This was a delightful place to stay. Very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and overall an exceptional value. This is an older style accommodations but I'm not a person needing celebrity place to stay. After all we are here to be out and discovering the sights of Nuremberg. Would stay again if we return.

Nice quiet and clean room, great breakfast selections, right at the edge of Old Town Nuremberg. Easy walk from Bahnhof station. We took the U2 from the airport to get here. Elevator small but works great if you have heavy luggage or knee issues.

Very conveniently located.

We are all (8 of us) extremely satisfied with the cleanliness of the rooms and friendly service from the team. Breakfast was a delightful experience as there were enough varieties of bread, jams, cereals, fruits etc.

Staff were very friendly. The location was great, very close to the train station, old town and dining options.

Nice hotel in prime location

Nice hotel with a clean, spacious room. Situated right in the middle of Nuremberg. Staff were friendly and allowed us to store our luggage on the day of out departure as we had a late flight.

Beautiful hotel in pedestrian lane close to shops, dining, sites. After-hours check-in requires code.

The only real issue was that the maid woke me up to early every morning with her noise. Quiet. Basic. Shower is a bit of a pain. Tiny with curtain. Right inside the walls across from station. Look for the elevator at the end of the hall to get to reception.

PrivatHotel Probst was fantastic. The room was large and very clean. Bathroom was also fantastic - there was a nice heating board to warm the towels. Breakfast was great! Hotel employees were extremely nice as well. The location is only a few minutes walk from the train station. Would definitely stay again!

A fantastic little hotel with very friendly staff. We stayed for 2 nights and the location is perfect for exploring the old town. The hotel is very clean but could do with updating in some parts. We were able to leave our bags even when we had checked out and were astounded by how cheap our stay was for the quality of what we recieved. Overall a great experience!

Perfect Nuremberg location

Good sized rooms. Good bed. Good sized bathroom. Reception staff nice and helpful. We stayed Fri - Sun. Take earplugs if you are a light sleeper though as we could hear noise from a nearby nightclub. Loved the hotel and the location which was close to the station and just a short, straight walk to the other side of the river. Would definitely stay again.

Fiendly, helpful staff who spoke English which was helpful. Good size room and a very clean bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. They will store your luggage aftercheck out if you need.

Located feet away from old city, variety of restaurants nearby, easy transportation. Clean and spacious rooms. Easy check in after hours. Good and affordable breakfast. No parking lot on site and we needed to walk dawn about a half block with the luggage.

Hotel was clean and convenient to everything. No elevator and ac was questionable but they did have a coffee pot and small fridge.

Very nice staff!

A very convenient location to the train station, its in the old town and you can walk everywhere. The room was very clean and comfortable with ensuite, fan phone charger free wifi and roller blinds, and some beautiful artwork onbthe wall, related ro Nürnberg. Breakfast was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. There's a small lift and guests receive their own access key to the building for after hours. Loved staying there, and will return.

Easy access to everything

Location - excellent, in old town, easy walking distance to main attractions, train station and large range of eating options. Service - very friendly Accommodation - spacious room, but no fridge or kettle. Eating - Breakfast not included, can purchase on site. Tea or coffee not included in room, have to pay extra. Wi-fi - very good, in room Summary - recommended

Good value...noisy for a Friday night...stairs!

Great location. We were there on a Friday night during the Christmas Markets. Our room was on the fourth floor, and the noise from the street was very loud until 4AM. Breakfast is good but ordinary. You need to take stairs to get to your room after checking in.

What a great find! Room was basic but exceptional clean and new. Breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location near the train station with restaurants nearby.

Lovely, welcoming hotel

Hotel is perfectly located for a stay in Nuremberg, just inside the city walls and a short walk from railway station. Staff were lovely and helpful without being intrusive. Breakfast was fabulous and very reasonably priced and you can have a take out picnic if required. Plates and cutlery provided for DiY refreshments. We walked to castle and around the sites, all within easy reach for two 50+ sisters! We even found a lovely open air swim spot about 20 mins walk outside of walls. We'll be back for sure

Fantastic experience from start to fininsh.

Everything was fantastic. The staff was excellent. Also, I was upgraded to a better, bigger room for the same price. Breakfast was fantastic and it was very useful, it saved me the time and hassle of walking around trying to find a place to eat. Would recommend to friends and family, and also would definitely come back if I stay in the city again. Cheers.

Fabulous ownership. Beautifully designed room and bathroom. Lots of pride by owners in renovating this hotel. High quality windows, great shower and attention to details. Great bed and bedding. Furniture is very nice. Location fabulous. Fair pricing. Friendly front desk people. Pride of ownership shows. I agree with all the other very positive reviews and I would also say these owners really care about their guests and they take pride in their hotel. It is very very clean and well taken care of. I stay in hotels all over the world and this hotel for the price they charged is excellent. Hope you too will enjoy your stay there.

Short stay in Nuremberg

Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Great buffet breakfast managed in keeping with local Covid-19 regulations. Bedroom, bathroom and dining area were very clean. Great location very close to transport links and city centre. Hotel offers very good value to a budget-minded traveller.

I really enjoyed my stay. The staff really paid attention to our special needs. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, the breakfast buffet rules were unorthodox. I am definitely looking forward to my next stay. Thank you for your military service

The room is big and clean, wifi is fast, shower water temperature is hot and stable and heater is warm. Staffs are friendly. Lovely stay!

Dissent, but not what I expected

The hotel has a good location - inside the old city, a few minutes walk to the hbf. It is also very clean. However, personally I did not like it - You don't have staff there overnight - reception is being closed between 22-23. Elevator also doesn't work at night. I had hot water for a shower, but not too much of that. The room was super basic and did not have even a kettle for tea. If you choose this hotel - just be aware of that and make the right decision for you.

Ultra clean, excellent breakfast, friendly and cooperative staff, reduced parking fee close by.

Staff were super helpful. We borrowed a kettle n 2 cups cos we needed hot water. Location was great, near e main train station n within mins of e old town. We lacked only a tissue box in e room.

Lovely little hotel

We just love this hotel, stay there every time we’re in Nuremberg!!!

Hotel is in a great location to sights, places to eat and all the shopping you could want. There is a lift so you don’t have to climb stairs if you don’t want to. The staff at the desk and in the morning breakfast were super helpful and eager to bring coffee, boiled or scrambled eggs to go along with a very generous breakfast buffet. The hotel felt very safe and comfortable - we wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

PrivatHotel Probst was a great find! Right in the center of things and close to the train station. Breakfast is fantastic and the service wonderful. Only downside—no AC, but we were there during the heatwave.

We had the option to purchase a buffet breakfast right at the hotel, which we did. It was very reasonably priced with many food choices. My wife is a celiac who also does not eat meet, and there were enough choices for her.

Great location. Room small but clean. Good breakfast. Day staff helpful and friendly, but older male night clerk could not and did not wish to help with WiFi connection. No English tv for us news junkies.

Charming hotel in the center of Nuremberg. The rooms are nicely appointed, staff are amazingly kind, and the breakfast is great. This hotel is wonderful.

Very good location close to the train station (3 minutes walking), supermarkets, restaurants and the Nuremberg shopping area The very friendly and helpful staff The rooms are comfortable and with the necessary for a short stay A bit of discomfort in that the elevator is out of service at dawn and I had to go down the stairs with two bags of luggage to go to take my train at dawn Apart from that, a very good and comfortable option at a very good price.

A wonderful and affordable old style hotel in a perfect location. I had the cheapest available single room so it was no frills but very clean. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from the Central train station and is situated in the old town, so all the tourist attractions, shops, cafes, restaurants etc are at your doorstep. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and the WiFi was excellent. I didn't eat there but the breakfast area looked very nice. Just be aware that you need to take a very small lift up to level 3 to check-in and then if your room is on levels 2, 4 or 5 you will need to use the stairs to get to your room so this may be an issue for people with mobility problems.

Nice and affordable hotel in the Altstadt part of Nuremberg. Check-in process was smooth. Room was clean and basic. Good breakfast.

The hotel us is located in Old Town, and with the Christmas Market in full swing, we were exacrly where we wanted to be to experience Nurnberg. We would higjly recommend this hotel to all.

Hotel situation perfect in Old Town. 10 minutes walk from station. 10 minutes walk from shops. Bars within 2 minutes walk. Nice room with en-suite bathroom. Always had hot water. Room was beautifully cleaned every day.

Second time staying in Hotel Probst, really friendly family run hotel. Ideally positioned in old town, lovely breakfast with home made pcake.

The warmth is the Hotel was so good in the wet cold rain. There was a heater and I could dry my coat socks and shoes. Very helpful

The elevator was a bit of a challenge especially when there is a line of guests waiting to go. Other than that everything was good.

SATISFACTORY (Note: check-in time is b/4 11pm)

Overall, it was satisfactory for staying a night at PrivatHotel Probst. Even though there had been a miscommunication between the hotel and me, allowing me not to be able to check in on the first night, the female manager was eagerly trying to deal with the customer complaint properly on the next day (morning). After the check-in matter had been settled, everything was great: the room with toilet was clean enough to stay, especially the bed was so comfortable to fall asleep. Less than five minutes walk from Nuremberg Hbf, which was easily accessible to the hotel. Would like to recommend this hotel to people who are able to check in before "11pm". Otherwise have to wait outside of the building till the reception is open.

A little tricky to find, but th staff was friendly and the room was good. Also, the free breakfast was excellent!

A good place to stay in Nuremberg

This is a very clean, quiet and comfortable place in the centre of Nuremberg. The people who run it are friendly and helpful and provide a good breakfast. There are restaurants and bars nearby and it's also very close to the main railway station. The only drawback I could find is that the lift only stops at floor 3, so you have to use stairs at least some of the way if your bedroom is on another floor, which could be a problem for guests with mobility problems/heavy luggage. All in all, I found it very good value for money, and I would happily return, and recommend it to anyone visiting the interesting city of Nuremberg.

Close to train station. Good neighborhood- close to shops and restaurants. Friendly staff and clean and tidy room. Breakfast was sufficient. Would definitely stay there again.

Great staff! Friendly helpful and caring. The hotel is near the Main Train Station in the FORMER Red light district. The rooms are small but cozy. Close to restaurants and cafes. See the German DEB railroad museum. Your hosts are golden!

Hotel with great location to visit the city

Very convenient location for exploring the historical centre and also for the train station. The staff are welcoming and the breakfast is tasty and has a good selection. The local area has plenty of restaurants.

Overpriced

The hotel was over priced for what we got. Good location. No refrigerator which was disappointing. The rooms are noisy, we could hear the people in the room next door snoring & each time somebody unlocked a door with a key, we could hear it. Very small lift, could only fit 2 people & 1 bag in.

The Probst Hotel is a little gem . It is situated right in the heart of the old city it is an easy walk to most places. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommended

Nurnberg city centre break

A five day stay to explore Nuremberg and environs.Public transport is easy to use and good value.The hotel offered good value cold drinks at reception and the Probst family oversaw everything very well.

Overall, very nice hotel. Just know that if you are there during weather when you need to open windows, a room facing the back of the hotel is much quieter.

Convenient and friendly

Sightseeing trip - this hotel is handy for station and all the sights. The breakfast is well worth the money. It was very hot in the room but there was a fan. No kettle or fridge in the room.

It was easy to find and the location is really close to main train station of Nuremberg. I had breakfast there. The service was good.

This is a very old building and old hotel. The space is considered quite big for a small room for me 1 person. And they really kept it well preserved and it was very clean. But there was no air-con and no electric fan in the room. I was lucky at the season was just changing to summer so it was still not that bad for me since i only stayed for 2 nights. But i would not recommend for people who cannot stand hot. But if you do mind no air-con and fan,for the price its good. clean room and spacious. Very friendly and helpful staffs too.

Close to hbf

5-10min walk from the HBF, easy to get to. When I arrived it was almost midnight, to which I had notified and discussed with the hotel a few days prior that would be okay. The policy with this hotel after a certain time is to call the front desk upstairs through a intercom and the lower floor. When I arrived and used the intercom they stated and insisted I did not have a reservation , and after letting me in the show them, it took them another 10minutes to find it ,which kind of a hassle. Other then that the room was clean and just as described , in the future I would only stay here again before the front closes at night if arrive by then.

Nice hotel in the old building

We were so happy to stay at this hotel. Staff was very friendly and helpful at all. This hotel was very well maintained even though I suspected the building was old. The room still used manual lock, but that's not a problem. However, for those of you who will check in over 6 pm and bring the suitcase, and the room is on the top floor, be prepared to carry it through the stairs, because the elevator only exists up to the loby. But at noon, the owner of this hotel will open the room to be able to use a special elevator from the top floor.

Good location. Close to hbf and shopping and sights. Noisy street at night and we found the room a little too warm. You couldn’t leave the window open because a lot of noisy partiers in this area. Probably wouldn’t stay in the summer months unless you want to party;) Decent breakfast and friendly staff:)

A Great Place!!!!

We love the Probst, stayed a year ago and came back again. The people are lovely, great location, room is clean...what more could you ask for...will come back again!!!!
