Friendliest reception staff

Without a doubt the reception staff on duty were absolutely the best. Their warm & friendly greeting and service made us feel welcome the instant we got to check in desk. Apartment was really very spacious and well furnished. Lovely views of the harbour from the apartments 3 balconies. Definitely recommended for families or friends seeking a getaway. Only problem I had was with the lifts from 5th floor. We had to walk across quiet a distance every time we needed to leave our apartment due the lifts closer to us being shut off from 6pm in the evening. We were not made aware of this, so it really was an inconvenience. But even with access issue it still was a lovely place & enjoyable mini break for us.

The property is in need of Maintenance… furniture display in picture on the website is not the same condition and poor quality .

PERFECT FOR OUR FAMILY

The bathroom and apartment had a damp smell all weekend.

We were kept up all night by noisy neighbors (residents) who had a part next to our bedroom. Although staff tried to help things did not improve. Not wanting to risk this happening again we felt forced to move to a different location, despite having only used 1 of our 5 nights rental. We were not compensated for this in any way and management failed to reach out to us, even though we’ve made at least 5 attempts to contact them. Don’t go there. Location not good either

Excellent stay

The place is clean and well kept. The beauty was beyond our expectations. Close to the beach and restaurant. Very close to ushaka

Terrible experience!

It was very low grade, no fitted sheets, jakuzi water smelling, windows not cleaned, bed was not comfortable at all, bathroom shower leaking all over the passage, very poor quality service. Poor communication ALOT OF NOISE from neighbours paerying ALL NIGHT! Music was very loud and littery played until 8am!!! Absolutly terrible customer service and the area is like a ghost town!

The apartment was in need of a lot of TLC The shower doors leaked onto the floor The toilet seat was falling off The freezer was frozen over The crockery and cutlery were mismatched and inconsistent The floor was very dusty and balcony dirty The queen bed had a single flat sheet instead of a queen fitted exposing half the mattress - very unhygienic There was an ironing board with no iron Hangers were insufficient

My stay was amazing.... The staff members were quick to respond to all my problems. The cleaning ladies were also helpful and amazing when it came to advice about sightseeing...

Just Short of Excellent

The overall stay was very good. However, we saw two roaches during our stay. We dined out and only had light snacks and drinks in the apartment. We thoroughly cleaned any crumbs from left from snacks and daily disposed of rubbish. So, seeing roaches was a bit surprising, especially on such a high floor.

Spacious apartment with lovely view. Comfortable beds and satisfactory furnishings. Not much to do in the immediate area which seems to be in the process of being revitalized. However we had a car so we were able to travel to restaurants etc. The barbecue was old and rusted out and did not work. There was noisy construction going on in the building during the day.

The apartment was not clean. The furniture was broken. The shower has mold. The cupboards was broken. There was a bad smell.

Location not ideal

Comfortable and pleasant apartment, but the surrounding area is not ideal and it was sometimes quite noisy at night.

I liked the proximity to the beach. The apartments were beautiful and there was security around the clock.

The level of cleanliness was woeful, the apartment smelt of urine and excrement, the carpets were dirty and sticky, it was a very uncomfortable stay

Great views from the balcony. Spacious and clean.check in was awful. Had reminder from Point Waterfront about booking but no mention the the reception had moved to a non descriptive laundry room on ground floor. Arrived in under ground parking to find lift not working. It was suggested we go and eat 1st before going to the room. Drove around for an hour but could not find anything suitable. The surrounding areas did not appear safe at all. Went back to apartment and climbed 10 floors to our apartment. ALL the inventory of cutlery and utensils was wrong and there were no little bits that previous guests leave behind like salt/pepper/sugar etc(as one normally finds in self catering apartments.) The lifts were fixed some 2 hours after our arrival allowing us to bring up our luggage. There was no instructions on how to connect to the apartment’s wi-fi and the safe was locked.we were informed we. Outdoor not use this!!. Eventually got information on how to log onto staff wi-fi. The lifts broke down regularly during our 4 night stay necessitating there long climbs up and down on several occasions. Would not have been suitable for people with mobility problems. The owner of the apartment/management agent need to sort out these problems because in it’s present form I do not feel the flat/organisational set up is suitable for holiday rent.

overall beautiful place however the construction is not yet completed. We had water running from underneath the sink to the leaving area. Toilet in the bathtub bathroom was been fixed when we arrived however didn't work through out our stay. Patio chairs by the balcony are recommended WIFI veeerrryy slow ended up using my own data. room 412

Apartment 904

Aparment was nice but was not checked before arrival. Aircon did not work and everyone keeps treating you like an idiot when reporting it saying keep doors and windows closed but if the aircon can only be felt when you have your hand right in front of the vent it is not working. I know how aircons work and that one definitely did not work so stay was very uncomfortable due to the heat. Shower was not checked as I had a shower and half the aparment flooded due to the drain being blocked. Very nice apartment but maintenance needs to be done and everything needs to be checked before a person books in. Also was told there is nobody available for maintenance outside office hours which is unacceptable unless they offer another apartment when one is not what was advertised. Had to also ask for the free wifi password as it was not given and nowhere in the apartment placed for convenience. Had to wait for someone to actually come to the apartment to give me the password which I feel is very unproffessional. Also with the construction there I would have prefered to have been notified of this prior to my arrival.

Review of my stay at point waterfront hotel

I loved the place but as advertised they said it's a seaview but when I got there they said the apartment I booked doesn't have a seaview. What a disappointment. 2ndly when I entered the apartment it was stuffy I had to ask them to come with air freshener to spray the apartment. 3rdly the following day I went out trying to give the time and comfortability to clean, I came back at 1pm the cleaners only came at 2pm and they didn't even bother to clean the balcony whereas I used the gassbraai. I had to make calls for all of this. It a nice place but they must improve their services on a serious note and their way of advertising

Its a very good place, my family loved it. They just have to fix the shower place because the water was flowing out.

A stunning view of the ocean. Unfortunately there was construction going on during the day till 4pm, but it still was a pleasant stay.

I love the view and the ventilation, I loved the proximity to the Ushaka marine centre but the cleaners did not always do a good job

Very new, upscale and clean building. Security is present and reassuring. Short walk to UShaka Marine World, with attractions, shops and restaurants. Will be even better when the area’s expansion gets built out.

Maintenance needed!!

The place is shoddy, needs maintenance. People were friendly though. Close to uShaka and the beach, would be much better once the construction on the beachfront is done.

Great Staff! I can’t say enough about the people at PWA. I had a pleasant experience with every person I encountered from my arrival to my departure. There was a little confusion because my information I received prior to arrival said I was in Apartment 411, but Power had been instructed to check me into 516. Apartment 516 is a 2 story apartment right across from the elevator so that was convenient. The furniture was modern and comfortable. I really enjoyed the fact that they had small blankets on all the beds because I like to throw something over me when watching television. There was tons of storage with the closets and plenty of space for multiple people to share the apartment without feeling crowded. I had two complaints during my stay. My first complaint was about the A/C vents being filthy, but when I notified them they were in the apartment quickly to clean both vents. My other issue was the birds. The 5th floor is the top floor and in this particular unit the roof cover of the patio is damaged and the birds have nested in the slats. The patio stayed dirty while I was there. They would send people to clean the patio, but as soon as they were done the birds would poop again. The one time I attempted to walk out the patio door I was met by drops of bird poop, so I didn’t try that again because I’m a bit OCD. This was a bit disappointing because the patio was the main reason why I chose this accommodation over another option.

Great place to stay in Durban

Great location in Durban, with outstanding views of the ocean and beach. The unit was very spacious, quiet, and having a balcony facing the ocean was a big plus. Clive was very accommodating and responsive.

Wir hatten eine tollen Aufenthalt. Das Apartment ist gut eingerichtet, gepflegt und sauber und bietet alles, was eine Familie benötigt. Die Lage direkt am Strand und in der Nähe von Ushaka hat uns sehr gefallen. Die Aussicht von unserem Balkon Richtung Hafenkanal und Meer hat und sehr, sehr zugesagt und beeindruckt. Einziger Minuspunkt: Der Pool wurde renoviert und wir konnten diesen außer an einem Tag nicht nutzen, hierauf gab es im Vorfeld keinem Hinweis von Hotelseite.
