Rooms are well worth the price and the best part is proximity to the fabulous Plakias beach. Just a short walk. Town is within walking distance and many grocery markets and restaurants.

Just a lovely, quiet and relaxing spot. Perfect for what we wanted.

Good value

Located on the edge of Plakias broadwalk, right next to the sea and attractions it has to offer. central location made it convenient to explore the city, and the friendly staff provided exceptional service

No washing machine as advertised. Also the washroom hot water was not consistent.

A wonderful experience for entire family. The facility and the entire experience was really good. Property is well managed, very helpful staff and extremely welcoming. We will absolutely stay again if at all possible.

Could have been better

The staff were very friendly and helpful. But the resort was directed to the German clients. The information book was all German, as were the instructions to use the equipment in the rooms and the tv was mostly German language.

Rough start but overall a nice stay

Are check in was rough. We got there late and the people were not sure about a couple of things. We needed and extra cot and it was actually in room and we did not see it and they did not tell us where it was. Also the hot water tank needed to be turned on for hot water and we were not informed of this and when we asked about hot water the man still did not inform us how to get it. The linen was dirty on bed. They accommodated clean linens when requested. After the first evening everything went well. The pools are very nice and the beach was great. Very close and umbrellas and chairs for us. Not crowded at all. Location is great. Very close to the town center. THe rooms are not fancy but all we needed. The woman at the front desk during the day was extremely helpful with where to eat and local information.

Great family resort

Plakias Resort is a great family location. Very clean, spacious two bedroom unit with large balcony overlooking the courtyard. The courtyard has two good-sized pools and is beautifully landscaped. We were there in late May and the beaches and pools were a little too cold to swim it. The unit and resort are well maintained and there is an all day and night front desk. The employees were all very helpful and friendly. There is an OK restaurant within five minutes walk of the resort. You can also walk 20 to 30 minutes to the center of Plakias town and there are a number of good restaurants; many on the beach. Just outside the town, there is a grocery, bakery and butcher. A car is definitely recommended as Heraklion is two hours drive away and most sightseeing is a drive. This is definitely good quiet place for a family to hang out.

Great place, on beach

Bad staff; bad advertising

The studio room is advertised as having a balcony/patio with a sea view. This is not true as we found out when we stayed here; the studios might have a pool view but none have a sea view. The staff here are very rude and quite odd. The internet connection here is not very good either. The beds are very firm and thin, making for an uncomfortable night's sleep.

My second time was as good as my first!

Great spot if you are looking for a resort style hotel. They do an all inclusive price but I would suggest you get outside the hotel to get the authentic Greek Taverna experience. There are great spots on both sides of the hotel. The staff here is very sweet and professional. This was my second experience at The Minoan Palace and I look forward to another stay next year. A special thank you to the night bartender and the girls who run the spa. The building itself is a little dated but it is very well maintained and overall very clean. Great breakfast as well.

Very good

An excellent hotel, complimentary water, wine and fruit on arrival. The room are well outfitted with good quality fittings. The staff were very helpful.

Nice hotel, close to beach

Modern and well equipped apartments with air conditioning. Near the eastern (naturist) end of the Plakias beach, so about 15 mins walk to town. We stayed in a standard apartment and it had full kitchen equipment, sunbeds, front and rear sitting areas and was clean and modern. The 2 pools and separate children's pool were well maintained and never crowded. A basket of fruit and a bottle of (local) wine were waiting for us on arrival, which was a nice welcome. Staff were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay and we would certainly go back there.

Bellissima esperienza al plakias resort. Parcheggio attorno al resort. Posto davvero incantevole, con piscine interne e atraversi la strada e sei direttamente sul mare con lettini compresi con il resort. Per i locali sei a 5 minuti lungo mare.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt mit 2 Kindern, perfekt!!

Très chouette logement, bien équipé, à proximité directe de la plage (juste une petite route à traverser), transats gratuits sur la plage, très propres et super piscines. Personnel vraiment très sympathique et serviable. Petit déjeuner possible à l’hôtel voisin et très bien achalandé. Beaucoup de choses à faire dans les environs. Seul petit bémol: dommage de ne changer les serviettes que tous les 3 jours mais c’est vraiment un détail. Nous reviendrons et nous le conseillons vivement.

Nice hotel with great location

Nice hotel in the calm location of the city. Friendy staff at the reception. We got second floor room with kitchen and two bedrooms, room was clean and spacious. Kitchen was equipped with owen, two coffee makers and fridge with freezer. There are three swimming pools in the courtyard of the hotel, two large pools and one little pool for the children. The beach is only few hundred meters away on the other side of the road. There you will find sunbeds with umbrellas included in the room prize. Plenty of parking space around the hotel In case you are travelling by car. If you get tired of the main beach there are many wonderfull beach nearby. Nearest markets & restaurants are located within walking distance.

Väldigt fint och bra ställe. Nära till stranden. Vi bodde tre stycken och extrasängen i vardagsrummet var inte toppen, samt att det inte blev så mörkt i det rummet, men bor man två är det jättebra.

Sehr gut gelegen, nah am Strand mit Strandbar. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Das Appartement mit zwei Zimmern ist geräumigv und die Küche tip top.

Die EG - Appartements mit Veranda zum Pool sind nicht ganz so schön wie im Obergeschoss. (Kennen beide Varianten). Trotzdem pudelwohl gefühlt

Zeer fijn verblijf, enige minpuntje was dat er soms stroompannes waren, dit werd meestal snel opgelost.

Nous avons séjourné 15 jours dans une villa 3 chambre avec piscine privée. Le confort est maximum, La propreté irréprochable, Le service est top et régulier. Tout le personnel est aimable et attentionné. Du top niveau !

Fin beliggenhet og hyggelig betjening

Vi har bodd på et annet hotell i Plakias tidligere, men Plakias Resorts var mye bedre. Staben var svært hyggelig, hjelpsom og imøtekommende. Fine bassenger, og gratis solsenger på stranden tvers over veien. Flott beliggenhet. Fine kulturmål i rimelig avstand fra Plakias (leiebil).

Sehr schöne Gegend. Sehr gutes traditionelles Essen in den umliegenden Tavernen.

Toller Familienurlaub

Tolle, ruhige und überschaubare Anlage! Das sehr freundliche Team ist immer hilfsbereit. Man merkt, dass viel Wert auf Sauberkeit gelegt wird. Unser Appartement war sehr gut ausgestattet, die Küchenausstattung ist ausreichend für ein Frühstück auf der eigenen Terrasse/Balkon. Wir haben sehr viel Zeit am Strand verbracht (Liegen u. Schirme kostenlos, aber begrenzt), bei den Kindern sind die beiden Pools oder der Kinderpool auch beliebt gewesen. Tavernen sind in Plakias fußläufig erreichbar. Ein Mietwagen ist, nicht nur wegen der vielen Ausflugsmöglichkeiten, natürlich sehr empfehlenswert.

Schön konzipierte Anlage direkt am Strand

Besonders gefallen hat uns an dieser gepflegten Anlage der große, überdachte Balkon mit viel Privatsphäre und die Nähe zu dem tollen Sandstrand. Gern wieder!

Bis auf Kleinigkeiten alles perfekt

Wirklich sehr zu empfehlen, es gibt nur Kleinigkeiten auszusetzen, z.B. dass an den Pools kaum wrikliche Schattenplätze möglich sind. Sonnenschirme bieten keinen Vollschatten, mehr Baumschatten wäre schön. WLAN nicht perfekt aber viel besser als anderswo schon erlebt. Sehr gute Ausstattung des Appartements, alles sauber. Freundlicher Service.

sehr geräumige Appartments mit guter Ausstattung und großen Balkonen. In direkter Strandnähe. 3 Pools und Parkplätze direkt an der Anlage. Leider hat der Ort Plakias außer ein paar Restaurants nicht viel zu bieten. Daher ist er wirklich nur für einen reinen Strandurlaub zu empfehlen.

Fantastisk hotel men det blæste meget

Fantastisk hotel med rigtig god lejlighed der blev rengjort hver dag. Lækre svømmebassiner. God reception. Men svingende WiFi forbindelse i lejlighederne. Desværre blæste det rigtig meget under det mest af vores ophold.

Tolle Anlage in weniger schöner Lage

Tolle, sehr gepflegte Anlage mit wunderschöner Garten- und Poolanlage. Die Appartements sind sehr gut ausgestattet, sogar elektrische Zutruspresse und Waffeleisen sind vorhanden. Lediglich die Betten sind etwas schmal mit harten Matratzen und die Klimaanlage ist relativ laut. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption mit guten Englischkenntnissen. Plakias war zur Zeit unseres Aufenthalts eine ziemliche Baustelle, die Retaurants im Zentrum am Hafen sollen wohl neue Terrassen bekommen, dies war aber nicht fertig geworden und so standen die Tische und Stühle auf nacktem Beton. Auch der Sand am Strand wurde noch nicht aufgeschüttet. Zwischen dem Ortskern und der Anlagr liegen freie, unaufgeräumte Grundstücke, da wirkt die Analge wie eine Oase. MAn nimmt die Umgebung allerdings vom Auto aus stärker wahr, als wenn man zu Fuß am Meer entlangläuft.

Schöne Anlage in unmittelbarer Strandnähe

Sehr ruhige Anlage mit wenig Gästen (Anfang Mai), daher sehr entspannte Atmosphäre. Die Anlage ist noch relativ neu. Die Ausstattung der Studios ist gut. Der Service und die Zimmerreinigung hervorragend. Das Wetter war Anfang Mai hervorragend. In näherer Umgebung gute Tavernen zu vernünftigen Preisen. Leider sind nur französische Betten (160 cm breit) verfügbar. Daher kleine Abstriche beim Komfort.

Hübsches Hotel ca.50 m vom Strand entfernt

Da wir schon 3 mal in Plakias (im Aliatos Garden wo wir diesmal kein Zimmer bekamen) waren kannten wir die Umgebung recht gut, wegen der vielen Strände und Buchten. Diesmal buchten wir im Plakias Resorts per Internet, da wir die Anlage schon aus der Bauphase kannten. Wir waren sehr überrascht über den freundlichen Empfang und bekamen sogar ein Apartment für 4 Personen obwohl wir eines für 3 Personen bestellt hatten - ohne Aufzahlung. Leider konnte man sich nur in englisch verständigen, wobei man sich im Ort fast überall mit deutsch unterhalten kann. Wir werden wieder kommen!

sa situation en hauteur donne une bonne ventilation naturelle avec les brises de mer et de terre; petite piscine sympa pour se rafraichir.... attention à l'eau chaude qui est produite écologiquement (chauffage solaire) , il convient de ne pas la faire couler à flot sans utilité, sinon les autres n'en auront pas. L'utilisation de Soupline (pub non payée) ou équivalent rendrait les serviettes moins rêches......

Fint hotell på herlig sted

Alt var ikke perfekt på rommet, men de fikset alternative løsninger raskt og med et smil. Vi hadde følelsen at det betydde noe for betjeningen at vi hadde det bra. Nesten ikke trafikk ved hotellet, nydelig strand, et sjarmerende sted med ordentlig butikk og baker, og gode restauranter. Vi hadde bestilt 2 netter og ble 3 netter til.
