Our encounter with the staff especially the concierge and cleaning team was exceptional. Recommend as a choice for a business trip.
The place was and room was great. Disappointed that I paid $50 a night for secure parking and one night the car was left outside at the front of the hotel near the footpath that is not secure parking. very disappointed
The property needs renovation specially the bathrooms. The bathroom ceilings had a lot of mould and paint pealing. It wasn’t pleasant to shower. Valet parking staff should be available at all times and working to at least 12am. Came back one night and I had to park my own car as there were no staff to assist. Outside pool deck requires maintenance the pool was cloudy and drains were blocked. Other than the above it was a nice hotel to stay, conveniently located, quite and a lovely breakfast buffet.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
Hard to understand why this is a 5 star hotel. On plus side room was clean and relatively comfortable. Negatives were no modern amenities. (eg no coffee machine just instant coffee), no coat hangers in the room, an ironing board with a lean/bent leg (had to stabilise with one arm while iron), and dated bathroom. Outdoor pool nice idea (just 15 meters). I didn't try the food so cannot comment on that.
Ok
It was a very lovely stay for us. Enjoyed everything about the hotel
My family enjoyed our stay here. Breakfast was good, very convenient and close to shopping centers. The reason for the 4 star rating is because some of the rooms are not noise proof so we can hear doors slams or people making noises at night. Overall, great place for family holidays!
Unfortunately very dirty. Rooms are exceptionally un maintained - mould, dust, paint flaking… our balcony door handle literally fell off! Then we were stuck in the same room with a door that wouldn’t fully close or lock. Tried to raise concerns with management and website, still waiting. They advertise electric vehicle charging but then their charges software is locked to Tesla only. We had to call Tesla ourselves to work this out, then still no reply from management (apparently it’s a simple button click fix!). So very disappointing.
Great service and lovely staff
We like position, great twin beds, but find not having hard copy of hotel info difficult, not always easy to navigate scanning everything, found tv difficult to get free to air tv working without having to ask someone to come up to room. Miss room clock
We thought it was great .Fabulous sized room .The only problem we had was at the onsite Restaurant. There was 6 of us dining.unfortunately my mother ordered the lamb it was so tough she couldn't eat it.The waitress agreed with her as couldn't even push the fork in.She spoke to the Chef and it was dismissed .our other meals were great
Really enjoyed the hotel nice facilities, not quite what I had pictured for five stars, but enjoyed our day
We had someone enter our room at around 11pm who had been given our room to stay in also and we were in bed and to have this person themselves unknowingly enter was very unsetteling for both partys involved
Great staff, clean and tidy rooms, nice pool area.
Having a flash foyer and dingy old rooms with cobwebs on the windows (yes outside), doesn’t constitute any kind of luxury for me. It’s mutton done up as lamb, but it was cheap so … Check in staff were dithering so much I thought a gas canister had exploded moments before my arrival. Quite substandard
We had a 2 night stay. Our balcony room had a view over a smoking area that had cigarette smoke blowing in our room This area was filthy with broken furniture and broken flooring. There was a dirty plate with food on one of the tables for the entirety of our stay The outside common areas were generally not clean with very old and tired furniture. There were large cobwebs in these areas The room itself was clean. However one of the bathroom sink taps leaked as soon as you turned it on The toilet sistern ran all night on our second night There was significant noise in the hallway at around 6 in the morning with trolleys carrying glass was being pushed past our room for about 10-15 minutes Considering the cost to stay here we certainly would have expected way more We won’t stay here again Parking at $50/night is ridiculous We will be contacting the property with photos we took
Very disappointed
We were not impressed at all, first time staying at a 5 star, which was not what we got at all. We waited 20min after checking in at 2.15pm for a room key. We were not told anything about the hotel, where the lifts were, where to go for breakfast. When i asked what floor we were on told level 14, asked where the lift was and clerk pointed no instructions. The air conditioning did not work properly, the room smelt like smoke, shower was over the bath, meant to be sound proof, the room next to us were partying till 3am. We spent alot of money expecting a great experience, but were very disappointed. We get better service and experience from cheaper motels.
Excellent
Nice hotel
Uncomfortable
Not one to complain normally, however need to mention the rooms are very dated for the price and simple things like air conditioning not working efficiently in two rooms and constant water dripping in the bathroom made my stay very uncomfortable. Whilst I can appreciate the location I think there are far better options available.
Would vist again
A really well placed hotel, close to the heart of Brisbane. Amazing breakfast buffet.
The advertised arm chair/lounge in the room was missing. Stained carpet at the room entrance. The bathroom floods every time you have a shower. The aircond is freezing cold and the in-room control for aircond does not work. The restaurant! - Do not eat there! Food is over priced, not tasty, restaurant wait staffs are rude and arrogant (except a couple of them). Positive note is location. Definitely a 3 star hotel rating experience!
Enjoyed our stay, however we needed to ask for fluffier pillows. Staff were happy to accommodate.
Most things about the property were great. Staff were fantastic. We had to clean the windows as they were covered in hand marks and fingerprints. Some of the finer touches were off like the bottom of the bathroom door was shabby. But overall good value and would stay again
Good
Very good location near shopping and everything
No car park space Stuff today me if not happy get refund from Expedia Very poor service will not recommend it nor go there again
Great central location. Tired and old. NEVER order half board! Restaurant is diabolical
Convenient location for all Brisbane CBD has to offer
One night stay
A fair priced paid for the ok room .On the downside the room felt cold , couldn’t get any heating to work .The pillows are poor quality , otherwise it’s a good hotel for the money.
Beds were very uncomfortable
Busy driveway during check in time. Pool was very small and standard, dirty and uncovered. Nothing that stands out. No proper heat pump for cold nights. The lightning in the room and bathroom was terrible. Please take your own led light if you need to get ready for an event.
It was nice
The location was convenient and the staff were very helpful.
NA
Simple and easy
Proximity to pedestrian friendly city center and public well managed transportation.
I ordered a steak for in-the-room dining, which took 1.5 hours to arrive. The steak was cold; the chip was cold. During the waiting time, I tried to call reception to follow up 3,4 times, and then they blamed me for putting in the wrong room number, so the meal arrived late. It is an unbelievably pathetic excuse to blame the guess that they put the wrong room number for in-room dining when I had been calling to follow up 3 or 4 times for my meal! Make a complaint and no formal acknowledgement or apology. The room is old and smelly, the same as the hallway. Horrible experience with this hotel
Bit expensive to live. But parking was great with only $50 you can go in and out as many times a day. Property has a spider webs and all the roofs was dirty. If you asked them for an upgrade room they are not going to help you. Felt bit of racism there. Some staff members are really helpful and tell you everything they knows. Although it was convenient to go around the hotel. This is the second time I went there now I have decided not to go back there. I wouldn't recommend to go there, therefore it's a 2 star for me. Such a terrible experience.
We arrived early and the staff was happy to store our luggage while we walked around the area. They were going to call us when the room was ready but never did. There was only one (1) working outlet in the entire room. We attempted to call them for that but nobody answered the phone and after about 20 rings I gave up. Same when we tried to get a wake up call. Unprofessional to say the least. When speaking to the staff they were very friendly but out of site they were very unhelpful. I would not recommend this place to friends.
Great place to stay!
Tired and Old
The Pullman is old and it shows. Coupled with service that was not that good, unfortunately the whole experience is not amazing.
Interesting hotel. Took ages for check in. Charged $50 parking fee. Went to room, the hallway at 2pm was still full of breakfast trays. At 7pm I asked reception to move trays as the smell was too much. Bedding was fantastic. Towels were spit through and new ones needed. Buffet breakfast was poor. Bacon chewy, only scrambled egg available- choices extremely limited to basic hot and cold options and not reflective of the $30pp. Chopped fresh fruit had clearly been in and out of the fridge a few times. Of the hotel options in the city this hotel is now my least preferred.
Pullman Brisbane
It was excellent, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were on the 14th floor which was a bit uncomfortable for me, but that’s no fault of the hotel, it was amazing.
Great room, comfy bed,
Property wasn't 5 star , more 4 . The air conditioning struggled and breakfast was adequate.
Spacious rooms and friendly staff. However, the facilities like the laundry, corridors and bathrooms start showing the age of this hotel.
Air-conditioner didnt work at all...room was dated...
Excellent location and hotel. The only issue was that the roof top bar of the hotel was closed for renovations and this was not indicated or advertised. However there were plenty of other dining options in the vicinity. Would book again
We attempted to check in at 230pm and were told that our room had a strange smell so we would have to wait for it to be cleaned with an air purifier. We waited 40 minutes. We were in the room an hour when staff burst into the room saying they thought we had been moved to another room. We were there 2 nights but after the first night our room keycards no longer worked and had to be reactived.
The toilet seat was loose, one of the sheets had yellow spots. It was stylish and pretty in the common areas. The room itself was nothing special.
Prompt and courtesy staff. Delicious breakfast.
Good spot to stay, close to Brisbane nightlife
Conveniently located in the CBD, good for a short stay, the room was clean, the kids enjoyed the small swimming pool.
Trying to get ahold of reception was a hassle, when I was in the room
Everyone was super friendly room was great
Great customer service
Dated room with Air Con that couldn't get the temp down to a comfortable level.
Great Central location. Close to shops, dining options including onsite restaurant Valet parking and breakfast bit expensive .
Fabulous staff service. Even other guests were very helpful. Would lobe to see more accessibility improvements.
Good property in nice location.
Fine hotel, very much worth the price. In particular I appreciated the 24 hour staff.
Excellent location. Wonderful friendly service. Highly recommend.
Great location.morning staff at Goldfinch are a great way to start your day. Easily walkable to so many attractions.
Smelly towel and unavailable service
The building and front desk is luxurious but the room particularly the bathroom was not good. The towel was very thin, dark, and quite smelly. The room service is very bad. I tried for two hours trying to call to reach someone in the hotel but failed. There always missing supplies such as tea, coffee, or even soap. The body sope was empty for two days and I left the empty bottle there but it will remain empty.
A really lovely hotel. Clean, comfortable and an easy walk to all that Brisbane has to offer. Looking forward to returning again one day!
Air conditioning sounded like a freight train all night Checked me out after the first night took over 1 hour to sort out and room hadn’t bees cleaned took another two hours for that to happen. Shocking service
Other then no toaster or microwave in the room it was very nice
Staff were fantastic.
Air conditioning was stuck on cold, would not warm room so had to turn it off, but temperature outside the room on the floor felt like 10 degrees. Not very comfortable. TV was intermittently working but very old and welcome screen was burnt into the screen making for very poor picture. Overall I think the hotel needs some updating and upgrading. I wouldn’t call it value for money, overpriced for what you got. Bed was very comfortable and minibar stocked, but again - very overpriced items.
Amazing staff, room was mostly clean. Moved a bed to retrieve something that was dropped and under the bed was very dirty. Also shower fixtures in poor condition. Chas
Disappointing stay
Rooms are dated. When I walked into my room there was a used razor in the shower. No mini bar then half way through my stay one appeared. Housekeeping took my spare key from the room, same thing happened to my colleague on the same day. Service at Goldfinch is beyond slow. Staff are friendly but clearly inexperienced or poorly trained. You can’t go in for a quick drink or meal. We sat at the cafe a couple of times doing some work and would watch the chef call service and the food just sitting there and wait staff completely oblivious.
The location is great staff work at a very high standard Its high end expensive the condition of the room needed an update
Room was small and air con was stuffy and made me cough… Bathroom was small and cheap shower in bath tub not a 4.5 star resort … paint peeling in the bathroom ceiling No room in fridge.
Friendly staff, quiet area, room was very clean and serviced each day. Would stay there again.
We found the room very dated, the TV was that small we couldn't read what was on the screen, I had stayed there a few years before and it had deteriorated a lot since then!
Room amenities were not there. Water leaking toilet, too noisy aircon
The rooms are very basic and dated for the price paid. If was clean, and the staff were friendly. If is misleading that parking is in addition to room price - would suggest the valets state this to customers when they take the car as we thought it was all part of the room price service until we got hit with $50 per day parking in addition to the already high room price.
The hotel was fine but Expedia wasn’t good. I rang the hotel to confirm booking but they hadn’t received bookin from Expedia even though I had the confirmation from Expedia. The hotel said they would sort it. When we arruved still no booking from Expedia. They had to find us a room and luckily they had one. Won’t use Expedia again. Hotel was fine
Clean and comfortable, however, rooms lacked information about hotel facilities, paper and pens.
Good standard hotel
After waiting for half an hour to check in at 11pm. We were told there was no car parks left. We got to the room which are not 5 star, so outdated and bland, we found the tv didn’t work. After asking staff to come fix it, the concierge came and couldn’t and we were moved to another room. The replacement room had 2 double beds instead of a king. When we told staff this, they simply didn’t care. I had only booked the room for a king bed and to watch fox league. The only nice part was the lobby. So overpriced and not 5 star at all
No water provided in the room. To make a cup of coffee, they expect water from the bathroom to be used. Disgusting. The room booked and paid for in advance was not available on arrival. Surely did not feel like a five star. Building definitely wasn’t up to standard. Lots of cobwebs everywhere. Extremely disappointing for a supposedly five star.
Overall Hotel is well located in Brisbane and Staff Helpful. Not really a 5-Star price, for this Hotel in its present condition. The Rooms need a proper upgrade. No USB ports. Our Room had no Change Chair or lounge seat to sit on. Very dingy lighting..bring a camp light for your room and to shower and to put makeup on in the bathroom. Very small and outdated TV, with a very slow operating menu screen, which takes ages to scroll through. Desk Lamps should have Daylight bulbs - NOT mood lighting to fall asleep with. Pool area is shared between two Hotels (Mecure Pullman), which is already too small and with minimal seating capacity. Rooftop Bar area near Pool is good. Need to UV-tint the Glass Atrium in Goldfinch Restuarant for breakfast. Too hot, and limits their seating capacity during busy mornings in summer. Get in early to avoid waiting in line. They should provide Free Wi-Fi in the Rooms. It's like providing a Bathroom with no Towels. It's the 21st Century people!
I must appreciate the staff at the Pullman Hotel dating back on 01th/10/2020 around 0930 AM. I Arrived early than my Check in time and yet the lovey Gentle mens took care of my luggage and store it for me, Receptionists were also amazing, shout to this lovely guys at Pullman hotel, very friendly and always nice to the guests. Thank you guys for making my stay very welcoming. To the cleaners who cleaned level 15! Are amazing guys, on the 2th October 2022, are nicely guys. Love your team work and kindness to guests. Restaurant staff are just amazing, food 👌👌, Chef’s are Excellent at they work. Love you guys.
The shower head is way too low. Very uncomfortable.
the staff and location
The SHOWER was full of MOULD the TOILET didn’t FLUSH the MAIN LIGHT didn’t WORK and OVERCHARGED for the CAR PARK I’ve had better experiences in a 3 start hotel !!!
Really disappointed. Booked here to celebrate our anniversary, check in took so long (at 610pm, it took an hour) that we missed our dinner reservation, we had to park in a carpark around the block as no parking was available and, to top it off, at 610pm (when checkin was 2pm), our room wasn’t even ready. The room we got wasn’t what I expected as per the photo and we were right next to the lift which was noisey most of the night. For $500 for one night and service like this, I definitely won’t be back. Incredibly disappointed.
Good position though poor service
Located in a great position though customer service was poor. On many occasions contacting reception there was no answer regardless of the time of day which is simply unacceptable for a hotel that has a 24hr front desk.
Location was great. The service was super poor, until the manager took over and made the rest of our stay a pleasant one.
Location
Tired and old
Perfect location to explore Brisbane. Love that it had a bath! Roof top pool fabulous at night.
The staff were all lovely. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived.
Found the staff lovely, although heating wasn't working. Was able to move to a heated room on the last night. Found the property a little dated but very clean. Great location, walk to all the shopping and Roma station, for the airport train
Water damage outside our door the hallway smelt very mouldy.Shower pressure was poor, damage to door jams, pillows were really low quality, cleanliness was bad and the only good thing was the hotels location. Will not be returning.

Room air conditioning was poor and did not sufficiently cool the room. No working air conditioning in the gym.
