Has an initial issue but the manager took care of it to our satisfaction. Unfortunately, we were not aware there was nighttime road construction outside the hotel. It went on all night both nights we were there

Very nice property and staff but the hotel itself has no services like food with almost nothing in walking distance.

Great hotel, nice modern facilities and impeccably clean. We were travelling for a wedding and the staff were so accommodating with an early check-in so we could get ready. Parking was easy too. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Room was not cleaned by 4pm and we had been out of our room since 8am not good enough

The staff at this property were terrible, they were unable to do there jobs competently. The property itself was great but not worth the effort to deal with the staff. The area is not very close to restaurants and tourists areas

The staff members we connected with were most accommodating Customer service is in their DNA! I wish we had planned a longer stay!

Convenient for ferry and lovely room, friendly staff

three staff standing behind the counter but i was directed to a kiosk to check in. not welcoming at all and to be honest soured my experience overall. i didn't realize that there was a rail yard behind the hotel - very noisy, especially at night. not much in the way of restaurants nearby except for a Vietnamese which was closed. room was ok but easy to hear outside noises and conversations / tv from other rooms. wouldnt stay again at this hotel and would be reluctant to stay at a sebel in the future.

Wish hotel was closer to shops and restaurants

Very pleasant person on check in desk. Very helpful. Walkable distance to Sky Arena which was where we were going.

Reception staff friendly. First night rubbish bin still full from previous person. Stayed 3 nights, normally put my dishes in washer each day but left in a hurry one day and came back to still half full cold coffee etc. Had to wash dishes so i had a clean glass and clean mug to use. Bed was only made properly on one side. Clearly needed vaccum. Probably wouldn't stay again for that price

We like staying at this property, it is convenient and in a great location for us. The rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable.

Sebel Thorndon great location to catch the ferry to Picton in the morning. No need for a restaurant due to just needing a bed to stay and parking for our car. Disappointed we could have parked for free on the road and paid $30 for hotel parking (check time restrictions). Bed, king size pillows, so comfortable, great shower and products. Bonus was the coffee machine. Hotel is well appointed, we highly recommend.

The property is in a good location. It is clean and quiet and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay again.

Was in Wellington for business and this property was perfect. Good sized room - with everything I needed. Nice and new! Comfortable bed and very clean.

Excellence

Outstanding service I arrived late and they were still available to help me get in my room. It was a wonderful experience. They even made a special bed for my six-year-old son, even the welcome card with a beautiful little teddy bear such a wonderful memory they have created for my family as we are moving from Auckland to Queenstown we drove all the way from Auckland took us 10 hours And needed a nice place to stay to recover to be back on a road the next morning. I am very pleased and feel very touched by how nice everyone has been at the Sebel hotel. Whenever I’m in Wellington, I will be sure to stay here. I recommend highly recommend anyone staying here whether they’re with family or alone. It’s a great location and beautiful place. Very clean and very modern beds are super comfortable and staff were really helpful and professional.

Fantastic stay with a delightful personal touch! The hotel exceeded expectations – from the welcoming staff to the comfortable rooms. Impeccable cleanliness, and the amenities were top-notch. Highly recommended!

Close, but is it close enough?

No complaints about the place at all. Fairly close to city centre, maybe a 20 min walk

Great fit for our night in Wellington and early ferry the next day.

It was everything it should be. Very convenient to the ferry terminal.

Bathroom terrible, drain in shower blocked water everywhere. No room to place anything in bathroom. 1 english tea bag available and only 3 capsules for coffee. No restaurants open on a sunday night in area.

Had to ask for instructions on coffee maker. No milk and not enough sweetener or instant coffee

Not there fault but parking area had puddles to traverse. Towels not well folded and one had marks on it.

The room I got was not the one I booked. In the photo of the specific room I booked, it had a photo of a double bed with a sofa. I got 2 single beds and a chair. The person at the desk said "a double bed is two single beds". Something to note if you are booking this hotel.

Very helpful staff- had an issue with room and they sorted immediately with no problems at all. Lovely clean place to stay.

Decent and clean, but long walk to food

Really nice apartment at a good price, clean and decent sized with all the right facilities. Negatives are the location - no decent shops around (though you can walk 10 - 15 mins to some), and the rooms can be quite noisy in the morning with lift bells etc., as there isn't enough noise insulation

Choisissez un autre hôtel si vous le pouvez et vous n’aurez certainement aucune difficulté vue la gamme de prix. Si cet établissement représente le groupe Accor changez de propriétaire. Le peu qui a été fait est dans la décoration dans les grandes lignes. Arrivée à l’hôtel avec mes nombreux bagages pour m’entendre dire qu’il n’y avait pas de place de parking ; j’ai donc tourné dans toutes les artères et rues adjacentes sans pouvoir me garer sachant que j’avais un ferry le lendemain matin à 7h. Arrivé dans la chambre la table du salon en verre fendue en deux ainsi que la table de salle à manger complètement rayée. Le lavabo de la salle de bain complètement bouché. Et l’accueil du personnel très moyen !!!!. C’est le même prix qu’une chambre au Sofitel et le service n’a rien à voir. En bref adresse à oublier.

A lack of facilities on out visit

No parking spaces available at the time of our arrival, plus laundry facilities out of order and our freezer not working, meant that all the things we needed for a pause on our campervan tour were not available to us. To most visitors these factors may not have been a big deal, but it meant that we were quite disappointed and would have rather spent our money elsewhere. The property and rooms were great, clean and seemed to be relatively new and modern. Staff were friendly, but did not exactly go out of their way to help us resolve any of our needs, which may have improved our experience.
