handrail, it is difficult to climb in and out, it’s also very dangerous, special for after bath. It is because they didn’t have shower curtain, the shower water was gone outside and made the carpet and floor wet . Hope it can be improve.
I liked It overall but I thought the pool area would be bigger than the actual one.
The Pullman Hotel: A great choice
The Pullman is a great hotel. It's got everything you need: a great pool, a solid gym, great service, and a wonderful buffet restaurant. It's also approximately 20 minutes from many of Hanoi's top attractions.
Not a Pullman standard
Room cleanliness was well below average Pullman standard. Looks like bad maintenance, ceiling was covered by dust and net. Breakfast has nothing to compare to other branded hotel. No choice for food or even 7-11 in the local area.
Generally, this hotel is quite nice except there's renovation works being done on the premise when checking in. That made it slightly uncomfortable! Only one restaurant for all meals in such a huge hotel seems inconceivable! And the staff at the bar on the first floor need to be more polite & more efficient, I waited quite a long time for drinks & the waiter was rude to say the least. Other than that, I like this hotel & will come back again.
The bed had a spring sticking up on the mattress - This I told the front desk late at night and nothing was done. The shower - it took me 10 minutes to get the lever to come down for the shower to work; it was stuck.
Staff were so so great! Always happy to help and accommodating! Thank you all so much for making our stay so great!
Convenience location, easy access to business area and for tourist points. Well trained staff providing the best services comparing with others.
Friendly staff. However, the room we got wasn't spacious and the furniture was old. Didn't feel as much comfort as we should. The hotel was huge overall.
It was a nice.
Good stay
One of the best hotels for its staff and service
The first day was bad, but the service is really good as the staff and the manager - Mr. Tung took quick action to resolve the problem and made sure that I was confortable. I would recommend to stay here purely because of the service.
staffs in restaurant breast fast area are kind of busy moving table here and there, and it causes inconvenience to all the guests, in fact they should move the table after the breakfast time is over
Hotel in the city centre
Though I stayed here for two nights only. Check in procedure was pretty quick and smooth. Room was fine, had issues with air conditioning which was fixed. Don’t expect to use a pedestal fan at Pullman. The hotel has to rediscover itself and they must maintain the physical resources. Hotel had a distinct smell, either due to moisture or something else.
Excellent service from staff - concierge, check-in, check-out, housekeeping and spa. Very helpful and concerned about maximizing my stay. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options.
Not a pleasant stay
Dated hotel but still in good conditions. Room service could not provide the wine selection as per menu offered, at least three wines wasn't available. Breakfast very disappointing, knowing Pullman standards, but the worst was the arrogant staff during breakfast including the managers and chefs. All in all I wasn't feel welcome in this hotel and this is all about in our industry. I won't return if not invited from your side to prove you've change this issues. Hope my honest critic will help you and you'll improve the services. For more details you can ask for my telephone number or email address.
Hotel is old
Efficient
Good hotel - efficient fluent in english staff
Buy 1 get 1 free Hoegaarden beer hotel
Very comfortable and clean hotel. Really love it that they sell Hoegaarden beer, 2 for the price of 1!
Poor standard and service for Pullman
I stayed here 3 nights, and choose this hotel based on the room, bar and spa as priorities over the location, a bit away from the cozy part of city. The hotel does not resemble a 4.5 star hotel, or the Pullmann brand, instead look after those in Hanoi Old Quarter, better standards and location. The pictures does not reflect reality. The hotel is very old and just refurbished in main lobby area. Rooms: Old, and refurbished. My room did not represent the pictures, it smelled and they had placed an odor cup. I asked for an upgrade. After long explanation I finally got an executive room. This was not any better, bathroom shower heads and sink were clogged so water splashed to your clothes, and I found long hairs in my bed. Cleaning was so sloppy at all times. Pool and 'spa' area: Very old facilities, I got so disappointed. Do not expect a spa, they should not be allowed to call it a spa, there were water damages, it was dirty and outdated. Personnel and reception: was very unaccommodating, arrogant and did not apologize for anything, but went into arguments. It was very unprofessional and unclear who was in charge of the team. I asked for a reduction in the total bill, and after long discussion got a taxi to the airport, I really had to push for that. The hotel ambiance: bar area is empty every evening, spa and pool with no people, location away from city. I have written to the General Manager, but he did not come back to me yet.
Good place to stay.
Very good place, we liked morning breakfast. Little bit far from old quarter but we needed to be away from all that busy street.
My third choice of stay
The cleanliness and service can improve. I usually stay either at Lotte or Daewoo but decided to give this place a chance. Though it's newer than Daewoo, I have to say the service and cleanliness is better at Daewoo. Also, there really is NOTHING to do around the area so be aware. Lastly, I order room service and the food was terrible. It was one of the worst sandwiches I had in my life and for the price I paid, it should have been better. I've alway had good experiences with food in Vietnam so this was very shocking for me.
Nice looking hotel, room, and services
Nice looking hotel, the room and the services are great. Thank you.
Nice hotel/good value
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Really like the F&B concept. Rooms are a bit old and will likely need a full refurbishment in the not too distant future. Pool was a bit dirty.
Would definately stay at Pullman , Hanoi again.
My experience at Pullman has been exceptional to say the least. Very friendly , accomodating and helpful. Everyone there went above and beyond to be of assistance 24/7. Highly recommend the Pullman , Hanoi.
clean room and kind staffs
The room is very clean and quiet. The staffs are friendly and kind to let me know everything that I needed. I would like to return next time.
Pullman Hanoi
Room was clean and well maintained, Wi-Fi was excellent, Staff were friendly and helpful. Good experience
Pullman Hanoi - It's pretty cool
All in all it was great place to put up. Good sized room with necessary comfort and work place. Food spread was great, but could improve with placing it on food warmers (eg. baked beans were cold, bao (meat buns) were soggy at the bottom, etc.) - also would serve as bacteria build-up prevention. Would it be possible to include more English and Mandarin movie channels (pay-per-view is okay).
Hanoi
A great location, close to everything. Staff were wonderful. Great pool facilities.
Nice hotel Friendly staff Good location for business not so good for tourists as tours generally depart from the old quarter
So So , for the price
Refurbishment works ongoing with dusts and noise. Standard rooms are getting old. Air conditionning is overperforming with not much flexibility to set up the temperature.
Nice large hotel very good staff
Restaurant wsd good
Decent stay
Stay was not too bad! They can still improve.
Comfortable
Great rooms and good service, only let down by a not bad but underwhelming menu
This hotel is old building and I wouldn't stay here next time.
HEasd to the old quarter - not much going on outside the hotel.
Great Hotel!
This was a wonderful hotel for the price! I would only wish it were in a more touristy neighborhood; but everything else about it was wonderful.
Duncan Howarth review.
I have stayed in this property when it was the Horizon Hotel. The Main Lobby and some of the Public Areas have all been upgraded, the rooms have only have a soft make over, painting the old furniture white does not create a modern room. The bathroom is exactly as I recall it from 10 years ago, the fittings are very tired. The idea of the double size pillow is fine for lounging in or on the bed but impractical to sleep with, and the single pillow is simply too thick. As someone who likes a thin pillow I had to sleep without a pillow as neither pillow in the room allowed me to be comfortable when sleeping.
overall hotel is good but in the evening restaurant closed so quick
Excellent Service
The staff at the Pullman Hanoi was exceptional. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is in horrible condition
The hotel is 20+ years old and shows its age, the bathroom ceiling collapsed and almost hit my wife, the bathtub handle pulled out of the wall, the pool is not heated, the carpet smells, the tile grout is falling apart, everything is dirty and in need of replacement.......need I go on? The staff is aloof other than Ms. Mai Bui in the restaurant and one gal in the lobby. They still allow smoking in the hotel and the entire lobby smells like smoke and I fund a hair in my food. Our daughter was scared to go into the bathroom alone. Price should be about 40% lower based on condition and disengaged staff.
Good for business.
Good place to stay for work. Staff is very friendly and eager to help. The English skills of the front desk could have been stronger (especially since other staff in other areas had stronger language skills). Just a comment since it seems that is the most important area to have your strongest foreign language speakers. The food/restaurant doesn't have a wide selection and was mediocre if you have to stay there for more than a few days. The swarms of tourist buses overwhelm the morning breakfast but I've found that at other hotels in Hanoi. Overall a good stay.
Good pleasant hotel.
Courteous and helpful staff from the concierge, reception, room service and all others. Made your stay very pleasant.
Nice hotel, nice staff- will return.
Very respectful and helpful staff. Pleasant hotel for a work trip.
Nice hotel
Nice hotel only that the internet is quite slow...
Relaxing hotel
A very relaxing hotel. Easy to get taxis to anywhere in Hanoi. Staff generally are very helpful and super at handling requests and providing information.
A great place to stay in Hanoi
A well maintained and well equipped hotel with attention to good service and super-comfy beds. Gym in particular was big with lots of machines and free weights and excellent facilities.
Could do better or charge less
I was very excited to visit Ha Noi, after visiting Saigon for so many years. Unfortunately, the hotel I stayed at did not justify the price. Most of the staff seemed quite poorly trained in customer communication for a hotel of such a price. The lobby was well designed however the rooms were out dated and quite basic. The menu was also quite limited. The only thing I would say was that the gym was well appointed.
All staff were extremely friendly, and very pleasant - so nice to see in all areas of the hotel.
Excellent Services
Nice hotel, good location, staffs could not say more Excellent. Especially Ngoc at the Reception Counter, and Nhung at Executive Lounge. They have tried to serve you at their best. We booked first night at Executive Room and 3 nights at Deluxe Room, due to not many travellers at this time of the year so Ngoc upgraded us to Executive Room for the last three nights. Thank you so much...we had a good trip in Ha Noi.
Great Hotel
Great hotel, very helpful staff, could not find a fault with this hotel. Very enjoyable stay, highly recommend.
Great hotel
Great hotel to stay. Very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful.
top quality hotel
clean, modern hotel. friendly, helpful staff, good food, all you would expect from a 5 star hotel. It however not in the center of things and there is not much within walking distance. However taxis are cheap and so you can get one to the old part of town for about $3.
Holiday trip
I really enjoyed stay in this hotel. Excellent service!!
Good Hotel with Reasonable Rate
This trip I stayed for 2 nights and just like going back home and meet family and friends as usual.
Good for biz trip
It was good hotel inly for biz trip. I don't want to say bad for trip but hotel location pretty heavy jam.
Truely International Hotel
Pullman lives up to its global standard unlike some hotels set up in Vietnam which set themselves as 4-5 stars but the rating maybe self praising!
Nothing special
As we traveled through Vietnam, Hanoi was one of our destinations and we wished we would have done some research before booking this hotel as there was a congress going on in the city during our stay and some delegations were staying over in this hotel with result that every time you entered you needed to put your bags in a x-ray machine and walk through a metal detector. It was very annoying and not the best welcome you expect as nobody from the security did speak proper English and just showed me what to do which I didn't like too much. Nevertheless the reception manager apologized directly and explained what was going on, it would have been better if this happened before I needed to receive attitude from a security guard. We had an executive suite and had access to the Pullman Lounge, which is nothing special, a large room with some tables and a bar table where they place some finger food, drinks and fruit. A business lounge in certain US Airports even looks better and has more atmosphere than this lounge, we didn't spend a single moment here, for breakfast we went downstairs (even it is very busy during breakfast). Food quality was good, you are happy with a western corner after a week of noodles. Rooms were comfortable, the bathroom isn't anything special, large but nothing special. Would I stay here again, to be honest, I don't know as I wasn't very impressed.
Nice hotel
The Pullman is rated a 5 star hotel and certainly for Hanoi it has a 5 star setting in spacious grounds. The public areas too are extensive and very modern. Our room on the second floor opened out onto the pool deck (not much of a bonus in December but nice in the summer I would think) and the room itself was clean and apparently recently refurbished. However the bathroom looked as if it had been overlooked with rather dated finishes, a shower head fixture set well above the glass screen so water sprayed out when using the shower and very old fashioned taps and fittings. However this did not detract from the overall quality of the stay. The buffet breakfast was extensive and service both in the restaurant and all areas was excellent. There is free and speedy wifi in all areas of the hotel and the room tv offers some 50 channels.
Great Experiences
Greeted by pleasant and smart attire staffs and given a glass of juice and hot towel at the lobby started the journey of happiness. The check-in process is smooth with well explain from knowledgeable and patient staffs. As the check in time is not up yet and the room is not ready, the check-in staff provided the wifi password and directs me to the lobby sofa and bar location The staff has also offer to keep the luggage (except valuable stuff) and recommend venturing outside so I will not be bored while the cleaner expedite the preparation of the room. It will be wonderful if the front office comes with safebox that can safe keep valuable for customer in this case. The staff has also recommended signing up for hotel membership card to benefit from the perks. Eventually the room is ready much earlier than expected. The room is clean, bright and nice (City view & King size bed). The wifi is working fine in the room and the restroom comes with rain shower system but no bathtub which I personally think is sufficient. After settled down, I decided to venture out of hotel to familiarize the surrounding. I asked for iron board and was delivered before I’m back to the room couple of hours later. The staffs are always seen with a happy smile and approachable. I have no problem in getting a taxi, getting the staffs to inform the taxi driver where I’m going and breaking smaller or changing bigger Vietnam dong from the front office. The hotel location is nearby to ol
Great hotel with just outside the city!
This hotel is a great pick! Outside doesn't look like much but as you step into the hotel the little things are what count and the room seems like you are staying in a luxury hotel. Added bonus there is a pool - hard to find in Hanoi hotels and with the heat all year round this is something you definitely need. This is a great place to stay and be sure to ask the guys that open the doors at the front for suggestions where to eat at night. We asked one person - Henry and he was nothing but a great help and placed us in a taxi and sent us to a place where we had the best meal of our entire trip! Pleasure to stay here and will return anytime.
Business hotel
Was there for work. All is good for business traveller. For touristy night spots, just hail a cab and it is convenient. It is away from the bustle of the city although not too far off by a cab right. Good hotel.
Great business hotel
Was there for business and the hotel if very comfortable. The food and service is good too. The neighbourhood is bit far off from the touristy areas, which I was made known earlier but because I am there for work, it doesnt really matter. Infact, by taking a cab ride, I am able to reach Old Quarters or some of the touristy spots easily. Overall it is a nice hotel to stay in and far away from the bustle of the main area.
Great location close to tourist attractions
I really enjoyed my stay, staff were very helpful. In room dining a little expensive. Overall great experience. Would stay at the Pullman again.
good service
nice
Great Gym!
The pull and gym area are beautiful! This is great value for your money and an excellent choice for those who need to relax and unwind.
Really Nice Bed
Overall, I would rate this hotel positively. The location was not fantastic as it was away from the Old Quarters, but the hotel itself was pleasant enough. The one thing that I really appreciated was the comfort of the beds. I had several very good nights sleep. Otherwise, I would say it's a decent choice if you are looking for a large hotel in Hanoi.
Nice decor, good location for business
Hotel has been nicely renovated and put under the management of Accor group. Nice room, nice facilities, etc. It is conveniently located, maybe not as close to a lot of the tourist stuff, but I was traveling for business and the hotel was close to my company's office as well as for convenient for getting around to our customer base.
Recommend
Rooms are clean and comfortable, very good service staff. Not in good neighborhood, streets surrounded are dirty and crowded.
Good hotel
Very good
I had a problem with overcharging that was not resolved. The room ended up costing double what I had prepaid. Staff was pleasant enough and the hotel was comfortable enough, but I could. It recommend it and would not stay there again.
Facilities: Typical; Value: Reasonable; Service: Tardy; Cleanliness: blocked toilet; food service at resturant hpoeless and food very poor when served
Business Stay, Fantastic Service
I stayed at the Pullman for business, it was first visit to Hanoi. Service is great although I wasn't impressed by the standard of food.
Good service
I had an enjoyable stay
Comfortable stay
The hotel per se was good, with nice breakfast spread. The rooms were decent size and they upgraded me to a bigger room. The only problem I found was that it was far off from Hoan Kiem...used to take 30 mins to reach there. Else, its a decent hotel.
It was an excellent first at Ha noi as well as at pullman. Warm welcome with right courtesy.
Pullman Hanoi Hotel | Hotel in Hanoi | Travala.com
Lovely hotel a short taxi ride from the major attractions. Technically, it would be 10-15 walk, too, but sidewalks in the area are filled with parked scooters, plus traffic does not stop for pedestrians on the crosswalk, so walking is challenging. We got to enjoy the pool for one day, but it was closed for renovations on Christmas Day. Maybe check if it open If pool is important for you. Excellent buffet breakfast. Would stay again when they fix the pool.
