Love the staff - 5 stars! Great price and location. Although we ran into the no hot water situation on our last night but no biggie. Hopefully we won’t encounter same issue on our next stay. Only suggestion I would make is mop the floors in the room…a little dusty. See you next time, Ocean Dunes!!

Good place to relax by the ocean

Everything needs upgraded in the hotel except for the personnel. The service almost made up for the property condition.

The view is awesome, the service is fantastic,the breakfast is good . If I have a chance to go back ,I will stay there again!

Never come back here again.

I stayed here 3 years ago and now I came back with full disappoinment: old facilities, smelling carpet, very poor breakfast, and the beach is totally in very bad condiction as they are under constrution but without noticed in advance. The plus point is the friendly staffs but not really professional. Compared with the rate paid, I am sure you can have better choice.

We liked the beach

The room was so rundown. Everything else was good - the breakfast, the beach, the staff.

Read the fine print and beware

Beware. Travel time from Ho Chi Minh airport to this hotel is 5 hours by car which is almost as long as the flight from Melbourne, Australia to Vietnam. You need a Vietnamese government VISA to travel to Vietnam and you will not be allowed on the plane in Australia without a VISA letter. Once in Vietnam, you will need 2 passport size photographs to provide to customs as well as your VISA letter so they can process a VISA for you at the airport. In my case, the VISA letter never arrived in time so I was not allowed to board the plane in Australia and lost the whole hotel money (you pay the whole amount of your stay upfront in Ocean Dunes Resort), as I had to cancel flights and hotel due to this. Be careful as the management at this Resort will not contemplate any requests for money back, whether you paid for a week's stay or 2 month stay..no matter, you will loose all of your money.

hotel on beach with nuie surroundings

A hotel that is located on the beach, fairly empty when we stayed there at Easter 2017 - so no problem getting a sun bed by either pool. Make sure you book a sea view room - very good view of sea and gardens. The downside is that you have to walk about 500m+ to get off of the hotel site, and there is a lot of building work going on in the front of the hotel, although this is not noisy during the day or evening. but this didnt spoil our holiday there at all.

Could be better

Too loud and need update the room carpet dirty and room smell smoking while asked for nonsmoking. Music too loud for the out door party. Staff very nice and pleasant.

Fantastic resort in quiet area.

Resort was wonderful. Room had plenty of space, staff were all excellent in both their jobs and politeness and attentiveness. Chi tai in the mornings with a very experienced teacher. He was patient and ensured we all kept time. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough.

So quiet, so good

Great resort. Quiet location. Right on the beach. Has pools, tennis, spa. So good to spend relaxing days here before heading off to Saigon. Staff are great- so helpful and always with a smile. Tai chi in the mornings after a great buffet Breakfast.

No longer a 4☆ hotel

As many people have said this hotel is dated and the Internet sucks. But is still has some good points. Breakfast is pretty good. Dinner is excellent but expensive. The view and exterior property is pretty nice. The furniture In the rooms need a major upgrade, I can't understand how they managed to mess up the Internet. But I think this hotel now caters to locals and Chinese saw only 1 other westerner during my time there.

Subpar in every way

Upon arriving at our room, we quickly request another room because of the terrible odor. The staff moved us to another room, with similar condition, then we noticed the hallway also has similar smell (likely mold or smog). Fearing we may be allergic to this smell, we have to go to a different hotel, although we had paid in full for 2 nights at this hotel ...

Nice resort

We stayed one night only while on the road. Very helpful great staff.

Unpleasant expenses

Over all it was a ok resort. I knew this resort from day zero. It was a very nice and premier resort. It is worn and torn now. Management is not up to standard. Staff is unhappy, food is not up to standard, and many amenities are not maintained properly. I won't come back or recommend this resort

Nice Hotel for Young Families

Hotel suffers from its location. Most of the attractions have moved to Mui Ne. The hotel itself is nice, good facilities, plenty of lounge space, immediate access to a private beach, two pools and all sorts of things for young families to do. It seems as though it has become more of a resort focussing on drawing families with young children. The hotel no longer has a golf course, there is not too much to do nearby, the hotel is aging, the food is a bit pricey but they seem to know they can charge a little more since nothing else is nearby. The wifi does not seem to work very well other than in the lobby, the elevators are slow and the stairs cut out between the first and second floor, and the biggest disappointment is that there is only one bus a day to Mui Ne and its a one way transportation at 14:00. This was a bit inconvenient. They should have more trips daily and return times. The hotel seems great for young families. They do offer good massages at a reasonable price, the food is elaborate and delicious, the service is wonderful and the entire staff is friendly and the concierge was helpful in arranging tours and activities. Overall the hotel was nice and I would recommend for young families. Most immediate improvements should be wifi and transportation times. These should be easy fixes and in my opinion would immediately upgrade the rating of the hotel.

Excellent solution to relax in front of the Ocean

Loved the quietness, beauty of the external decor, the swimming pools, the staff (always attentive, smiling and ready to help), the spa centre and the trips the hotel organized. Plus, the food was really good and still relatively cheap (albeit a bit expensive for Vietnamese standards). Our room was ocean-facing: beautiful view and pretty large in general, very clean. I think that with a touch-up of the bathrooms (they are small and really look early '90s...) this hotel could reall get full marks! The beach is very small and (in December) very windy, so we spent most of our time at the pool vs. at the beach, which is quite unusual for us. There is plenty of rooms for kids to play without bothering anyone, so this is also a plus. Please also notice this is, together with Mui Ne, a go-to holiday destination for Russians, who make up circa 90% of the tourists.

Great resort

A great place to stay. The people was awesome and couldn't do enough for us.

Great location, good midweek off peak destination.

We were very happy with everything, we were upgraded into a deluxe room, good size, great view of beach,pools and very well maintained gardens, the down side was we had money stolen from our room( it was tucked inside a camera case- they only took the U.S money, left the Aus$$) and also underwear????. When we spoke to Reception, he pretty much blew us off and that was the end of it. A big downer to an otherwise lovely place. All the other staff were fabulous!!!!

Lovely Staff

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and we had a lovely stay. The food was good and no real complaints other than that there wasn't really a kids club and some more sun loungers near the pool would be nice.

Friendly Service away from the crowd

It is one of the few hotels/resorts in the town of Phan Thiet, making it the choice location if you want to be near the locals and away from the crowded tourist areas. The staff is friendly and professional.

Nice place, shame about the Karaoke

After a hard year at work, I thought I had earned some down time and went to Phan Thiet for a peaceful break, I even paid extra for sea view rooms.. I could not have picked a worse hotel for peace and quiet if I had been trying! The hotel had organised a private party for some group and set up a disco by the pool, speakers the size of wardrobes set 30m away from the front of the hotel, directly facing all of the sea view rooms. The 'party' lasted from 5pm until 11pm and included some of the worst karaoke singers imaginable. Hotel manager, I hope you are reading this because you were nowhere to be found on the night or the day after this nonesense - because I need to tell you that your hotel is the worst I've stayed in! Is there any reason why your little man on his ride-on grass cutter has to start work at 5.30am? - is there any reason why the speakers at your pool parties could not have been set up to face the beach, and then we could have had a night in the rooms without our ears bleeding? and is there any reason that when I was looking for you, all I could find was a ten year old girl on the front desk who did not understand a word of English? If you want peace and quiet, go somewhere else!!

Old But GOOD~!

오래되었지만 정말 잘 관리된 호텔이고 직원들도 친절하고 조식은 메뉴에 변화가 거의 없지만 괜찮은 식사를 할수 있었습니다. 룸서비스 메뉴는 빠른 조리와 맛도 좋았습니다. 5년전부터 여러번 이용했는데 항상 만족합니다.

Fira jul och Ny År i värmen

Väldigt bra hotell. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal men de kunde knappt prata nån engelska. Det var väldigt lugnt vid pool området när vi var här under julveckan. Bra frukost, bra AC och bra wi-fi. Bra säng men lite för liten 120cm. Skön och billig massage på hotellet. Vi hade rum med havsutsikt med stor balkong. Enda minus var stranden. Pytte liten strand och smutsig vatten. Vi badade inte en enda gång i havet. Kan tänka mig att stanna här flera gånger.

오래되었지만 아주 잘 관리된 호텔~!

판티엣에 갈때마다 이용했습니다. 오래되었지만 정말 잘 관리가 되어온 호텔입니다. 직원들도 모두 친절했고 아침식사도 좋았습니다. 몇개월만에 갔는데 알아봐주는 도어맨이 인상적이었습니다. 다음에 또 이용할 예정입니다.

近くに食事をする所が少なないが、 ホテルでの食事は満足。 少し古い感じはするが、 この辺りでは一番のホテルだと思う。

Good Hotel~!

It's a very old hotel, but it's very good. I'll visit you again next time. Thank you for all your kindness. Two thing I regret is that I didn't have enough breakfast menu and wifi was not connected or too slow. But you were all good people.

Nedslående fremtidsutsikter for Ocean Dunes

Dessverre er Ocean Dunes (tidligere Novotel Du Parc) blitt liggende helt i skyggen av det kommende fem stjerners kjempekomplekset langs stranden i Phan Thiet. Dette forberedes for fullt (sammen med den kommende flyplassen), og jeg fikk anledning til å se noen av forberedelsene under oppholdet på Ocean Dunes. Det hersker stor usikkerhet mht hotellet Ocen Dunes' fremtid, hvilket er sterkt beklagelig. Dette hotellet, med sin historie og sin ypperlige beliggenhet med en helt fantastisk betjening, fortjener en absolutt bedre stabilitet og ditto nutsikter for fremtiden. Det samme gjør mange gjester som vender tilbake år etter år.

Hotel parfait pour repos, plage et piscines.

Super séjour de 6 nuits, tout est bien, les piscines, le jardin, accès direct à la plage, le petit déjeuner parfait avec un excellent choix, la chambre avec terrasse et salon extérieur, nous avons rencontré un couple de Francais qui vient dans cet hôtel depuis 5 ans et on comprend pourquoi. Si je reviens au Vietnam je referais un séjour dans cet hôtel. Le personnel est toujours aux petits soins pour vous, ils sont vraiment agréables. Nous avions l'option diner inclus, la cuisine est bonne avec spécialités vietnamienne.

Hotell med mer att önska

Hotellet har en privat strand samt ett välskött poolområde. Rummen har det nödvändigaste och det är rent och fräsch men det är också tydligt att några uppdateringar av rummen eller hotellet i sin helhet inte har gjorts. Maten är dyr men lämnar ändå mer att önska, vi sökte oss därför utanför hotellet för att hitta restauranger och vi upplevde då att hotellet låg lite avsides. Vi var väldigt få gäster på plats och upplevelsen var att det var desto mer personal. Trots det höll sig servicenivån endast på en väldigt grundläggande nivå. Vill du ha något får du själv söka upp personalen och ingen kommer självmant och frågar om ni vill ha någon påfyllning eller om ni vill ha en karta över området och de var inte heller uppdaterade om sina erbjudanden mellan avdelningar. Vi saknade även Wifi under större delen av vistelsen och fick även där själva aktivt driva frågan och fick ingen info om varför det inte fungerade. Vi fick ett väldigt medelmåttigt intryck av vår vistelse och skulle därför inte rekommendera det. Vill ni bara ha lugn och ro och hänga vid hotellet så är både pool och strand lättillgängligt och trevligt. Dock är stranden ganska skräpig.

オーシャンビューを選ぼう。

オーシャンビューの部屋は良いのですが、逆側は工事中で眺望は全く望めません。以前はゴルフ場だったので、それなりの眺めでしたが、現在はゴルフ場を壊して造成を行っています。

판티엣비치를 즐길수 있는 최고의 호텔 호텔은 오래되었지만 굉장히 깨끗하게 관리 조식은 매우 좋았고 객실의 침구는 편안합니다 무이네와는 전혀다른 곳이므로 무이네에 가실분은 이곳에 숙박하지 마세요 판티엣 시내는 택시로 기본요금 리조트 시설은 너무 좋았고 스텝들도 친절합니다 가격도 저렴하고 행복하게 삼일을 보냈습니다

First day in Phan Thiet

I am here for the first day of my trip of Phan Thiet and mainly for golf, but Ocean Dunes golf club is closed. What a wrong information before I come.

Отдыхали с ребенком 2 года в ноябре 2015. Отель с огромной ухоженной территорией, по которой гуляют птички похожие на цапли. Номера с видом на море достаточно большие и уютные. Бассейн очень удобный для купания детей, рядом много лежаков. Большой пляж, с красивейшими утренними отливами моря. При отливе на пляже образуются небольшие лужицы моря, где спокойно могут плескаться маленькие дети. К сожалению гольф поля уже нет, на его месте строят огромный отель. Завтраки хорошие. Накормить маленького ребенка не проблема (супы пюре, омлеты, сосиски, суп Фо, рис, фрукты). Обеды и ужины по меню, готовят вкусно. На такси недорого можно доехать до Муйне в БоКе, где располагается многочисленные количество кафешек. БоКе - это гастрономический РАЙ из живых морепродуктов. Готовят очень быстро и вкусно (особенно на гриле). Есть особое меню: кобра, черепаха, крокодил, мурена. Все кафешки мягко говоря не очень чистые. Рекомендуем кафе Mr. Crab, там работает русскоговорящий вьетнамец Коля. Он же организовывал экскурсии и трансферт в аэропорт. Неподалеку от отеля находится ТЦ Lotte Mart, где можно купить продукты и одежду.

古いホテルだが、よく整備され清潔に保たれている。設備や食事も良好。ただ残念なのはゴルフ場が潰されて住宅開発されており、やや殺風景な環境となっている。

Cơ sở tốt. Phòng bị hôi lúc ban đầu sau đó nhân viên phải dọn lại. OK. Thức ăn buổi sáng đã xuống cấp nhiều so với trước đây. Chỉ còn mỗi món bánh mì là tốt. Nhân viên phục vụ tốt.

깨끗하고 친절하고 리조트 정원과 바다가 바로 연결되어 있어 너무좋고 정원도 예쁘고 수영장은 크지 않지만 아이들과 놀기에 좋았어요

My favourite resort in Phan Thiet

Staff are very friendly, hospitality, great services from front desk to room services. Breakfast are great with many food options and quality. Location is in center, nice beach, landscaping. My family has been here many times and this resort is always in our 1st thought for Phan Thiet trip.

Fantastisk hotell , utrolig hyggelig betjening.

Hadde et fantastisk opphold, mat, servise, uteområdet var nydelig, flotte bassenger, utrolig hyggelig betjening, ja alt var helt topp. En spennende beliggenhet, vi fikk oppleve Vietnam rett utenfor hotellet. Se hvordan de lever, bor, markeder og spise masse god mat. Du bør ikke være kresen hvis du reiser til Vietnam, standarden er ganske annerledes enn hjemme, Phan Thiet er ikke en turistplass, ingenting er lagt opp for turister. Det er en restaurant rett utforbi alleen til hotellet på venstre side som var bra med god mat og god servise.Men til gjengjeld får du oppleve Vietnam som det er. Vennlige folk overalt, fasinerende mopedtrafikk. Hotellet hadde gratis sykkelutleie som vi benyttet oss av flere ganger. Vi syklet til Mui Ne, og spiste der, mange gode restauranter og mye Russere!! Vi ble også bedt hjem på middag til ei av jentene som jobbet der, hele familien var samlet så vi fikk en kjempeopplevelse av de store. For ikke å snakke om den gode maten vi ble servert. Så vi anbefaler Phan Thiet på det varmeste.

Nice hotel with beautiful grassland

I stayed in this hotel many times. I love its grassland, big and clean, giving me a feeling of peaceful. It had golf course before but no more now. The staff is nice and helpful. The hotel is a bit old especially the elevator.
