Minutes to the beach, comfortable bed, great overall experience

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was great and the staff was friendly and welcoming.

We recently stayed at Pelican Point for 3 nights and found it to be an affordable and pleasant place for our group of 5. The apartment was clean and equipped with everything we needed, including 2 queen beds and a sofa couch that can be made larger, a small kitchen, and a fridge. The area was quiet and the staff were great. Although we didn't use the pool due to windy and cold weather, the location is unbeatable. It's just a one-minute walk to the most beautiful and long beach. Plus, a ten-minute walk along the beach takes you to the popular Pier 60. Overall, it was a great stay, and we highly recommend it!

Room 227 had cockroaches. We squished five in our room during our stay. Hopefully, they are not returning home with us or the hotel will be receiving the extermination bill.

Enjoyed our stay. Motel was very clean and they came in each day to clean. Pool was heated. Bottom rooms werent open yet and no elevator due to hurricane but were told prior to going

We loved our stay at Pelican Pointe! Each room had its own vibe and was slightly different. This resort has the ild Florida vibe, hang out on the patio, have some drinks with friends, watch the peekaboo sunset view, swim in the clean, warm piol, walk to the beach, eat at Salty's next door (great food and drinks). If you are looking for an upscale hotel, this is not your place. If you are looking for a family friendly, clean, convenient, rooms with their own flare, friendly staff, walkable to everything stay, this is your place!

The price was right. The rooms are different than the other hotels I like the separation of the beds. Only problem u had was walking 4 stories because elevator wasn't working

Extremely Pleased!

Upon arrival, customer service was extremely polite and welcoming. Our room was quite large and very clean. The housekeepers came by each morning asking if we needed anything. The heated pool was clean. We were within walking distance from the ocean (less then a 5 minute walk), and there were an abundance of restaurants and shops within walking distance as well. We will definitely be back!

We had a very nice stay. Our room was lovely. Staff was very polite and helpful. My only concern is we did see a couple of bugs in our hotel room. Might wanna spray. Other than that, everything else was great we would totally stay there again

Took my mother out for a weekend here and we really enjoyed it. Very friendly people, staff and great location. Couldn’t have asked for more. And to be honest the rooms looked better in person than in picture. Very pleased!!

I visited this place with family including kids in September.We are satisfied with everything about this place.Room and pool clean,friendly stuff,near to the beach,toys for kids for the beach etc. Fully recommend 👌

Don’t stay here if you can’t overlook inconvenience. We ended up having to move rooms twice. The first time there was a leak in our bathroom ceiling. The second time the battery on the key card scanner died and upon further investigation they found that the entire lock mechanism was malfunctioned. The staff was incredible and timely throughout the entire process. I will say that our room got nicer and the view of the ocean got better each time we moved. We had to call each day to get our room cleaned, despite having the “please tidy this room” sign on our door. The entire place needs some updates but they do a nice job keeping what they do have clean. The location is very convenient. You are steps away from the beach, shopping and a variety of different places to eat. I would consider staying here again, maybe after some updating.

Good deal for the money

Overall the hotel was a good deal for the money we paid. The location is excellent if you are a beach goer. The pool in the hotel is good and next door there is a wonderful restaurant to eat at. The room was nice size and clean. The issue was the air-conditioning that is located at the end of the room and does not distribute well thru the room. The bathroom could use some updating.

We stayed six days and have never felt such comfort and hospitality. The rooms made us feel at home. The ambiance very relaxing with the added benefit of being near to all. Overall a great experience.

Nothing but Rave Reviews for Pelican Pointe Hotel!

Amazing Stay!!!! Nicole at the front desk was totally awesome ... she was very professional, well versed in hotel etiquette, knew about her locale, and answered everything I needed to know. I was there for 3 nights to attend a wedding at the Tampa Bay Garden Club. Staying at Pelican Pointe Hotel was a luxury because it has such easy access to the main part of Clearwater Beach. There is only one hotel between it and an amazing ice cream shop. It is also next door to some incredible food that has live music in the evening. The Pier for the evening, Mandalay Avenue for the shopping, and Frenchy’s Off the Hook for shopping was easily within a mile’s walk. One day I walked 3 miles to just enjoy it all over and over again!!! Needless to say, “I love Pelican Pointe!”

Great place to visit

Roaches are at this hotel!!! I informed the guy at the desk and he didn’t say anything about it or offer an any kind of refund for the roach crawling on the wall!

I rate the hotel as a motel from the 60's. AC unit was back oass the kitchenette. Could cool the sleeping or living area. On-line project corectly. WS mis-leading

The rooms are clean, kept safe at night, and close to everything. I really enjoy staying here. I've been here 3 times so far with and without family while staying to see relatives. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Only complaint is the construction. This hotel construction makes it a little difficult to get bags in from the parking lot. One or two bags not an issue, trying to get a cart around the construction is a bit of a pain. There is a also a new hotel being built right next to it and the jerks start banging at 5AM. One thing, it's a beach hotel and if you have a problem with a little sand everywhere, you may not want to stay in a beach hotel.

Convenient Location

The location is great, easy to walk to restaurant and the beach. While we were there the pool was closed but I was warned about this before arrival. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again on our next trip.

Great Place! Nearby the beach and so many restaurants. The hotel also offers a discount for the restaurant next door and other places too. It is clean and spacious, my only complain is the beds aren't the best, but overall its a great hotel. If you're looking to be near the beach, that offers free parking, and a decent sized room then this is a great option.

Pictures were taken at least 20 years ago. Reserve five days and didn’t even stay a single. Cockroaches in the bathroom, moldy wood rotten doors. Why it says it’s a nine out of 10, no idea. Literally the most beaten up hotel on the street. You’re going to vacation in Clearwater steer clear from this listing

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay. We had to re-book because of Tropical Storm Debbie. Nicole was so helpful. She is a gem. We had to move everything one day later. It was very stressful. Everything turned out great. We have been at this Hotel for 3 years in a row. This Hotel has charm. Why pay more for the higher end Hotels. This Hotel is in a prime location. Close to beach, shops, restaurants, and attractions. Also, free parking. Hotels around the area charge $30 to $50 a day. What a rip off. Will definitely be back again.

Pelican Pointe was clean, comfortable, cute, and conveniently located. Everyone there was helpful and kind. It is not deluxe, but they thought of all the details that you would need in a hotel.... beach towels, hair dryer, bottled water, makeup removers, ironing board, etc. Would definitely go back :) There pool was nice and never crowded.

The check in wasn’t bad things are under construction so it’s a bit confusing of how to get into the hotel. They gave us this room that had no working TV so we went down and talked about it to the staff and they told us that they would check and see what was wrong with the TV. We told them that we were going to go for dinner so it would be okay if they were in the room while we weren’t there. Later that night they sent us a text message saying that they were unable to figure out what was wrong with the TV in the room so they were giving us another room so when we finally arrive to the hotel, there is no power so we couldn’t see anything. After finally making our way back to the room. It didn’t make sense to change to the new room that they were going to give us when we don’t have any electricity so we also didn’t have AC! Horrible experience no one reached out about the inconvenience I will never book with this hotel again.

This is a safe place with good wifi to be able to work remote and still spend some beach time. It's a go to and I've used this place several times.

Location was great, price was good, walls and floors are paper thin. I heard everything!

Spacious rooms, had all the amenities needed (towels, beach towels, shampoo conditioner body wash). Very close to beach. Excellent front desk service by Nicole. She went above and beyond to help us and made our vacation! The cleaning staff was very thorough and polite and our room always looked great. Parking was available and hotel guests were respectful. Great experience overall.

My kids and I stayed at Pelican Pointe for 3 Nights over a weekend and we couldn’t be more pleased. The proximity to the beach was so awesome. The fact that parking was included was huge and the entire staff went well above and beyond to make sure our stay was both comfortable and convenient.I would absolutely stay there again and would highly recommend it to others as well. Major kudos to the front desk staff, they were exceptional!!! Many Thanks!!

Eating areas very limited. No breakfast in area, the small McDonalds we used before was closed. No other intertainment for children like movies or arcade. Like the Daytona area betterfor this reason.

I stayed here for 5 nights. I would rate it more than 5 stars if i could. This room was very clean, had all the essentials I needed and was so close to everything in walking distance. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked to freeze us :) This room definitely felt like home away from home. I would stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.

I would love to give Pelican Pointe a 5 star review. My one and only complaint was the construction noise from the hotel being built next door, and I know that is not their fault. We stayed for 2 nights after visiting family in Florida. We were able to walk to bars, restaurants, shopping. Pier 60 is only half a mile away. There is also a Jolly Trolley that stops right outside the motel. The beach is a five minute walk. Everything is easily accessible. Amazing value for the money. We will definitely be back!

Nice staff. Not child friendly - no secondary locks on doors to prevent running out. Would have been nice to know of the on going renovations that prevented my toddler from napping at all.

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. Very good location, across from the clearwater Beach and the pool was very clean. We enjoyed our stay there. We left a day earlier because the weather condition. I will recommend this hotel and planning to go back.

Whis the pool stayed open a little longer for a longer night swim

I only gave 4 stars for appearance as they are doing renovations to the outside of the building. The room was very clean and housekeeping cleaned our room daily. The walk to the beach was maybe a minute and a half and Salty's next door we ate at a few times and the food was very good. The pool was very clean, although we only used it once as there were a lot of kids in the pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area and would definitely stay again.

We had an awesome stay! Staff were so helpful and friendly. Beach access was across the street. Lots and lots of restaurants easily walkable. And for $5/day you could ride the shuttle from the stop just in front of the hotel. No need for a car. Not fancy or big, but clean and comfortable! Would definitely stay again!

This is the 2nd time I’ve stayed here, it is by far the nicest of the smaller hotels in the area. I would highly recommend!

Room 216 needs to be sprayed for bugs

If you like cockroaches, this is the place to stay the people would only refund the money of the two days that we were not able to stay there they offered no recourse on the two days that we stayed there and dealt with their bug infestation do yourself a favor and stay real far away from this property

Price is great. Close to shopping and beach access. Bathrooms were stuffy and hot without good air flow but willing to deal with that for a reasonable priced hotel that was clean.
