No onsite presence but responsive to calls. Nice location and room. Poor internet.
View from the top of hill
Huge room with coffee/tea making equipment. Very clean. Patio with table and chairs outside to enjoy the lake view.
We had a large spacious room with everything we needed. We did not see any staff during our 3 night stay but this did not cause any problems for us. The property is quiet and has old world charm. It was to far from the centre of Queenstown for us to walk but if your young and fit you probably would not mind. The property is a little dated.
The lake view is astounding and the unit very spacious (large bedroom, den and bathroom)
Pleasant surprise pity gardens & entrance bit untidy but room was awesome
Lovely location with exceptional views. The place is shabby around the edges..needs better housekeeping and yard tidying. First impression was not good but the place grew on us after two nights. Really nice bathroom. Good bed. Very spacious room, but needed a good cleaning ..especially dusting. Some areas had weeks of dust layers. This is not a “luxury” lodging by any account.
Dated
The outside is neglected and not worthy of 4 stars. Inside is dated. The manager was very friendly. There is only a small table for reception and a phone number should you need the Manager. The view was stunning from the room. However it needs a good dust. We didn’t have a hand towel or bath mat. Magazines are from 2015. The hotel needs money spent on it.
Great location and beautiful views. Comfortable bed. Plenty of parking. Very clean. Needs a little tlc. For example, blown lightbulbs made room a little dark. A kitchenette would be a useful addition. Instructions for wall heater would have been good.
Staff had made a real effort to take care of all the small things
Not customer service, not a working phone, TV not connected. Not a welcoming place.
Perfect accommodation with excellent visitor facilities, 1st class views and a pleasurable experience for 2 days. Would rate it the equal of any holiday hotel that we have used. Would be our first choice when visiting Queenstown.
Great view
We loved this hotel. It had a fabulous view and was near downtown.
Really needs updating but very nice staff
We though the hotel would be right on the lake, however it was up some very steep roads, so that was disappointing. At roughly 9 minutes drive form Queenstown CBD, it was too far to walk comfortably. The hotel room (the Wakatipu Gold Suite) was quite old fashioned, however to it's credit it was very clean and tidy. The hotel could be quite nice, but it needs a huge tidy up in the gardens and the rooms need updating - they feel quite oppressive with the dark paneled wood ceilings (at least our suite felt like that). The mattress was old so wasn't very comfortable. Also, there was no air conditioning in our suite (it was cool weather so that was no problem). On a positive note, the young man working there was very polite. As there was no phone in the room (and we didn't have roaming on our mobiles) he lent us a mobile for us to be able to call cabs. I must also comment on the generous toiletry supplies in the bathrooms, very thoughtful. We wouldn't stay here again, as it wasn't to our taste, was too far from town, and was difficult to access comfortably by foot due to steep road, but the young man working there (Rodman) was nothing but kind, welcoming and helpful.
Modern with European class.
Incredible location high up on a cliff overlooking the lake. Classy, quiet, elegant.
Nice Hilltop Retreat
Beautiful Boutique Lodge 5 minutes from all of the central Queenstown action. If you want to be in the middle of the maylay then this may be a little removed for you, but if you are looking for a spacious, boutique retreat with great service and a tremendous view then definitely consider the Pencarrow Luxury Lodge.
We did not want to leave
It was a very nice place. We had the Southern Cross Suite. Nice view over the lake. Everything was perfect.
Perfekter Ort zum relaxen
Zum Abschluss nochmal so richtig gut grhen lassen kann man hier, allerdings nicht grade günstig. Sensationell auch das Frühstück, dasman dazubuchen kann. Toller Seeblick inklusive

A great stay away from tourists
This is a beautiful location, beautiful building and a luxury stay. The welcome was warm and friendly, the suite was excellent. I wanted to relax after days on the road, and this let me do exactly that. The view was superb, and the amenities excellent.
