Wonderful visit here. Checked in after hours and they had keys ready for our arrival. Had the most delicious breakfast and barista coffee in the morning. Wish we spent more time here. Loved it.

Hotel was lovely in the perfect location beside the beach and town. Staff were super friendly and always on hand to help when needed. Exceptionally clean and spacious room with a lovely pool and relax area. Nice fresh breakfast also a big plus. Will definitely be back again.

The hotel as clean and in a great location across the street from the beach. The staff were super helpful with arrangements for activities during our stay. Having access to free laundry facilities was fantastic while on a two month vacation.

They helped with our elopement wedding and coordinated everything perfectly. Jojo and Peter were phenomenal: I have stayed in thousands of hotels ( literally) I highly recommend you stay here.

We had an excellent stay. Beautiful room, clean, spacious, all amenities needed. Small kitchen, great blow dryer excellent view of the beach. Food was delicious as well as the coffee. We highly recommend this hotel!!

This property is in a great spot, across the road from the beach and a short walk to Main Street. The breakfast was good but the property needs updating. We stayed here years ago but now especially the pool area( broken tiles) and the rooms need a refresh

This is a hidden gem so don't tell too many people! Tucked away with absolute beach front access, it's quiet and convenient. Jojo and Pete the managers are very accommodating and welcoming making sure you have everything you need for a relaxing stay. The breakfasts are included and are certainly among the best we've had. The eggs Benedict and the scrambled eggs were preceded with a generous fruit plate and who can go by a Fonzie coffee. Keep it quiet but do give it a try!

Fabulous stay on 4 mile beach

Absolutely stunning location, right on 4 mile beach! We woke up to see the ocean through some palm trees, made some lattes with the espresso maker and milk frother in the room, and just soaked it all in. Our room was lovely - airy, light, lovely bedding. The kitchenette was appreciated, and daily breakfast was delicious. Front desk and dining staff were all so helpful and kind. They arranged a day on the reef with Sailaway - fantastic! Didn’t use the pool but it looked lovely. The hot tub wasn’t very hot - that’s the only suggestion I can come up with. Book this hotel - you won’t regret it!

Hotel was a little tired and shabby, certainly compared to the pictures. Pool area was not well maintained. The location of the breakfast area looking towards the sea was lovely and the breakfast choice was very good.

This is not a hotel but instead each room is owned by someone and the front desk is managed by a company that can’t help with reservations. The front desk is not serviced 24 hours and does not go out of their way to assist you. The pool is small and uninviting and the bathrooms need updating.

Good location. The hotel is nice but it doesn’t feel like 4.5 starts. The safe was not working and we told the guy at the reception the fist day we arrived but they never came to check it out. Good breakfast.

Slice of paradise overlooking Four Mile Beach

My wife and I loved our stay. The view over the ocean from our suite was amazing. Unfortunately we couldn’t leave the sliding doors open as they had no screens and we would’ve got eaten alive by the bugs. At every opportunity we sat outside on our balcony and enjoyed our view of Four Mile Beach. Our suite was lovely and very comfortable. Breakfast daily was amazing. The hotel was kept wonderfully watered and clean. The facilities were terrific and the airport shuttle was a great service. The pool area was spectacular. Special mention must go to lovely Deanna and Nicole at Reception and the delightful Amy we saw in the restaurant each morning for breakfast. These girls are absolute gems. We would definitely recommend staying at the Peninsula.

We loved our stay of 4 nights! All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The cleaning staff were attentive and thorough. The position of the hotel is spectacular, our room had a gorgeous beach view. Loved the spa bath and swimming pool. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty! We dined at the restaurant one night and enjoyed the service and fine cuisine. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday, a pity it couldn't have been longer!

I was invited to the Happy Hour and after waiting for 25 minutes to be served, I walked out. I had a 300g Rib Eye Fillet, medium/rare but it came rare and I separated 60g of uneatable grizzel. It was not a Rib Eye Fillet.

We loved the location of the Peninsula, just across the road from 4 Mile Beach. We have stayed in PD many times and this was our first experience staying in this area. We would usually stay further down Macrossan Street but we have now found our perfect location. It's an easy walk along Macrossan to shops and restaurants. We stayed in a ground floor ocean view room which was perfect for our needs. We loved being able to walk directly out to the beach area. Also, breakfast was included which was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant looks out to the beach and the views were great as was the breakfast. We will definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at the peninsula boutique. The breakfasts were definitely a highlight! Staff were welcoming and helpful. Covid was just starting to hit so they were working down staff and still held it together very well. If I went back to port would definitely stay again and also recommend to others.

Do yourself a favor and go stay here! And no I dont work for them! Haha My wife and I booked here and we were both so delighted. Its quiet,peaceful, and the staff are super friendly. Now the above is great but heres the best part of our stay- the food is sublime. My wife had a bug pasta, I had the steak and no word of a lie, we both drooled a little. Amazing! We will be back and wont stay anywhere else then this property whilst in Port Dougals.

Location cannot be beaten. Down the quiet end of Macrossan St, so easy access to restaurants, shops etc, but directly across from the beach. Our room was small, but super clean and really well appointed. Staff were friendly and helpful. Appreciated the complimentary amenities such as bikes, beach chairs, beach towels etc as they made our stay super easy. We'll be back!

Love, love, love this place. The room was big and clean, had a coffee machine and cooking facilities including a dishwasher. The bathroom was a little dated but I can forgive that. The staff were always so helpful even before we visited, with regards to organising airport transfers and once we were there they always had a smile and helpful information on the area. Close to town but not in the centre with a lovely view of the beach. Breakfast by the pool each morning was a winner but we also tried the restaurant and that was fab too. Highly recommend this place

This hotel is amazing. The quality of the property and the service of the staff is incredible. The staff checking us in was so helpful in explaining the area and even local customs. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and resorts over the years and the Peninsula Hotel is top of the list of places I want to visit again.

The facility flowed with air. You felt like you were in a tropical place:) . We watched the Moon rise from our dining table on the front patio over the water. The beach is super close to the hotel. Breakfast was great and had no issue with seating or placing an order and getting food. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious with great products and linens & towels. There was no door on the bathroom, which I didn't think was a problem. We wish we'd had 3 nights at least. We only had 2 and that wasn't enough. We did a snorkle day with Wavelength and went up to Mossman Gorge on another, we would have liked to visit up further but didn't have time. Cairns Botanical Garden is a must.

Wonderful location across the street from 4-Mile Beach. Views of the beach & ocean from our room. Wonderful staff would help with selecting day-trips and restaurants - and they didn’t steer us wrong. Would go back in a minute if it wasn’t 7,000 + miles away! Excellent on-site restaurant and a great pool to unwind in after a tiring day with a glass of wine and an appetizer. Owners are on-site and friendly & available, helping you plan your day’s adventures.

After a week long stay at this resort we left with nothing but smiles. Big thank you to Gavin and Kylie (the owners) and all staff who went out of their way proving why their hotel service is the best around.  The breakfast setup and menus were fantastic, the rooms are modern, spacious, clean and with great ocean views if that's what you pay for.  Free bike hire and free laundry service is a great touch. The hotel is right near the patrolled swimming area on the beach and a (very) short walk to everything that makes Port Douglas what it is along Macrossan Street. The service is what makes the difference here. Anything you need Gavin, Kylie and their staff are only too happy to assist or point you in the right direction.  Expensive yes, but for good reason.  Best service we have experienced at any Australian hotel we have stayed in. Highly recommend paying the extra for an ocean view spa room

A lovely, small hotel in Port Douglas. Warm, friendly, helpful staff. A short walk from the town, a short drive to the Daintree Rain forest. Situated across a quiet road from the beach. The complimentary laundry room was very useful.
