10 stars! Wow what an experience! Customer service beyond anything I’ve seen. We arrived by a speed boat and were greeted by banquet Director, iced tea, towels etc. Our beach villa had a private pool, amazing amenities. We had personal butler Khun Yid, and he was beyond amazing. Everything customized with what’s up text service where you can ask for anything and team just makes it happen. Resort is incredible, spa was amazing, pool with swim up bar, restaurants, kids play room and more! Lots of complimentary activities (we did sunrise hike and visited small island) will definitely will be coming back

Wowed by the property! Our room had double king bed!!! I’ve never seen this in my life! We had a “standard” room I didn’t expected to have a suite, it had patio, jacuzzi, showers, walk in closets and more! We had private butler Khun Esther and she was beyond amazing, easy contact with what’s up text service made it so cool and accessible. Hotel service was beyond you will ever experience. It doesn’t have walking distance shopping around but we did go to the night market which was organized by out butler as well. Highly recommend this hotel it worth every dollar and more!

Service and the stuff amazing and the hotel activities is excellent

Absolutely outstanding service- nothing is too much trouble and everything is set up to ensure that one is completely satisfied with every aspect of one’s experience. The level of comfort and relaxation we enjoyed is beyond that of anywhere else we have stayed in Thailand or most of Asia. More than 5 star service!

If you’re looking for quiet, a beautiful room and property, great staff, and close (free) proximity to Hong Island, this is definitely the hotel for you. No matter what, you will have a guaranteed amazing stay. Your personal butler and the staff are so helpful and kind, they anticipate your needs before you do. The room is TO DIE FOR…as a bath tub connoisseur, I have to say this one takes the cake. It is much more of a romantic property than a party or social one, so if you’re looking for that type of experience, either bring the party with you or stay closer to the main part of the city. We were a solid 20-30 min outside of Ao Nong or downtown Krabi, but you can catch a taxi for 4-500 Bhat and catch a Tuk tuk back no problem. We also outsourced our activities through trip advisor and went ATV and zip lining but the staff was super helpful in contacting the agents themselves and reserving our appointments. They really are there to help you have the best stay possible. Hong Island is to die for- and is free with the hotel. The actual beach attached to the property is not ideal for laying out as its rocky but the pool makes up for it and so does the easy access to the surrounding beaches and islands. Lastly, book an extra day than you anticipate. You’re going to want a day to lounge outside of exploring and not just on the last day of the trip. Oh lastly, the spa is pretty great and so is the breakfast buffet!. Enjoy!

This resort is amazing and was the best part of our Thailand vacation. The property is beautiful and serine and was truly relaxing. The service is top notch and Jean took excellent care of us. If you get the opportunity to go to Krabi, do not hesitate to stay here, you will not regret.

Since the first step into this property. I just love everything about this place. Sala Srichan, Staffs, decorations, sunset bar, breakfast, pool.... basically everything. We reserve for pavilion and got upgraded to villas. Which is already make our trip way way better beyond expectation. We were there for my girlfriend’s birthday. After checked in and went into our room. were cake and letters on bed. Khun Mon was our butler during the stay. She is very nice and friendly with service mind. One of the best experience I ever had in Hotel. Definitely looking forward to spend holiday again.

The Ocen view Villa was Absolutely Beautiful. The staff were OUTSTANDING. The food was Great. Loved the Thai restaurant. Loved the grounds. Ari and Yin were so Knowledgeable. They helped so much with the info. We needed to have an Unforgettable stay in Krabi. Loved Loved the 8am long tail boat trip to the Island. It was only 300B R/T.( About $9 US) Loved it was only 8-11am. Thus you get there before the Island get really busy. You can Enjoy the island, and leave when the other tourists are making their way to the island.. A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to the entire Staff at The Ritz Krabi; YOU are AMAZING.

Must visit

Must visit, excellent property, staff and food.

I don't like the design of the reception. It looks like the architect tried too hard to make a different. But it feel like going into a maze or high walled jail...the rest of the resort's design was OK. Except for the room, the pool, the restaurants and the bar was excellent.

We had an excellent stay at this beautiful property. The staff, facilities, food, and spa were top notch and what you would expect from a 5 star resort. Cannot wait to visit again in the future!

Fantastic room, Fantastic Views, Fantastic Pool!! The staff was amazing with my 3-yr old, playing American football with him on the beach. They went out of their way constantly. Breakfast was a very decent selection and everything was delicious. The fresh coconut water every morning was so meaty and delicious and the free champagne at brunch was a nice touch. We had a very nice Butler, but really didn’t call on him much bc we were perfectly comfortable walking everywhere. We ate at the Thai and the Seafood restaurant. Both were good, but Seafood had a beautiful atmosphere near the water and more unique selections. The room and bed were large and very well kept and maintained.

The property was absolutely stunning - the staff was so attentive and amazing! They arranged all of our activities and we felt like royalty! The food was awesome, and we didn't want to leave! I have no complaints about this property and hope to go back soon!!!!! Highly recommend -:)

We were upgraded to the pool villa. Room was amazing and the staff was very helpful. Spa is pretty impressive as well. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Did not disappoint

Amazing hotel, with great service everywhere from the bar to the pool boys! This was our second stay here and can not recommend it highly enough. Worthy of special mention are our butlers / personal assistants, Tanya and Seed. They were truly excellent and really made our stay extra special! Request for them if you can! The food in the Thai and seafood restaurants is very good.

Outstanding personal service and attention to detail. Staff are exceptional, food is amazing (the chef even created dishes especially for me, due to food allergies- without being asked!), stylish villas both in and outside, luxurious linens and toiletries, immaculately kept gardens and stunningly beautiful pool. Our butler, Tang, was AMAZING! I wanted to take her home with me.

Such a beautiful place! Staff were amazing, especially our butler Yid. Yid made our stay a memorable one and helped me with my surprise proposal! It was perfect.

Beautiful Hotel

Gorgeous hotel with a great staff. The amenities are fantastic and the views from the pool are incredible. Unfortunately they had heavy rains and flooding so there was not a room available for us. They were gracious enough to find an alternate hotel close-by that was very nice and still allow us to use the hotel amenities. They took very good care of us and we would definitely come back!

Real 5 star hotel

The service was amazing and very attentive. Room/Villa was very luxurious and huge beds, bathroom was gorgeous and lavish. I have stayed at a lot of hotels but this place is one of the best and comparable to the Aman hotels which says it all Will definitely come back soon

Wow, What a place!

The hotel was refined, classy and the staff were so attentive. The facilities were second to none & all the restaurants were excellent. The sunset bar was spectacular and whilst the hotel was nearly full, it felt pleasantly reclusive. I would definitely go back & will recommend to all my friends & family. 10/10

Resort holidays to chill and recharge

Impressive, private resort with great rooms and service was excellent but no access to beach and ocean swimming. Great Espa facilities to pamper and indulge. Very limited access to local shops and restaurants.

Amazing staff!

Incredible service from dedicated staff. We had a special occasion and they really went beyond the call of duty. So impressed. Some of the facilities need a lick of paint as the tropical weather wears things away over time. Food was wonderful as well, particularly the set Thai menu when we had our private dinner. Its a bit far from Railey Beach and Phranang but worth the distance for the experience.

Phulay Bay is awesome! Stay there and you will know what I mean. We tried taking photos but the beauty of the place transcends beyond the frame of the photo. It is detailing to the finest; from the panoramic view to the architecture to the landscaping. Stay there and you wouldn't want to leave the resort. Everything was GREAT!

No better option!!! Amazing and unforgettable

We chose phulay bay as last stop of our honeymoon, after three weeks of being traveling around Thailand, vietnam and Cambodia this was the best decision to relax and have last amazing experience in this beautiful country. We arrived later than expected and so tired after a long day, but since the doors of the reception were openned and we saw those thousands of candels and the beautiful Thai reception, our mood changed to relax mode. The warmest welcome that we ever had, with a refreshing towel and tea, our Butler (Beet) took us to the villa and explained everything really well, so by then we understood that we made the best decision. The villa was wonderful, bed and linens just perfect and no other words for the jacuzzi. Food in all the restaurants is really good and service impresive. The breakfast has really good options so I can not imagine anything else to be inclused (even mimosas available) Our trip ended with a spa treatment that was unbelievable. Thank you very much to do our stay unforgetable for sure we have to come back, 36 hours travelling from Colombia were worth it!!!!

East coast USA visitor.

First time to Thailand, this place is perfect for a couple...very quite, beautiful, attention to detail. I was worried that after all that travel we'd not feel like we were getting the most bang for our buck...but this place proved me wrong, totally perfect. We did daily activities from hiking, kayaking, exploring inland, and hong island all by just mentioning it to our butler, who set everything up perfectly. NO hassle with dealing with other businesses trying to coordinate trips. All the staff was so welcoming, and very accommodating. I have been to many Spas and I have to say this one was probably the best I've ever been too. Long story short, if you don't mind paying "American" prices for hotel drinks, food, activities...then stay here. You won't regret it.

Great luxury hotel!

Very nice hotel - superb pool and facilities - location is a toss up as it depends if people want to spend time at the hotel or visit places around krabi as its not the best location to move around krabi but a great location if you want to stay at the resort cut off from all the other beaches and the town

Excellent Royal Beach Villa

Property is very well maintained and service was exceptional. The staff is very courteous and eager to help!

Food has to be improved

I was torn between Rayavadee and The Ritz but in the end opted the more expensive one because it is not an ordinary Ritz resort but a reserve in a unique location. I am glad that I picked The Ritz. It is a bit far out but the complimentary trip to Koh Hong makes up for those beach bums. I stayed at the Reserve Sea View Pool Villa and the room was out of this world. Everything was perfect. I dare say the hotel pool is the BEST in Krabi if not the entire Thailand. Unfortunately, I was not too impressed by the massage and the facial I had at the spa. The food was rather disappointing too (same as the other Ritzes around the world I have to say). I tried both Thai and Western dishes and had to return them. The breakfast was decent. The a la carte menu is a nice touch but the pastry section is lame. They should ask The Ritz in Hong Kong for some pointers :-). My butler Tanya was very nice but she was very busy during my short stay. I think I would probably have felt left out had I stayed for a few more nights. There is room for improvement but I think it is the BEST hotel in Krabi and I have already recommended it to all my friends on social media.

One of a kind

Amazing place and staff.

BEST HOTEL EVER!

This hotel is impeccable and the service is even more impressive. You are pampered and awed from the second you walk in the door. A butler comes with the stay, who books reservations for dinner, escorts you around the resort and draws bubblebaths for you while you're away...the pool is immaculate, the grounds are unbelievably exotic and the food is superb. Worth every penny for a totally luxurious vacation!! Best place ever for a honeymoon or anniversary!! Returning is now my life goal. Every hotel after Phulay Bay was subpar. Thank you Beet and Poppy for an unforgettable vacation experience!

It was OK for a Ritz

Recognizing that this was a Ritz Reserve hotel, I left pondered the real meaning of "customized experience" vs. getting a little worn out. The service was 4.5 - 5 Star, the condition of the property was more like 3, and the lunch and dinner food was disappointing.

Wonderful Retreat in Fantasyland

Outstanding service and comfort! Wish the beach was more accessible but the pool is huge and beautiful as well as a better option...Our private Butler Yid was fabulous, friendly, fast and went the extra-distance making sure we were pleased 24/7!!!

This is a very relaxing place to just slow down and unwind. The wonderful Ritz ambience combined with the Thai people and kindness were much appreciated.

Great hotel, nice staff, excellent location. Food ok but for five stars could be better and more creative. Best food was actually at the pool. However food certainly good enough just not very creative. Thai food also a bit disappointing. Location and facilities would bring me back here. However don't do what I did and get a pool villa unless you are completely immune to mosquitos !! Much better using main pool. Not a good location for an elderly couple as could easily trip on stone paths etc and lighting not great

Great amazing but need some maintanence. But locatin and architecture of villa no match . Have to be careful about floor when wet very sleepery.

Luxury luxury luxury

If you want genuine luxury beside the beach in a private gated resort then this is for you. It's expensive but one of those once in a lifetime indulgences you should enjoy for honeymoon or new relationship! I recommend the Reserve Villas if in the budget and Beet the butler is brilliant. I will go back but with the correct girl next time :)

Fantastic Quality and Service

Absolutely nothing to fault - luxury villa's, attentive service, plenty of space, not too many people, great food - and the location and views are superb.

Best I have ever had...(5stars)

Best hotel I have ever stayed at, well worth the $5,000 I paid for those 10 days. I was treated very well by every member of the staff and they actually acted like they generally cared about my stay and that is rear. It was the most relaxed I have ever felt on a trip that I took alone, and I expect this from all Ritz, but unfortunately its not the same for all Ritz everywhere so I will use this as the lasting memory of the Ritz. I feel like this Ritz should be used as a template for other locations. Thanks this was the best...

An Escape to Remember

We arrived with high expectations (based only on various reviews we read) and we were not disappointed at all. The staff & service, the location and the resort were fabulous. I should add the restaurants to that list as well, the meals were a highlight. They really do spoil you with that delightful Thai service and pay real attention to detail. We just could not fault Phulay Bay as a destination to runaway to for an escape.

Stay here if you want to experience the beauty of the Thai Islands. Rooms, staff, pool, spa and activities are awesome. Don't bother staying anywhere else, they have it all here! I made the huge mistake of going to Phuket after staying at the Ritz. Nothing else compares. The bed and bathroom in our room was unique while being extremely functional. I loved this place. Can't stress this enough, don't bother staying anywhere else. Worth every penny. Save up and stay here. Pure luxury and comfort. Pics don't give this place justice..AMAZING! Top management and executive chef great you daily, making sure everything is expectional, and it was. Take the trip to Hong Island.

Excellence on every level

You often find in many supposed luxury resorts a heavy degree of creative license is taken with both the description and imagery of a hotel that ultimately leads to a let down. Not so with the Phulay Bay – it simply astonishes at every level right from the elaborate greeting on your arrival to your departure. Beautiful facilities abound and the amount both of thought that has gone into the concept and its continuing execution is clearly evident. I was extremely stressed when I arrived but that fell away very quickly. Such a beautiful place and the perfect spot to unwind for a few days.

Stunning resort, best hotel experience ever!

From the moment we were picked up at the airport by Phulay Bay's hotel car to the stunning hotel entrance, the no-hassle check in, our room--everything was absolutely flawless with this hotel! This was the first hotel of three we stayed in on a 2 week trip to Thailand & it really set the bar very high. The entire staff was so pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. The pool is huge and we spent most of our trip lounging by it. The breakfast buffet was fantastic offering both eastern and western options. All of the food at the restaurants there was delicious. Our room was beyond spacious--including the 12 foot bed. Phulay Bay is honestly as close to perfection as it gets!

Wonderful, Relaxing Escape

Could not say enough about this hotel, absolutely wonderful. The facilities are top notch and the service is even better. They anticipate your needs rather than waiting for you to ask and there are thoughtful details everywhere in the design of the rooms.

One of my new favorite beach hotels.

I spent two nights in January at Phulay bay Ritz in the Krabi Province. It has certainly become one of my favorite beach hotels. The service was fantastic, the food was great(especially the Thai food), and it is beyond beautiful. Personal butler service was perfection. All the rooms are nice, but the reserve pool villa was stunning and spacious. Loved the pool area, and the sunset bar is even better. You may not want to go anywhere else while you are staying there. I miss it already.

A hotel that spoils you!

Excellent welcome - we were assigned a personal butler who took care of everything! Great vacation.. dint want to come back! Superb anticipatory service! Totally a couples hotels - kids would spoil the serenity of the place! Only drawback- hotel doesnt have a direct beach access - hence they arrange to take guests to another island complimentary - so cant spend all day at the beach on leisure!

WOW! ... I cannot say enough good things about this hotel! I knew this was one of the best resorts in Thailand... but we had no idea how awesome this place really was. The whole experience, not just the environment, but the staff too, is very surreal. They really know how to make you feel special and thoroughly enjoy a relaxing and worry free holiday. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to splurge a little for a special occasion. For us it was our honeymoon, and we could not have chosen a better place!

Highlight of our trip to Thailand

I can't rave enough about this hotel. The room was enormous with fantastic views of the sea and the rocky islands. The staff was always on hand to help with every need, including our butler Aom and the fun/entertaining pool bar staff. The resort was relatively quiet while we were there and it was a true piece of paradise. Definitely take advantage of the boat trip to Hong Island too. We ate dinner on site one night and prices were as expected for a resort. If you are looking for other dinner options, I recommend the restaurant at the neighbor resort Tabkuuk (?) that has nice ocean front seating and good happy hour prices. We went into Ao Nang one night and regretted it, since we would have preferred being back at the resort and our uncrowded beach.

Perfect stay, excellent for romance

I had a fantastic 4 night at the Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay with my girlfriend. Manager Carlos was on hand to welcome us the moment we arrived and personalized check in was done in our villa. 24 hour Butler services made all the difference to our stay and our Butler Wanda was very attentive to our needs. View from the pool was amazing. The complimentary tour to Hong Island is a must go. We had a private dinner at the Sala Srichan which was great. The thai food served at Sri Chang is amongst the best we've had and we've been to Thailand on numerous occasions. Ken, the restaurant manager was very hospitable and attentive to our dining requests. All in all, a 6 star experience !

Heaven on Earth

Service, environment, and quality of the staffs were all superb and exceeded our expectation in many ways. Our butler went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect and was a key factor in making our stay a memorable one! Would highly recommend to have a dinner at Lae Lay; every dish was cooked perfectly and well presented.

Great hotel at a reserved place in Krabi!

Gorgeous atmosphere with greal hospitality fron staff (i.e., great butler, nice staff, go extra mile to find what I request AC adapter for lenovo laptop).

Good but...

The only flip sides were 2 in my view: Being the Ritz-Carlton I would have expected a large selection in the breakfast buffet. Don't get me wrong...there is all you need and more, but having been in other 5 stars hotel in Thailand I have seen bigger buffet selection. The other flip side (a combo) is the fact that is quite far "from life" and there is no beach for the hotel, but if you rent a bike as we did, it's get fun to cruise around...

Magical

We celebrated my husband's birthday at Phulay Bay and it was perfection. The property is gorgeous and the staff at the resort are wonderfully kind. Everyone goes out of their way to ensure your utmost comfort and they do with a warm smile on their face. We wouldn't change a thing about the time we spent there!

Great hotel, amazing Villas and services, quiet place, very nice moment in paradise. Only disappointment: rocky beach at the hotel and low visibility scuba diving done nearby (February)

Moroccan/Thai inspired design

The Morroccan/Thai inspired design can seem a little forbidding at first but the accommodation is very comfortable and the food is excellent. In particular, the breakfast buffet is first class with a very wide choice, all of which is beautifully presented. The staff is charming and extremely well trained.

while there are plenty of villas to choose from, the preserve room was very comfortable. the only reason my ratings did not receive 5's is primarily because of the cuisine. the food was not representative of the ritz carlton standard and was drastically overpriced. staff are very friendly and try to be as helpful as possible.

Fantastic place to spend our honeymoon

We had a brilliant time at Phulay Bay, the staff are fantastic and our butler Steve was a pleasure to be around. As you arrived at PB you are welcomed by the OD and GM and at that moment you feel like you have entered into a family. Keep up the great work. Saving our penny's so we can return!!

Stunning and outstanding hotel

This is quite possibly one of the best hotels you will stay in and it makes you feel like royalty. From the start until the end, it was faultless. All staff are very attentive (and remember your name/details and very polite and friendly); having a butler at your service was a very nice touch. It is not often at a hotel you will meet the manager, who is so pleasant and friendly. The view from the pool area is beautiful (over the Andaman Sea) and the grounds are very well kept. It never feels busy, as it is a large area and not many villas. The rooms are another world - the bed is huge and so comfortable! Spa is exceptional. Worthwhile doing the complimentary daily transfer to Hong Island - stunning. Overall, would highly recommend.

Ritz Carlton Phulay Bay, Krabi

We were there for 4 nights and I must say it was one of the most memorable stays in terms of accomodation and service. The villas were lovely and each villa had an individual butler to handle all our needs. The food was great and you had a choice having your own private dinner on the beach

Beautiful place with poor service

The hotel is situated in a beautiful Bay with access to the sea. The rooms are nice and well decorated. However the service is very poor : room service is extremely long to deliver, there are absolutely no activities (watersports) on the beach and absolutely no ambiance as I understood the hotel has had very poor occupancy rate. The staff is nice albeit totally unmanaged and very very slow in answering any of your queries. They have very little ideaon recommending activities and overall level of english and understanbding is very poor for an hotel of this category. Overall a very beautiful place with no ambiance and no soul.

Sublime

Hotel sublime avec un service irréprochable. Toujours bien attentionné le personnel répond à tous les souhaits avant même que ceux ci soient exprimés. La chambre est énorme avec douche et bain intérieur mais aussi extérieur. Piscine au bord de la plage incroyable. Petit déjeuner avec un choix fantastique.

extraordinário resort, lindas paisagens, ótimo bar na areia, bom café da manhã, tudo capitaneado pela gentileza tailandesa. o restaurante internacional por sua beleza arquitetonica e a qualidade do menu oferecido merece uma menção à parte.
