Room was not checked properly. We were given a room whose toilet door was not getting closed, shower was not working. Food was real disappointment. Even though there were lot of options, food was really bad. They need to work on their food. Very very bad!

Staff was very accommodating when there was some confusion with my reservation. They were also extremely helpful with our dietary restrictions. Highly recommended and will be back again.

Pros: Family Club rooms were comfortable and clean. Pools were great for all ages. Beautiful beach and grounds. Shuttle train made getting around the resort easy. Cons: Food was just okay. Buffets were chaos and al a carte was nothing special. Staff friendliness and service were hit or miss.

The mains, mostly meats, were not good.

A great place to visit as a couple although not for a family or pregnant women. I went with my wife and my 3 yr old son. My wife is pregnant and we all got a stomach bug from something we eat or drank. We are the type to be extra cautious, even using bottled water to brush our teeth and clean our toothbrushes etc. We met with another family of 4 there and they all got sick as well. After talking to other people on the resort we came across around 20 other people with food poisoning and other similar illnesses. After observing the eating areas more closely, we noticed the birds had access to the areas where we eat. They would land on the place mats, cutlery and glasses while the staff would walk by not changing them or disinfecting the areas. They would also fly across the rooms over tables, and hang over the lights. Shedding their feathers, pooping, peeing and cleaning their feathers. It could be many things although this is one major issue we saw with cleanliness in the areas where we eat. The food quality was terrible in the buffets and restaurants. Not what you expect from a 5 star resort. All in all, not a 5 star resort. More like a 3.5 star.

Decent stay

First time staying no complaints. Back then I was a novice resort traveler. No shade on bravo grand. This was my Second time staying at this property!! Could have been better. For the current price point I feel like this hotel didn’t miss a beat. If you’re expecting a wide variety of alcohol. You’ve come to the wrong destination. If you pay for platinum ( upgrade on room and alcohol and a few different restaurants) you still lose on the alcohol. You can only get platinum drinks from the platinum bar. ( that’s annoying) why do I have to catch the shuttle to the platinum bar and I’m hanging out in the front. I feel if you don’t go to a ton of resorts you’ll have no complaints. Too many resorts with modern upgrades that will make more sense.

Great stay for me and my family

The beach is gorgeous! Our room was perfect for a family of four with two small children. My kids loved the bunk beds! The food was mediocre. AVOID THE BUFFET AT ALL COSTS! My child got food poisoning and was vomiting for 24 hours. We filed a complaint with the hotel. They said others were sick too and they had launched an investigation. The a la cart restaurants had much better food. Our kids loved the water slides and pool area. Service was lacking. Friendly staff, but poor service. Be prepared to wait for drinks, food, everything. We travel a lot and this is by far the worst all-inclusive we have stayed at.

this was a great place for my family to have a vacation. food was awesome and the swim out rooms were the best. only thing i would say was bad was the pools just need to be fixed (tiles) . re-due the pools and this is a 5 star resort easily

My family and I really enjoyed our stay.

I guess the best thing in this hotel is staff. The majority of folks were friendly, welcoming and really were trying to make your stay pleasant. There were a few exceptions but in general staff was great. The area of the hotel is big, there are places to walk but there's a fundamental issue with the design or usage of the hotel's internal roads. You can't simply walk around - you always deal with the traffic. It's like an internal highway: tourist trains, trucks, buses, golf cars, motorcycles, bicycles, you name it - everything is there driving/riding nonstop. And, obviously, those vehicles leave a lot of exhaustions around so you can't enjoy a fresh air. The beach itself is awesome. The only wish - would be nice to have more covered spots, otherwise existing ones are being taken quickly. The ocean had a lot of waves during our stay in December so we spent the majority of the time in the pools. But some of the pools were kind of dirty and unsafe for kids. We only saw staff cleaned the surface from leaves and bugs but we've never seen actual cleaning of walls and floor like in other hotels. Our kid got sick since she gulped that water in the pool. The food is ok but there were crowds close to Christmas time so kitchen was lagging behind a bit. Also our families got food poison a few times there. The rooms were fine. We especially enjoyed the bunked beds. There were a lot of mosquitoes but it was raining most of the time and the area is swampy - kind of expected.

Saw a rat in their Resturant actually took a picture and video, and after I showed them it he rat they kills the rat middle of the Resturant, a good car driver on our way to our room stop and told us to get them a drink (gin and tonic lol) we ask for wine opener after Annie and 40 minutes dude shows up after 4 times calling, expect the guy Jerry in the front receptionist the rest are hate their job and they just wana rob you, I would never go there and I wish that place for no one very average food and even the bottle waters are not all sealed seems like the filling up the water them self … go to hard rock hotel instead, we decide it to change our hotel this place shouldn’t be even 3 star where they get their 5star I don’t know!!!!!

The staff was nice. The food left much to be desired. I expected the drinks to be watered down but not that watered down.

The room was very clean and facilities were well kept. There were many different restaurants with good food and buffet restaurant was also as good as the others. The beach was good. I was able to find a sunbed with umbrella no matter what time I went to the beach. There are frequent shuttles running in the resort so getting from one side to the other is not a problem although I had to wait more than 15 minutes a couple of times during busy hours. I needed WIFI because of my work and the connection was not the best, but it worked most of the time. The pool could be bigger but I didn’t mind as I am a beach person. The staff in all the facilities were friendly and helpful. Overall I had a good experience.

Will always be my fave hotel

I did like it all the animation team excellent . i didnt like the 24/7 pub food is out at night no plates no cheese for the nachos you have to ask and when u ask they give u attitude. the guys

Very family focused, what a great place to stay. I have a 2 and 4 year old, they had a blast.

The Good: I must begin with the staff. We were treated with great attention. The staff at the Hispaniola, El Gaucho, almost all the bars, even some of the people trying to sell me stuff made the stay better just by being nice. This Beach is a place that heals the soul. The sand massages your feet and exfoliates your skin. The ocean breeze hugs you. The water embraces you. Your eyes are overwhelmed by white and blue. Amazing. Food and drinks are always close by and we all found something we liked. The Family Club. The rooms at the Family club have the best placement in the hotel IMHO. The kids loved the water park. The Bad: The pizza. While some of the toppings were surprisingly delicious, everything else about the pizza was bad. It reminded me of children’s pizza at Romano’s. The pizza restaurant was very well decorated and we were treated very nicely. But the pizza. The wines included were bad, but at least they had a wine menu you could purchase much better wine. No room service in the family club. We would have loved to eat breakfast in the room. Gladly would pay extra for that. The ugly: The family club has amazing looking pools. Sadly, they were polishing the wooden pergolas around the pool. Every morning pool staff would leave the pool pristine but by the afternoon a thin layer of sawdust made them look nasty. Overall: Amazing hotel for the price. We didn’t want to leave and are already planning to go back. Would recommend.

Booked for 6 days and was ready to leave after day 3. Staff was nice. Other guest made the stay horrible. No respect. Buffet was always packed. Food was so so. Won’t ever stay there again.

I’m really sad to leave this review because there are a lot of great things about this resort, BUT: 1) I booked this resort due to the vegan menu listing specific items. Not one restaurant was able to make even ONE item. I feel very misled. Guest service reached out to us more than halfway through the week and did not correct the issue at all. 2) My 5 year old fell and injured herself due to floors being mopped with no signage. One of the cleaners saw and started yelling at the man mopping. I’m still tempted to take a legal route. 3) The staff are really rude. We asked a food truck if we could order food and got yelled at lol. It was opening in “25 minutes” apparently. The staff just seem to hate tourists for the most part. There were of course some exceptions, and yes we tipped really well! 4) This resort should not be claiming to handle dietary restrictions well as they are just NOT. When we said no meat, we literally got eye rolls. At the Italian restaurant I asked for pasta in oil with grilled vegetables and got 3 little pieces of zucchini. 5) The kids area pool was closed for cleaning at least twice. No signs or notifications of when it would open. I think you’re getting the idea here…..

Property was good, the transfer did not pick us up to take us back to the airport. They confirmed pick up the day before, and just did not pick us up. Their representative said we were not on the list and he was otherwise useless. I have asked for a refund because transfer was prepaid. Nexus responded to my e mail, but all they said was they understood my fustration, and did not say they would refund.

Best food

Everyone that works there is very polite and welcoming. The beach is amazing and clean. The rooms were great with lots of room. Food is good and there are lots of a la carte restaurants that had good food. You can book all the activities right there and everything was smooth and easy.

Came here for a family vacation and can say we will be back in the future! So many activities for kids! Everywhere is wheelchair and stroller friendly. Food was delicious! The buffet food was even better than the restaurants. There’s a shuttle to take you around but it takes a while to come or it’s full (usually at dinner time). The staff was super friendly! They made us feel so welcomed. I would come back again!

We changed rooms and when we got to the other room everything was incomplete, the bathroom was dirty and slippery, my wife slipped and fell to the floor. Incomplete towels. Incomplete mini bar. The only good thing was the reception service. the service of the person who takes the suitcases to the room.and the green area.my wife has an injured leg, I didn't complain because it would be a waste of time...thank you.

It was perfect for little kids (5&4) the kids pools are shallow and have great entertainment for little ones. The room was rather small for a family and the cleanness I would rate a 6.5/10 I also wish they had an airport shuttle. The food was ok. Overall we had a great time

Went with my Family to celebrate my 31st Birthday, We had a good time and felt very safe since every area has security gaurds and the environment is super clean ever so often i saw people working and cleaning. However there was few slight things that i wasnt too happy about, 1. We booked mainly because of the Waterpark they have we traveled with our 2 kids but it was under reconstruction so none of the 6 days they coupd have used it. 2. The AC was very slow in the day i didnt xare but evening we love to have that cool/cold air to sleep. 3. Into our 5 day they didnt re stock our fridge. 4. The food truck by the beach made food with Beef only and my family dont eat beef so maybe the Management should have cooking beef and chicken just a suggestion Overall, The environment, The Staff, The Food & Beach was great.

A very enjoyable 5 days at the Family Club. We had a swim-up room, which was very popular with the kids. The place was probably quieter than usual due to the week we went. We would definitely consider another visit.

Very nice property for family…

Second time going to this resort and will be back again! Staff are amazing, rooms and nice and kept clean. 100/10

1. Check in was horrible! Basically tip them so You can get your room on time or within the hour. Is your not Dominican get ready to be up charged and asked to pay in cash. 2. All inclusive bars, ice cream truck, and 3 buffets plus other restaurants that require a reservation were amazing. Except for the hibachi! We got food illness. It was nasty and horrible. Don’t eat there but the buffets are wonderful the food is great off course after 3 days your repeating the same meals but still good food and variety. The bars in the pool and by the beach are water down drinks. They need to get better bartenders but they do the trick. Especially if you tip they work faster. 3. The beach is amazing! If you stay at the family resort it’s just a trolly ride away for a nice walk. The water is warm, beach is clean and sand is soft ! My kids loved it! I loved it plenty of sitting area. People sell brackets, cigars, (420) and braids which is amazing, but if you’re not Dominican or at least speak Spanish get ready to pay up. Also best to get your trips from them. We did and enjoyed it a lot. We did the buggy, cenote and coffee making tour it was great! 4. The pools at the resort are disguising! In 6 days not once did I see a chlorine tablet or liquids placed to clean. Day one I asked for them to come fish out the swim out pool area lemon hair and nasty slimy stuff. On our swim out the pool had mildew. We avoided the pools! Customer service zero!

My family and I enjoyed walking to the beach through mangrove forrest area with its wild life rather than to wait and push our way through for a train/shutter ride to the beach. I wish the kids pool and kids club area would be cleaner. The service was superb in all areas.

Service and maintenance needs improvement. Cabana rental by the pool area service was very poor and not serious about VIP service that they promised. Unfortunately I had a baby that needs nap and had to rent something confortable for them to take a nap.

Good food and excellent service.

Food was bad, they have the same food every single day, very limited on breakfast, lunch and dinner was the same food. Rooms are ok, the lobby area and buffets have no AC it was very hot everywhere, staffs are just there doing their job, not friendly at all. The trains to go to the beach are always full and a long wait. My kids couldn’t eat not even the dessert food was terrible.

when I arrived I had a problem with my room door, where every time I try to get in security had to jam the door open on top of that I had to wait 30-45 min each time to get someone to help me get in. Itold the front desk and every time they told me it would be fixed and every time i came back the problem is not fixed. so on night when it was even harder to get staff I couldn't go back outside because I wouldn't know how long it would take me to get in. the resort did switch my room with one left of my stay I stayed from 8-10 to 8-15-2024 staff would not compensate me for my troubles.

Great place to stay we had a wonderful time

Tuvimos unos cuantos inconvenientes con el hotel. Llegamos y una de las habitaciones aun no habia sido limpiada, tuvimos que esperar mas de una hora. El carrito para trasladarse hacia y desde la playa, siempre repleto, la gente peleandose por un lugar porque la capacidad del transporte y la frecuencia no son sufucientes. En los buffet el servicio deja mucho que desear; conseguir mesa, que te den cubiertos o te sirvan una bebida es mision casi imposible. En el kids club los niños no estan permanentemente vigilados y eso es un peligro! uno de los niños de mi grupo se fue del kids club y apareció después en brazos de una desconocida buscando a su familia. Eso es una irresponsabilidad absoluta. Tambien pedimos un arreglo con globos y banda de cumpleaños y nunca lo pusieron. El uso del velero que esta incluído una vez por dia, 30 minutos por habitacion, nos fue negado al 4to dia porque segun ellos ya lo habiamos usado mucho. Los tragos en los bares son de muy mala calidad. Y podria seguir enumerando detalles negativos... Aunque el pesonal del hotel, en general, intenta dar un buen servicio, estan evidentemente desbordados.

Deben poner una señal en el area de la piscina que indique no se puede comer y así evitar que sea el seguridad que este voceando que no se puede.

The resort was pretty and the peacocks added more beauty. The staff was not as nice especially in the buffet areas. Not friendly. The best staff & service was at the restaurant focaccia. Best service I had was there and Lasagna was great. The beach area was nice & accessible. The main pool was dirty and not well maintained. Definitely needs some work.

The food was cold most of the time and not very appealing. You were very limited with making reservations for dinners and most of the time there was still space but if you missed cut off that was it. Very hard to get specific drinks made. The staff were not very friendly or even tey to be accomodating when you asked questions. The family space had a lot of mold in the rooms. The pools were not clean at all and about 150 degrees! They said there wasba kids game room, which was in the 24 hour pub which was fine but none of the games worked so all they could do was play pool every night. The entertainment staff was not very entertaining! I would never go back

The employees were not friendly or helpful. On our first night we did not have AC and the staff were not too helpful about it. The food was very mediocore. The highlight was the waterpark, which my kids enjoyed. I will not recommend anyone staying and will not be returning.

Fue bien, excepto que el parque acuatico no es para uso familiar como dicen, sino para los niños y ellos no siempre quieren tirarse en los toboganes sin sus padres. Los empleados muy estresados, poco serviciales por el exceso de clientes. Particularmente, Nancy, la de animación del parque acuatico, muy grosera e irrespetuosa al llamarme la atención por deslizarme de un tobogan con mi pequeña hija, ya que yo desconocía que no podía y más bien, fue que reservamos en este hotel pensando que TODO era de uso familiar y no es así. Si es buscando un parque acuatico y que todo sea para uso familiar, este, definitivamente NO es el hotel. Excelente servicio de Arlin (recepción) y Anyi (del Wasabi).

Very dirty, the rooms where ok but the hotel and pool super dirty, also the food not good at all.

This is the 2nd time my family and I have been to this resort. We absolutely love the environment and the beauty of the property. There are so many different reataurants to choose from. JUST MAKE SURE TO BOOK A RESERVATION EARLY (or else you wont be able to book anything). Don't worry, the buffet also has a lot to offer. This resort is Eco friendly and have birds roaming (peacocks, ducks, geese and others), turtles, fish and guinea pigs. The property is so large that there is always something to do or go to (walking or using the 24 hr trolley).

When I booked this hotel through Expedia, the rating was 4 1/2 ⭐️. This hotel is a 3 or 3 1/2⭐️. My family and I were very disappointed in many areas that I don’t even want to think about it anymore, I’m just glad I’m back home. This was my first visit to the Dominican Republic and honestly might be my last.

Overall the resort was excellent I would definitely come back with my family

We have been in many other resorts, this resort is the best family resort we have stayed at. The fun is non-stop…super safe for the kids. Lots of staff to watch the kids. The food quality is great and the drinks are made fresh with good quality liquor. They serve Presidente Beer and Budweiser. The bed in the rooms are very comfortable. The place is clean. The staff is super friendly. The A La Carte restaurants are super nice specially the Hibachi one and the Italian one named Focaccia. The Cafe is just like being at Starbucks but much better. We will return to this resort. Some of the areas are not new but they definitely take great care of the property.

Our 2nd time staying here. It was an amazing stay. Travelled with 5 kids and the stay was very memorable. Staff was great, property extremely clean, pool was nice, kids thoroughly enjoyed the water park. Will definitely be back.

This was our first time taking our kids on vacation and although ours are a little older, our 9 year old son made freinds and everyday looked forward to hanging with them in the pool. So as for kid friendly yes this one is.

No A/C in the room, buffets were terrible but the dinner places were decent.

Family club was great! The beach was perfect, the pools were clean. Some restaurants were better than others. Room was cool and clean and the trolly was fine. We used Nexus to get to and from the airport which was smooth and easy. They have lots of things for kids and families and the buffet was adequate.

Staff is really working hard to not be helpful at all, they act like they are working for free, I’ve been in punta Cana multiple times and this time was horrible
