Couldn't have been better
The staff was so friendly and helpful; the breakfast excellent; the rooms and grounds lovely. Thanks you!
Ainhoa, the proprietress, greeted us warmly upon our arrival, and made sure we were comfortable using the keys to unlock the exterior gate, entry way, and our room. She even lent us a prepaid card for the local busses so we could get around easily. The patio where breakfast is served each morning is surrounded by plants. The room was air conditioned, and very comfortable. There are only 6 rooms in this boutique hotel. Breakfast was prepared for us each morning at our reserved time. Homemade jams and jellies, and fresh-squeezed orange juice. Located in the old quarter, it was an easy walk to the Silk Market shopping district, and Plaza Nueva, where the local busses and taxis are located. Many interesting restaurants are located nearby. We ate at “El Agua” for lunch one day, and it was delicious. It was about a 30 minute walk up to the Alhambra, or you can take a local bus. Ainhoa recommended several local walks, and they did not disappoint. We enjoyed our 2-night stay and would love to stay again in the future! Highly recommend it!
special place
Everything perfect, especially the true hospitality of the staff.
Fabulous stay for a few nights. Tony was a very kind and welcoming host and made us feel at home straight away. A must stay place when in Granada.
The property was beautiful.
Staff went above and beyond to be helpful and welcoming. The property is so well situated and we would definitely return.
Two nights in Granada
cute guesthouse in the old town. There’s an attic in our room with a bedish thing. one of us slept on it the first night, and they made that “bed” for us the second night and ended up charging extra “bed”. It would be fine, but no one had told us before hand.
lovely and friendly staff, resident dog who is super friendly, basic breakfast but tasty - would have liked eggs to be included in the breakfast. charming little B&B
Usually I stay at larger hotels. I was so pleased with everything at Posada, particularly its staff and the quality of their recommendations for entertainment and meals. Amazing.
Boutique hotel: good personal service provided by the people running it. It's down a small alley with no car access, but just a short walk from a taxi-accessible street. The only problem was that on arrival, the taxi driver had no idea where the hotel address was. The web site might usefully include instructions (in Spanish) to cater for this difficulty.
Posada de Quijada
Posada de Quijada is the absolute best! Ainhoa, Julia, Carmen and Allen were wonderful! This place is a gem of an oasis. Close to Plaza Nueva, Alhambra, Albaicín, Sacromonte, everything. Definitely coming back!
Beautiful little guest house . Loved the breakfast. Just make sure you have good trainers for the cobbled streets and hills
A very hospitable and welcoming hotel. A good location and convenient for all tourist centres.
Wonderful Stay at the Posada Quijada
Posada Quijada is a lovely, small Bed & Breakfast in a great location. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is really good and different each day. They will organize activities if you need and use a very good taxi firm for trip to the airport (I would not recommend hiring a car). The room we had was spacious by European B&B standards, with a good bathroom and shower. There's no TV and the wifi can be a little slow but you should be too busy and tired for it to be a problem. The only area that could be improved are the door locks, which take a little getting use to. The location is awesome - right in the heart of the Albaicin (old quarter), close to the Alhambra and great restaurants and tapas bars. However, you need to like walking and should wear comfortable shoes. The cobbled steep streets will provide a great workout! I highly recommend the Posada Quijada.
You would never guess what lay behind the wall. It was a beautiful patio where breakfast was served each day. The food was excellent. The room spotlessly clean. My friend and I had the to top rooms which meant we were able to share a delightful private patio with views of the Alhambra. Each room was individually designed. I would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.
The location was great- lovely breakfast included. Wehad no complaints at all.
Posada de Quijada
Posada de Quijada is the perfect place to stay when visiting magical Granada. Inma, Ainoa and Vicky were outstanding hostesses. The room was super clean, the bed quite comfortable and the patio simply idilic.
Very simple but comfortable accommodation. Well located in Albayzin neighbourhood on quiet Calle but not too far from main streets and restaurants. Very welcoming staff. Nice front terrace to sit and relax or have a drink.
Lovely Hotel in Great quiet location. Staff on day one and day three were friendly and attentive. Good sized room and lovely terrace for drinks and food if required. Only issue is the parking. Permit required from the hotel to access the roads and finding the garage to park in is very tricky.
Very friendly, good location and great breakfast. Hotel full of character.
Lovely guest house with excellent hosts who looked after as very well. Location is very close to the centre attractions. Granada was an interesting place to visit and wander around,
The view and the terrace was great Great location for walking and sightseeing
A perfect location in a lovely area of Granada
A fantastic little hotel in the Albaicin Quarter of Granada. Friendly welcome and service throughout our stay. It is in an excellent location for exploring Granada on foot, and especially good for visiting the Alhambra.
Perfect stay
Welcoming and personalized service. The owner’s recommendations for what to do, see, and where to eat were excellent. We felt like we were staying with long-time friends.
Cute, Charming, and Convenient
The wom2n who run this little place are SO nice and helpful. They hooked us up with a great flamenco show and even accommodated my gluten allergy for breakfast!
Authentic Albaycin Posada, lovely spotless rooms, flowers, view of Alhambra, plentiful breakfast, helpful multi-language staff.
Beautiful hotel in wonderful neighborhood. Great breakfast in a lovely setting. Rooms were very comfortable and everyone was so nice and helpful. Loved our stay.
Excellent accommodations
Within walking distance of Alhambra, shopping and great restaurants.
OS
Excellent privately owned hotel. Its in very quite and safe neighborhood, yet just 5-10 min walk to main street. A parking is big deal for these who rent a vehicle in Spain.
Wonderful place in the old town
The owner is a very good hostess. She has two employees that were also very good. The weather was cold but the rooms were warm when we arrived. She had umbrellas for us to use. A very spacious bathroom. A VERY good breakfast. I would love to stay there again, many days! Walking to and from it was unique - such small and twisty streets - fun to experience.
Excellent Boutique Hotel in Granada.
Amazing stay. Staff was exceptional. Kudos to Julia!! Highly recommend this boutique hotel.
NOT TO BE MISSED
Very nice hotel. Lovely rooms and very comfortable. The owner is very nice and so are her team. Nothing was too much trouble. Lost our return boarding cards and they printed more off for us. Will definitely go there again.
Heavenly with very helpful hosts.
Posada de Quijada is absolutely fantastic. The place itself is quaint and serene, although it's in the middle of a bustling area. The room is clean and wonderfully decorated with a beautiful balcony and a lovely terrace. The hosts, in particular went way above and beyond. I was traveling alone, and unfortunately got some food poisoning. The hosts brought food and medicine to my room and checked on me regularly. I couldn't have asked for more care from them.
Great little hotel
The hotel had great character and the staff were extremely welcoming. Very helpful and friendly which created a great atmosphere. A terrific find
mixed impression
Great location, cozy lilac room upstairs with access to shared terrace with one other room. Cozy sitting area in basement. Staff was nice and helpful. Left a bad impression at the end when we realized we were charged for tea (without being told in advance we would be) and the lady booked an expensive taxi for us to the airport (no meter) and didn't tell us that's what she was booking.
Fabulous experience
This is a lovely hotel right in the centre of the Albaicin area. The staff are so nice and friendly and Julia even came and met us when we got lost and took us to the car parking that was arranged for us by the hotel. The bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. We had the 2 bedrooms with the joint balcony which has a view of the Alhambra so it was lovely to sit out at night and enjoy a drink with the great view. Breakfast was included and was delicious. Don't think twice about staying in this hotel as you won't be disappointed.
Casually comfortable posada in the Abazyin
This posada is in a perfect location in the heart of the Abazyin. A few hundred yards downhill from St.Miquel square, and 10 minutes uphill from Plaza Nueva. The posada itself was quiet, very comfortable and the hosts went out of their way to make our stay a real treat. They even saved the day by acquiring the hard to get AlHambra tour tickets for us! (Thank you Julia)
Nice, small friendly hotel
La Posada is located in the Albycin, just minutes away from several of the major attractions. It is probably best to take a taxi from the train station (10€) rather than trying the buses. If you do take the bus, you have to buy the LAC ticket before getting on the bus. The staff were very friendly and the breakfasts were nice.
Charming guest house in historic Albaicin
This delightful guest house is ideally located in the Albaicin, the most interesting part of Grenada to stay in. Rooms, though small, are charmingly decorated in a Spanish Country style. Leyre and Julia are great hostesses/managers, always willing to provide information about the city, restaurants, attractions or tours you might want to take. They provide a breakfast that includes tostadas, homemade tomato jam and other preserves, fresh orange juice, cured ham and sausage and selected cheeses, as well as coffee, tea or herbal teas. Lunch and dinner are also available on request. We had dinner there one night, served on the patio and it was simple but delicious. I felt as if I was staying at a friend's house, rather than in a hotel.
Delightful!
This absolutely lovely place was one of the most perfect, wonderful places we've ever stayed. The ladies looking after us were absolutely delightful... friendly, helpful, generous, kind and such fun to chat with! The room was beautiful; the breakfast lovely, and the location was marvelous.. if we visit Granada again, we will stay here again for certain. We loved every moment.
The place to stay in Granada
IT was simply fantastic. It was worth visiting Granada just to stay in this cozy hotel. The hostess was so welcoming after a bit of a climb that we immediately forgot that we were tired. It like going home -- Julia offed us coffee and cake and told us what all visit and where to eat.
Lovely apartment in the Albayzin
This Posada has 6 apartments and a great area outside the kitchen to sit and where breakfast was served. The breakfast was simple but tasty. Our apartment was just a bedroom and bathroom. There is no sitting area but it is spacious enough and well apppointed. It was a very comfortable stay. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful. It is situated on a narrow street so no car access but we able to get a taxi to and from and be dropped at the nearest street corner. It was an easy walk and quiet. The apartments are close to most of the attractions with some uphill walking which is expected in Granada.
Nice small hotel
This hotel is kind of unique opportunity to feel Granada: you're located in the heart of medieval district. Everywhere you go, the road brings you to ancient treasures, houses, bazaars, etc. Fantastic views of Alhambra from almost everywhere. The hotel is very small: only 6 rooms. The owners rebuilt the ancient house, which you will certainly enjoy, if you love peaceful and relaxing stay. This hotel is not for TV lovers and hectic style people. Everything is decorated with love and style. I would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to all my friends heading to Granada.
Lovely
A real find. The location is excellent, convenient yet quiet. The staff are friendly and charming. I would strongly recommend it. The area is a quaint maze of narrow roads and alleyways with right-angle bends. Satnavs are worse than utterly useless. At one point I was directed down a road which was a metre wide! The hotel kindly sends out detailed instructions covering the only route to the parking garage. Unfortunately for me this was identified as spam by my ISP and I only found the email after arriving. I phoned the hotel after driving around the maze and they immediately came over and guided me to the garage. The next people to arrive after us had the same problem.
An absolute jewel of a place!
Attractive location, comfortable and cosy, throughfully docrated and furnished, with incredibly friendly and helpful staff - an absolutely amazing place! We loved everything about it, but would particularly emphasize the staff - they ensured warm hospitality and excellent advice on activities, restaurants etc.
Really nice!
What a sweet place. We immedielty felt comfortable. Great room. Great location. Nice breakfast. Our hostesses (three friends) toke turns making sure we were settled, from where to go to an early 6:00 AM cab with a boxed lunch.
We absolutely LOVED our stay! This was a beautiful property, located right in the heart of the older part of Granada. Perfect for walking around and seeing the sights. Our terrace had amazing views of the Alhambra and the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains. Our host was ANAZING!! She helped us get reservations for flamenco show and advice on where to go to eat, tour, etc. I can't wait to go back to Granada and stay here again!!!
Fabulous Posada in Great Location
We stayed three nights at Posada de Quijada and booked the two rooftop terrace rooms. This worked really well as the rooms share the terrace and meant that we had it to ourselves. The Posada is tucked away in a small street and is very peaceful and the owners are really helpful. Rooms are beautifully decorated and make great use of the space available plus the view from the terrace of The Alhambra really sets everything off. If you don't like big hotels and prefer a more personal touch, this is definitely the place to stay in Granada.
